Webový systém pro správu elektronických dokumentů / Modification of web system for electronic document managementDufka, Zbyněk January 2015 (has links)
The aim of this diploma thesis is to provide a systematic study of Open Journal System, which is designed for electronic research papers publishing. Due to the nature of information published in this system, there is an elaborate approval process controlled by the editor. The main objective of this thesis is the realization of a system module, which would, at the end of the approval process, implement a stamp incorporating metadata of the source magazine to individual electronic documents. The thesis gives insight into the development of the structure of the Open Journal System and, briefly, describes the possibility of implementing this system. Another part of the work focuses on the sub-steps of the stamping module which was implemented into the system. This module allows editors to stamp individual electronic PDF documents that are published within the magazine and its various volumes. The module is designed to simplify the editing process of the journal with no prolongation or any other additional time required. Among other things, the reader learns how it is possible to create a block module, which can be used in the sidebar to display any system information. The work, also, previews the possibility to customize the user interface. Each implemented part contains solution proposals and, further, the implementation method and technical description is described in more detail. For better understanding and integrity of the work, stretches of the given code are also included, this might serve as an inspiration for users‘ modifications of the system.

Megokgo ya lethabo : kanegelorato ya sepedi (Sepedi)Lebaka, Kgeledi Johanna 07 March 2013 (has links)
Lentsoane uses the title of his narrative to highlight the theme. Special attention is paid to this. The suspense is captured in the clash between the traditional attitude to life held by the Bapedi and the modem philosophy of life held by the younger generation. Lentsoane effectively uses the concept of a journey to convey his message to his reader. The visit of the antagonist Kgoteledi to the homeland is especially important in this regard, as her family there is conservative and thus strongly supports her actions. But it is also here that she becomes aware of change. Other important techniques used by Lentsoane are: contrast, symbolism, shifting of focus, mirrorimages, naming, summary and retardation, foreshadowing, but also the reference to related matters. This latter technique has an important emphasising function. Although conflict is emphasised all the time, the climax is reached with the announcement that Mihloti, Dikgoneng's girlfriend, is pregnant. The mother (and therefore also the rest of the family) hereby accept that change has also become part of their lives. Kgoteledi comes to terms with the situation and passes away. / Dissertation (MA)--University of Pretoria, 1999. / African Languages / unrestricted

"Walkin into World War III": The Apocalyptic Death Theme on The Freewheelin' Bob DylanLjunggren, Roger January 2020 (has links)
The Freewheelin’ Bob Dylan was released in 1963, during the Cold War. Nuclear apocalypse was a big fear at the time and the fright deeply influenced the album. Therefore, this essay argues that the record contains a poetic narrative, with the overarching theme of contemporary apocalyptic death. The poetic narrative reveals an allusion to Noah’s Ark and the story of Judas, which is not present if the songs are analyzed independently. The narrative consists of five parts: “Blowin’ in the Wind” deals with the uncertainty of the 1960s; “Masters of War” describes the arming of the younger generation to fight a nuclear war; the actual apocalyptic event is chronicled in “A Hard Rain’s A-Gonna Fall”; “Talkin’ World War III Blues” narrates the post-apocalyptic event and the final part is “Corrina, Corrina”, which deals with the reproductive consequences. The material will be analyzed, and the conclusion supported, by recourse to historical contextualization and religious symbolism and allusions. The essay uses Beebee’s analysis of “A Hard Rain’s A-Gonna Fall” (1991) and Roos’ work on the entire Dylan canon from a thematic perspective (1982) to support the conclusions made, but compared to previous papers on The Freewheelin’ Bob Dylan, this essay takes the original mode of music consumption into account and studies the album as a greater whole. Through an analysis of the entire record, allusions are encoded that is not evident if each song is interpreted independently.

Tekstuele en visuele kontraste in Georgicon II.1-108Meyer, Roléne 11 1900 (has links)
in Georgi con 11.1 - 108.
onderliggende felix I fortuna/us tema word s6 beklemtoon.
The aim of this dissertation is to indicate the textual and visual contrasts in Georgi con
TI.l - 108. In a broad comparison between Georgica I and II the function and the effect ofBook
2 within the framework of the four poems is determined. With a view to a more penetrating
analysis, Book 2 as a whole and specifically lines 1 - 108 will be dealt with schematically.
Although this puts the panoramic effect at risk, it is the only way in which the complexities of this
poem can be successfully resolved. Book 2 is shown to have a tripartite structure, with a taustheme
as the climax of each of the three divisions. The over-arching theme of reciprocating
variatio- labor also comes to light more clearly.
Lines I - I 08 are of a didactic nature, and simple patterns are shaped out of everyday
objects and ideas. By creating imagines Vergil manages to enforce comparisons and to bring
about contrasts. A meticulous analysis of the text highlights these images more clearly and in this
manner the poet accentuates colour, form, line and texture. When the focus shifts from nature
to man, the contrast between the farmers and the politically powerful Maecenas in lines 3 5 - 46
is brought to the fore to emphasize the underlying theme of felix I fortunatus.
The problem of didacticism is addressed by focusing on the effect of the contrasts between
parallel passages. The textual and visual contrasts in the poet's choice and marshalling of a rich
variety of trees, with a particular reference to their nature, occurrence, provenance and function,
serve as Leitmotif for the dissertation as a whole. / Classics and Modern European Languages / M.A. (Latyn)

In this report we investigate the problems in the cooperation between JM Entreprenad AB and its subcontractors. With the aid of semi constructed interviews with supervisors and foremen, from both the subcontractors and JM Entreprenad AB, we have received point of views on what these problems are, what the consequences are and eventual solutions to solve the problems. Eight points that we refer to as “themes” in the report, has been brought forth by interviewed supervisors and foremen. These are points that affect the cooperation between the two sides out in the production. They list as follows: - Safety - Foreman or Supervisor - Work preparations - The cooperation between different subcontractors - Meetings - Work experience - Change and added work - Planning The information received is analyzed and presented according to themes derived with a thematic analysis. That ensures that the results become easier to present to the reader. Our conclusion is that the cooperation between JM Entreprenad AB and its subcontractors can be influenced in a positive direction if these eight themes are considered. We underline this conclusion with the point that all these themes derive s directly from supervisors and site managers.

K funkci výrazů částicové povahy ve výstavbě textu, zejména k jejich roli v aktuálním členění / Particle Character Units and Their Function in Text Structure, especially in Topic- Focus ArticulationŠtěpánková, Barbora January 2013 (has links)
B. Štěpánková K funkci výrazů částicové povahy ve výstavbě textu... ABSTRACT This dissertation is devoted to a specific type of particle unit which we refer to as the actualizer. Actualizers are differentiated from other particles primarily due to a combination of the following properties: the ability to imply a presupposition and the ability to actualize or emphasize a nearby expression. They play an important role in the topic-focus articulation of a sentence by drawing attention to elements with a greater degree of communicative dynamism, not only in focus or contrastive topic, but also in other parts of the sentence. Unlike previous studies which have concentrated mainly on prototypical representatives of these units, this dissertation tries to capture the greatest possible number of actualizers. At the same time, it aims to describe their semantic characteristics, and based on this, it attempts to categorize actualizers into three semantic groups. From this perspective, we can distinguish between restrictive, inclusive, and temporally emphasizing actualizers. These groups can be further divided according to their specific features. The dissertation also analyzes the possible positioning of the actualizers in various places in a sentence and investigates which expressions can occur in the surroundings...

Basotho oral poetry at the beginning of the 21st centuryTsiu, M. W. (Moruti William), 1944- 31 October 2008 (has links)
Largely based on material recorded during an internationally sponsored inter-university research tour through the Sesotho speaking area of southern Africa in August 2000, this thesis explores the state of the Basotho oral poetry, the dithoko `praise poems', the difela `mine workers' chants' and the diboko `family odes' at the beginning of the 21st century.
Unlike the classical dithoko which were inspired by the wars or the battles in which the Basotho fought as well as cannibalism, those composed at the beginning of the 21st century are inspired by socio-economic and political situations of the poets. Lack of wars has resulted in the poets turning the praising to their chiefs and themselves. Changing socio-economic conditions inspired the difela compositions. The diboko though still a living tradition among the rural Basotho are not adhered to by some who are affected by modernism.
Performance of the three oral genres has shifted from the natural settings such as the battlefield, working parties, traditional courts, assemblies, etc., to organized annual festivals such as Morija Arts & Cultural Festival which constitute the Basotho's `popular culture'. The subject-matter and themes of the dithoko have shifted from warfare to traditional chiefs, current heroic deeds of the poets, current political situations and religion. The difela are characterized by inclusion of new subject-matter. The diboko still play an important function as carriers of the names of the ancestors, the tribal idiosyncrasy of the clan and the history associated with the clan's establishment.
The three Basotho oral genres demonstrate an emergence of a new phenomenon whereby one genre penetrates another, a phenomenon which may be called `migration of texts'. The last chapter explores the insights emanating from the entire research, and discusses suggestions on what should be done to ensure that the Basotho oral genres are maintained and improved. The video footage of the poets recorded at various places of the Free State and Lesotho have contributed to the success of the research. The thesis serves as a contribution to the Basotho's dynamic oral poetry on which scholars will hopefully do further research in the near future. / African Languages / D. Litt et Phil. The theme of protest and its expression in S. F. Motlhake's poetryTsambo, T. L. (Theriso Louisa) 06 1900 (has links)
In the Apartheid South Africa, repression and the heightening of the Blacks' struggle
for political emancipation, prompted artists to challenge the system through their
music, oral poetry and writing. Most produced works of protest in English to reach a
wider audience. This led to the general misconception that literatures in the
indigenous languages of South Africa were insensitive to the issues of those times.
This study seeks firstly to put to rest such misconception by proving that there is
Commitment in these literatures as exemplified in the poetry of S.F. Motlhake.
Motlhake not only expresses protest against the political system of the time, but also
questions some religious and socio-cultural practices and institutions among his
people. The study also examines his selected works as genuine poetry, which does not
sacrifice art on the altar of propaganda. / African Languages / M.A. (African Languages)
