It casts light in the possibility to reflect about the passage ritual of the first clinical consultations, that embraces the psychologist profession. The work consists of addressing the meaning of this experience on clinical consultation beginner trainees. The method has a phenomenological approach, aiming to address the feelings related to the clinical practice beginning. The trainee has been considered as an actor of a historic-socio-political context in which he/she lives, stressing the process of their continuous formation present on their experience perceptions discourse. Four trainee-therapists from a private university Applied Psychology Center in the City of Sao Paulo have been interviewed. They were on the 4th and 5th year of the Psychology Graduation Course, taking care of the Service School users for the first time. The study has focused the complexity of the trainees strategies to deeply live the passage ritual and its importance for the profession beginning. In the individual plan, it has been noticed the influence of supervisors and professors models as an endorsement to face this moment.

Parents and tutors wrote their doubts related to childhood and educational process into an urn located at the reception room of the refered institution´s clinic. The work with the students comprised teaching them to answer the questions received through letters (written language), intending to develop a descriptive language without judgments. The aim of this project was to exercise the phenomenological thought based on an opening attitude, in conformity with the phenomenological reduction proposal. Thus, the students could build their own way of comunication, approaching Merleau Ponty´s concept of speaking language. The dialogue by the means of letters became a privileged situation to teach and learn the phenomenological thought. Through letters students have an experience with others that summon and mobilize them to reflection, and during the elaboration process, they exercise phenomenological attitude. The writing process request patience, effort and dedication to make possible the reflection, the maturity and the composing process of the sending letter. The letters provide the opportunity to debate, in the context of school class, the conflicts and situations experienced in life, giving the students the possibility to act, without the necessity of the real meeting between the parents/tutors and them. Thus, it has opened a mighty space of learning: formation and experience of a new way of looking things. The project was also a space of dialogue between parents/tutors and psychology students, opening the reflection about the questions made by those who participated of it / Esta tese discute uma experiência de estágio supervisionado em Psicologia Fenomenológica, realizada no curso de Psicologia de uma Universidade em São Paulo.

: En studie med genusperspektiv om motiverande och påverkande faktorer i ett traineeprogram / Why do trainees stay after a completed trainee programme? : A study about motivational and influential factors in a trainee programme

Farías, Loretto, Jakobsson, Sofia January 2019 (has links)
Background: Trainee programmes have become more common in the recent years and companies invest both money and time in these trainee programmes. Companies should have knowledge about what motivates and influences the trainees' decision to stay after a completed trainee programme. Theories about motivation and needs rarely revolve about their influence on employees' decision to stay in a company and many of these theories have been developed without a gender perspective. Purpose: The purpose of this paper is to gain an understanding of the factors that are motivating and that influence female and male trainees to remain in a company after a completed trainee programme. In order to achieve this understanding, we will identify needs that may motivate and influence the decisions of women and male trainees to remain in a company. Completion: The study was conducted with a cross-sectional design with five companies and with a qualitative method with the support of quantitative method. Empirical data was collected using questionnaires and semi-structured interviews. Selection of respondents has been made through a targeted selection and snowball selection. Conclusion: We have been able to distinguish three needs among female and male trainees; affiliation needs, power needs and achievement needs. We have been able to see that these needs have had a clear impact on the types of factors that have motivated and influenced the trainees' decision to stay. Achievement needs have had an impact on the trainees' most motivating and influential factors, which are Education and development opportunities, Working abroad and Challenging (stimulating)/ interesting work. We have found a relationship between gender, motivation and influence as there have been more male trainees who have been motivated and influenced than female trainees. Both female and male trainees have been motivated most by intrinsic motivational factors.

Trainee and beginning teacher attitude and value conflict in the socialisation process

Morey, Bruce E, n/a January 1977 (has links)
The study is concerned with the process of socialisation of teachers in the teaching profession. Drawing on socialisation theory the study sees the process of secondary socialisation in teacher preparation as building skills and enabling personal development. It was predicted that in the transition from the training institution to the first years of teaching, the degree of job satisfaction and commitment to teaching would be related to the degree of conflict experienced and that job satisfaction and commitment would be less for beginning teachers compared with that anticipated by trainees. Conflict was seen as appropriately measured by the difference between personal professional attitudes and occupational values one the one hand and the professional attitudes and occupational values perceived to be held by senior teachers on the other. Seventy-three final year trainee teachers at the Canberra College of Advanced Education and 47 beginning teachers in their first two years of teaching in Canberra primary and secondary schools, were selected as the sample. Previously validated instruments were used in a questionnaire. The findings clearly showed the existence of conflict between personal professional attitudes and occupational values and the perceived professional attitudes and occupational values of senior teachers. The difference in conflict between trainees and beginning teachers was small and tended to decrease. However, there was a marked increase in variance of conflict scores for women conpared to men. For women also, conflict was highly related to job satisfaction. Thc findings suggested that men tend to be more homogeneous in their adaptation to teaching and are more inclined to be satisfied and committed despite holding professional attitudes and occupational values which conflict with those of senior teachers. The study discusses some of the imlications of the findings for the training institution and the importance, particularly for women teachers, of coping with conflict in the teaching situation.

Management trainee - möten med förhinder

Porsfelt, Dan January 2001 (has links)
Abstract Porsfelt, Dan (2001) Management trainee – Möten med förhinder. Written in Swedish with an English summary. ISSN: 1402 – 1544, ISRN: LTU - DT - - 01/24 - - SE, Institutionen för Arbetsveten-skap, Luleå Tekniska Universitet 2001:24. This doctoral thesis in Human Work Science is a study of the participants in a management trainee program, carried out in a large Swedish company in 1997-1998. The aim of the thesis is to formulate theory around the complexity of a secondary socialisation process where organ-isational culture is externalised and internalised and individual self-identities of leaders-to-be in organisations are developed. The thesis is based on an ethnographic description of the entry of six newly graduated economists into an organisation, called ‘Distro’, and their encounters with existing organisational cultures. The data material has mainly been gathered through par-ticipant observation in the everyday life in the organisation, but also in events outside the or-ganisational frame. An official pan-organisational culture with its related stories, cultures of the shop-floor and a managerial culture in the regional organisation are described, as well as the development of the self-identities of the management trainees in relation to these cultures. The partiality of the internalisation of the different organisational cultures and the conscious acting in contrast to aspects of the internalised managerial culture is emphasised and the great complexity of the transition- and socialisation processes in the specific case is pointed at. This complexity is most likely to exist also in similar cases. The complexity is understood as a room of differences or room of relations. A number of circumstances, demands, structures, possi-bilities, values and practices in relation to one another constructs a sort of zone for reflection and as a consequence also development, movement and action. This zone is labelled interspace. Interspace is thus, a theme that, in different forms, can be found in the previous descriptive chapters of the thesis. The interspace simultaneously makes learning and development of both individual and, in the end, the organisation, possible as it may hinder the individual objective career or that of a group. It is, as a consequence, important for individual or groups finding themselves in the interspace to try to manage the impression that the interspace does not exist. Management trainee programs as a social phenomenon is, finally, seen as an aspect of a pro-fessionalisation process on the work place level, and as a modern institution colliding with post-modern values in the elite groups normally recruited to such programs. Paixão empreendedora: neoliberalismo, capital humano e processos seletivos de trainees

The US neoliberal governmentality, with its claim to transmute the individuals into enterprises and human relations in competitive type of relations, makes individuals as “human capital”. Originally, the term “human capital” refers to a theory that developed under the influence of neo-classical economic paradigm and leadership of Theodore Schultz. The assimilating and transferring of economic principles to a reality previously free of meanings of this nature, giving rise to a speech that associates human to capital, where it should be managed as a company. Thus, the company is promoted to a subjectivity model, each individual is a capital to be managed and valued according to market demands. That’s why the entrepreneurial role model, speech coming from the human capital of neoliberal inspiration and classical theories proposed by Werner Sombart and Joseph A. Schumpeter, affects professionals from organizations based in capitalist countries. This fact is quite significant among young people looking to enter into the labor market, particularly in strategic positions within organizations, such as trainee. In Brazil, trainee programs are considered a search strategy of youth attraction with different profile, and a solution found by many organizations since 1970 to gain an advantage in a highly competitive economic environment. These professionals are seen as “the talent” of the organization, being trained to assume strategic positions in a short time. In order to clarify how the entrepreneurial role model is present in the selection process of a trainee, an analysis of the texts that describe the skills required in the selection of these young people was carried out from the Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) of Fairclough (2001, 2003), from the analytical categories “mode” and “evaluation”, and reflections about neoliberal ideology. As a conclusion, the entrepreneurial role model that is present in selection processes trainee is marked by the expression of a passionate behavior, which, in the management field, it is understood from the concept of “entrepreneurial passion”. The research is relevant to the Management field for the academic field (since there are few studies that have as research object the selection of trainees and that understood it from a critical bias using the analysis the human capital discourse), and for those inside organizations that works with the difficulties and challenges of selecting young trainee programs, since raises important questions about the impacts of these initiatives both for young people and for the organizations.

Frisén Vastesson, Leonor January 2010 (has links)
This thesis originates from an experienced lack of knowledge within the teacher trainee program. The lack consists of a close to non-existent information of the LGBT-group as a norm breaking group of students in our schools. This essay focuses in particular on the transgender group. The essay claims that this lack of knowledge within our schools leads to discrimination against students which can cause health problems. But most importantly it complicates the identity formation process of young transgender people.

Lidh, Johanna January 2018 (has links)
It can be difficult to get a paid employment in television production, even if you have an education in the field. It can also be problematic for those who hire people with the skills, experience or work ethic that are required.
