Physical activity level of students is decreasing. Students are specific population group with similar patterns of habitual physical activity influenced by study process. That formed requirement to search for a new ways to assess physical activity of the students indirectly. Offered method assesses level of physical health, measures physical fitness and evaluates body composition. The aim of the study is to evaluate indirectly measured health-enhanced physical activity of the students by physical health, physical fitness and body composition parameters. Objectives: 1) To evaluate student’s physical development and physiological parameters related to physical health. 2) To measure student’s physical fitness and analyze its changes in 2003/2004 – 2005/2006 academic years. 3) To evaluate peculiarities of body composition and its components. 4) To propose complex evaluation methodology for indirect measured physical activity and to determine student’s level of physical health, physical fitness and body composition. According G. Apanasenka scoring system student’s physical health was lower than average. Physical fitness of males tested by Eurofit tests was in the average. Female’s physical fitness results were lowest of physical activity related components. Majority of assessed students (56% of males and 67% of females) had normal body weight. The subject of master‘s work – “Self – esteem and self – confidence of the beginners during the lessons of physical education”. The aim of the work – to define self – esteem and self – confidence of the beginners during the lessons of physical education. The following tasks were raised in the work: 1. to determine theoretical presumptions of the beginners self – esteem and self – confidence during the lessons of physical education; 2. to disclose the beginners (boys and girls) self – esteem during the lessons of physical education according to sex and age; 3. to define the beginners (boys and girls) self – confidence during the lessons of physical education according to sex and age. To fulfill the task the following methods of analyses were used: 1. analyses of literature; 2. methodic of analyses (to determine the level of self – esteem) by D. Bogdanova and J. Kiseliovas; 3. methodic by M. Rozenberg (to determine self – esteem); 4. methodic by V. Stolinas (to determine self – confidence); 5. scale by J. Privalomosios pradinės karo tarnybos karių sveikatos kontrolės lokusas ir savęs vertinimas / Soldiers of compulsory military service health locus control and self - evaluation

Master’s theses are carried out at Vilnius Pedagogical University, at the faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology department of Psychological didactics. The investigation is based on K. Wallston’s 1978 methodology of Multidimensional scale of Health locus control and on A. Petrulyte 1985 self evaluation scale. The main purpose of the work is to analysis specific features of health locus control and self - evaluation of soldiers of compulsory military service. In research involvement 239 soldiers of compulsory military service and 240 students of Klaipėda University. The investigation showed that the average of soldiers of compulsory military service and students health locus control index is different. The soldiers and students is rely on HLC ( = 24,80), but there is a tendency that the PHLC ( = 22,20) is higher than CHC ( =20,26). The analysis showed that solders and students CHC negatively and statistically correlates with cognitive self – evaluation (r = -0,119 p = 0,009). Students HLC positively and statistically correlates with emotional self – evaluation (r = 0,130 p = 0,045), students CHC negatively and statistically correlates with cognitive self – evaluation (r = -0,205 p = 0,001). Soldiers of compulsory military service HLC, CHC and PHLC health locus of control did not statistically correlates with cognitive and emotional self – evaluation.

In this master‘s of psychology final work peculiarities and connections between motivation of learning, self-evaluation and success in learning of younger teenagers are discussed. The research work was carried out at Kėdainiai „Ryto“ Secondary School. 161 students took part in the research work, 95 of them the seventh and 66 - the ninth formers. Methodics used in this final work is: subjective self-evaluation scale (A.Petrulytė, 1995). and the test of motivation of teenagers‘ learning (Entwistle N.J.1979,1981,1983 ). To achieve the final goal the following aims were to be carried out: to find the arithmetical mean of motivation of learning and self-evaluation of the whole group of students; to investigate peculiarities of motivation of learning and self-evaluation between boys and girls; to compare the indices of motivation of learning and self-evaluation of the seventh and ninth formers; to define connection between studets‘ self-evaluation, motivation of learning and academical success. With the help of statistical analyses it was established that more students evaluate themselves better than do not evaluate, there is no difference between girls and boys nor the seventh and ninth formers according to self-evaluation and motivation of learning indices. Statistical reliable relation between academical success and motivation of learning and self-evaluation are found. Methods: The analysis was based on instruments developed or adapted by the World Health Organization (WHO): Treatment services review, Checklist for Service Description, Checklist on service quality, Staff attitude and Satisfaction Questionnaire, Schedules for the Assessment of Standards of Care, and Treatment Perception Questionnaire. 50 patients from Vilnius, 20 from Kaunas and 30 from Klaipeda Centers for Addictive Disorders have been questioned, as well as focus groups, comprised of program personnel, patients, external experts, and community representatives. Results: the literature review revealed the factors influencing the process of methadone maintenance treatment (MMT) program: quantity and quality of services; consultations of psychologists to both patients, their relatives and social workers, as well as medical help; adequate methadone dose (it is usually 60 – 100 mg/day); take home privileges, which improve patients motivation; control urine tests, which deter patients from drug usage. According to current research in many countries there were studies showing effectiveness of MMT programs in drug use prevention, but there is no data on effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of MMT in Lithuania. There are hard political discussions about feasibility and needs of such harm reduction and drug prevention programs also this is associated to intentions to finance such maintenance programs from the state health care budget. Aim - we aimed to analyze economic effectiveness of six month methadone maintenance treatment program in Lithuanian primary health care setting. Objectives 1. To analyze effectiveness of methadone maintenance program and quality of life changes during program implementation. 2. To account costs for methadone maintenance program in Lithuania. 3. To analyze cost – utility of methadone maintenance program and to compare results with available data from other analogical studies.

Privatus sektorius sporte Lietuvoje plečiasi: 2001 metais sporto klubų buvo apie 45 , o 2005 metais išaugo iki 100. Pastaruoju metu visuomenėje formuojamas požiūris, kad sporto klubo lankymas yra gyvenimo būtinybė, prestižo reikalas. Vieni svarbiausių sportavimo motyvų yra jaunatviškai ir patraukliai atrodyti, todėl sveikatingumo rinka Lietuvoje plečiasi. Augant sporto klubų skaičiui, daugėja ir laisvalaikiu sportuojančių žmonių skaičius. Privačių sporte klubų lankytojai dažnai yra turtingesni negu vidutines pajamas gaunantys, todėl jų reikalavimai išvaizdai yra taip pat aukštesni. Ypač savo išvaizdai reiklios laisvalaikiu sportuojančios moterys. Dažnai tenka stebėti, kad jos perdėtai domisi svorio kontrole, naudoja įvairias farmakologines priemones kūno svoriui mažinti ir dažnai būna neobjektyviai įsitikinusios, kad jų svoris yra per didelis. Toks įsitikinimas veda prie neracionalių svorio kontrolės būdų, kaip badavimas, įvairių moksliniais tyrimais nepagrįstų dietų laikymasis, besaikis mankštinimasis, depresija ar net valgymo sutrikimai. Žinoma, kad sportavimas gali padėti gerinti žmonių savo kūno vertinimą, tačiau Lietuvoje tokių tyrimų atlikta mažai. Nėra žinoma, kiek žmonių yra nepatenkinti savo kūno išvaizda ir kaip su tuo susijęs sportavimas. [toliau žr. visą tekstą] / Private sector of sport in Lithuania is expanding: in 2001 there were only 45 sport clubs and in 2005 this number has reached 100. At the moment in society is forming attitude that going to sport club is essential and part of status symbol. In association with growing number of sport clubs there are more people involving in sporting at leisure time. People attending private sport clubs usually are richer than those who get average incomes. There is also noticeable that these people give more attention to his/her appearance. Especially big attention to appearance gives women who are actively taking sports. Usually these women are wrongly evaluating their own weight (as they see themselves to heavy) and using various pharmacological conditioning to lose weight. This attitude leads these women to irrational ways of losing weight, as example: starvation, being on various unknown diets, inordinate exercising, depression and even derangement of eating habits. It is known that sporting can help to improve peoples own body evaluating; however there aren’t done enough that kind researches. Darbe atlikta teorinė galių santykių kaip socialinės pedagogikos objekto pedagoginio psichologinio vertinimo kontekste analizė Iškelta hipotezė, kad psichopedagoginio vertinimo procese vyraujantys galių santykiai yra nelygiaverčiai, kur priimant sprendimus dominuoja specialistų pozicija, o tėvai lieka tik jų vykdytojai. Tyrime, kurio tikslas- atskleisti ugdymo dalyvių (PPT, mokyklų specialistų, tėvų,) galių santykių ypatumus, psichopedagoginiame vertinimo procese bei socialinio pedagogo vaidmenį galių santykių valdyme, duomenys buvo renkami naudojantis pusiau struktūruotu kokybiniu interviu ir struktūruota kiekybine apklausa (anketa). Kokybiniai duomenys buvo apdoroti taikant aprašomosios analizės metodą, o kiekybiniai – naudojant neparametrinį Kruskal-Wallis testą bei aprašomąją statistiką (procentus) . Tyrime dalyvavo PPT specialistai, vidurinių, pagrindinių bei pradinių mokyklų specialistai, pedagogai ir tėvai iš visos Lietuvos. Empirinėje dalyje nagrinėjami galių santykiai psichopedagoginiame vertinimo procese Svarbiausios empirinio tyrimo išvados: 1. [toliau žr. visą tekstą] / The paper deals with the theoretical analysis of the power relations as an object of the social pedagogic in the context of psychopedagogical assessment. Hypothesis: power relations in the process of psychopedagogical assessment are unequal where the position of specialist is described as prevailing and parents remain passive hand of decision realization. The purpose of the paper is to reveal peculiarities of power relations in process of psychopedagogical assessment from positions of education participants (parents, school specialists and psychological pedagogical service (PPS) specialists) and also to define the role of social pedagogue as a power relation’s manager in this process. Data was collected by using semi structured qualitative interview and structured quantitative inquiry (questionnaire). Qualitative data were worked up by structured content analysis and described by using narrative research method. Quantitative data were worked up by using non-parameter Kruskal-Wallis test and descriptive statistics (percents). Šiaulių miesto aerobiologinės situacijos įvertinimas atskleidė, kad beržo, žolių ir piktžolių žiedadulkių ribinės užterštumo vertės dažnai viršijamos dėl per didelio, nenatūralaus šių augalų paplitimo. Dabartiniai teisės aktai nereglamentuoja oro kokybės, apspręstos žiedadulkių, valdymo; visuomenei nėra žinoma nei kokia aerobiologinė situacija yra, nei kaip ji turėtų būti gerinama. Todėl magistro darbe susisteminti ir išanalizuoti bendrieji oro kokybės valdymą reglamentuojantys teisės aktai. Master‘s work. Estimation of aerobiological situation in Šiauliai revealed that marginal pollution values of birch, grasses and weeds pollen are often overstepped because of their wide, non-natural distribution. Contemporary law deeds doesn‘t regulates management of pollen-induced air quality hence public is not aware about aerobiological situation nor the ways of it‘s improvement. Therefore common law deeds were analyzed and systematized in this work. In order to fill although at least gaps found in these, technical and organizational means of improvement of this unpleasant situation were proposed. Jointly, the analysis of public opinion among allergic people was implemented. Based on this and according to foreign countries experience, the most convenient manner of information spread was proposed.

Jaunesniojo paauglio psichologinė savijauta - neabejotinai aktualus klausimas šiandieną ugdant sveiką visuomenę. Svarbiausias paauglio asmenybės ir psichologinės savijautos aspektas yra sveikatos kontrolės lokusas, kuris parodo, kaip žmogus suvokia savo sveikatą bei priežastis, nuo kurių priklauso jo sveikata, ir savęs vertinimas. Šio magistro darbo tikslas - ištirti 5-12 klasių mokinių savęs vertinimo ir sveikatos kontrolės lokuso ypatumus sąryšyje su sveikata ir mokymosi sėkme. Siekiama nustatyti 5-12 klasių mokinių sveikatos kontrolės lokuso ir savęs vertinimo skalių įverčių vidurkius pagal amžių (11-18m.) ir lytį, taip pat ištirti sveikatos kontrolės lokuso ir savęs vertinimo ryšį su praleistų pamokų skaičiumi dėl ligos bei su pažangumu. Tyrime dalyvavo 240 bendrojo lavinimo mokyklos mokinių (5-12 kl, 11-18 m.). Tyrimui atlikti buvo naudojama daugiadimensinė sveikatos kontrolės lokuso skalė/MHLC - A forma (Wallston K.,1978) ir M. Rosenberg savigarbos skalė (Rosenberg M., 1965). Užduočių rezultatai buvo išreikšti 4 rodikliais: vidinė kontrolė(HLC), atsitiktinumas(CHC), kitų įtaka(PHLC), savęs vertinimas(BRSV). / Nowadays the psychological being of pupils ‘is a very topical issue in trying to raise a healthy community. One of the main factors indicating the psychological health of the individual is the health control locus and self-esteem, showing how a person conceives his health and himself, his abilities, properties, and his status among other people. A teenager‘s psychical and physical health relies strongly on this, as well as learning advance and relationship to other people. The aim of the present work has been to analyze the 5 – 12 class children self-esteem and health control locus singularity in connection with learning advance. In the research, however, the aim has been to analyze 5 – 12 class children‘s indicators of health control locus and self-esteem according to the age (11-18 years old) and sex, quest 5 – 12 class children health control locus and self-esteem in connection with absences from school due to some illness and with learning advance. There were data collected from 240 schoolchildren 5 – 12 class (11-18 years old) in Lithuanian comprehensive schools.
