The aim of the research: to prepare the motivation model of medical institutions` employees in Panevezys county. The tasks of the research: to analyze the means and modes of motivation; to identify the motives of medical institutions` employees in Panevezys county; to define the motivation modes of employees; to generalize de-motivation reasons of medical institutions` employees in Panevezys county. The research methodic: the research of employees` motivation was carried out in 2005-2006 in these public institutions: Rokiskis mental hospital, Rokiskis mental health center, Kupiskis hospital and the clinic of Birzai district municipality. There was used questionnaire. The design of questionnaire was based on the different practical research characteristics in motivation field literature. There were questioned 143 respondents. The cases of the application of statistical methods: security of the methodological quality characteristics of the research (reliability measurement of the questionnaire), measurement of the inner compatibility of the questions (Cendal concordance coefficient), measurement of the relation of the answers to the questions (modified coefficient of Cendal concordance). Results: there were identified motives of the medical institutions` employees in Panevezys county: sufficient payment (40 per cent), the usage of professional skills (25 per cent), the diversity and creativity of labor (20 per cent), possibility to build professional career (10 per cent). Profesionalių vairuotojų darbo motyvacijos, asmenybės bruožų ir rizikingo vairavimo elgesio sąsajos / Relation between the work motivation, personality traits and risky driving behaviour of professional drivers

Kasmet apie pusė milijono žmonių žūsta eismo įvykiuose visame pasaulyje. Dažniausiai į eismo įvykius patenka profesionalūs vairuotojai, nes profesionalus vairavimas sąlygoja daug didesnę riziką nei kitos profesijos. Eismo įvykiai – tai dideli ekonominiai ir socialiniai kaštai visuomenei ir darbdaviams. Tyrimo tikslas – nustatyti profesionalių vairuotojų darbo motyvacijos, asmenybės bruožų ir rizikingo vairavimo elgesio sąsajas. Tyrime dalyvavo Lietuvoje dirbantis 181 profesionalus vairuotojas (vyrai) iš įvairaus dydžio organizacijų. Tiriamiesiems anketos buvo pateikiamos tiesiogiai, darbo vietoje, ir iš karto po užpildymo surenkamos. Tiriamieji atsakė į anketoje pateiktus klausimus, siekiant įvertinti darbo motyvacijos, asmenybės bruožų ir rizikingo vairavimo elgesio sąsajas: a) darbo motyvacijai įvertinti sukurtas klausimynas, remiantis V. Vroomo lūkesčių darbo motyvacijos teorija, b) asmenybės bruožams nustatyti naudotas 44 klausimų Didžiojo penketo modelio klausimynas (John ir kt., 1991), c) rizikingam vairavimo elgesiui įvertinti naudotas 24 teiginių vairavimo elgesio klausimynas (Reason ir Parker, 1990) ir informacija apie eismo įvykius bei baudas už kelių eismo taisyklių pažeidimus. Tyrimo rezultatai atskleidė, kad profesionalūs vilkikų vairuotojai, pasižymintys labiau išreikšta ekstraversija, sutariamumu, sažiningumu ir mažiau išreikštu neurotizmu, mažiau rizikingai vairuoja. In most cases, accidents are of concern to professional drivers, as professional driving involves much greater risk than other professions. Traffic accidents mean major economic and social costs to society and employers. The aim of the study was to identify the links between the work motivation, personality traits and risky driving behaviour of professional drivers. The study covered 181 professional driver (male) employed in various size organizations in Lithuania. Trial questionnaires were distributed to the research individuals directly at their workplaces, and collected immediately after the filling. The respondents answered the questions in the questionnaire aiming to assess the relations between the work motivation, personality traits and risky driving behaviour of professional drivers: a) questionnaire for the assessment of work motivation was developed on the basis of V. Darbo objektas – Motyvacijos sveikai maitintis, valgymo elgesio ir fizinio aktyvumo sąsajos. Darbo tikslas – Išanalizuoti studentų motyvacijos sveikai maitintis, valgymo elgesio ir fizinio aktyvumo sąsajas. Darbo uždaviniai: 1. Įvertinti studentų mitybos įpročius. 2. Įvertinti ir palyginti vaikinų ir merginų motyvaciją sveikai maitintis. 3. Nustatyti studentų mitybos įpročių, motyvacijos sveikai maitintis ir fizinio aktyvumo sąsajas. Hipotezė: fiziškai pasyvesni studentai yra mažiau motyvuoti sveikai maitintis, jų valgymo elgesys mažiau sveikas negu fiziškai aktyvesnių studentų. Išvados: 1. Per savaitę ryžius ir makaronus valgo beveik pusė tyrime dalyvavusių vaikinų ir du trečdaliai merginų. Beveik pusė visų tiriamųjų į savo savaitės mitybos racioną įtraukia šokoladą ir saldainius, kiaušinius valgo du kartus per savaitę. Saldžiųjų - gaiviųjų gėrimų per savaitę nei karto neišgeria pusė tiriamųjų vaikinų ir daugiau kaip du trečdaliai merginų, o varškės sūrio nesirenka daugiau nei pusė visų tiriamųjų vaikinų ir du trečdaliai merginų. 2. Autonominės (vidinės) motyvacijos sveikai maitintis rodikliai buvo didesni, o tai reiškia, kad tiriamieji sveikai maitinasi savo noru, o ne kitų paskatinimu, nei kontroliuojamos (išorinės) motyvacijos ir amotyvacijos (kai motyvacijos sveikai maitintis visai nėra). High qualified and well motivated staff is very important for successful transport enterprises functioning – this ensures the competitive advantage to the firms. The aim of this research is to analyse the main aspects and tendencies of personnel management in Lithuanian enterprises, to identify the main problems in this field and to investigate possible ways for improvement. In the final paper of master studies it is performed theoretical analysis of the main personnel management problems in transport enterprises and analysed the results of personnel opinion survey. Special attention is paid to staff motivation and development. In the final work complex model of personnel motivation in transport enterprises is presented. There are also formulated the main principles of formation and improvement of personnel development system and analyzed the importance of retaining the staff. On the basis of performed analysis and research at the end of the final work are formulated conclusions and suggestions for improvement of current situation.

The subject of this MA thesis is “The Relation between Learning Ability and Learning Motivation in 4th – Graders”. The thesis analyses an urgent educational issue of developing learning competence in primary school, in particular learning ability and learning motivation. Learning motivation is perceived here as a set of inner (knowledge prestige, communication, self – expression, future) and outer (learning for personal benefits, out of compulsion or fear) stimuli. The thesis discusses the structure of the ability to learn as that to raise learning objectives, to plan the learning process and to act purposefully in order to achieve the learning objectives (the ability to relate the new learning material or experience to what is know; the ability to clarify misconceptions and correct them accordingly; the ability to select and apply appropriate strategies; the ability to use sources of information; the ability to cope with learning difficulties; the ability to cooperate). With a view to measuring the 4th – graders‘ level of learning ability and expression of learning motivation, a questionnaire and a situational method were constructed. The reliability of the answers was tested at interviews and with the help of a questionnaire in which some teachers evaluated their pupils’ ability to learn. In the training of judo sportsmen, it is topical for the coach to be aware of the psychological specialties that are important for the sportsmen in this field, and know how they are successfully realized in sporting wrestlers’ activities. Psychological characteristics of Lithuanian judo sportsmen have not been researched so far. In this paper there were researched professionally important qualities of judo wrestlers. The set aim of the research was to evaluate psychosocial specialties, cognitive processes (transfer of attention, spatial-visual thinking) and emotional resistance of judo wrestlers who belong to adult and junior groups in a complex manner, and compare the data of wrestlers, who belong or do not belong to the national team. The personality’s motivational field is analyzed in a complex with other domains, as any activities are conditioned by motives. The theme of my work is „Development of need of achievement among sport school students“. Physical education is a composing part of the universal personality education (Adaškevičienė, 1994; Kapдялис, 1990), and sport is very important means of the youth educational impact (Stakionienė, Jasiūnas, 1982; Žukowska, Žukowski, 1998; Фипин, Бабаков, Степанов и др.). It is relevant to find out what reasons influece young people to attend sport schools, how they feel there, what is their self-assurance and the values. The teenagers who are unpresuming, feel themselves unsafe, self-doubt, they lack the motivation for acting, are passive and oriented to the failures in advance. Only positive work evaluation and ultimate devotion for it can guarantee good results.Our survey purpose was to define sport schools students’ motivation, values and self-confidence connection with learning achievements. Survey planning. This survey was done in March-December, 2005. 101 Rokiškis sport school, 80 Kupiškis sport school, 120 Kaunas Chomičius’ sport school and 114 Sabonis’ basketball school basketball players took part in it. 415 teenagers who do sport in the sport schools were questioned. Baigiamajame magistro darbe nagrinėjama personalo motyvavimo statyboje problema. Analizuojama įmones vertybių sistema, jos formavimas, įtaka organizacijos narių elgesiui bei veiklos sėkmei. Nagrinėjama darbuotojų motyvacijos svarba, jos tobulinimo aspektai, žmogaus poreikių prioritetai. Daug dėmesio skiriama veiksniams, kurie daro įtaka motyvacijai: darbo organizavimas, skatinimo budai, vadovavimo stilius. Apžvelgiama Lietuvos ir užsienio autorių patirtis įmones vertybių sistemos bei darbuotojų motyvavimo klausimais. Examination follows company’s value system, its formulation, and influence over members’ behavior as well as overall company’s success. The matter under investigation concerns the importance of motivation, its development aspects, and human demands priorities. The consideration is shown for those factors having a great influence over motivation, such as work organization, inducement methods, and management style. The thesis covers experience of Lithuanian and foreign countries regarding the company’s value system and employees’ motivation. The theoretical part is followed by integrated personnel motivation model that is created in consideration of the current Lithuania situation in construction works. The work also describes the influence of motivational system over the participants in construction works. The literature list, conclusions, and suggestions are proposed as well. Thesis structure consists of 6 sections: Introduction; theoretical part that discusses the conception of employees’ motivation and main theories regarding the content and process theories of motivation; review of foreign literature and research; suggestions that could be applied in Lithuania; conclusions and reference list. Darbas yra apie personalo motyvaciją ir motyvavimą, o tiksliau apie personalo motyvavimo priemones. Motyvacija yra vidinė jėga/būsena, kuri sąlygoja individo elgseną. Siekiant, kad darbuotojas dirbtu gerai darbdavys turi pasirinkti tinkamiausias motyvavimo priemonės iš visos jų gausos. Visos šios motyvavimo priemonės yra skirstomos į dvi dideles grupes: materialinė motyvacija ir nematerialinė. Žinomiausia materialinės motyvacijos forma yra darbo užmokestis. Ši priemonė efektyvi, bet turi trumpalaikį veikimą. Todėl rekomenduojama naudoti daugiau nematerialinių motyvavimo priemonių tokių kaip darbovietės prestižas, draugiškas kolektyvas, darbdavio pagarba ir kitus. Motyvavimo priemonių visumą turi būti sudaryta atsižvelgiant į įmonės veiklos sritį ir darbuotojo poreikius. Motyvavimo procesas tai bendradarbiavimas tarp darbdavio ir darbuotojo. Tyrimo tikslas ištirti personalo motyvacijos ir motyvavimo problematika, remiantis teorinėmis paradigmomis. Išsiaiškinti motyvavimo sistemos poveikį bendram darbo našumui. Anketa buvo anoniminė ir platinama elektroniniu paštu. / This article contains information about employee motivation, more exactly, about means of employee motivation. Motivation is an inner force that drives employee behaviour. In order to make employee work good, employer have to choose right means of motivation from big variety. All these means can be classified into two big groups: material and psychological. The most known material mean is salary. This mean is effective, but have a short-lasting effect. For this reason it is recommended to use more psychological means such as possibilities of career, prestige of an enterprise, good communication, attention and respect of employee. The selection of means should be made according to situation of enterprise, work specific and needs of employee. Motivation process has to be a partnership between employee and employer. The aim of investigation was to analyse motivation at work, to discover the influence of current motivation systems to overall work performance. The majority of the employees mostly women were chosen from AB „SEB bank“ operations department (100 persons), and investigated by these methods: a questionnaire and an interview. The questionnaire was anonymous and was sent by email.
