(self-control) is of exceptional importance throughout the Platonic philosophy, at different stages in the production-written dialogue of the Athenian philosopher. It suggests that Plato shows a real philosophical intentionality, not only with the formation of self-control to those who intend "to go" policy, but also extending this training to the interior individuality of each participant in the political community; likewise, it was proposed that the other domain ultimately present as a corollary of knowledge and self care, taking them to these as essentially members of Platonism concepts. It concludes that self-control is a power higher college ????, and so it is a virtue and a purification of themselves capable of being trained / configured on each psychic individuality, constituting as well as spiritual exercise par excellence. The purpose of this practice himself never appears as pure theoretical training, but is also always an activity, a continuous movement that prepared the ethical, political and existential conduct humanly possible.

No. of bitstreams: 1 Andrea Maria Andre Gomes.pdf: 1093534 bytes, checksum: b089cef12b68df384d0aec41d274408e (MD5) Previous issue date: 2003-03-14 / Lettuce (Lactuca sativa L.) is one of the most consumed vegetables in the world. In spite of the importance of this crop in Pernambuco Brazil, there are no studies on the use of plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria for production of organic transplants, as well as a diagrammatic scale for evaluating the severity of Cercospora leaf spot (Cercospora longissima) in epidemiological surveys. Epiphytic and endophytic bacterial strains applied through simultaneous bacterization on seedlings and plants were tested in greenhouse using cv. Verônica. In field the strains C25 (Bacillus thuringiensis subvar. kenyae) and C116 (Bacillus pumilus) were tested separately and in mixture using cvs. Verdinha and Verônica. Seedlings treated with C116 showed significant increase in relation to controls for root fresh weight, shoot fresh weight and total fresh weight as well as those treated with C25 for root fresh weight and total fresh weight. The strain C25 also significantly increased the level of foliar N. Aiming tostandardize methods to quantify the severity of Cercospora leaf spot of lettuce, a diagrammatic scale was developed with 1, 3, 6, 11, 20, 34, 51 and 68% diseased leaf areas. The diagrammatic scale was validated by 10 raters using 50 leaves with different levels of severity, previously measured by the software AutoCAD® R14 for Windows. There were performed two evaluations with a 7-day interval in which different sequences of the same leaves were visually estimated by the same raters. The accuracy and precision of each rater was determined through simple linear regression between actual and estimated severity. The scale proportioned good levels of accuracy and precision, and despite severity tended to be underestimated, the absolute errors were around 10%. Generally the raters showed good repeatability of estimative. Surveys ofCercospora leaf spot severity were performed in commercial plantations, including conventional and organic systems, in Mata and Agreste of Pernambuco, in two planting seasons. Disease prevalence in conventional systems ranged from 92 to 100% and in organic systems from 88 to 100%. In conventional plantings the severity significantly varied from 0.84 to 16.86 in January-April and 0.00 to 2.44 in June-September. In this system significant differences were observed among the counties Chã Grande (4.99) and Vitória de Santo Antão (9.14), only in January-April. Still in the conventional farming, there were no significant differences of disease severity among groups, cultivars of lettuce and number of fungicide applications within each season. In the organic system disease severity varied significantly from 0.07 to 22.53 in January-April and from 0.00 to 15.18 in June-September. In this system there were no significant differences fordisease severity averages in Bom Jardim, Chã Grande, Glória de Goitá and Gravatá, within each season. In January-April, but not in June-September, the average of Cercospora leaf spot severity significantly differed among groups and cultivars of lettuce. The group Lisa cv. Verdinha (0,68), showed significantly less severity than the groups Crespa cv. Verônica (10.61) and Americana cv. Lucy Brown (7.71). The Pearson test did not find significant correlations for severity between the studied seasons in both conventional and organic systems. The Kruskall-Wallis test did not detected significant differences for severity among the conventional and organic systems in each period. However there was significant difference for severity between the two seasons in each system.

Moving forward to Epictetus, Galen and Sextus, and back to Empedocles and Zeno from Eleia, the search for medicine in the platonic Socrates concerns altogether with that one on minimum Socrates, spread among these authors, that reveals as most significant characteristics either a fisicality that remains although the supposed abdication in favor of the concepts, and related do pratical ativities, as well as a special kind of visuality attained to discourse, that together seems to make singularly plausible that method of him. In connection to this, Epictetus and Empedocles let us know a negative skeptical conception related to natural sepsis and to peptical assimilation, exposing thus the words of the eps theme, in parallel to their respective prevalent aspects of negative skepticism, induced sepsis and noetical assimilation. This connection, seeming now surprisingly, ensures that one between the logical-discursive medium usually associated to philosophy and the experimental one equally usually associated to medicine. Plato operates on technical words from crafts doing operatory terms with properly philosophical character, enabled and activated to use in notions such as homoi?sis, analogy assimilation and others, upon a variety of themes, beyond a political-clinical attitude compromised with man-city unity in such a clinical enterprise, that debates with and encloses resources from the peste, war, and theatrological drama, worlds for whose transitions into the third century shows himself as a major catalizer through Socratic attitude. Methodical insistance on visuality provides the the following and reellaboration of Zeno arguments, of skema generalized notion, of a convenient proximity of c?tharsis to refutation and anamnesis, of empedoclitian conception of negative skepticism connected to natural sepsis that make summing to skopic distinction, as rethorical and skeptic, the positive skeptical division of unexamined humours and gases, now diagnostical.

Linear and Branched Polyethylene and Polybutylene Succinate for Packaging Applications : Cast Film Extrusion Process Modeling to Control the Heat Shrinkability / Polyéthylène et polybutylène succinate linéaire et branché pour des applications emballage : modélisation du procédé d'extrusion de film à plat pour le contrôle de la propriété de thermorétraction

Bourg, Violette 10 December 2014 (has links)
Due to environmental concerns growth including the management of the end of life of polymer wastes, the present work proposes to study the feasibility of a substitution of conventional non-biodegradable polyethylene by a biodegradable matrix of Polybutylene Succinate in order to produce heat shrinkable films with equivalent properties. This property is mostly used in the packaging industry to wrap product such as six packs bottles, cans or other food products together. This work half-financed by a packaging company based in France and by the French environment and energy management agency consisted on:- Highlight the impact of the macromolecular architectures of the polymers and their blends on the rheological behavior under shear and elongational flow,- Developing a modeling approach of the stress stored in the molten polymer during the cast film extrusion process in order to predict the shrinkage stress,- Correlate the structure of the materials with their processing conditions and the morphology(ies) of the final film in order to correlate them with the shrinkage rate. The first part of this work was dedicated to the understanding of the shrinkage mechanism and to develop an approach on polyethylenes matrices used as models and then to transpose this approach to a biodegradable matrices of Polybutylene Succinate and therefore conclude on the feasibility of the use of such a matrices for heat shrinkable films for packaging application.

Contribution à l'étude des systèmes différentiellement plats

Martin, Philippe 07 December 1992 (has links) (PDF)

Triangulating Point Sets in Orbit Spaces

Caroli, Manuel 10 December 2010 (has links) (PDF)

Palmisano, Liviana 12 December 2013 (has links) (PDF)

It begins with Leo Strauss?s suggestion that the great writers of the past made use of a peculiar technique, that he names metaphorically as ?writing between the lines,? aiming to protect their heterodox views from political persecution while expressing openly other views that conform to generally accepted opinion. It seeks to demonstrate that Strauss?s suggestion is a valid one and that writing between the lines was recognized throughout most Philosophy?s history and only recently forgotten. It also seeks to clarify Strauss?s suggestion and identify a minimal set of rules to guide the reading of that Theaetetus?s passage. In the end, it considers that reading between the lines of the said passage can point to the conclusion that the examined hypothesis is correct and suggests the so called ?Digression? (172c? 177c) as a starting point from where to begin a Straussian interpretation of the dialog as a whole.
