Operationssjuksköterskors uppfattningar av operation med vaken patient : En kvantitativ enkätstudie / The operating room nurses perceptions of surgery with awake patient : A quantitative surveyAldenlöv, Maria, Lundbäck, Rebecca January 2017 (has links)

Stockholms stads tänkeböcker : Funktionell texthistoria 1476-1626 / Stockholm Municipal Court Records : Functional Text History 1476-1626Pettersson, Theresia January 2017 (has links)
The aim of this thesis is to shed light on language variation and language change in judicial protocols from the municipal court in Stockholm during the period 1476−1626. These documents provide a unique insight into late medieval and early modern use of written vernacular. The main material consists of 700 courtroom notes from seven different periods of time, a hundred documents from each year: 1476, 1499, 1525, 1550, 1575, 1600, and 1626. The study draws theoretically on functional linguistics; more specifically, it utilizes Halliday’s systemic-functional grammar, Ulf Teleman’s (1985) theoretical model of language change, as well as dialogism. The results are presented in four analytical chapters. In the first of these, the aim is to systemize the somewhat heterogeneous material, and the corpus is divided in two different ways: one due to judicial content (‘categories of matter’), and one due to textual structure (‘discourse levels’). These systemizations also serve as a methodological foundation for the lexicogrammatical analysis in the following chapters. A main result is that multi-party cases over time develop a functional need for new communication strategies, while unilateral cases already from the beginning seem to bear a more deep-rooted textual stability. In addition, there is a significant increase of discourse level 3, representing communicative events outside the courtroom, in multi-party cases found in texts from 1600 and 1626. In the two following chapters, lexicogrammatical resources of ‘personal reference’ and ‘time and tense’ are analysed. The texts realize different patterns of anaphora, where individuation explains much of the variation: texts with high degree of individuation (criminal cases) materialize a high degree of pronouns, whereas texts regarding property issues materialize low individuation with few pronouns and many full NPs. Regarding the use of tense, the past tense is the most common tense. Still, the study shows an diachronic increase in the use of present tense. The last analytical chapter examines the use of three lexical features: judicial pronouns; word pairs; and nominalizations. The results show that judicial pronouns and word pairs typically occur in registrations matters; nominalizations occur throughout the genre. In the last chapter, the results and implications of the thesis are summated and discussed. The results point towards a pragmatic use of the written language. Although the lexicogrammatical resources are the same during the period, the usages vary. Hence, linguistic variation and change are highly motivated by an intercommunion of contextual factors such as a more solid administrative literacy, a changing litigation, and an increase of legal demands for linguistic precision and documentation. It is argued that the language variety in the genre can be understood as instantiations of different registers.

Att kommunicera rummets varierande funktion genom 3D-visualiseringar is a thesis in information design with orientation in spatial design. The assignment comes from the company Husmuttern AB who work with house concept that will lead to production of module housing. The purpose has been to study how a 3D- visualisation should be formed to communicate rooms varying functions. All this so that I will know how to visualize a classroom in a module housing. To be able to come up with a 3D-model that have this quality it was requires to study communication between two parties, properties of the image, shape and color of the room, with the help of literature, previous research and user tests. Then it was possible to come up with a model that could communicate a classroom constructed in module. Through the user tests it was shown to be preferable with a model that focuses on the basic units of the module housing but that also has some realistic decor to show some function. All this resulted in a model which includes the basic units of the module on one half and realistic décor on the other half in the same model. Thanks to literature and previous research the result for visualization was that it is common to use 3D-modells. In the modeling details and realistic views should be avoid. The focus should be on the essential or it will be too much for the viewer to take in and the message gets lost, but also that to realistic models were considered to be fully complete. All this resulted in a sketchy model with a small amount of décor to show the rooms function

It must be a bad childKuhs, Simone January 2020 (has links)
It must be a bad child I build rooms, installations, where I combine objects into scenes. This scene is an attempt to portray feelings and mental states surrounding sexual abuse. I'm building a girls' room, but it's more of a psychological place than a real room. I want to let the girl take place and show a trauma that lives in the hidden, depending on the environment not seeing, in the public space. It's about living with memories of a trauma in a traumatized body. I place two larger sculptures in the installation, a girl and a woman, who share the (mental) room. Selection of materials is an important part of my practice. In my installations there is almost always a feeling of discomfort, that things are not what they seem at first. I use the expectations that exist around different materials and what they symbolize and create uncertainty in the room by, for example, giving them new places and functions. I use film to get movement into the installation. The sculptures come to life through the film. The film contains no sound when I see the state I portray as silent.

Neonatal assessment in the delivery room – Trial to Evaluate a Specified Type of Apgar (TEST-Apgar)Rüdiger, Mario, Braun, Nicole, Aranda, Jacob, Aguar, Marta, Bergert, Renate, Bystricka, Alica, Dimitriou, Gabriel, El-Atawi, Khaled, Ifflaender, Sascha, Jung, Philipp, Matasova, Katarina, Ojinaga, Violeta, Petruskeviciene, Zita, Roll, Claudia, Schwindt, Jens, Simma, Burkhard, Staal, Nanette, Valencia, Gloria, Vasconcellos, Maria Gabriela, Veinla, Maie, Vento, Máximo, Weber, Benedikt, Wendt, Anke, Yigit, Sule, Zotter, Heinz, Küster, Helmut 23 July 2015 (has links)
Background: Since an objective description is essential to determine infant’s postnatal condition and efficacy of interventions, two scores were suggested in the past but weren’t tested yet: The Specified-Apgar uses the 5 items of the conventional Apgar score; however describes the condition regardless of gestational age (GA) or resuscitative interventions. The Expanded-Apgar measures interventions needed to achieve this condition. We hypothesized that the combination of both (Combined-Apgar) describes postnatal condition of preterm infants better than either of the scores alone.
Methods: Scores were assessed in preterm infants below 32 completed weeks of gestation. Data were prospectively collected in 20 NICU in 12 countries. Prediction of poor outcome (death, severe/moderate BPD, IVH, CPL and ROP) was used as a surrogate parameter to compare the scores. To compare predictive value the AUC for the ROC was calculated.
Results: Of 2150 eligible newborns, data on 1855 infants with a mean GA of 286/7± 23/7 weeks were analyzed. At 1 minute, the Combined-Apgar was significantly better in predicting poor outcome than the Specified- or Expanded-Apgar alone. Of infants with a very low score at 5 or 10 minutes 81% or 100% had a poor outcome, respectively. In these infants the relative risk (RR) for perinatal mortality was 24.93 (13.16-47.20) and 31.34 (15.91-61.71), respectively.
Conclusion: The Combined-Apgar allows a more appropriate description of infant’s condition under conditions of modern neonatal care. It should be used as a tool for better comparison of group of infants and postnatal interventions.

Optimalizace návrhu suchých podlah / Optimizing The Design of Dry FloorsHlavsa, Petr Unknown Date (has links)
This dissertation deals with the optimization of the dry floor design by solving the innovative floor composition supported by the development of a new floor element, doing so from the point of view of building physics – especially the heat and mass transfer in buildings – with the consideration for the benefits for acoustics. It is aimed at dry floors application to modern timber structure. In the area of heat and mass transfer in buildings, the impact of thermal stability of rooms and its increase in the use of a new floor structure is investigated with the inclusion of a proposed element improving the thermal storage capacity of the floor. All this in the context of ensuring the possible floor heating integration. In the evaluation of thermal stability in rooms, those operating conditions that are accompanied by interrupted heating, are considered to be key. After describing the current state of solving this issue, the main focus of this dissertation is its own development and design of a specific floor element and its integration into the floor composition. An important part of the dissertation consists of related numerical simulations, its own experiment, relevant measurements in the experimental object, and their evaluation.
