Arbetslaget tar mark : En studie av förändringsarbetes komplexitet

<p>Under vår tidigare studie med titel ”Utveckling eller förveckling; En interaktiv studie om en förändringsprocess på en gymnasieskola.” (Alexandersson & Carlén, 2007) uppmärksammade vi förändringsarbetes komplexitet. Tillsammans med lärarna och skolledningen togs beslutet att följa upp deras utvecklingsprocess genom denna studie av fördjupande karaktär. Studiens syfte var att förstå vad som sker i en arbetslagspraktik i samband med ett utvecklingsarbete med fokus på de kritiska aspekter som kan uppstå i en sådan process.</p><p> </p><p>Vi antog en hermeneutisk ansats och valde aktionsforskning som metod där vi använde reflexiva intervjuer som erbjuder flexibilitet vid intervjutillfällena. Analysarbetet präglades av att tolka, och reflektera över, den insamlade datan i relation till vår förförståelse som inom hermeneutiken ses som grundläggande.</p><p> </p><p>Resultatet visar på hur flera olika faktorer inverkar på, och samverkar i, förändringsarbete. Ur dessa har vi urskiljt tre kritiska aspekter i arbetslagets förändringsarbete som vi anser särskilt betydelsefulla att beakta vid förändringsarbete;</p><p><em> </em></p><ul><li>Att organisationen förhindrar det pedagogiska förhållningssättet</li><li>Att målstyrning kräver förändrat ledarskap.</li><li>Att samarbete och förändring bidrar till lärares kritiska reflektion och makt över sin egen praktik.</li></ul><p> </p><p>Vi konstaterar att en gemensam förståelse för uppdraget, genom hela skolans organisation, är nödvändig för att kunna genomföra de omstruktureringar som förnyade undervisningsformer kräver. En ytterligare förutsättning för förnyade undervisningsformer är att våga frångå det gamla till förmån för det nya.</p><p><em> </em></p><p><em> </em></p> / <p>During our previous study entitled ”Development or complication? An interactive study of a developing project in a upper secondary school.” (Alexandersson & Carlén, 2007) we noticed the complexity of developing projects. Along with the teachers and school management we decided to follow up their developing project in this study of deeper character. The purpose of the study was to understand what happens in a team work practice related to a developing project focusing on critical aspects that can appear in such a process</p><p> </p><p>Our empirical approach was hermeneutic and our method was action research. We used reflexive interviews which are open and offer flexibility during the interviews. Interpreting and reflection characterized our analysis work</p><p> </p><p>The result indicates several different aspects that effects developing project and we have identified three critical aspects which we find particularly important to take into consideration in developing project.</p><p> </p><ul><li>That the organisation prevents the pedagogical attitude.</li><li>That management by objectives requires transformed leadership.</li><li>That co-operation and developing project contributes teachers’ critical reflection and power of their domain. </li></ul><p> </p><p>We establish that a common understanding of the mission throughout the school organisation is necessary in order to implement restructuring that renew teaching format require. Another condition for renewed teaching format is to relinquish tasks to make place for new ones.</p>

Utveckling eller förveckling? : En interaktiv studie om en förändringsprocess på en gymnasieskola

<p>Intresset för studien väcktes ur gemensamma diskussioner kring lärares vardagsarbete i relation till skolans organisation och ledning. Vi fann därför ett förändringsarbete från traditionell till temabaserade undervisning på gymnasieskola intressant att studera. Studiens syfte var att undersöka och söka förståelse för hur förändringsprocessen upplevs och påverkar lärarna samt att vara en del i utvärderingen av lärarnas nybildade tematiska arbetslag.</p><p>Vi valde att använda aktionsforskning som metod med en hermeneutisk ansats som innebär tolkning och reflektion. När vi studerade tidigare forskning uppmärksammade vi att Blossing (2000) i sin studie konstaterar att bland annat skolkulturen och skolledaren har betydelse för förändringarbetets utveckling. Vi använde oss av reflexiva intervjuer eftersom de erbjuder flexibilitet vid intervjutillfällena och vi relekterade över olika aspekter som framkom. Analysarbetet innebar att vi rörde oss mellan delar och helheter i en ständigt pågående process.</p><p>Resultatet visar på flera olika aspekter som påverkar lärarna och vi valde att presentera dessa med innehållet i fokus framför individen av hänsyn till lärarnas integritet. Vi fann att personliga erfarenheter och egenskaper påverkade inställningen till förändringsarbetet och dess innehåll. Andra faktorer som synliggjordes var vikten av struktur för arbetet och möjligheter för reflektion. Planeringstidens betydelse och hur den organiseras och disponeras framkom och vi konstaterar att skolledningen har en viktigt roll i förändringsarbetet genom att leda och skapa struktur samt vara lyhörd för arbetslagets signaler.</p> / <p>Our interest for the study was an outcome from our mutual discussions about teachers every day work related to schools leadership and organisations. Therefore we found a developing project from traditional teaching to theme based team work teaching in an upper secondary school interesting for our study. The main purpose of our study was to examine and understand teachers experiances of the change from traditional teaching to theme based teaching. The purpose is also to be a part in the teachers’ team work evaluation.</p><p>The empirical approach was hermeneutic and the chosen method was action research. As method to collect the empirical material we used reflective interviews that gave us the opportunity to be flexible during the interviews. During the process we reflected over different parts that appeared and how they interact as a totality. When we looked for former research we found that Blossing (2000) establishes that school culture and head of schools are of great importance for the outcome of developing work.</p><p>From the result we can understand that there are several different factors that affect the teachers in a developing work. Their individual personalities and experiences affect their attitude towards the process of change and the containment of the same. The teachers need time for reflection and they find that they have not got enough time for planning the teaching in the theme based team work. Our conclusion is that the head of school has an important role in leading, creating structure and being attentive to the teachers needs.</p>

Tarpdisciplininio komandinio darbo modelis institucijoje, teikiančioje psichikos sveikatos paslaugas / Multidisciplinary team work method, providing mental health services

The work concerns the peculiarity of multidisciplinary team work, providing community mental health services. Theory defines the main principles of arranging the services, overview the tendency of reforms in field of psychiatry in Lithuania, propose brief development review, overlook legislation, highlighting various professional work components in the care system. The main purpose of research is to make an evaluation of Karoliniskiu mental health center’s staff and team work peculiarities parasitizing multidisciplinary team work method. Research was made using qualitative analysis, which identifies muldisciplinary team work, measures links between various professional groups. Conclusions: it is clear, that the institution has top-down (hierarchical) interactions, uneven information sharing between professional groups: psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, social workers. Those are the main obstacles in building multidisciplinary team work in practice and equal interaction in between professionals; in case to make the treatment of patient’s problems more effective, it is necessary to enforce team work and change the information sharing system in institution – hierarchical collaboration should be changed to equal collaborating, while every professional’s competence has equal wage in general work process.

Šiame darbe buvo siekiama ištirti komandinio darbo realijas ir galimybes teikiant psichosocialines paslaugas Vaikų dienos centre. Atlikus literatūros analizę, išaiškėjo, kad vienas iš socialinės pagalbos projektų yra vaikų dienos centrai, tačiau didėjant tėvų užimtumui, atsirandant emocinio šeimos šaltumo problemoms, vaiko psichosocialinė padėtis blogėja. Taigi įprastų vaikų dienos centrų ir jų teikiamos pagalbos neužtenka. Todėl atsiranda poreikis psichosocialinės pagalbos specialistų komandai atsirasti. Išanalizavus komandos funkcijas, tenkinant psichosocialinius klientų poreikius paaiškėjo, kad kiekviena komanda yra sistema kuri remiasi tam tikru kontekstu, aplinka, kliento problemos specifiškumu. Pateiktos alternatyvos įprastiems pagalbos būdams vaikų dienos centruose - tai meno terapijos metodai taikomi kaip kompleksinės pagalbos priemonė vaikų psichosocialinėje reabilitacijoje. Atskleidus šių metodų taikymo galimybes komandos darbo kontekste, tyrimo metu, nustatyta, kad realiai taikant šiuos metodus jie padeda išreikšti neigiamus jausmus priimtinu būdu, padeda neverbaliai užmegzti kontaktų su kitais grupės nariais, leidžia suvokti bei išreikšti vidinius konfliktus. Ištyrus komandos darbo rezultatą nustatyta, kad visi darbo metodai yra tinkami ir papildo vienas kitą, tačiau meno terapijos metodai yra nauja perspektyva vaiko pagalbos procese! Todėl tikimės, kad greitai Lietuvoje turėsime naują, Meno terapeuto, profesiją. / This research paper strives to investigate the realia and perspectives of a team work in provision of psychosocial services in the Child day care center. Carried out literature analysis showed that one of the projects of public assistance are Child day care centers, however, enormous pressure of work of parents, problems of emotional family coldness result in worsening of psychosocial state of a child. Thereby, regular Child day care centers and assistance provided in there fail to solve the problem. And here, psychosocial assistance of a team of specialists is required. The analysis of team functions, employed in satisfaction of psychosocial needs of the clients, brought to the light the fact that each team is a system which grounds itself on a certain context, environment, and specificity of a problem of a client. Alternatives provided for regular assistance methods in Child day care centers are Art therapy methods, applied as complex assistance measure in psychosocial rehabilitation of children. Having revealed the perspectives of application of these methods in a context of team work, the research established that when applied in practice these methods help to express negative emotions so that we accept those, help to make non-verbal contact with other members of the group, allow to perceive and express the inner conflicts. Kauno regiono greitosios medicinos pagalbos tarnybų darbo vietos saugos kultūros vertinimas / Evaluation of emergency medical services workplace safety culture in Kaunas region

Saugos kultūra – pacientų saugos elementas nukreiptas sumažinti žalą pacientui, kuri gali būti padaryta teikiant jam sveikatos priežiūros paslaugas. Tikslas – Įvertinti Kauno regiono greitosios medicinos pagalbos tarnybų darbo vietos saugos kultūrą. Tyrimo metodas: 2012 metų kovo–gegužės mėnesiais atlikta vienmomentinė anoniminė apklausa. Tyrime dalyvavo aštuonių Kauno regiono greitosios medicinos pagalbos tarnybų darbuotojai (N=325, atsako dažnis 82,9 proc.). Tyrimui naudotas Požiūrio į saugą klausimynas (The Emergency Medical Services Safety Attitudes Questionnaire – EMS–SAQ). Nustatyta GMP Požiūrio į saugą klausimyno pakankamai aukštas vidinis nuoseklumas (α=0,822). Rezultatai: Kauno regiono greitosios medicinos pagalbos tarnybų specialistai, vertindami septynias saugos kultūros sritis, aukščiausiais teigiamais įverčiais vertino komandinio darbo (76,34 balai), pasitenkinimo darbu (76,49 balai) ir vadovų požiūrio į saugą sritis (75,98 balai). Žemiausiais balais darbuotojai vertino streso pripažinimo ir nepageidaujamų įvykių raiškos sritis, atitinkamai – 49,62 ir 37,24 balai. Komandinį darbą ir vadovų požiūrį į saugą dažniau teigiamai vertino slaugytojai, lyginant su GMP vairuotojais, o paramedikai labiau teigiamai vertino pasitenkinimą darbu, lyginant su gydytojais (p<0,05). [toliau žr. visą tekstą] / Safety culture is the element of patient safety that purposes to decrease the damage to the patient that may be done during provision of health care service. The purpose of this study was to investigate the safety culture at the workplace of emergency medical service at Kaunas region. Material and methods: Anonymous survey was conducted on March-May in 2012. The staff from eight emergency medical service institutions at Kaunas region took part in the survey (N=325 with response rate of 82.9 %). The Emergency Medical Services Safety Attitudes Questionnaire – EMS–SAQ was used after the permission by the authors was issued. The internal consistency of translated and adapted instrument was sufficiently high (Cronbach α=0,822). Results: The staff of emergency medical service of Kaunas region evaluated six dimensions of safety culture rating team work (76.34 scores), work satisfaction (76.49 scores) and perceptions of management at the highest level (75.98 scores). The lowest ratings were related to stress recognition and present of adverse events, respectively – 49.62 and 37.24 scores. Nurses scored the team work and perceptions of management more positive in comparison to drivers; paramedics have had more positive attitudes towards work satisfaction than physicians. Predicting Creativity in the Wild: Experience Sampling Method and Sociometric Modeling of Movement and Face-To-Face Interactions in Teams

abstract: With the rapid growth of mobile computing and sensor technology, it is now possible to access data from a variety of sources. A big challenge lies in linking sensor based data with social and cognitive variables in humans in real world context. This dissertation explores the relationship between creativity in teamwork, and team members' movement and face-to-face interaction strength in the wild. Using sociometric badges (wearable sensors), electronic Experience Sampling Methods (ESM), the KEYS team creativity assessment instrument, and qualitative methods, three research studies were conducted in academic and industry R&D; labs. Sociometric badges captured movement of team members and face-to-face interaction between team members. KEYS scale was implemented using ESM for self-rated creativity and expert-coded creativity assessment. Activities (movement and face-to-face interaction) and creativity of one five member and two seven member teams were tracked for twenty five days, eleven days, and fifteen days respectively. Day wise values of movement and face-to-face interaction for participants were mean split categorized as creative and non-creative using self- rated creativity measure and expert-coded creativity measure. Paired-samples t-tests [t(36) = 3.132, p < 0.005; t(23) = 6.49 , p < 0.001] confirmed that average daily movement energy during creative days (M = 1.31, SD = 0.04; M = 1.37, SD = 0.07) was significantly greater than the average daily movement of non-creative days (M = 1.29, SD = 0.03; M = 1.24, SD = 0.09). The eta squared statistic (0.21; 0.36) indicated a large effect size. A paired-samples t-test also confirmed that face-to-face interaction tie strength of team members during creative days (M = 2.69, SD = 4.01) is significantly greater [t(41) = 2.36, p < 0.01] than the average face-to-face interaction tie strength of team members for non-creative days (M = 0.9, SD = 2.1). The eta squared statistic (0.11) indicated a large effect size. The combined approach of principal component analysis (PCA) and linear discriminant analysis (LDA) conducted on movement and face-to-face interaction data predicted creativity with 87.5% and 91% accuracy respectively. Para isso, a pesquisa foi realizada no município de Araraquara, interior do estado de São Paulo, no qual esse atendimento foi previsto desde o ano de 2.002 pela implantação da Escola Interativa. Ao considerar a ausência de investimentos na formação e preparação dos docentes, bem como, da participação dos mesmos na elaboração e na implantação de medidas políticas, esta pesquisa pressupõe que as repercussões dessas medidas sobre o trabalho dos professores os mobilizem na busca de referências para reorganizar suas práticas. Assim, visando identificar e analisar os possíveis desafios e as iniciativas dos professores com essa mudança, tomou-se como referência as manifestações de um grupo constituído por três docentes que, ao estabelecer uma atuação em parceria para organizar o trabalho, vem obtendo bons resultados com os alunos. Tratando-se de uma pesquisa empírica, os procedimentos metodológicos adotados foram: análise documental de referenciais norteadores da proposta, observação semi-estruturada de atividades pedagógicas e entrevistas semi-estruturadas feitas coletivamente com o grupo de professoras. The study was carried out in Araraquara, São Paulo State, where this agegroup was attended since 2002 at the Interactive School. Taking into account the lack of investment in the formation and preparation of teachers as well as their limited action towards the elaboration and implementation of educational politics, the hypothesis of this research is that the repercussions of this legislation can mobilize them to search for approaches to reorganize their work. Thus, aiming to identify and analyze the challenges brought by this politics to the teacher work, the study was based on a group of three teachers that are working as a team and are obtaining good results with the pupils. Considering the empirical character of the research, the following methodologies were adopted: documental analysis of main references supporting the proposal, half-structured observation of pedagogical activities and half-structured interview collectively applied to a group of teachers. The evaluation of the challenges coming from the new legislation was based on Sampaio (2002), Marin and Guarnieri (2002), Ferreira (2002) and Guilherme (2002). Para isso, além dos conceitos citados, foram revisados também os conceitos de sustentabilidade e gestão ambiental de acordo com estudos atuais e os de maior relevância na literatura. A pesquisa foi realizada por meio de survey em empresa do setor de serviços no Brasil, com envio de questionário com 21 questões avaliadas por escala Likert aos funcionários que receberam treinamento ambiental presencial no período de julho de 2013 a junho de 2014. O modelo apresentado analisa se os fatores humanos e organizacionais, sendo eles, treinamento ambiental, empowerment e trabalho em equipe têm influência em relação à ecoeficiência. Os resultados indicam que: (1) dos fatores analisados, Treinamento ambiental traz maiores contribuições para a ecoeficiência organizacional; (2) Empowerment e trabalho em equipe não tiveram influência confirmada em relação à ecoeficiência no contexto analisado; (3) empresas e gestores do setor de serviços que desejam uma maneira mais eficaz de usar dos recursos para alcançar a ecoeficiência em produtos e processos devem priorizar o treinamento ambiental. / This study investigated the relationship between environmental training, teamwork, empowerment and eco-efficiency in the business services sector. For this, besides the aforementioned concepts, they were also reviewed the concepts of sustainability and environmental management according to recent studies and the most relevant literature. The survey was conducted through a survey in service sector company in Brazil, with a questionnaire sent to 21 questions evaluated by Likert scale employees who received classroom training environment in the period July 2013 to June 2014. The model analyzes if human and organizational factors, namely, environmental training, empowerment and teamwork play a role in relation to eco-efficiency. The results indicate that: (1) the factors analyzed, Environmental training brings more contributions to organizational eco-efficiency; (2) Empowerment and teamwork had no influence confirmed in relation to eco-efficiency in the context analyzed; (3) companies and managers in the services sector who want a more effective way to use resources to achieve eco-efficiency in products and processes should prioritize the environmental training.
