A pesquisa se debruÃa sobre o documentÃrio produzido no CearÃ, na Ãltima dÃcada, cuja vida do realizador està no centro da obra. Elegemos, como campo privilegiado de anÃlise, trÃs obras fÃlmicas significativas dessa produÃÃo recente: Casa da vovÃ, Cidade Desterro e SupermemÃrias. Em comum, os filmes tratam de aspectos da vida dos realizadores, porÃm, cada qual, a seu modo, à capaz de mobilizar reflexÃes singulares que problematizam o campo do documentÃrio: a diluiÃÃo dos limites entre sujeito e objeto, o diÃlogo com as artes visuais contemporÃneas, a relaÃÃo com a cidade, o carÃter ensaÃstico, instÃncias narrativas mais fluidas que se contrapÃem a um modelo sensoriomotor, influÃncias de um processo de formaÃÃo que se constitui atrelado ao campo das artes. NÃo se trata de uma amostragem da produÃÃo cearense e, sim, de obras escolhidas a partir do que podem potencializar de pensamento acerca da vida como obra, dos processos de subjetivaÃÃo, da composiÃÃo da memÃria, dos afetos / The research focuses on part of the documentary produced in CearÃ, in the last decade, whose director life is at the center of the scene. Elected as a privileged field of analysis, three significant films of this recent production: Casa da vovÃ, Cidade Desterro and SupermemÃrias. In common, the films deal with aspects of the lives of filmmakers, however, each in its own way, is able to mobilise unique reflections that problematize the documentary field: the dilution of boundaries between subject and object, the dialogue with the contemporary visual arts, the relationship with the city, the essayistic character, more fluid narrative as oppose a sensorimotor model, learning process that is tied to the arts. This is not a production sample of Ceara, but some artists chosen work that potentially stimulate a fruitful thinking about life and work, subjective processes, memory composition, affections

Esta Tese tem por objetivo analisar as práticas de compartilhamento da vida privada no espaço virtual como produtoras de sensibilidades reconfiguradas nas relações de afeto entre sujeitos jovens contemporâneos. Utilizando a netnografia como escolha metodológica, analisei postagens disponibilizadas por dez jovens nas páginas de abertura dos perfis que mantinham nas redes sociais. Devido à fluidez característica do espaço virtual e, em especial, aos deslocamentos dos sujeitos nas redes sociais, o estudo iniciado no Orkut foi sendo ampliado, incluindo a observação focada nestes movimentos e em cenas cotidianas relacionadas ao tema proposto. O trabalho está organizado em quatro partes: na primeira delas, Conectando: cliques e conceitos entrelaçados, apresento motivações que me interpelaram e me conduziram à realização do estudo, desenvolvo conceitos que irão orientar a pesquisa, apresento o espaço do Orkut e os sujeitos envolvidos na pesquisa; na segunda parte, Da etnografia à netnografia, descrevo as trilhas metodológicas que construí contextualizando e justificando tais escolhas; na terceira parte, denominada O Imperativo da conexão: privacidade compartilhada nas redes de relacionamento virtual, desenvolvo análises a partir de dois eixos de pesquisa – o compartilhamento da privacidade como condição para o pertencimento ao grupo de amigos e as formas de ‘consumir’ afetos e relacionar-se na modernidade líquida; na quarta e última parte, Do Orkut ao Facebook: espaços fluídos e sujeitos nômades, abordo os deslocamentos dos sujeitos nas redes sociais e suas implicações na realização deste estudo e na compreensão do tema proposto. Ao concluir a Tese, considero ter trazido importantes subsídios para o campo da educação, no que se referem à compreensão das juventudes contemporâneas, suas formas expressar sensibilidades e vivenciar vínculos de afeto. / This thesis aims to analyze the practices for sharing personal privacy in the Cyberspace as producers of redefined emotional feelings within relations of affection between contemporary youngsters. Using netnography as a methodological tool, we analyzed messages posted by ten youngsters in the opening pages of their existing blogs kept in the social networks. Due to the typical fluidity of the Cyberspace and, in particular, to the high mobility of people in social networks, the study, which had started in the Orkut, was gradually expanded, including the observation focused on this high mobility and on everyday scenes related to the proposed theme. This work is organized into four parts as follows: in the first part, “Connecting: clicks and entangled concepts”, we disclose the reasons that made us to question the issue, leading us to conduct this study, develop the concepts that guided the research and present the Orkut and the youngsters under scrutiny; in the second part, “From Ethnography to Netnography”, we describe the methodological path built by us, contextualizing and justifying our choices; in the third part, “The Connecting Imperative: privacy shared through the virtual networking spaces”, we develop our analysis in two lines of research - the sharing of personal privacy as a condition for belonging to a group of friends and how to 'consume' affection and establish relationships in the liquid modernity; the fourth and last part, “From Orkut to Facebook: fluid spaces and nomadic people”, we address the high mobility of people in social networks and its implication for developing this study and for comprehending the proposed theme. Upon completion of this thesis, we believe that we have brought an important contribution to the education field in order to comprehend contemporary youngsters and the way they express their emotional feelings as they experience relations of affection.

Ideias como “amor inteligente” ou “casamento-empresa” nos abriram os olhos para uma reestruturação das práticas discursivas da Igreja Universal do Reino de Deus (IURD): para além da esfera empresarial, o ato de “empreender” passa a ser difundido na igreja, através de um tipo peculiar de pedagogia, como modo de agir em todos os âmbitos da vida, em especial nas relações afetivas. Renato e Cristiane Cardoso, os “professores do amor”, ensinam, através do próprio exemplo e de lições didáticas – características “herdadas” da IURD, instituição a qual são vinculados – como alcançarmos a felicidade na relação a dois e como ela pode nos tornar produtivos em outros âmbitos, como educação e trabalho, principalmente. Partimos da hipótese que a religião tem sido cada vez mais afetada pela cultura empreendedora, de modo tal que até mesmo os afetos passam a ser compreendidos sob a ótica da racionalidade. Nossa proposta central é discutir a relação entre empreendedorismo e religião no contexto moderno por meio de uma análise sociodiscursiva e de trajetória de vida das narrativas do casal Cardoso e de seus seguidores, todas difundidas nos programas da Escola do Amor, nas reuniões da Terapia do Amor, na igreja, e nos livros do casal. O que nos parece mais latente, ao concluir essa pesquisa, é a concepção de vida como projeto de autorrealização, no qual o indivíduo, em sua condição autorreflexiva, orienta suas ações a partir de modelos ideais de felicidade perpetuados por agentes sociais e religiosos. / Relation between religion and entrepreneurship is the main discussion that guides this work, especially when we see arises a marketing discourse about affections related to the corporative world. Conceptions such as “clever love” or “marriage enterprise” drew attention to a restructuring process regarding the Universal Church of the Kingdom of God (UCKG): beyond the business strategy, the conception of entrepreneurship is spread among the Church trough a peculiar kind of pedagogy, a type that became a modus operandi in all levels of someone´s life, specially the emotional one. Renato and Cristiane Cardoso, the “teacher of love”, teach, using themselves as examples and and didactic lections – features inherent from UGCD, institution to what there are joined – how we can reach happiness in our marriage and how this can make us more productive, mainly in the fields of education and work.Our start point is that religion has been being overly influenced by entrepreneurship culture in such way that even affects are understanding under the rationality view. We aim to discuss the relation between religion and entrepreneurship in the modern context, using a sociodiscursive analyses as well as analyzing the narratives regarding Cardoso´s couple and their followers life path. All that can be found either on the School Love, a TV show, and on the Love Therapy, in the Church, and on the books that the couple publish. It seems more conclusive to us is that the conception of life as a self-realization project, in which the individuals, in their autoreflexive condition, guide their actions from ideal models of life that come from social and religious agents.

This research was conducted in a state school in the city of Nossa Senhora do Socorro (Sergipe - Brazil) in the period from May to December 2013, aimed at analyzing the role of affectivity in the teaching and learning of mathematics from the perceptions of teachers and students the 6th and 9th years of elementary school. We tried to understand and describe what role is assigned to affectivity in aspects of learning mathematics by the subjects involved in the process: student and professor. The theoretical framework adopted was based on authors who consider that in man, the affective and cognitive dimensions are inseparable. Among them are Wallon, Dantas, Leite, Tassoni, Almeida, Mahoney. As for the learning of mathematics, was used the theory Gómez Chacón, Silva, Fiorentini and Nacarato. The methodology caught her on the qualitative approach, as understood Ludke and Andrew. As a methodological procedure, we used the following data collection instruments, semi-structured interview and questionnaire for teachers and focus groups with students. For teachers, the answers to the semi-structured interview and the questionnaire were analyzed and compared considering the affection of the elements expressed in the statements. From this analysis, it seized in the teaching discourse, its notion of affectivity and its effects on teaching and learning. The results of the study show how the facts of the classroom, especially the actions of teachers in teaching situations, affect student learning and its relation to the object of study (Mathematics). The data show that teachers do not recognize the role of affectivity in the teaching and learning of mathematics. Students are closer to the object of study (Mathematics) when the teacher shows more affective. Most students of the 6th year has a good relationship with the discipline of mathematics, but the 9th year they were dissatisfied with discipline. For students in 9th grade taste for mathematics is decreasing according to the subject teacher. For them, the most affective teacher contributes to better learning of the subject matter. / Esta pesquisa foi realizada numa escola estadual do município de Nossa Senhora do Socorro (Sergipe Brasil) no período de maio a dezembro de 2013, objetivando analisar o papel da afetividade nos processos de ensino e aprendizagem da Matemática a partir das percepções dos professores e estudantes dos 6° e 9° anos do Ensino Fundamental. Buscou-se compreender e descrever qual papel é atribuído a afetividade nos aspectos relacionados à aprendizagem da Matemática pelos sujeitos envolvidos no processo: estudante e professor. O referencial teórico adotado baseou-se em autores que considerassem que, no homem, as dimensões afetiva e cognitiva são inseparáveis. Entre eles estão Wallon, Dantas, Leite, Tassoni, Almeida e Mahoney. Quanto à aprendizagem da Matemática, foi usada a teoria de Goméz Chacón, Silva, Fiorentini e Nacarato. A metodologia adotada amparou-se na abordagem qualitativa, como entende Ludke e André. Como procedimento metodológico, utilizou-se dos seguintes instrumentos de coleta de dados: entrevista semiestruturada e questionário para os professores e grupo focal com os estudantes. No caso dos professores, as respostas dadas à entrevista semi-estruturada e ao questionário foram analisadas e comparadas considerando-se os elementos da afetividade expressos nas falas. A partir dessa análise, apreenderam-se, no discurso docente, suas concepções acerca da afetividade e seus efeitos no processo de ensino e aprendizagem. Os resultados do estudo apontam de que forma os fatos da sala de aula, de maneira especial as ações dos professores nas situações de ensino, afetam a aprendizagem dos estudantes e a sua relação com o objeto de estudo (Matemática). Os dados demonstram que os professores não reconhecem o papel da afetividade no processo de ensino e aprendizagem da Matemática. Os estudantes se aproximam mais do objeto de estudo (Matemática) quando o professor se mostra mais afetivo. A maioria dos estudantes do 6º ano tem uma boa relação com a disciplina de Matemática, já os do 9º ano mostraram-se insatisfeitos com a disciplina. Para os estudantes do 9º ano, o gosto pela Matemática vai diminuindo de acordo com o professor da disciplina. Para eles, o professor mais afetivo contribui para a melhor aprendizagem do objeto de estudo.

Esta iniciativa tem sua relevância, pois, em razão da Lei 11.684/08, a disciplina de filosofia tornou-se novamente obrigatória no currículo, reinaugurando em nossas escolas de Ensino Médio um espaço e tempo efetivos para sua prática. A metodologia aqui utilizada se pautou, sobretudo, na leitura e interpretação dos escritos dos pensadores franceses Gilles Deleuze e Félix Guattari, os quais afirmam que são sempre possíveis novas invenções e planos de consistência no âmbito da filosofia. Neste sentido, a presente proposta, forjada a partir da pedagogia do conceito, desenvolvida por esses autores, pretende provocar um fora dentro da história da filosofia, pelo qual o lugar do sujeito venha a ser ocupado por outros processos de subjetivação. Assim, o que se deseja como horizonte da aprendizagem filosófica, é que sejam múltiplas as suas entradas, de modo que a força presente neste movimento não apenas faça jus à diversidade dos seus contextos e suas expressões, mas se justifique pela liberdade de pensamento. Isto se legitima pela capacidade que todos têm de se potencializar em encontros que ofereçam o que pensar no pensamento, levando a equacionar filosoficamente problemáticas e reavaliar pontos de vista, trazendo deste lugar novos começos para a filosofia. / Abstract: The objective of this thesis was to indicate other possibilities to the philosophical learning, in addition to the existing proposals, such as the interdisciplinary approach of knowledge, those that are supported by analysis, reflection and criticism of reality, those who see the assimilation of the history of philosophy as the philosophical thought itself. This initiative has its relevance, because, owing to the Law 11.684/08, the discipline of philosophy has become compulsory in the curriculum again, reopening effective space and time in our high schools, for its practice. The methodology used here was based mainly on reading and interpretation of the writings of French philosophers Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattari, who claim that it is always possible new inventions and plans of consistency in scope of philosophy. In this sense, this proposal, elaborated from the pedagogy of concept, developed by these authors, intended to cause one out into the history of philosophy, whereby the subject's place will be filled by other processes of subjectiveness. Thus, the goal as the horizon of philosophical learning is that their entries are multiple, so that this strength in this movement not only does justice to the diversity of their contexts and their expressions, but is justified by freedom of thought. A amostra foi constituída por 12 crianças que cursavam a 3a série do ensino fundamental de uma escola da rede pública do interior do estado de São Paulo, sendo seis com queixa de dificuldade de aprendizagem e seis sem queixa de dificuldade de aprendizagem, segundo a informação da professora responsável. Os participantes são de ambos os sexos com idade entre 9 anos e 1 mês a 10 anos e 10 meses. O procedimento de coleta de dados pautou-se em observações em sala de aula com a turma toda, tanto nas tarefas escolares como nas atividades lúdicas. As tarefas escolares foram aquelas dadas pela professora e para as atividades lúdicas foram oferecidos jogos de regras. A fim de coletar informações a respeito das condutas das crianças no ambiente escolar e familiar, realizou-se uma entrevista com a professora e uma entrevista com a família. Aos participantes da pesquisa foram aplicadas individualmente as provas operatórias clássicas piagetianas e o jogo Descubra o Animal. Para a análise dos dados foram criadas categorias afetivas e cognitivas a partir das observações e das entrevistas. Os aspectos afetivos da conduta foram comparados entre os dois grupos e relacionados com o índice de operatoriedade, com o desempenho em conteúdos escolares e com o desempenho cognitivo no jogo. Ao comparar os aspectos afetivos em tarefas escolares e em atividades lúdicas, os resultados demonstraram que existem diferenças entre os grupos. Nas tarefas escolares, predominaram aspectos afetivos positivos nas crianças sem queixa de dificuldade de aprendizagem, enquanto que nas crianças com queixa de dificuldade de aprendizagem, predominou a ausência de afetos positivos. Nas tarefas lúdicas, em ambos os grupos, evidenciou-se predomínio de afetos positivos. No que se refere às relações entre os aspectos afetivos e cognitivos analisados, os resultados demonstraram a existência de relações entre esses aspectos nas tarefas escolares nos dois grupos. Já nas atividades lúdicas, no grupo com queixa de dificuldade de aprendizagem, essa relação não se manteve, isso porque esse tipo de atividade parece mobilizar condutas afetivas positivas, garantindo o interesse, sem, contudo, modificar os aspectos cognitivos. Por ser um estudo empírico, essa pesquisa contribuiu para melhor compreender a relação entre afetividade e cognição em crianças com e sem queixa de dificuldade de aprendizagem assim como compreender que aspectos afetivos e cognitivos são complementares, indissociáveis e irredutíveis / Abstract: Based on the theory of psycho-genetics that shows the existence of a parallel between affective and cognitive aspects of behavior, the objective of this research is to verify the relationship between these aspects in children with and without learning disabilities. Twelve boys and girls with ages ranging from 9 years and 1 month to 10 years and 10 months were chosen to be observed. The children were attending 3rd grade in a public primary school in a suburban town in the state of Sao Paulo, Brazil. Based on the assessment by their teacher, half of the children showed gaps in learning and the other half had no learning disabilities. The test group was observed with other students in a classroom environment, performing teacher directed learning activities and playing activities such as rule games. In order to get further information about the children¿s behavior in school and in their family environment, both the teacher and family members were interviewed. Classical operational Piaget tests and the game Find the Animal were applied individually to all twelve participants engaged in the research. By analyzing the data obtained from observation and interviews some affective and cognitive categories were set. The affective aspects of the behavior were compared between the two groups and then were related to operational index, performance in school content and cognitive performance in the game. Comparing the affective aspects occurring in school work and in playful activities, it was shown that there were some differences between the groups. Children with no learning disabilities displayed more positive affective aspects concerning school work whereas the children with learning disabilities showed a lack of positive affection. It was clear that in both groups the positive affect was predominant in regard to playful activities. Regarding the relationship between analyzed affective and cognitive aspects the results showed that there was correlation between the aspects observed in the school work of both groups. However, with the group that exhibits learning disabilities, the relationship did not exist with the playful activities because these kinds of activities seem to require positive affective behavior, which guarantees interest without modifying cognitive aspects. O presente trabalho ressalta as valiosas contribuiÃÃes do romance O CortiÃo, de AluÃsio Azevedo para a compreensÃo do contexto social fluminense de final de sÃculo XIX. O CortiÃo à um painel em que se vislumbram vÃrios tipos representativos da Ãpoca. A obra narra o cotidiano, em Botafogo, dos habitantes de uma estalagem e de um sobrado a ela vizinho, sendo um rico apanhado de flagrantes das realidades afetivas experimentadas pelos personagens. As relaÃÃes familiares e suas conseqÃÃncias tematizam o assunto aqui tratado. SÃo postas em evidÃncia as diversas formas de interaÃÃo entre os personagens do romance, inclusive as que envolvem o adultÃrio e a prostituiÃÃo. AtravÃs de uma anÃlise do comportamento dos personagens, a pesquisa busca comprovar as teses do determinismo social e genÃtico defendidas pelo autor. Utilizando o mÃtodo investigativo hermenÃutico, o estudo partiu do texto literÃrio para a anÃlise do tema proposto, analisando a concretizaÃÃo verbal obtida por AluÃsio Azevedo, nesse particular, e valendo-se ainda do aporte teÃrico de textos ligados à Sociologia e à HistÃria. / This study highlights the valuable contributions of the novel O CortiÃo of AluÃsio Azevedo for understanding the social context of Rio de Janeiro at the end of the nineteenth century. O CortiÃo is a panel that comes out several representative types of the time. The book recounts the everyday, of an inn house in Botafogo. The residents of her neighbor, and a rich collection of blatant emotional realities experienced by the characters. Family relationships and their consequences guide the subject matter hereof. They are drawn to the various forms of interaction between the characters in the novel, including those involving adultery and prostitution. Through an analysis of the behavior of the characters, the research aims at the thesis of social and genetic determinism advocated by the author. Using the investigative method of interpretation, the study came from literary text to the analysis of the subject, the verbal context obtained by AluÃsio Azevedo, and the advantage of the theoretical texts related to sociology and history.

CoordenaÃÃo de AperfeiÃoamento de Pessoal de NÃvel Superior / Este trabalho analisa de que modo o corpo e o verbo interferem nas relaÃÃes de afeto na obra Lavoura arcaica de Raduan Nassar. Para tanto, observamos o contexto afetivo familiar, abordando conceitos de temas fundamentais do romance, como o erotismo, o desejo, a metalinguagem e a ambigÃidade, que perpassa o comportamento dos personagens no livro em questÃo. Mostramos ainda que o corpo representa um mote de tensÃo, desde o inÃcio da histÃria humana, e como ele està presente na obra nassariana. Assim, arrolando determinados estudos teÃricos acerca do tÃpico, cotejamo-os dentro da esfera da construÃÃo dos afetos, inclusive circunscrevendo tais eixos temÃticos em relaÃÃo à divisÃo de gÃneros sexuais. Apresentamos consideraÃÃes sobre a famÃlia e o contexto familiar, no que concerne ao imaginÃrio afetivo. Estudamos como a dimensÃo do erotismo e do corpo contamina a linguagem de AndrÃ, atravÃs de uma postura que, para nÃs, prega a liberdade contra o autoritarismo e a palavra âfalsaâ do pai. Dentre vÃrias possibilidades de leitura, estabelecemos uma aproximaÃÃo entre a conceituaÃÃo do libertino, definida por vÃrios autores, para iniciar uma anÃlise que passarà pelas proposiÃÃes entre o discurso poÃtico e o prÃprio erotismo. Destacamos tambÃm a ambigÃidade como uma das caracterÃsticas mais marcante da reafirmaÃÃo do protagonista como sujeito. A dubiedade e o ceticismo de Andrà mostram-se como palcos onde o personagem apresenta e estabelece suas estratÃgias do uso do corpo, para tratar de um discurso libertÃrio contra a exclusÃo, a alienaÃÃo, a ordem e o autoritarismo. / This study examines how the body and the verb interfere in family relationships, in the book Lavoura arcaica of writer Raduan Nassar. Thus, we observed the context affective of family, addressing issues of fundamental concepts of the novel, such as eroticism, the desire, the metalanguage and ambiguity, running the behavior of characters in the book in question. Analizes also as the body is a topic of tension, since the beginning of human history, and how it is in the nassarian work. In consequence, some theoretical studies are listed on the topic liked within the sphere of construction of affection, such also in areas like sexual division of gender. We studied how the magnitude of eroticism and the body contaminated the language of AndrÃ, through a position that, for us, to fold freedom against authoritarianism and the word "false" the father. Among various possibilities for reading, we established a rapprochement between the conceptualization of the libertine, defined by several authors, to begin an analysis that will address the proposals between the poetic and own eroticism. Also emphasizes the ambiguity as one of the most striking features of reaffirmation of the protagonist as subject. FundaÃÃo Cearense de Apoio ao Desenvolvimento Cientifico e TecnolÃgico / A categoria dor vem sendo objeto de estudo de diferentes profissionais da saÃde. No contexto hospitalar, os corpos parecem se expressar por meio da dor, que anuncia que algo nÃo està bem e altera diretamente a qualidade de vida do paciente. No caso dos pacientes oncolÃgicos, a dor se configura como um dos sintomas mais presentes e como uma das mais freqÃentes razÃes de incapacidade e sofrimento para pessoas com a doenÃa em progressÃo. O presente trabalho consiste numa investigaÃÃo sobre os aspectos sÃcio-culturais da dor, enfocando pontos como a construÃÃo social e cultural do significado da dor e a influÃncia do ambiente hospitalar nas manifestaÃÃes e expressÃes de dor pelos pacientes. Esse estudo teve como objetivo compreender a inter-relaÃÃo entre o ambiente hospitalar e o paciente oncolÃgico com dor, ao longo de seu processo de hospitalizaÃÃo, atravÃs da afetividade: sentimentos e emoÃÃes. Escolhemos o referencial teÃrico da Psicologia Ambiental de base histÃrico-cultural e psicossocial. Ao estudar a relaÃÃo paciente e ambiente hospitalar a partir da afetividade, tendo por base essa perspectiva teÃrica e metodolÃgica, buscamos superar as dicotomias homem-sociedade, objetividade-subjetividade, biolÃgico-social, sujeito-ambiente e racionalidade-afetividade. A pesquisa de campo foi realizada no Hospital do CÃncer â Instituto do CÃncer do CearÃ. Os instrumentos utilizados foram: observaÃÃo, incluindo conversas com os profissionais das enfermarias; consulta a documentos (prontuÃrios mÃdicos); e construÃÃo dos mapas afetivos com 10 pacientes, sendo oito adultos e dois adolescentes, que estavam hospitalizados e apresentavam queixas recorrentes de dor segundo o prontuÃrio mÃdico. Os dados coletados foram submetidos à anÃlise de conteÃdo e foram agrupados em quatro categorias temÃticas, a saber: dor oncolÃgica; aspectos culturais da dor; hospital; e equipe de saÃde. Por meio do processo de articulaÃÃo dos sentidos denominado mapa afetivo, formamos as seguintes imagens no ambiente hospitalar: Contraste; sofrimento; agradabilidade; e inseguranÃa. Buscamos, ao longo do trabalho, relacionar o quadro Ãlgico dos pacientes aos sentimentos e emoÃÃes dos sujeitos em relaÃÃo ao ambiente hospitalar. Os resultados apontaram como o estudo do ambiente por intermÃdio da afetividade pode favorecer a humanizaÃÃo e o tratamento dos pacientes oncolÃgicos com dor. / The category pain has been the object of study from different health professionals. In the hospital context, the pacients bodies seem to speak through the pain, announcing that something is not well and it directly modifies the pacient`s quality of life. In the case of the oncological patients, the pain figures as one of the most present symptom and as one of the most frequent reasons for disability and suffering for people with the cancer in progression. The present study is a research on the socio-cultural aspects of pain, focusing points as the social and cultural construction of the meaning of pain and the influence of hospital environment in the expressions of pain by the patients. This study aimed to comprehend the relationship between the hospital and the oncological patient with pain, over the hospitalization process, through the affection: feelings and emotions. We have chosen the theoretical referencial of Environmental Psychology with historic-cultural and psicossocial focus. When studying the relationship between patient and hospital from the affection, based on that theoretical and methodological perspective, we aimed to surpass the dichotomies men-society, objectivity-subjectivity, biological-social, environmental-subject, rationality-affection. The field research was performed at "Hospital do CÃncer â Instituto do CÃncer do CearÃ". The instruments used were: observation, including conversations with the professionals of the infirmaries; documents consultation (medical records); and construction of affective maps with 10 patients, eight adults and two teenagers, who were hospitalized and had recurrent complaints of pain in the medical records. The data collected were analyzed and were grouped into four thematic categories, named: cancer pain; cultural aspects of pain; hospital; and health care team. By the process of senses articulation called affective map, we made the following images in the hospital environment: Contrast; suffering; pleasantness, and insecurity. We have searched, throughout this work, to relate the patients pain with the feelings and emotions of the subjects in the hospital environment. The results showed how the study of the environment through the affection may promote the humanization and the treatment of oncologic patients with pain.
