[pt] O estudo procura identificar as formas pelas quais o festival de música intitulado Rock in Rio foi capaz de atravessar gerações e, no Rio de Janeiro, ao longo de mais de trinta anos (1985-2017) e com futuros eventos confirmados, se manter pertinente junto às diferentes juventudes que vivenciaram - e ainda vivenciam - suas diversas edições. Para isso se desdobra, primeiramente, em uma análise sobre os festivais contemporâneos enquanto importantes difusores da música na atualidade, além relevantes mediadores do encontro presencial e da convivência social; e, ainda, como se tornaram símbolos de valores tipicamente associados ao conceito de juventude que, no Brasil, vieram ao encontro de um cenário local que propiciou o surgimento do Rock in Rio. Na sequência, o estudo apresenta informações sobre a abrangência deste festival, junto a aportes teóricos onde dialogam os campos da comunicação, história e memória que refletem o contexto de sua realização. Por último, são apresentados os achados das duas etapas compreendidas no trabalho de campo: (a) a observação participante realizada durante a edição de setembro de 2017 do Rock in Rio; e (b) as entrevistas em profundidade com integrantes da audiência da primeira edição do festival, no ano de 1985, e com representantes da atual geração de jovens, no que concerne à faixa etária, que passaram a frequentá-lo a partir de 2011. Ambas tiveram como objetivo entender o valor simbólico do Rock in Rio para as distintas gerações que compõem a sua audiência, fator que se mostrou intrínseco à longevidade do festival. / [en] The study aims to identify the ways by which the music festival entitled Rock in Rio was able to cross generations in the city of Rio de Janeiro and make itself relevant along with the distinct youths who have lived and experienced its various editions for more than thirty years (1985-2017) with future events already confirmed. To this end, the study presents an analysis of contemporary festivals as one of the main broadcasters of music in the present time, besides being relevant mediators of the face-to-face meeting and the social coexistence; and also how they became symbols of values typically associated with the concept of youth, which have found particular circumstances in Brazil that led to the emergence of Rock in Rio. The study then presents some institutional information about this music festival, together with theoretical contributions on the fields of communication, history and memory that reflect the context of its accomplishment. Finally, the findings of the two stages included in the fieldwork are presented: (a) a research carried out during the September 2017 edition of Rock in Rio; and (b) in-depth interviews with members of the audience of this festival s first edition, in 1985, together with current young people, regarding the age group, who accompanied its most recent editions (from 2011). Both phases were aimed at understanding the symbolic value of Rock in Rio for the distinct generations that make up its audience, something that was perceived as intrinsic to the festival s longevity.

[pt] O campo de trabalho desta dissertação baseia-se em uma pesquisa etnográfica realizada entre os alunos de uma escola pública federal do Rio de Janeiro. Buscou-se privilegiar o olhar sobre as configurações de experimentação da sexualidade e das identidades de gênero e do movimento estudantil, bem como as suas relações com a tradicional instituição, professores, servidores e técnicos, e com o mundo para além dos seus muros. O eixo central desta investigação colocou-se no desafio de acompanhar e perceber as diversas formas de expressar-se, mover-se e afirmar-se através das performances de gênero, das práticas sexuais e das primeiras experimentações participativas de construção da ação política no âmbito escolar e nas suas relações com a realidade da sociedade contemporânea. Esta dissertação dedica-se a descrever antes territorialidades do que identidades, diferenças do que diversidade, singularidades do que totalidades. Ressalta-se também a percepção da ação como uma multiplicidade de outras ações entrelaçadas, atualizando o que vem a se chamar o ator-rede e operando conceitos indiscindíveis, como sociedade e indivíduo, natureza e cultura, humano e não-humano. / [en] The field of work that generated this dissertation is based on an ethnographic research conducted among students from a public school in Rio de Janeiro. It focuses on the configurations of the experimentation of the sexuality and the student movement, as well as its relations with the traditional institution, teachers, servants and technicians, and with the world beyond its walls. The central axis of this investigation was placed in the challenge to follow and understand the various ways to express themselves, to move and to assert itself through the gender performances, sexual practices and the first participatory trials construction of political action within school and in their relations with the reality of contemporary society. This dissertation is dedicated to describe before territorialities than identities, differences than diversity, singularities than totalities. We should point out the perception of the action as a multitude of other interwoven actions, updating what comes to be called the actor-network and operating concepts un-discernable, as society and the individual, nature and culture, human and non-human.

[pt] A presente dissertação tem por objetivo analisar os processos de continuidade e descontinuidade dos programas sociais voltados para o segmento social da juventude, em âmbito de política social pública. Este estudo centraliza sua análise no processo de reformulação ocorrida do Programa Agente Jovem de Desenvolvimento Social e Humano (AJDSH) para o Programa Integrado de Juventude (PROJOVEM-Adolescente). O texto apresenta reflexões sobre a compreensão de política social pública, direcionando sua discussão mais especificamente para a política social pública de assistência social, na perspectiva de direito e no contexto do neoliberalismo, com a finalidade de situar a conjuntura histórica de elaboração, implementação e execução dos programas sociais. Procura discutir o atual quadro em que se encontra a juventude em situação de vulnerabilidade social e os diferentes problemas sociais enfrentados por ela, nesse quadro de grandes desigualdades sociais, que caracteriza o país. Nos últimos anos esta questão vem sendo considerada de grande importância na agenda política nacional e na sociedade em geral. Os dados deste estudo apontam que as mudanças ocorridas parecem estar diretamente relacionadas a processos políticos. Demonstram também, que o programa Agente Jovem possui algumas características de relevância e efetividade que o levam a alguma continuidade. Destaca-se que este programa não foi simplesmente abandonado, como já ocorreu com outros programas na administração pública brasileira, conforme os exemplos discutidos nesta dissertação. Embora tenha perdido sua identidade inicial e algumas ações apontadas como importantes terem sido descontinuadas, serviu de base para o atual programa ProJovem Adolescente. Os dispositivos legais impressos recentemente, como a própria Constituição Federal de 1988, o Estatuto da Criança e do Adolescente (1990), Estatuto da Juventude (Projeto de Lei 4529/2004), a Política Nacional da Juventude (2005), além de constituírem num avanço para as políticas sociais públicas voltadas para juventude, as quais são concebidas enquanto direito, podem também contribuir, por meio da construção de espaços públicos para a continuidade das ações efetivas. / [en] This dissertation aims to analyze the processes of continuity and discontinuity of social programs for the social segment of youth in the context of public social policy. This study focuses its analysis on the reformulation process occurred in the change of the Young Agent of Social Development and Human Program to the Integrated Program of Youth. The text presents reflections on the understanding of public social policy, directing the discussion closer to the politics of public social welfare from the perspective of rights and in the background of neoliberalism, in order to situate the historical context of development, implementation and execution of social programs. Discusses the current framework in which the youth is in a situation of social vulnerability and the various social problems faced by her, in this context of great inequality that characterizes the country. In recent years this issue has been considered of great importance in the national political agenda and in society in general. Data from this study indicate that changes appear to be directly related to political processes. They also show that the Young Agent Program has some characteristics of relevance and effectiveness that leads to some continuity. It is emphasized that this program was not simply abandoned as has happened with other programs in the public brazilian administration, as the examples discussed in this dissertation. Although it lost its original identity and some actions identified as important have been discontinued, was the basis for the current program ProJovem Adolescents. The legal forms recently, as the constitution of 1988, the Statute of Children and Adolescents (1990), the Statute of Youth (Law 4529/2004), the National Youth Policy (2005), as well as being a breakthrough for the political social public policies for youth, which are designed as a right, may also contribute, through the construction of public spaces for the continuity of effective action.

[pt] Esta dissertação analisa o consumo sob a perspectiva cultural, considerando possíveis contextos sociais. Dentre os prováveis, compreende o luxo entre jovens cariocas, a partir das práticas e representações do consumo de um grupo denominado it-girls, moradoras de favelas e bairros menos privilegiados da cidade do Rio de Janeiro, aqui apresentadas como mediadoras culturais. Para tanto, realiza, inicialmente, uma pesquisa online com jovens das camadas médias cariocas para mapear a relação do jovem com o consumo e de que forma o luxo se insere neste contexto. Para o desenvolvimento da pesquisa é utilizado o recurso metodológico da revisão bibliográfica, a fim de entender o significado do consumo, e os múltiplos conceitos que os bens podem adquirir na vida dos indivíduos que os consomem, localizar no tempo o significado do luxo e do consumo de luxo, e como esse consumo tem influenciado o desenvolvimento das sociedades. O método das entrevistas em profundidade por sua vez, permite a coleta de informações, percepções e experiências das it-girls, Ana Carolina, Jessica e Annapaula, moradoras dos bairros de Benfica, Santa Cruz, no conjunto habitacional Cesarão, e Tijuca, na Favela do Salgueiro, respectivamente. Ainda, como parte do trabalho de campo, a pesquisa etnográfica utiliza a ferramenta da observação participante nas comunidades em que as jovens moram ou trabalham e no shopping de luxo Village Mall e, desta forma, permite examinar como elas articulam os capitais cultural, social e econômico. As observações interpretadas ajudam a compreender que as representações midiáticas do luxo e do consumo passam por mudanças, considerando que o jovem não é uma coisa só, mas que ele se articula com outros grupos sociais, sejam estes nas favelas, nos bairros da periferia ou na zona sul da cidade do Rio de Janeiro, bem como nas redes sociais. Desta forma, as descobertas desta dissertação reafirmam o papel mediador das it-girls, não só pela capacidade dessas jovens em transitar em grupos sociais distintos, mas de gerar novos hábitos, e de transformar a realidade social de outras tantas jovens. / [en] This Master thesis analyses consumption from a cultural perspective, based on the role of social contexts. In this sense, it aims to understand what luxury means for the youth who live in Rio de Janeiro, considering the practices and representations of consumption from a specific group entitled it-girls, who live in the favelas and suburbs of the city. In this work, these girls are presented as cultural mediators. Accordingly, this research starts with an online survey with young middle class women that served to the purpose of mapping the relations between youth and consumption, and of identifying how the idea of luxury plays a role in this relationship. In order to further develop the central argument of this work, the online survey is followed by an in-depth literature review that aims to understand the meanings of consumption, and the multiple conceptualizations that material objects can acquire in their consumers lives, as well as to localize in time the meanings of luxury and luxury consumption, and how the later has informed the development of societies over time. Furthermore, the in-depth interview method was used with the it-girls, Ana Carolina, Jessica and Annapaula, dwellers of the neighborhoods of Benfica, Santa Cruz in the Cesarão housing complex, and Tijuca, in the Favela do Salgueiro, respectively. These interviews provided data collection of information, perceptions and experiences. Finally, and still as part of fieldwork, the ethnographic gaze that orients this Master thesis was largely informed by the participant observation in the places where the it-girls live or work, as well as during a field excursion in the luxury mall Village Mall. During these experiences, it was possible to perceive how these girls articulate cultural, social and economic capitals. The interpretation of collected data allowed the understanding that representations of luxury and consumption are subjected to change, considering that the youth is not whole, but rather it is articulated in relation to other social groups, regardless of where they are geographically located, and within the social media realm. Hence, the main findings of this research reaffirm the role of the it-girls as cultural mediators, not only for their capacity to circulate between different social groups, but also for their power to generate new habits, and to transform the social realities of other young women.

[pt] A presente dissertação tem por objetivo analisar a trajetória recente das políticas públicas de esporte e lazer voltadas para a população pobre da cidade do Rio de Janeiro. Neste caso, o estudo centraliza sua análise na formulação do projeto socioesportivo Vila Olímpica Clara Nunes (VOCN) localizado em Acari, e procurará conhecer as possibilidades e os desafios para implementação dessa política na garantia dos direitos da população, sobretudo o segmento infanto-juvenil de um dos bairros mais pobres da cidade do Rio de Janeiro. O trabalho procura discutir como o esporte foi apropriado como objeto de política pública para a juventude pobre por parte do Estado. Nessa perspectiva, o esporte foi utilizado como uma estratégia para afastar os jovens da sedução do crime. Legitimando a ideologia salvacionista do esporte, enquanto portadora de um projeto político. Tais projetos foram formulados, sobretudo a partir da prática pedagógica do esporte para combater o problema da violência no Rio de Janeiro. Assim, neste trabalho, analisaremos como o esporte se tornou ferramenta de inclusão e uma estratégia de ação da Prefeitura municipal enquanto política social pública. Refletiremos, também, sobre a situação desse equipamento na divulgação da prática desportiva como direito de todos em um cenário de preparação para os jogos Olímpicos de 2016. A análise do material obtido possibilitou perceber que o equipamento se apresenta como uma real possibilidade de inserção social para os moradores de umas das áreas mais pobres da cidade, mesmo que, para isso, ainda há um longo caminho a ser percorrido. / [en] This thesis aims to analyze the recent trend of public policy sports and leisure aimed at the poor population of the city of Rio de Janeiro. In this case, the study focuses its analysis in the formulation of project social sports Olympic Village Clara Nunes (VOCN) located in Acari, and seek to know the possibilities and challenges for implementation of this policy in ensuring the people s rights, especially the children s segment, one of the poorest neighborhoods in the city of Rio de Janeiro. The paper discusses how the sport was recognized as a public policy object for poor youth from the state. From this perspective, the sport was used as a strategy to divert young people from crime seduction. Legitimizing the ideology Salvationist sport while carrying a political project. These projects were formulated mainly from the teaching of sport to combat the problem of violence in Rio de Janeiro city. So, in this work we will analyze how the sport has become inclusion tool and an action strategy of the municipal of Rio City Hall as a public social policy. Also will reflect the situation of the equipment in the promotion of sport as a right of all in a preparation stage for the Olympics in 2016. The analysis of the material made it possible to realize that the equipment is presented as a real possibility of social inclusion for residents of one of the poorest areas of the city, however, there is still a long way to go.

[pt] A juventude tem sido tema de pesquisa nas últimas décadas com diferentes abordagens e percursos, mas o estudo do jovem enquanto professor em formação é ainda deficitário de acordo com o levantamento da produção de trabalhos realizado para a elaboração da presente tese, que se insere no campo da juventude e aborda a percepção de jovens de 16 a 20 anos que vivenciam a sua condição juvenil como concluintes de Ensino Médio em uma escola de formação de professores, na modalidade Normal situada na Baixada Fluminense e constituem uma realidade imperceptível no cenário das matrículas seja do Ensino Médio no Brasil ou no estado do Rio de Janeiro. Porém são jovens, sujeitos sociais e representam uma minoria que vive sua condição juvenil num determinado contexto e sob condições sociais determinadas e determinantes. Na busca por conhecer como esses jovens percebem a sua condição juvenil, o preenchimento de um questionário socioeconômico, o relato de histórias e a realização de um grupo focal foram estratégias teórico-metodológicas adotadas, colocando a narrativa como o eixo orientador da pesquisa, que tem na linguagem a sua centralidade. A Baixada Fluminense, contexto da pesquisa, é apresentada a partir de dados censitários e de amostragens nacionais, apresentada a fim de situar o campo e os sujeitos. O conceito de condição juvenil e a abordagem dos jovens no Ensino Médio são norteados por estudos do campo da juventude, além das contribuições da pesquisa Agenda Juventude Brasil (2016). A escuta dos jovens se orientou pelo exercício de seu reconhecimento enquanto sujeito histórico e social, inserido em um contexto, produzido e produtor de cultura, que carrega diferentes modos de perceber-se na sua condição juvenil e que por seus diferentes modos de vivenciá-la dentro e fora da instituição escolar, as aproximações e afastamentos construídos a partir de sua auto percepção do ser jovem e ser jovem estudante do Ensino Médio, na modalidade Normal possibilita identificá-lo como jovem normalista. / [en] Youth has been the subject of research in recent decades with different approaches and paths, but the study of youth as a teacher in formation is still deficient according to the survey of the work production done for the preparation of this thesis, which fits into the field and it addresses the perception of young people from 16 to 20 years old, who experience their youth condition as high school students graduating in a teacher training school, a normal course located in Baixada Fluminense and they constitute an imperceptible reality in the scenario of enrollment either High School in Brazil or in the state of Rio de Janeiro. However, they are young, social people and represent a minority who live their youth condition in a certain context and under determined and determinant social conditions. In the search to know how these young people perceive their youthful condition, some theoretic-methodological strategies were adopted, such as filling out a socioeconomic questionnaire, storytelling and conducting a focus group, placing the narrative as the guiding axis of the research, which has in language its centrality. The context of the research, in Baixada Fluminense, is presented from census data and national samples, presented in order to situate the field and the subjects. The concept of youth condition and the approach of youth in high school are guided by studies of the youth field, in addition to the contributions of the research Agenda Juventude Brasil (2016). The listening of young people was guided by the exercise of their recognition as a historical and a social subject, inserted in a context, produced and producer of culture, which carries different ways of perceiving themselves in their youthful condition and their different ways of experiencing it inside and outside the school, the approximations and distances in the his sef-perception of being young and being young high school student in the Normal mode make it possible to identify him that as a young normalist.

[pt] Expressar o amor é também uma linguagem através da qual se comunica aos outros e a si mesmo sobre aquilo que se sente. Orientada pelos projetos teóricos de sociologia de Marcel Mauss e Gabriel Tarde, esta tese evidencia as linguagens da gramática do amor entre jovens mulheres de camadas médias na cidade do Rio de Janeiro, considerando tanto aspectos que são caros às culturas juvenis, quanto representações sociais que circulam na mídia. Recorrendo a Moscovici e à sua teoria das representações sociais, o discurso emocional é alcançado pela análise interpretativa de conteúdo e práticas de inspiração etnográfica para indicar, através de narrativas individuais, os sinais de estabilidade e os de possíveis rupturas nas linguagens das quais se apropriam nesse início da segunda década do século XXI. De enorme relevância são também as evidências de Gilberto Velho, Claudia Barcelos Rezende e Maria Cláudia Coelho e a micropolítica das emoções, contribuindo para revelar as linguagens apresentadas na conclusão da pesquisa, entre elas, a expressividade sentimental, a desromantização das relações e a afetividade mediada. / [en] Expressing love is also a language through which we communicate to others and ourselves that which we are feeling. Oriented by the theoretical sociology projects of Marcel Mauss and Gabriel Tarde, this thesis evinces the languages of the grammar of love among young middle class women in the city of Rio de Janeiro, considering such particular aspects to youth culture, as social representations that circulate in media. Resorting Moscovici and his theory of social representations, the emotional discourse is achieved by the interpretative analysis of content and practices of ethnographic inspiration to indicate, through individual narratives, the signs of stability and those of possible ruptures in the languages that they appropriate at the beginning of the second decade of the 21st century. The evidence of Gilberto Velho, Claudia Barcelos Rezende and Maria Cláudia Coelho and the micropolitics of emotions are also extremely relevant, contributing to reveal the languages presented at the conclusion of the research, including sentimental expressiveness, the deromanticization of relationships and mediated affectivity.

[pt] A pesquisa Juventude, Cultura Cívica e Cidadania utiliza as metodologias quantitativa e qualitativa para auscultar as percepções dos jovens sobre os temas relacionados à cultura cívica e à cidadania. Os jovens que compõem o público alvo da pesquisa são alunos da rede pública e particular de escolas localizadas em três regiões do Rio de Janeiro. A hipótese central é a de que as desigualdades sociais impactam na percepção dos jovens sobre os temas propostos pela pesquisa. Nesse trabalho, foi realizada uma comparação entre os dados obtidos pela mesma pesquisa em 2004 e os dados coletados a partir de 2019. / [en] The Youth, Civic Culture and Citizenship research uses quantitative and qualitative methodologies to listen to young people s perceptions about topics related to civic culture and citizenship. The young people who make up the target audience of the research are students from public and private High schools located in three regions of Rio de Janeiro. The central hypothesis is that social inequalities impact the perception of young people on the themes proposed by the research. In this work, a comparison was made between the data obtained by the same research in 2004 and the data collected from 2019 on.

[pt] Tendo em vista a literatura que discute os desafios enfrentados pelos jovens ao longo da sua trajetória escolar e a influência de determinadas características instituicionais no enfrentamento dessas adversidades, o presente estudo busca conhecer quais as relações que os jovens de escolas públicas e privadas estabelecem com sua escola e com o seu processo de escolarização. Para isso, construímos um questionário com itens que buscavam mensurar a mobilização dos jovens em relação à escola e para a aprendizagem, as suas percepções sobre o clima escolar e a participação discente e, por fim, as suas crenças de autoeficácia acadêmica. O instrumento foi testado e aplicado a uma amostra de 224 jovens de 9 ano do Ensino Fundamental de duas escolas públicas e três escolas privadas localizadas em São Luís (MA) e no Rio de Janeiro (RJ). Posteriormente, o instrumento foi validado a partir da construção de índices que buscaram mensurar alguns aspectos da escola na visão dos jovens. Os resultados do estudo apontam que os alunos das escolas privadas presentes em nossa amostra percebem um clima mais positivo nas suas escolas em quase todas as dimensões analisadas e possuem níveis mais altos de autoeficácia. Por outro lado, os jovens das escolas públicas se sentem mais mobilizados para irem à escola pela aprendizagem e acreditam que participam mais das decisões da escola. Por fim, discute-se até que ponto essas diferenças de percepções encontradas podem interferir na trajetória escolar e de vida dos jovens pesquisados. / [en] Considering the literature that discusses about the challenges faced by adolescents throughout their school life and the influence of some institutional characteristics facing these adversities, this study seeks to understand which relations public and private school students have with their schools and their schooling process. Therefore, we developed a questionnaire with items that could measure the mobilization of youngsters in relation to the school and for learning, such as their perceptions about school climate, student participation and, finally, their beliefs of academic self-efficacy. The questionnaire was tested and applied to a sample of 224 students of the 9th year of schooling from São Luís (MA) and Rio de Janeiro (RJ) from public and private schools. Subsequently, the instrument was validated from the development of indexes that measured some school aspects from the students point of view. The results indicate that the private school students who participated in this study perceive a more positive school climate in almost all analyzed dimensions and have higher levels of self-efficacy. On the other hand, the public school students feel more motivated to go to school due to the learning process and believe they play a more important role in the school decisions. In conclusion, it is discussed how far these differences in perception can interfere in school trajectory and in personal life of the surveyed students.

[pt] Esta pesquisa objetiva evidenciar trajetórias e processos que motivam participação e engajamento social de jovens na atualidade. Considerando recentes denúncias e anúncios das juventudes contemporâneas, este estudo se justifica diante da necessidade de compreensão e fortalecimento da participação juvenil na construção de novos caminhos para o planeta que enfrenta desgaste político, humanitário e geográfico. Tendo como objeto de estudo narrativas de jovens ativistas que se fazem presentes no projeto Ressuscita São Gonçalo, a pesquisa buscou identificar, descrever e compreender processos formativos que constituem seus engajamentos. Existiria, portanto, algo de particular na trajetória desses jovens? A dissertação aproximou os estudos sobre Juventudes, Interculturalidade, Decolonialidade e Epistemologias do Sul, especialmente, na perspectiva de pedagogia e do pedagógico defendido por Walsh (2016) ao assumir o lugar do vivido e experimentado para mapear a tessitura da emancipação social emergente em processos cotidianos. O desenvolvimento da pesquisa aliou observação de atividades lideradas pelos jovens a entrevistas sob a forma de entrevista compreensiva. Nesta abordagem as narrativas juvenis assumem centralidade em vias de visibilizar saberes e fazeres enunciados por eles. Emerge deste mapeamento plurivocal a produção de significados advindos de memórias afetivas e reinterpretações propositivas com e para a periferia. Os resultados mostram a importância das experiências sociais como fomento político para o debate democrático. Destaca-se a responsabilização pelo território somada a esperança por um novo tempo como um chamamento de força e despertar para um giro entre resistir ao descaso que subalterniza e insurgir em práticas e ações de ressignificação das realidades experimentadas. / [en] This research highlights trajectories and processes that motivate participation and social engagement of young people today. Considering recent complaints and announcements by the contemporary youth, this study is justified by the need to understand and strengthen youth participation in the construction of new paths for the planet that faces political, humanitarian and geographical distress. The research, whose objects of study are the narratives of young activists from the project Ressuscita São Gonçalo, seeks to identify, describe and understand the training processes that constitute their engagements. What was different about the trajectory of these young people? The dissertation approaches studies on Youth, Interculturality, Decoloniality and Epistemologies of the South, especially in the perspective of pedagogy defended by Walsh (2016) when taking the place of the lived and experienced to map the fabric of the emerging social emancipation in everyday life. The research combines observation of activities led by young people and comprehensive interviews so youth narratives take center stage in the process of making knowledge and actions enunciated by them visible. The production of meaning from affective memories and propositional reinterpretations with and for the periphery emerges from this plurivocal mapping. The results show the importance of social experiences as a political stimulus for the democratic debate.
