Os referenciais teóricos para sustentação dos estudos foram baseados no arcabouço das ciências sociais que tem dado suporte para reflexões e análises a respeito do fenômeno religioso católico carismático em interface com a juventude e gênero. A pesquisa de campo foi realizada na cidade de Goiânia, com jovens participantes da RCC, especificamente dos grupos de oração e da comunidade de vida. Previous issue date: 2008-02-07 / This work has as main objective to analyze the history of the Assembly of God Gospel Church in Brazil, mainly in their first fifty years, when it gained an expressive growth. Being the Assembly of God and the Christian Congregation in Brazil the most ancient and the biggest Pentecostal churches of Brazil, from them the Brazilian Pentecostal matrix were formed, being the Assembly of God the main responsible. However, the Assembly of God is not a unique nor an homogeneous church, it is multiple in different aspects like the Assembly movement from 1911 to 1946 and the Assembly institution from 1946 to 1989. The Assembly of God Madureira Ministry, at São Mateus, São Paulo, is a church that arises between 1947 and 1948, tied with the Assembly of God Gospel Church Madureira s Ministry, Brás field, São Paulo, obtaining its emancipation in 1964, becoming a church directly linked to Madureira s National Convention. Regarding to the specific objectives, this work sets out to analyze the relation between the church leader s charisma with the church growth and to set out the survival of popular magic or institutionalized miracles in the everyday life of the church. Through this analysis it was possible to conclude that the present research contributed to demonstrate that the institutionalized religion has its place and prestige but it is a place, among others, necessary to demarcate the celebration and the rite. / Este trabalho tem como objetivo geral analisar a história da Igreja Evangélica Assembléia de Deus no Brasil, principalmente nos seus primeiros 50 anos em que apresentou um crescimento muito expressivo. Por serem as Assembléias de Deus e a Congregação Cristã no Brasil as mais antigas e maiores igrejas pentecostais do Brasil, formam-se a partir delas, as matrizes pentecostais brasileiras, sendo a Assembléia de Deus a principal responsável por essa matriz. Porém, a Assembléia de Deus não é uma igreja única nem homogênea, é múltipla em diferentes aspectos, como o movimento assembleiano de 1911-1946 e a instituição assembleiana de 1946 -1989. A Assembléia de Deus Ministério de Madureira, em São Mateus, São Paulo, é uma igreja que surge entre os anos de 1947 e 1948, vinculada à Igreja Evangélica Assembléia de Deus Ministério de Madureira, Campo do Brás, São Paulo, que obteve sua emancipação em 1964, tornando-se uma igreja vinculada diretamente à Convenção Nacional de Madureira. Em relação aos objetivos específicos, este trabalho se propõe a analisar a relação entre o carisma do líder máximo, do presidente do campo e o crescimento da Igreja. Também se propõe explicitar a sobrevivência das magias populares ou milagres institucionalizados no cotidiano da Igreja. Através desta análise foi possível concluir que a presente pesquisa contribui para demonstrar que a religião institucionalizada tem seu lugar e prestígio, mas é um lugar, entre outros, necessário para demarcar a festa e o rito.

Facilitating Communication and Effective Interpersonal Relationships at Work: A Theoretical Model of Socio-Affective CompetenceBandelli, Adam C 02 May 2008 (has links)
The research reported here provides an introduction to a theoretical model of socio-affective competence. This conceptual model of social effectiveness consists of four competencies that are related to the development of effective interpersonal relationships in the workplace. These competencies include: establishing rapport, promoting acceptance of differences, developing trust and cultivating charismatic influence. The socio-affective competence model was formulated in an attempt to integrate research on social and emotional skills that have been linked to performance in organizations. The current research proposed the model and defined its competency areas, designed a socio-affective competence situational judgment test (SAC-SJT), identified the variables that were theoretically related and unrelated to the construct, and provided initial evidence in support of the criterion-related validity of the socio-affective competence framework. Results from two different studies established the foundation of the socio-affective competence nomological network and demonstrated the predictive validity of the SAC-SJT on job performance, relational behaviors, and organizational citizenship performance. The author discusses the benefits of developing interpersonal relationship skills and the relevance of these findings in organizational settings.

1900-talets sista fyra decennier innebar stora förändringar för kyrkorna i såväl globalt som lokalt perspektiv. Två rörelser inom kristenheten spelade stor roll för utvecklingen: den ekumeniska rörelsen och den karismatiska rörelsen. Mötet mellan de etablerade kyrkorna och framför allt den karismatiska förnyelserörelsen var inte enkelt. Tonläget mellan dem var tidvis högt. Under 1980- och 90-talen skadades relationer mellan både människor och organisationer vid sådana möten. Förutom personlig och kollektiv sorg har detta inneburit en dränering av resurser. Denna studies syfte är att utifrån ett ecklesiologiskt perspektiv undersöka vad som sker i mötet mellan en förnyelserörelse och kyrkorna i en lokal ekumenisk kontext, samt under vilka förutsättningar mötet leder till enhet eller splittring. De aktörer som studien intresserar sig för är (1) förnyelserörelsen med dess företrädare, (2) församlingarna med dess ämbetsbärare, samt (3) samfundsledningar och -ledare på stifts-, distrikts- och nationell nivå. I studien söks mönster i deras handlande, samt vilka konsekvenser dessa får för mötet mellan förnyelserörelsen och de etablerade kyrkorna på orten. Aktörernas förmåga att bedriva ett aktivt försoningsarbete förefaller vara en viktig faktor när det gäller sambandet mellan förnyelserörelser, splittring och enhet. Ett delsyfte är därför också att undersöka förutsättningarna för och förekomsten av försoningsprocesser, samt vilken metodik som använts. Studien görs utifrån ett lokalt ekumeniskt perspektiv på förnyelserörelsens möte med kyrkan. Explicit undersöks den ekumeniska utvecklingen i Uddevalla i mötet med främst den karismatiska förnyelserörelsen under tidsperioden 1975-2000. / During the last four decades of the 1900’s, the churches in Sweden faced major changes, both from a national and a local perspective. Two movements within Christianity played a major role in this development: the ecumenical movement and the charismatic movement. The encounters between the established churches and, in particular, the charismatic renewal movement was, however, not always friction-free. At times, they were quite belligerent. As a result, many relations between people and organisations were damaged, during the 80’s and 90’s. In addition to personal and collective grief, this implied a significant drain of resources. The aim of this study is to examine, from an ecclesiological perspective, what happens in the encounter between a renewal movement and churches in a local ecumenical context, and to highlight under what conditions these meetings lead to unity and division, respectively. The actors of interest to this study are (1) the renewal movement with its upholders, (2) the churches, with its ministers, and (3) leaders at district and national levels. The aim is to find patterns in their behaviour, as well as the consequences of these for the encounters between the renewal movement and the established churches in the area. The participants' ability to engage in active reconciliation appears to be an important factor, determining the direction of the correlation between renewal movements in relation to division and unity. A part of the aim is therefore also to examine the conditions and the occurrence of reconciliation processes, as well as the methodology used. The study is made from a local ecumenical perspective on the meeting between the renewal movement and the church. More specifically, the ecumenical development in Uddevalla, during its meeting with the charismatic renewal movement the years 1975-2000, is examined.

Le Renouveau charismatique catholique met de l’avant une rencontre personnelle avec Dieu par le croyant, qui se voit habilité à exercer des dons– parmi lesquels nous retrouvons la guérison par l’imposition des mains, la glossolalie et les révélations.
La participation continue à un groupe religieux organisé de la part d’individus devenus autonomes dans leur relation à Dieu n’a pas encore fait l’objet d’une attention académique soutenue. La présente étude d’un Centre de prière du Renouveau catholique charismatique de Montréal, à partir d’une méthodologie d’inspiration phénoménologique et expérientielle, vise à développer cette problématique, tout en s’éloignant d’une compréhension purement rhétorique (Csordas 1997, 2001) de l’expérience charismatique.
La socialisation religieuse (Fer 2005, 2007) encadrant l’entrée d’un nouveau membre au Centre met en lumière les mécanismes d’encadrement institutionnel invisibles permettant l’intégration d’une communauté de croyants tout en laissant paradoxalement l’individu vivre une expérience religieuse personnelle.
Le sujet charismatique, socialisé religieusement dans une conversion vécue dans l’unité corps-esprit, développe de nouveaux modes d’attention somatique, permettant l’expérience de différentes intersubjectivités. Il en vient à partager un monde collectif de représentations et de sensations, développant parallèlement une agentivité accrue dans son rapport avec le sacré. Toutefois, alors que l’agentivité est usuellement conçue comme un acte de résistance, celle développée par les charismatiques va dans le sens d’une reproduction de la norme (Mahmood 2001). La socialisation religieuse établissant les paramètres d’émergence de cette agentivité, elle en constitue aussi le cadre délimitant son expression. / The Catholic charimatic renewal puts forward a personal encounter wtih God on the believer’s part, who is then habilitated to exercize different charismas – among which we find healing through the imposing of the hands, glossolalia and revelations.
Continued participation in an organized religious group by now autonomous believers has not yet been the subject of sustained academic attention. The present study of a Montreal Catholic charismatic renewal’s center of prayer, whose methodology is inspired by the phenomenological and experiential approaches, aims to develop this problematic, all the while marking a distance with a purely rhetorical understanding of the charismatic experience (Csordas 1997, 2001).
The religious socialization (Fer 2005, 2007) framing the admission of a new member at the Center, enligthens the invisible institutionnal mecanisms enabling the integration of a religious community all the while paradoxically enabling the individual to live an individualized religious experience.
The charismatic subject, religiously socialized through a conversion lived in a unification of the body-mind, develops new somatic modes of attention, and is thus enabled to experience different intersubjectivities. The subject comes to participate in a collective world of representations and sensations, developing in parallel an increased agency in his dealings with the sacred. Although agency is usually conceived as an act of resistance, the one developped by the charismatics brings about the reproduction of the norm (Mahmood 2001). Religious socialization establishing the parameter of emergence for this agency, it is also the frame circonscribing its expression.

Due to the fact that the environment in which companies in 'South Africa are operating is
constantly changing, these companies are undergoing a process of transformation. Organisations
that intend competing successfully within this changing environment will have to have the right
kind of leaders in order to stay afloat and even flourish. It is expected from companies' leaders at
all levels to successfully navigate these troubled waters.
Much of leadership has to do with the way in which leaders motivate their subordinates.
Research has shown that there are succinctly different styles of leadership, and that each type of
style has a different influence on the motivation of workers.
Another factor, equally important, is the concept of locus of control. Research has also shown
that people perceive differently, that which controls their destiny. Does the leader feel that he/she
is controlled by this constantly changing environment in which he/she has to lead, or is he/she as
the leader of an organisation in control of him-herself and his/her actions, and therefore also in
control of the company itself?
The question that inevitably arises is the following: is there any relationship between the style of
leadership and the locus of control of the leader, and if so, what is the nature of this relationship?
A quantitative design (two test survey design on a large population) was used to take the
measurements on the style of leadership and the locus of control of the leaders. The Locus of
Control Inventory (LCI) of Schepers (1998) and the Multifactor Leadership Questionnaire
(MLQ), form 5R of Bass and Avolio (1995), were administered. A statistical analysis was then
carried out in order to determine the relationship that exists between the two measurements, as
well as the nature of the relationship. There were 221 respondents from organisations in South
Africa, most of whom were in a middle level of leadership.
The results showed that an internal locus of control and a disposition towards autonomy were
associated with a laissez-faire leadership style as well as a transformational leadership style. It
also showed that an external locus of control was associated with a laissez-faire leadership style.

Dans deux congrégations à Montréal, nous nous intéressons aux hybridités religieuses entre le catholicisme et le pentecôtisme. Face aux lacunes de recherche en ce qui concerne l’influence du catholicisme sur le néopentecôtisme, nous avons réalisé des comparaisons entre certaines stratégies d’une Église charismatique néopentecôtiste multiethnique et les stratégies d’une communauté charismatique catholique de Latino-Américains, afin d’expliquer comment ces hybridités et influences se manifestent dans les congrégations. Certaines comparaisons révèlent des hybridités qui se manifestent dans l’adaptation des communautés au contexte québécois et dans l’adaptation de l’Évangile et des pratiques religieuses pour intégrer les immigrants aux congrégations et à la société d’accueil. Les communautés charismatiques deviennent des épicentres de regroupements ethniques dans lesquels on peut constater des continuités, transformations et innovations culturelles. En nous fondant sur l’analyse des enjeux sociaux et politiques, nous avons constaté également l’influence du catholicisme sur le néopentecôtisme et vice versa, ainsi que des interpénétrations syncrétiques. / This thesis concerns the religious hybridities between Catholicism and Pentecostalism in two congregations in Montreal. Faced with the gaps in the research regarding the influence of Catholicism on Neopentecostalism, we have compared certain strategies of a multi-ethnic Charismatic Neopentecostal Church with the strategies of a Latin American Catholic Charismatic community, in order to explain how these hybridities manifest in the congregations. Some hybridities are found in the adaptation of these communities to the Quebec context and in the adaptation of the Gospel and the religious practices that mark the process of integration of immigrants into the congregations and the host society. The charismatic communities become epicenters of ethnic groupings in which we can observe continuities, transformations and cultural innovations. In my field work in these two groups, I have found evidence regarding the influence of Catholicism on the Neopentecostalism and vice versa, as well as syncretic interpenetrations. / L’idée de réaliser une étude comparative de deux congrégations charismatiques à Montréal a été conçue vers la fin de l’année 2009, dans le cadre du projet « Pluralisme et ressources symboliques : les nouveaux groupes religieux au Québec ». Syfte: Debatten kring revisorers oberoende har pågått länge. Idag är frågan om revisorers oberoende en av de viktigaste frågorna inom redovisning vilket delvis beror på de företagsskandaler som inträffat under senare år. Tidigare studier visar att sociala identifikationer kan utvecklas vid nära relationer vilket både kan ha en positiv och en negativ påverkan på revisorers oberoende. För att utvidga tidigare studier har vi lagt till personlig identifikation för att studera detta på individnivå. Vi har även valt att lägga till en faktor, det karismatiska ledarskapet, för att undersöka om detta påverkar samtliga identifikationer. Studien syftar till att undersöka om klientidentifikation, personlig och professionell identifikation påverkas av ett karismatiskt ledarskap och om dessa identifikationer i sin tur har en påverkan på revisorers oberoende. Metod: Vi har i studien använt oss av enkäter som metod för att samla in primärdata. Data samlades in från auktoriserade och godkända revisorer runtom i Sverige. Insamlad data har sedan bearbetats och analyserats med hjälp av statistikprogrammet SPSS statistics. Resultaten från de statistiska analyserna har sedan redovisats i olika tabeller. Resultat och slutsats: Studiens resultat visade att ett karismatiskt ledarskap har en påverkan på samtliga identifikationer, dock var denna påverkan relativt svag, vilket innebär att det är många andra faktorer som ökar identifikationerna. Vidare visade resultatet att personlig identifikation kan innebära ett större hot mot revisorers oberoende än klientidentifikation. Förslag till fortsatt forskning: För att få mer djup i studien och för att få fram respondenternas egna tankar och åsikter skulle en kvalitativt inriktad studie, med intervjuer som datainsamlingsmetod kunna genomföras. Ytterligare förslag till forskning skulle kunna vara att undersöka andra faktorer som kan tänkas påverka olika identifikationer. Uppsatsens bidrag: Uppsatsen bidrar till fortsatt forskning inom revisorers icke-finansiella beroende, genom att vi undersöker problemet ur ett socialt identitetsperspektiv. Vidare bidrar studien med kunskap om faktorer som påverkar sociala identiteter. / Aim: The debate about the auditor independence has been going on for a long time. Today is the issue of auditor independence one of the most important in accounting which depends on several corporate scandals that have occurred in recent years. Previous studies shows that close relationships explicate social identifications which can have a positive and a negative impact on auditor independence. We have added personal identification in our study at the individual level to expand previous studies. We have also added the charismatic leadership as a factor to investigate whether this affect identifications. The study aims to investigate whether the client identification, personal and professional identification is affected by a charismatic leadership and whether these identifications has an impact on auditor independence. Method: In our study we have used surveys as a method to collect primary data. Data were collected from Swedish authorized and approved auditors. The collected data where then processed and analyzed by the statistical program SPSS statistics. The results of the statistical analyzes are then presented in different tables. Result and conclusions: The results of the study showed that charismatic leadership has an impact on all identifications, however, this effect is relatively weak, which means that there are many other factors that increase these identifications. Furthermore, the result also showed that personal identification can be a greater threat to auditor independence than client identification. Suggestions for future research: To obtain the respondents' own thoughts and opinions, a qualitative focused study with interviews as a data collection method could be implemented. Further implications could be to examine other factors that may affect different identifications. Contribution of the thesis: The study contributes for further research about the auditors' non-financial dependence, in which we examine the problem from a social identity perspective. Furthermore, the study can provide knowledge of the factors that affecting social identities.
