razão e a existência humanas.

In 1844, the Danish thinker Søren Kierkegaard (1813-55) published his book Philosophical Fragments under the pseudonym Johannes Climacus. In that book, he formulated the expression Absolute Paradox, which designates what Christianity has been traditionally calling the Incarnation of the Word. In Kierkegaard’s thought, the idea of Absolute Paradox is identified with truth itself, and it presupposes an absolute distinction between time and eternity. Both the identification of Incarnate Word with truth and the absolute distinction between time and eternity were also objects of reflection for Aurelius Augustine (354-430), the Roman-Berber thinker and priest. This dissertation intends to show how the Kierkegaardian Absolute Paradox expresses a specifically Christian way of thinking that historically opposes itself to non-Christian perspectives and to ideas that diverge with Christian orthodoxy. Besides, it intends to examine how Kierkegaard’s way of reflecting about time, eternity and truth in the 19th Century echoes the way Augustine dealt with these same issues in late antiquity.

The dialectic between form and content runs through the Kierkegaardian work from
its critique of existential philosophical systems and christendom, to the task that it
assumes to arouse subjectivity in its reader before an absolute religious criterion.
Therefore, what is said is closely reflected in how it is said, and how it is said is
strictly modulated by what is meant. In this context, I argue that indirect
communication is not only a formal stylistic resource for approaching an ineffable
existential-religious content but, on the other hand, a requirement of this very
content on the formality of the work. By means of this demand, I expose the tension
and its implication to the questioning of Kierkegaard's author-ity amidst the stylistic
resources demanded, such as irony and pseudonymy, while I try to exert this tension
in the text itself. Thus, rather than indicating that such a dialectic requires a
reconsideration of the philosophical practice itself, as for the study of the
kierkegaardian authorship, I also indicate that the kierkegaardian labyrinthine style
does not admit any kind of cartography without, for that, murder ing its subjective
content.

[en] ON THE CONCEPT OF COMMUNITY IN KIERKEGAARD / [pt] SOBRE O CONCEITO DE COMUNIDADE EM KIERKEGAARDTHIAGO COSTA FARIA 15 July 2016 (has links)
[en] On the concept of community in Kierkegaard: Kierkegaard s critique of the crowd and the Church is better understood when contrasted not with the single individual, but with the community. According to the Danish philosopher, the individual finds himself in God, but it is a mistake to think that he closes himself off because of that. By taking the God-man as his model, the individual radically opens himself out to the others—in the same way that, although in a different sense, God radically opens Himself to the others by becoming man, and, consequently, demeaning Himself to reach us. The essentially Christian necessarily implies the responsibility for the neighbor, and we are only allowed to talk about community when there is such a responsible, unselfish relation to the neighbor. Therefore, the concept of community (Menighed) appears as the ideal model, different of the crowd and the Christendom, although all of them share the same basic structure. Only in the community the individual is able to fully develop his ethical-religious character, and, generally speaking, his own subjectivity.

Tycho Brahe, grande astrônomo do século XVI e cavaleiro da fé, sob a ótica Kierkegaardiana.Farhat, Gabriel Maluf 29 August 2003 (has links)
The first part of this study it has as objective present Tycho Brahe like Individual , that is, the astronomer and his life. Previous issue date: 2018-02-19 / Coordena??o de Aperfei?oamento de Pessoal de N?vel Superior - CAPES / The aim of the present work is, from the reading of S?ren Kierkegaard's Fear and Trembling (1843), to understand the irreducibility of religious experience to mere rational conceptualization. It is assumed that, for the author, such an experience falls within a scope "beyond" the limits of mere reason. However, it is not a metaphysical "beyond," but a subjective experience that can only be narrated, but not reduced to concepts, because it belongs only to the individual who experiences it. We are interested in our investigation of the case of Abraham, a character that appears in the book as a gateway to philosophical reflection, and which was also the object of investigation of Kierkegaard's earlier and contemporary "systematic authors" who dominated the religious and philosophical scene in its time. Following the trails explored by Kierkegaard in Fear and Trembling we approach the supposed limits of rationalist research on religion, which involves both theological and philosophical speculation of approach through abstractions that do not harmonize with the concrete reality of that individual who has the experience of religion. However, in the research a dogmatic approach to religion was not made to the detriment of reason, but it was observed how Kierkergaard proposes a re-signification of reason from the religious experience. In this way the method used was the philosophical one that consists in walking along the path taken by the author in order to restore the indissoluble unity inherent in his thought. The choice of such a method is justified because it is the one that best matches the research purposes of the research. Thus, we hope with this research to contribute to the discussion about religious life by highlighting the importance of not reducing it to mere categories and systems of thought that do not consider the singular relationship between the individual and the Sacred. In this perspective, the question that we seek to answer in the development of the research was: how to understand in Fear and Trembling the religious experience without subtracting it from concrete reality and what relation does this understanding hold in front of what Kierkegaard calls the "system"?

Previous issue date: 2017-01-20 / CAPES / This research aims to gather Soren Aabye Kierkegaard (1813 – 1855) phylosophy to the
portuguese poet Mário de Sá Carneiro (1890 – 1916) through a theme that is developed
in the authors’ works: the matter of myself. Kierkegaard develops this theme starting from
the conception that man is a synthesis between heterogeneous elements – the finite and
the infinite, the temporal and the eternal, the possibility and the necessity. In his literature,
Sá-Carneiro deals with this issue presenting a subject in phycho disorder, characterized
as a fragmented being, unable to balance personal desires and goals with reality. Although
they develop this problem in different way in their works, we sustain the following
hypothesis: both in Kierkegaard and in Sá-Carneiro we noticed the human being existing
problem while looking for fufillments that may eliminate the incompleteness experience
which lies inside the subject. To fight the problem of synthesis, facing despair, man must
become him himself, with faith helping him trying to eliminate the mortal illness. In
Mário de Sá Carneiro, there is a recurrence to the double, when the subject spreads trying
to reach the accomplishment of something, harmonizing imagination and reality. The
present paper aims to present how the authors develop this theme. To the development of
the problem, we take as main works the texts Fear and fright (1843) and Human despair
(1849), from the danish phylosopher and the novel Lucio’s confession (1913), from the
portuguese writer. Lately, the work moves towards an interpretation of the short story
“The man of the dreams”, from Sá-Carneiro, considering the aesthetic stage as the reading
key to the text. In this analysis stage, we seek to find similarities between the character
named Russo in Sá Carneiro’s short story, and Johannes, pseudonym and author of Diary
of a seducer (1843), which lives this existence possibility. At last, we analyse two
characters from Lucio’s confession still by the existence aesthetic stage perspective.
– o finito e o infinito, o temporal e o eterno, a possibilidade e a necessidade.
A presente
tremor (1843) e O desespero humano (1849) do filósofo dinamarquês e a narrativa A

However, with kindness, invites the Theology to take the floor and to speak side by side with
