I det här självständiga arbetet framkommer det att notläsning inte alltid ses som någonting nödvändigt av elgitarrelever på gymnasiet, men det finns vissa tillfällen de värderar det högt. I det här självständiga arbetet undersöks diskursiva uppfattningar och diskursivt innehåll i gymnasieelevers utsagor kring notläsning på elgitarr. Fokusgrupper har använts för att samla in data till analysen. Det teoretiska perspektivet i arbetets analys är diskurspsykologi, vilket används för att tolka hur bakomliggande föreställningar, normer och värderingar formar en diskurs. Att förstå någonting diskursivt innebär att ta hänsyn till att det inom olika kulturella, historiska och andra sammanhang finns olika faktorer som formar vad som anses vara det normativa. Arbetets frågeställningar är ”Hur samtalar gymnasieelever om notläsning på elgitarr?” och ”Hur kan gymnasieelevers förhållande till notläsning på elgitarr förstås diskursivt?”. Resultatet visar på två diskursiva uppfattningar kring notläsning på elgitarr: notläsning och självförverkligande samt notläsning som svårt att lära sig men nyttigt. Resultatet visar att gymnasieelever tycker det är viktigt med notläsning i olika sammanhang. De pedagogiska implikationerna är att anpassa notläsningsundervisning efter elevernas nivå samt att främja motivation och engagemang. / In this study, it is evident that sight reading is not always considered necessary by high school electric guitar students. However, there are certain occasions when they highly appreciate it. This study examines discursive perceptions and discursive content in high school students' statements about reading sheet music on the electric guitar. Focus groups have been used to collect data for the analysis. The theoretical perspective in the analysis of this work is discursive psychology, which is used to interpret how underlying assumptions, norms, and values shape a discourse. Understanding something discursively involves considering that within different cultural, historical, and other contexts, there are various factors shaping what is considered normative. The research questions are "How do high school students discuss reading sheet music on the electric guitar?" and "How can high school students' relationship to reading sheet music on the electric guitar be understood discursively?". The results indicate two discursive perceptions regarding reading sheet music on the electric guitar: sheet music and self-realization, as well as sheet music as difficult to learn but useful. The findings show that high school students find sheet music important in various contexts. The pedagogical implications are to tailor sheet music instruction to the students' level and to promote motivation and engagement.

Este trabalho tem como objeto a obra do violonista Othon Salleiro (1910-1999). O objetivo desta pesquisa é analisar, recuperar e contextualizar a produção do compositor carioca dentro do panorama do violão popular brasileiro. Através da apreciação de sua obra, da transcrição das gravações disponíveis e da análise comparativa dos violonistas compositores do mesmo período, procuramos traçar a identidade composicional e instrumental de Othon Salleiro. Lembramos que se trata de uma produção exclusivamente para violão solo. Além da catalogação das obras encontradas, a confecção das partituras foi a nossa contribuição para recuperar e divulgar a obra deste importante compositor do cenário do violão popular brasileiro. / This study focuses on the work of guitarist Othon Salleiro (1910- 1999). The purpose of this study is to analyze, recover and provide context for the work produced by the composer from Rio de Janeiro within the scenario of Brazilian popular guitar music. By examining his work, transcribing available recordings and doing a comparative analysis of composer guitarists of the same period we tried to outline the composing and instrumental identity of Othon Salleiro. We remind you that his work is exclusively for solo guitar. In addition to cataloguing the music found, making sheet music was our contribution to recover and make known the work of this important Brazilian popular guitar composer.

Denn wie gelangen stets die richtigen Noten pünktlich auf die Pulte der Dirigenten und Spieler? Die Orchesterbibliothekare legen meistens selbst Hand an und erarbeiten mit den Dramaturgen und Regisseuren eine Aufführungsfassung. Nicht selten müssen bis zu 100 Seiten Opernmaterial eingerichtet werden. Und das nicht gesamt, sondern einzeln für die Bläser, die Sänger und den Dirigenten.

Med utgångspunkt i min bristande notläsningsförmåga är syftet med föreliggande studie att undersöka vilka resurser utöver själva noterna som jag använder vid inlärningen av ett noterat musikstycke. Detta sker via videoobservation, dikterad loggbok, samt insamling av tidigare data. Tre olika övningspass á 20 minuter ligger till grund för resultatet. Dessa analyserades och bearbetades utifrån ett designteoretiskt perspektiv. I resultatet beskrivs vilka resurser jag använde, hur de användes, samt varför de användes. I diskussionsdelen belyses resultatet utifrån ett designteoretiskt perspektiv, jag resonerar kring behovet av att använda dessa resurser, samt diskuterar orsaken till min problematik och vägen framåt. / Based on my lacking ability to read sheet music, the purpose of this study is to examine what resources beyond the music notation I use in the process of learning a piano piece from sheet music. This is done through video observation, a dictated journal, and collection of previously available data. Three separate practice sessions of 20 minutes each is the basis for the result. These were analyzed and processed based on a design theoretical perspective. The result describes which resources I used, how they were used, as well as why they were used. In the concluding discussion section, I illuminate the result from the perspective of design theory, I argue regarding the need to use these resources, as well as discuss the cause of my problems and a possible way forward.

<p>The purpose of this Master’s thesis is to study how well the online catalogue of The Music Library of Sweden works when ordinary users are searching for sheet music. The issues studied are: Why do the users fail to find the sheet music they are looking for? Do the users take advantage of the possibilities that the classification codes of the SAB system offer? If not, why?</p><p>The source material of the study is 144 comments from a user questionnaire about the online catalogue and, in addition, the search log for one day (513 queries). The comments were sorted into seven groups depending on the type of information need, for example searches for certain instrumentation or genres and problems with spelling. Each analysis ends with suggestions for improvements of the catalogue and its instructions.</p><p>The thesis show, according to the Zipf’s principle of least effort, that sheet music searching in the online catalogue is demanding too much effort and knowledge of the users. Searching with SAB classification codes is too complicated which may be the explanation why only 2 percent of the queries in the log are code searches. In 51 of the 76 cases where users failed to find sheet music the queries would have succeeded if the patrons had used classification codes. The SAB system is thus not used as often as it deserves.</p><p>The variety and amount of failed queries in the material show that sheet music is difficult to search, for several reasons, for example the complex construction of uniform titles of musical works and that the searchable vocabulary of the online catalogue often differ from the users’ own.</p>

Jag har under projektets gång studerat in fem renässansstycken för klassisk gitarr utan att ta hjälp av instrumentet vid instuderingsprocessen och analyserat resultatet utifrån ett hermaneutiskt perspektiv. Instuderingen av styckena har skett helt mentalt genom en kombination av två olika metoder för mental instudering baserat på Giesking och Liemers (1972) Visualizarion och en metod som Pujol (1983) presenterat som jag i denna studie väljer att kalla för Praktiskt Föreställande. Syftet är att se hur väl jag kan studera in ett stycke helt utan instrument i handen och att utforska hur den mentala instuderingsprocessen utvecklas under projektets gång i takt med att jag lär mig mer om metoderna genom att använda dem. Under den fem veckor långa studien förde jag loggbok där jag reflekterade och redovisade för mina instuderingstillfällen samt spelade in uppspelet av vart stycke med video och ljud. Varje instuderingsperiod á en vecka ledde till en utveckling av metoderna. I resultatet presenterar jag hur min användning av de båda metoderna gradvis utvecklas och hur det klingande resultatet i sin tur förbättras av den mentala förberedelsen. I diskussionskapitlet ställs mitt resultat mot mitt teoretiska perspektiv samt relevant litteratur och tidigare forskning inom området.   Nyckelord: gitarr, mental träning, visualisering, observationsstudie, notläsning, prima vista, hermeneutik / I have during this project studied five renaissance pieces for classical guitar without the help of my instrument while studying them and analyzed the results from a hermeneutical point of view. The studying of the pieces has been a completely mental process and a combination of two methods for mental rehearsal that have been used based on Giesking and Liemers (1972) Visualization and a method presented by Pujol (1983) that I during this study will call Practical Imagery. The intention is to explore how the process of mental rehearsal will evolve during the project as I learn more about the methods by using them. During the five-week long study I wrote a journal used for me to reflect and present the process of studying the pieces and recorded each performance with video and audio. Each period lead to me evolving the use of the methods. In the results I present how the use of both methods lead to them both gradually evolved and how the performance was affected by the mental training. Syftet med föreliggande studie är att ta reda på hur arbetssätt och övningar kopplade till språk och kropp kan bidra till förståelse och känsla för noterad rytm hos elever i årskurs 4 till 6, plus hur eleverna reflekterar över sin förståelse. Undersökningen har ett aktionsforskande angreppssätt och görs ur ett elevperspektiv. De vetenskapliga perspektiv aktionen tar fäste vid är ett socialsemiotiskt multimodalt perspektiv och det närbesläktade perspektivet design för lärande. I dessa teorier är teckensystem, samspel och meningsskapande centralt. I aktionens genomförande ingick ett förberedande möte med inblandade parter och en lektion där informanterna tog del av rytmövningar med ’rytmlappar’ vilka interagerades med paralleller till språk och body percussion. Informanterna intervjuades och fick reflektera/samtala kring deras upplevelser av övningarna. I aktionen har undersökningsledaren även rollen som lärare samt utvecklat de övningar aktionen kretsar kring utifrån inspiration från den egna praktiken. Metoder som användes för att kunna dokumentera och analysera empirin var videoinspelning/observation, en kvalitativ semistrukturerad intervju och även loggbok för planering, minnesanteckning och reflektion. Resultatet visar på att rytmförståelse synliggörs genom dels tankesätt som gör noterna förståeliga kopplat till ett traditionellt teoretiskt tänk, dels att sammanhang och involverandet av olika semiotiska resurser gynnar förståelseutvecklingen. En känsla av sammanhang kan komma inifrån aktionen eller utifrån elevernas tidigare erfarenheter. Med semiotiska resurser menas här främst de olika sinnen som får avgörande effekt på lärandet; det auditiva, visuella och kinestetiska sinnet. Även det taktila sinnet synliggörs i aktionen, dock som en effekt något skild från de andra. Resultaten kopplas även samman som i ett kretslopp.
