Da imagem ao símbolo: a escrita do nome próprio por crianças de três anos / From image to symbol: how three year old children write their proper names

Alencar, Claudia Maria Barbosa de 27 April 2012 (has links)
This work assumes that, through the analysis of the movement between speaking and writing, it is possible to understand the means by which the child builds the concept of proper name. In other words, it favors the study of the moment in which, to every one of the informers, the proper name was no longer an image and started operating as a symbol. The overall aim of this research was to comprehend how the concept of proper name symbolization occurs. The object of analysis was the written production of children around the age of three who are students at a nursery school in the countryside of São Paulo. During 2009, the informers were monthly recorded. The images were taken during a written activity in which the students were expected to write their own names. The aim of this activity was not only registering the act when the child writes her own name but also the speech produced while writing. Thus, the corpus was composed for video recording, simple transcriptions of the speeches recorded and four childrens written productions. We first consider Lacans approach, which considers the proper name a feature that creates a sign in a body and, as it designates a difference, signs it up in a determined place. Thus, this research aimed to answer how young children interpret the graphic marks produced by them, deliberately or accidentally, when they are asked to write their proper names. By the datas analysis, we intended to privilege the clues of the episodes that show the alternation between the human psychism registers described by Lacan (Real, Symbolic and Imaginary). By confronting the childrens productions, it was possible to conclude that there were movements in and from the written composition. It is possible to state that, little by little, the informers got up to date, when writing, their antipersonification to the language rules and, for this reason, they could cover a way in order to appropriate the written representation system. We assume, therefore, that the traces and lines produced work as significants that interrogate the child and instigate her to reflect on the written text. During this process, the teacher intervened, improving the reflection on the written text and supporting the hypotheses recast on writing as a knowledge object. In relation to the modifications in the relationship between the informers and the knowledge generated from the process, we could say that they started looking for ways to represent themselves through a singular and proper sign. We concluded, therefore, that the necessary investment in order to read more carefully young childrens productions is valuable, because it may give elements that will help comprehending the difficulties in teaching the older children how to read and write.

Thématique persécutrice et narcissisme chez des patients du cancer au Cameroun / Theme of persecution and narcissism at cancer patients in Cameroon

Mambou Nouemssi, Jean-Pierre 26 June 2017 (has links)
Several cancer patients in Cameroon think that their sickness is the outcome of a witchcraft attack. Authors in the African context ascribe the theme of persecution to the collectivist character of the society that make the individual, in case of illness, the scene of expression of an interpersonal and community conflict. We try to show that beyond that goupal stakes, the experience and the feeling of persecution fulfils a narcissistic function at the individual level. The theme of persecution among most of these patients is a denial of the sickness, a mean of inhibition of anguish of death related to it, an expression of the feeling of omnipotence and immortality proper to narcissism. Thus, it is accompanied of an ego hypertrophy, which believes to be envied by a person of the parental generation in an Oedipian fight, but at times also with somebody of the same generation. It would be in reality a strong reaction to an experience of catastrophe provoked by cancer. The feeling and expression of the theme of persecution is also a search for a protection against the distress related to cancer by a escape in the imaginary observed among the patients even in the western milieu. This favors an imaginary affluence in contradiction with the idea of deficit of mentalising of somatic patients supported by Ecole psychosomatique de Paris. But these patients are overwhelmed by this imaginary richness, and this deprives them from the mental elaboration ability, and doesn’t lead to a mentalising and language symbolization. Moreover, the feeling and expression of the theme of persecution is also a mean of subjective affirmation for subjects confronted to alienating narcissistic alliances.

No. of bitstreams: 1 Clarisse Carneiro Cavalcanti de Melo.pdf: 1105876 bytes, checksum: 723f07f1c21418199478ccc2afd5b73c (MD5) Previous issue date: 2011-11-07 / This paper aims to research the concept of aggression both as a condition of development and as a barrier for the psychic constitution. I try to articulate this concept with the relationships established between the child and their love objects, exploring more precisely the anguishes of loss and separations from the object. I work with the hypothesis that when the process of separation from the object of love can be well experienced, it opens up something like a psychic space into the ego that allows the recognition of a difference between ego and object. I also try to think about the deviations of those processes of separation from the maternal object in which some dynamics are supported, dynamics where the separation of the object is equated to fantasies of expulsion and rejection, situation that is fertile ground to create psychological barriers to psychic growth causing a banishment of the contact with the anguishes related to the loss of the object. The basic idea of this work is that, when aggression can not be experienced based on a psychic-well-being, it can easily turns into something that fills out the consciousness of the separation from the objet of love. This prevents the contact with the feelings of the object s dependency, feelings of helplessness, rejection, abandonment and with the anguishes of loss and separation, making impossible for them to be recognized and worked-through. Therefore, aggression cannot become a source of creative power. It creates an obstacle to psychic development, for the expansion and growth of the mind. In this way, aggression can even be used as an attempt to immobilize the object, eliminating the anguishes of the objet loss, leading to circular psychic movements that prevent the contact with a discriminated object, paralyzing the psychic operation. We looked also to discuss, throughout this work, the different possibilities of aggressions transformation, opening the horizon to some symbolic destinations, for the development of the thought and for the repair. This research is based on a psychoanalytical approach, and in this journey, authors like Sigmund Freud, Donald Winnicott, Melanie Klein, and many others contemporaries like Andre Green, Jean Michel Quinodoz, Luis Claudio Figueiredo, Renato Mezan, Elisa Cintra, to name a few, were my fellows, in which work I found evidence to support this thesis theoretically. Far from exhausting the subject of study proposed here, this paper aims to trouble it, in order to broaden discussions and clinicaltheoretical joints around the same / Este trabalho tem como objetivo pesquisar o conceito da agressividade tanto como condição de desenvolvimento quanto como entrave do acontecer psíquico.

The fairy tale’s dispositif on clinical with children with symbolization loss

Adolescence scarifiée : traces et mouvements symboliques d'un groupe à médiation écriture / Scarified adolescence : traces and symbolic movements in a writing-mediated group

Boinet, Pauline 30 January 2018 (has links)
The specificity of adolescence is the coming to the fore of genitality. This involves both a metamorphosis of the body and a psychic reworking. The body is also a place of contradiction that sometimes attacks, sometimes it embellishes in a frenzied eroticism. Indeed, the contradiction can be translated in symptomatic form and manifest the clutter that the adolescent feels in front of his body that escapes him. He does not know how to identify what he feels, he does not know how to name it and he does not even know he does not know. Sometimes the relationship he has with his body is sufficiently paradoxical that he can't appropriate it. It is this strangeness that will cause a cleavage in the adolescent. The two perspectives that emanate from these positions are quite different as to the future of the subject. This work is a continuation of various research works on the adolescent problem. He reports on the establishment of a therapeutic group in writing in a Pediatric General Service, writing with teenagers who are scarifying themselves. It is by considering these scarifications as a body language at the heart of the adolescent and pubertal problem, and in view of the difficulties that these teenagers have to put words on the indescribable of their pain, that the group was created. The setting up of this one corresponds more generally to a reflection on the process of adolescence, of subjectivation, and the relation with the body, in particular through the work of symbolization in adolescence. We also question the place of our reflection, the mediation writing as a deposit of a trace on a support, which as well as the meeting of the blade on the skin, would come as a stop (Le Breton, 2002); the encounter with the sheet by analogy with the body would come to recreate and offer a container for psychic suffering. The group could be seen as a transitional space in Winnicott's sense, at the root of the creative and reassuring experience for the teenager. The body would then have a similar function in what it would incarnate a border between an inside and an outside. One of the functions of the scarificatory practice would then be to restore the limits of the Self in a fight against a possible collapse.

Injonction de soins et subjectivation chez l’auteur de violence sexuelle : approche clinique / Injunction care and subjectivity of the perpetrator of Sexual Violence : a Clinical approach

Chevalier, Christophe 12 December 2014 (has links)
The order of care is a device that primarily concerns sexual offenders. This device which is available in France since 1998 is described as an additional penalty that begins after the sentence. The offender must go to a psychologist, a psychiatrist and take care of him for a period determined by the court. Through a referential inspired by psychoanalytic idea, we propose to understand the order of care as « a figure of third parties ». In this she would own a symbolic efficiency allowing the patient concerned to initiate a process of subjectivity. While society tries to avoid a relapse at any price, our work gives its place to the patient through the concept of subjectivity and explores its various representations. The aim of the study is to see if an order of care as a third party can facilitate access to mental health care. For that we organize meeting in two times with six months intervals with help of projective tools (Rorschach, family tree, drawing). Based on the analysis of four patients, the order of care seems to activate the process of subjectivity in most of them.

Lillqvist, Eva January 2016 (has links)
Lillqvist, Eva: Listen to the depths – A literature study of symbols and symbolization in music therapy. A thesis carried out within the context of the Master Program in Music Education, profile Music Therapy at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm, KMH 2016. The purpose of this study was to examine the importance of symbols and symbolization and their use in music therapy. The thesis is a qualitative research approach with hermeneutic elements and descriptive literature, on the basis of texts about mental health, communication, symbolic language and music therapy. The results obtained from the texts of symbol formation, mental illness from the feminist perspective, music therapy's play area, communications elements in therapeutic work and the use of symbols in music therapy and related fields. The concept of symbol and symbolization are described from different angles to the latter part of the thesis, result in concrete examples of how this is used in various forms of music therapy. The symbol therapeutic approach is illustrated from different perspectives. The conclusions were a wider and deeper theoretical understanding of how symbols are used in therapeutic work in general and music therapeutic work in particular, and the realization that there is great potential to develop and deepen this work.

Hansson, Annika January 2016 (has links)
Annika Hansson: Pearls of Life and Music Therapy. The rosary Pearls of Life created by Martin Lönnebo from a musictherapeutic perspective. The purpose of the study is to illustrate processes of symbolization in Pearls of Life from a music therapeutic perspective, and further to explore how and in what manner Pearls of Life can be linked with music therapy and how they can enrich each other. The essay is written from a hermeneutic perspective, with understanding as an ideal of knowledge. The hermeneutic way of interpreting the world switches between partial and holistic perspectives, which in concrete terms can be transmitted in Pearls of Life, where the different meanings of the pearls form a whole. The paper begins with an overview of the studied literature on music and health, music therapy, music psychology, psychology, symbolizing and spirituality to give a broader understanding based on essay topic. It also contains a summary of Martin Lönnebo´s book Pearls of Life and a qualitative interview with Martin Lönnebo. A study that examined Pearls of Life as a music therapeutic method has also been implemented. Based on the purpose of the thesis, all is then brought together in a final discussion. The conclusion is that Pearls of Life can be linked with music therapy and that music and Pearls of Life can enrich each other in processes of symbolization in music therapy.

Addictions et traumatismes, de l’évitement à la répétition élaborative : le recours à l’objet d’addiction comme recherche d’élaboration des expériences traumatiques précoces et actuelles / Addictions and trauma, from avoidance to elaborative repetition : the use of addiction as a research tool in the elaboration of early and actual traumatic experiences

Sinanian, Alexandre 26 February 2016 (has links)
Today, the question pertaining to the link between traumatism and addictions is prevalent in multiple research areas including epidemiology, psychopathology and neurobiology. From a psychodynamic approach this thesis aims to explore the meaning of compulsive addictive repetition from the perspective of psychological trauma. It explores the way in which, despite the negative impact of psyche anesthesia and disconnection, which struggles against the return of the traumatic experience, the act of resorting to addictions represents a quest, which insists upon the elaboration of extreme subjective situations. Indeed, in an extreme self-administered sensorial movement, addictive traumatophilia also recreates the primary distressing experiences waiting to be integrated. This would constitute the positive effect of the trauma. Using a cross methodology with a dominant qualitative approach, comprised of standardized tools (MINI and TAS-20), projective tests (Rorschach and TAT) and non-directive research interviews, we met six subjects hospitalized for withdrawal from psychoactive substances and for their psychotraumatic difficulties. We discuss the impact of extremely complex and multi-causal traumas and grasp the necessity of being attentive to traumas related to the quality of the relationship with the primary object and to the integrity of the body, in parallel to life events, which are potentially traumatic. We identify protective functions or narcissistic repairs, while considering that gaining access to the traumatic experience is no longer only about the faults of mentalization and of containment. Indeed, the forms of traumatic addictions equally represent an attempt of a passive-active reversal by influence, seeking paradoxically to heal the hurt by inflicting another “controlled” pain, to have the feeling of being in control of one’s own existence, even if it comes at the price of self-preservation. It is to be noted that they carry a message addressed to the object, which reveal the traumas waiting to be contained and interpreted. If the experience cannot be integrated and if no one is able to listen to the insistent research of figuration and symbolization found in the addictive behavior, narcissistic traumas may continue on tirelessly repeating themselves through the body.

Da imagem ao símbolo: a escrita do nome próprio por crianças de três anos / From image to symbol: how three year old children write their proper names

Claudia Maria Barbosa de Alencar 27 April 2012 (has links)
