Pedagogické časopisy pro výuku dějepisu jako praktická metodická pomoc československému učiteli dějepisu v období 1948-1970 / Journals of teaching history as a practical methodical support to Czechoslovak teachers of history in the period 1948-1970

Bimková, Dana January 2011 (has links)
This master thesis deals with history teaching from 1948 up to 1970. The main focus is not put on the way how the teaching looked really like, but it deals with the teaching methods how history should be taught. The major sources are journals of education for history teaching, mostly Dějepis ve škole and the preceding and following journals. The basic question is whether the magazines could have really helped the teachers in terms of teaching methodology and what was this support like. In the first chapter the history of education is described, the second chapter deals with the journals of education for history teaching. Next is described how a lesson should look like, the whole-class presentation, examination, revision, using a textbook. Special chapter deals with various tools for history teaching, including maps, images, audiovisual aids and literature. Moreover there is covered regional history, excursions, cooperation with museums and archives. In the end the basic question is answered; the journals were able to help the teachers well, many interesting and inspiring articles were in them. Nowadays, the problems of history teaching are almost the same, the have not been solved yet. Furthermore in the end are discussed special methodological debates in the half-public space that were present in...

Die Lerneffekte von Exkursionen im Rahmen eines Study-Abroad-Programms: Eine Fallstudie

Donohue-Bergeler, Devon Johanna 27 July 2009 (has links) (PDF)
Supervised cultural excursions are often included in the offerings of foreign language immersion study abroad programs. Such excursions have the potential to achieve a depth beyond sightseeing. Under certain conditions, excursions can foster linguistic and intercultural learning and skill acquisition in a setting that has advantages not only over the traditional classroom, but also over daily unsupervised immersion. These conclusions can be intuitively inferred, but have never been supported by empirical evidence. Therefore, the questions which guided this outcomes assessment research were: What are the potential learning effects of immersion program excursions? What are the actual learning effects of immersion program excursions? This thesis attempts to answer the first question with a literature review of immersion programs, their excursions, and holistic/action-based foreign language acquisition; and the second question with an empirical study of excursions offered by an immersion program in Germany.

Towards detection of user-intended tendon motion with pulsed-wave Doppler ultrasound for assistive hand exoskeleton applications

Stegman, Kelly J. 31 August 2009 (has links)
Current bio-robotic assistive devices have developed into intelligent and dexterous machines. However, the sophistication of these wearable devices still remains limited by the inherent difficulty in controlling them by sensing user-intention. Even the most commonly used sensing method, which detects the electrical activity of skeletal muscles, offer limited information for multi-function control. An alternative bio-sensing strategy is needed to allow for the assistive device to bear more complex functionalities. In this thesis, a different sensing approach is introduced using Pulsed-Wave Doppler ultrasound in order to non-invasively detect small tendon displacements in the hand. The returning Doppler shifted signals from the moving tendon are obtained with a new processing technique. This processing technique involves a unique way to acquire raw data access from a commercial clinical ultrasound machine and to process the signal with Fourier analysis in order to determine the tendon displacements. The feasibility of the proposed sensing method and processing technique is tested with three experiments involving a moving string, a moving biological beef tendon and a moving human hand tendon. Although the proposed signal processing technique will be useful in many clinical applications involving displacement monitoring of biological tendons, its uses are demonstrated in this thesis for ultrasound-based user intention analysis for the ultimate goal of controlling assistive exoskeletal robotic hands.

HEŘMÁNKOVÁ, Iva January 2012 (has links)
The diploma thesis deals with the position of teaching the local region in the educational programmes. On the basis of empirical research, it summarises the findings of teaching the local region in primary schools and the lower grade of grammar school in the Benešovsko region. Based on the results of worksheet research, it compares the pupils? knowledge about Benešovsko region and then it tries to find the connection between the level of the pupils? knowledge and the ways of teaching this topic. The second part of the thesis is focused on the actual suggestion of teaching the local region concept. It contains a complete teaching material in the form of working textbook, suggestion of school geographical project, school excursion and methodological manual including time devotion and curriculum content, chosen teaching forms and methods and integral approach to education. The conception is based on the actual Framework Education Programme for Primary Education.

Z Excursion : Spel-bidrag till Swedish Game Awards / Z Excursion : Game Entry for Swedish Game Awards

Nylin, Tobias January 2012 (has links)
This report describes my degree project. For my degree project I made a demo for a game idea that I've developed, and implemented for use with Xbox 360. The idea was about converting the feeling and gameplay of old 2D side-scrolling platform games into 3D, viewed from a first-person perspective. The Xbox 360 version of the demo was also submitted for the game competition Swedish Game Awards.  In the report, I explain this idea more extensive, what software I used to implement it, and how I implemented it. Finally, at the end I clarify the results and discuss fulfilled tasks and future improvements. I'm very pleased with my progress so far and I will continue to work on this on my own until it feels like a finished product that can be distributed.

Marenčáková, Jitka January 2019 (has links)
Title: Neurophysiologic intervention induced changes of the functional foot characteristics in school children. Objectives: The aim of the research was to identify the functional characteristics of the foot in school children selected on the basis of the activity of physical activity in the highest intensity (sporting children) and in the lowest intensity (non-sporting children) and to find out possibilities of influencing the functional characteristics of the foot by targeted neurophysiological intervention. The whole research study was divided into 3 related parts, which were examined separately. The first study aim was an identification of group specific functional characteristics of the foot in 2 groups of school children - actively sporting children and non-sporting children. The second study aim was the influence determination of long-term duration high performance sport activity on the functional characteristics of the school children foot in adolescent elite soccer players. And the aim of the third study was to verify the effect of the targeted neurophysiologic active intervention on the functional foot characteristics in actively sporting children with foot dysfunction of pronated foot and/or flatfoot type. Methods: The research study was divided into three study parts consisted of...

Computation as Strange Material : Excursions into Critical Accidents

Lagerkvist, Love January 2021 (has links)
Waking up in a world where everyone carries a miniature supercomputer, interaction designers find themselves in their forerunners dreams. Faced with the reality of planetary-scale we have to confront the task of articulating approaches responsive this accidental ubiquity of computation. This thesis attempts such a formulation by defining computation as a strange material, a plasticity shaped equally by its technical properties and the mode of production by which is its continuously re-produced. The definition is applied through a methodology of excursions — participatory explorations into two seemingly disparate sites of computation, connected in they ways they manifest a labor of care. First, we visit the social infrastructures that constitute the Linux kernel, examining strangle entanglements of programming and care in the world's largest design process. This is followed by a tour into the thorny lands of artificial intelligence, situated in the smart replies of LinkedIn. Here, we investigate the fluctuating border between the artificial and the human with participants performing AI, formulating new Turing tests in the process. These excursions afford an understanding of computation as fundamentally re-produced through interaction, a strange kind of affective work the understanding of which is crucial if we ambition to disarm the critical accidents of our present future.

Histoire croisée between French and German geographers in the firts half of the 20th century : the landscape geography (Landschaftskunde) put into question

Hallair, Gaëlle Frédérique 26 February 2011 (has links) (PDF)
In this doctoral thesis of epistemology of geography, I would like to know how French and German geographers in the first half of the XXe century use landscape geography to define and / or to practice geography. In the methodology of histoire croisée developed by Michael Werner, I’m trying to show the knowledge circulation between French and German geographers. In this aim I study the crossing approaches of landscape concept in the semantic, terminological, bibliographical, institutional and thematic fields focusing on the strained relationships, the similarities and links between the landscape geography and the regional geography. The first part deals with the context of the French-German relationships regarding the landscape geography, hence the study of landscape concepts, its translation problem and its semantical evolution as well as its reception in geographical reviews. The second part focuses upon actors and the possible given options in France and Germany through the landscape concept to define geography. The emphasis is put on academic geographers on one hand : Banse, Gradmann, Krebs, Schlüter, Volz and mostly Passarge in Germany, as well as Vidal de la Blache, Vallaux, Maurette, Dion, Clozier and Cholley in France. On the other hand, I emphasize geographers who ensure a knowledge circulation of landscape geography and that I see as « passeurs », « tiers » and « pivots ». At least, the third part analyses two priviledged scenes of the French-German meetings : the landscape session at the International Geographical Congress, and the landscape on the field of geomorphology thanks to international excursions and notebooks.
