Projektet 00.00.00 är namnet på en bok om löpning som tar sin utgångspunkt i personliga erfarenheter. Syftet med projektet har varit att finna nya sätt att gestalta löpning på, där text och bild verkar i samspel. Stora delar av designprocessen har därför ägnats åt experimentell fotografering i olika miljöer. Bokens tre kapitel handlar om upptäckter, smärta samt identitet, där avgränsningen för examensarbetet har legat i det förstnämnda. Förhoppningsvis kommer boken att inspirera andra att, genom löpning, utforska den egna relationen mellan sinne, kropp och omgivning.

Denna uppsats tar upp frågan om en teknisk artefakt, i detta fall läs- och/eller surfplatta, kan ses som en bra lösning för dyslektiker i deras svårigheter med läsningen. Studien har fokus på läs- och surfplattans funktioner som kan vara en möjlighet att hjälpa personer med läsning. Uppsatsens experiment beprövar en redan etablerad metod, läsa och lyssna samtidigt, genom att sätta samman ett antal funktioner och tekniker som finns idag i en enhet. Vi har undersökt om man kan öka läshastigheten och läsförståelsen hos dyslektiker med hjälp av sådan teknik på en läs/surfplatta. Resultatet visar en trend på att metoden fungerar. Trenden är dock bara svag enligt analysen av observationsdata då undersökningen endast utförts på tio personer. Det innebär att resultatet endast visar att undersökningen är rätt utformad men att den bör utföras i en större utsträckning för att den skall kunna representera populationen dyslektiker. / This paper investigates if a technological artifact, in this case eReader and / or tablet computer, can assist dyslexics with the reading. The study focuses on reading and the tablet computers’ functions that may help people with reading. The essay will be testing an already established method, reading and listening simultaneously, by combining a number of features and technologies that exist today into one entity. We have tested experimentally whether one can increase reading speed and the comprehension on those with dyslexia. The results indicate a trend in that the method works. However only a weak trend was observed since only ten subjects could be tested. This means that the results show that the study is properly designed, but it is suggested that the study should be conducted with a great number of test to be able to represent the population of dyslexics.

”Happy, happy, liksom” handlar om tvåsamhetsnormen och hur den (re)produceras i den samtida svenska kulturen. Uppsatsen tar sin utgångspunkt i feministisk teori, bland annat normkritik, socialkonstruktivism och teorier om heteronormativitet, och applicerar dem på en debatt om skilsmässa som pågick i svensk dags- och fackpress under hösten 2011. Debatten utlöstes av boken Happy Happy: En bok om skilsmässa, red. Maria Sveland och Katarina Wennstam. Empirin består av ett antal artiklar som publicerades i svenska tidningar under debattens gång. Av dessa artiklar har jag gjort en kritisk diskursanalys i syfte att ta reda på hur vår kultur (re)producerar tvåsamheten, samt för att belysa och kritisera tvåsamhetsnormen. Detta gjordes utifrån frågeställningar om hur tvåsamhetens konstrueras i reaktioner på avvikelser mot normen, hur betydelsen av fenomenet skilsmässa yttrar sig i upprätthållandet av tvåsamhetsnormen samt vilka teman och begrepp som återkommer hos skribenterna i deras tal om tvåsamhet. Jag fann i min undersökning att fenomenet tvåsamhet (och tvåsamhetsnormen) sällan uttalas explicit men ändå genomsyrar stora delar av debatten om skilsmässa, äktenskap och familj. Tvåsamheten premieras av samhället, både i lag och socialt, och är starkt sammankopplat med heteronormativiteten. Avvikelser mot normen får både praktiska (ekonomiska) och sociala konsekvenser.

En av skolans viktigaste uppgifter är att skapa en vilja hos eleverna att lära för resten av livet. Som det ser ut idag är det en av fem elever som inte gillar att läsa. Detta utgör ett problem då läsning är grunden till mycket av den kunskap vi möter. Syftet med denna studie är att se hur lärare resonerar kring läsning och motivation. Frågeställningarna som arbetet bygger på är följade; -          Hur arbetar lärare för att öka elevernas lust till att läsa? -          Hur sker valet av skönlitterära texter? För att besvara dessa frågeställningar användes kvalitativa intervjuer. Intervjuer har gjorts med totalt fyra lärare på mellanstadiet. Resultatet visade att lärarna ser sin roll i att motivera eleverna till läsning som stor. Alla informanter har en medveten plan för hur de jobbar med skönlitteraturen och ger exempel på hur de jobbar med läsförståelse, läsgrupper och högläsning. Hur de motiverar eleverna till läsning skiljer sig mellan pedagogerna men alla har metoder för detta. Det intressanta med resultatet är hur pedagogerna beskriver boken som en av de viktigaste faktorerna i detta arbete och att det ligger på eleverna att hitta rätt bok. Dessa två delar som motsäger sig varandra ligger som grund för studiens diskussion. / One of the most important purpose of the education system is to give students a lifelong desire to learn. At the moment one of five students do not enjoy reading. This is a problem because reading is one of the major sources of knowledge presented in school. The aim of this survey is to investigate teacher`s point of view in terms of reading and motivation. The questions that this survey is grounded on are following: - What strategies do teachers have for increasing student's motivation for learning? - How is the literature chosen? To answer these question formulations qualitative interviews have been used. Four teachers teaching in grades 4-6 has been interviewed. The result shows that teachers do take their role as a motivator for students to read, as important. All the contributed teachers have an intentional plan for how to work with reading comprehension, reading groups and teachers reading aloud to the class. How they motivate their students to read differs between the educationalists but have the similarity of having a plan for doing so. One interesting thing about the result is how the teachers describes the features of the book as an important element according to student's motivation but that the task of picking a book lies with the students alone. The survey's discussion is based on these two counterparts.

In 1945 the Dead Sea Scrolls were found in Nag Hammadi; the founding consisted of Gnostic Gospels, the Gospels helped researcher to get a more correct view of the Gnostic Movement. In the beginning of the 19th century another founding was made, according to Joseph Smith an angel appeared from heaven giving him lost Christian Gospels on golden plates, later knows as the Book of Mormon. With the new Gospels Joseph Smith founded the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter day Saints, also know as Mormonism. The thesis’ purpose has been to examine and do a literature analysis on the Book of Mormon, a recently new discovery, with secondary research on the Gnostic Gospels, also a recently new discovery. This paper will guide its reader through similarities between the two movements; with the overarching research question “What Gnostic elements can be found in the Book of Mormon?”. The first chapter will introduce the reader to the Book of Mormon and the Gnostic movement, in chapter two the research results will be displayed followed by the analysis, discussion and a conclusion that will take place in chapter three.

Korean calligraphy went through tremendous changes during the twentieth century, and Jung Hyun-bok (1909-1973), a gifted calligrapher, played an important role in bringing about these changes. This thesis focuses on one of Jung's most mature and refined works, "Using the Peak of the Five Elders as a Brush," owned by the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art. In addition to translating and explicating the poems on the screen, through a close examination of both the form and content of the work I explore how it reflects Jung's values, intentions, and background. This thesis also addresses the question of why some critics have classified Jung as a professional artist and considers some of the ways in which he actually cultivated and projected an image of himself as a traditional literatus.

The objective of this thesis is to present the life and work of Josef Bok, a Czech flutist from the first half of the 20th century. It brings information on his artistic development and on people who influenced his professional growth, it speaks about his time in Russia in the historical context, and last but not least it deals with his pedagogical activities at music schools in Brno and Prague. It also presents ?Škola hry na flétnu? (Flute Practice Book), a musical-didactic work written by J. Bok in cooperation with Rudolf Černý. The thesis tries to analyze this publication and compare it with the contemporary way of playing the flute. It marginally touches Bok?s role as a composer and a piano player. The significance of Josef Bok is evaluated through subjective observations and memories of other flute players and family members in the conclusion.

Detta examensarbete behandlar ämnet bokformgivning. Uppdraget bestod i att jag fick ett manus som skulle formges till en bok. Rapporten beskriver arbetets gång med metoder och principer inom informationsdesign och typografi. Uppgiften var korrläsning och viss redigering av text, val av format, typsnitt och storlekar, layout, brytning av texten, formgivning av omslag och omslagstext. Titeln på boken är Minsta möjliga friskvård och är riktad till chefer, friskvårdare och anställda. Den handlar om hur företagen kan stödja de anställda som inte är så intresserade av friskvård, de som inte orkar träna eller inte har lust att röra på sig. Utmaningen ligger i att göra en bok som upplevs så lättillgänglig och positiv som möjligt, så att även den som inte är så intresserad av friskvård orkar läsa den. Det är många element som ska tas hänsyn till när det gäller harmonin på en boksida. I och med arbetet har jag identifierat och beaktat några av de viktigaste faktorerna, bland annat format, satsyta, typsnitt, radlängd, radavstånd, ordmellanrum, tillriktnig, styckeindelning och horungar. Det finns mycket litteratur inom området typografi, många regler och rekommendationer som grundar sig på hur ögat tar in informationen och tolkar den. Reglerna är bra att utgå ifrån, men att följa reglerna är ingen garanti för god typografi.
