Sebrané spisy Jana Patočky jako ediční problém. / Collected Works of Jan Patočka as an Editorial Problem

Petruželková, Adéla January 2016 (has links)
The dissertation thesis Collected Works of Jan Patočka as an Editorial Problem deals with both the samizdat and the printed versions of the collected works of Czech philosopher Jan Patočka (1907 - 1977) and other domestic as well as foreign editions of his work. The Archival Collection of Jan Patočka's Work emerged as the side product, to some extent uncoordinated and intuitive, of the sorting of the author's legacy in the years 1977 - 1989. Nevertheless, the 27 volumes of this unpublished edition represent a fully-fledged attempt to organize a critical edition of Patočka's collected works. At the end of the 1980's, an exile edition was intended, as the outcome of the cooperation of domestic, exiled and foreign community of researchers. The post-revolution Collected Works of Jan Patočka have been published since 1996 and, contrary to the previous series, represent a re-arranged and amended edition. The paper follows the process of scientific reflection, which has accompanied the edition of Patočka's works (both edition series were assembled by the same editorial team of Patočka's disciples.) We describe the use of thematic, chronological and other criteria in the course of the organization of the collected works, the transformation and scope of editorial commentaries, especially when dealing with the areas...

Inventório. Processos de design na divulgação científica para crianças: estudo de caso de livro informativo / Inventory design processes in science communication for children: informative book case study

Ana Paula Campos 06 May 2016 (has links)
This qualitative study aimed to raise and discuss ways in which the design field can contribute to science communication for children. Specific applied design processes and certain investigative axes of research were identified from a survey of cases of science communication for children in Brazil and abroad, of different natures and media: collaborative processes, participatory processes, playfulness and information design. In order to highlight and discuss questions relating to these four axes, we conducted a case study of the children\'s information book Lá fora - Guia para descobrir a natureza (texts by Maria Ana Peixe Dias and Inês Teixeira do Rosário, illustrations by Bernardo P. Carvalho, Planeta Tangerina, Portugal, 2014). The case study is based on literature review on: collaborative processes, participatory processes, processes aimed at playfulness, information design, picturebooks and children\'s information books. The analysis suggests that the design field contribution to science communication for children can be enhanced the more comprehensive its scope is and the earlier it is introduced in the design process. In addition, each investigative axis highlights specific contributions, linked to the form of participation that design takes on the production process of the publication, namely: the informative, investigative and critical accuracy, and the creativity in addressing the themes of science (collaborative processes); the defense of autonomy, leadership and respect to cognitive and emotional needs of the child (participatory processes); the poetic, open, imaginative and complex approach of subjects addressed (processes aimed at playfulness); the attention to the usability and readability of objects, and its information visualization (information design).

[en] ANALYSIS OF DIGITAL COMPONENTS IN THE TEXTBOOK OF ENGLISH LANGUAGE / [pt] ANÁLISE DOS COMPONENTES DIGITAIS NO LIVRO DIDÁTICO ELETRÔNICO DE LÍNGUA INGLESA

NATHALIA DE OLIVEIRA SOUZA BARBOSA 12 July 2019 (has links)
[en] In the publishing market, the electronic textbook has been seen as a great question mark both for adoption in the classroom and for its production chain, much because its demand was created in the wake of the digital revolution and it was not possible to structure a process or a expertise in its constitution as a product of the cultural industry. The main Brazilian publishers in this field have created their collections based on the model adopted in the printed book, including digital resources as technology allows and that the market has accepted to compose the electronic textbook. In this process, the role of the graphic designer became questionable and why not say restructuring, which seems essential to me to understand the nuances of the agents involved in the process, but also think about the production chain and more precisely the use in the classroom, the participation of the teacher and the performance of the student in front of the digital resource. Based on the question about the contribution of the designer in a production of the electronic textbook in a way the can enhance the learners experience. In order to answer this question, this research focuses on the analysis of the digital components of the electronic textbook whose purpose is to map, establish connections and parameters for those resources that are components of the research object. The chosen book is part of the catalogue of Learning Factory S.A / Cultura Inglesa and is identified as book app, regarding its classification as electronic book. The methodology for analysis is based on a documentary research for the selection criteria of the volume to be studied, with an exploratory nature and later follows the related study case. To think about the use is of extreme importance to delineate other possibilities of the role of graphic designer as mediator in the production of learning resources, understanding also their importance and social responsibility in their everyday praxis. Therefore, this research comes to add to others of the same field giving their contribution in connecting the directly related points between stakeholders, distant by the routines, budgets and schedules of the offices, in a space of reflection and analysis within the academic field.

West German editorial journalists between division and reunification, 1987-1991

Dodd, Andrew January 2013 (has links)
This thesis analyzes the published commentary of editorial journalists regarding the division of Germany in twelve major newspapers of the Federal Republic of Germany in a period spanning from the final years of division to the immediate aftermath of the unification of the two German states. The study tracks editorial advocacy in response to East German leader Erich Honecker's Bonn visit in 1987 coupled with the intra-German policy efforts of the Social Democratic Party in opposition, which seemed to edge towards two-state neutralism; the wave of repression in the German Democratic Republic from late 1987 onward in the wake of Mikhail Gorbachev's reform programme, and the June 1989 visit of Mikhail Gorbachev to Bonn. Journalistic commentators' propagation of a form of constitutional patriotism as a Federal Republican identity will be examined. Responses to the East German Revolution as it developed in late 1989 are analyzed in detail, followed by an account of journalistic efforts to define the political-cultural parameters of united Germany between March 1990 and June 1991. After four decades, the post-war division of Germany had acquired a degree of normalcy. Journalistic commentators argued against any acceptance of division that also accepted the existence of the party-state dictatorship in the German Democratic Republic, insisting that the German Question was 'open' until self-determination for East Germans was realized. Nevertheless, throughout the period journalistic commentators argued in unison against solutions to division which would alienate the Federal Republic from its western alliance or put its established socio-political order at risk. Contemporary journalism propagated an image of the Federal Republic that was thoroughly defined by its post-war internalization of 'Western' value norms. This was most evident during the East German Revolution and the immediate aftermath, ostensibly the moment of greatest uncertainty about Germany's future path, when commentators became champions of continuity within the western alliance.

The Analysis of Argument Structures in Editorials

Chu, Chuo-wen Unknown Date (has links)
By the means of formal semantics, this thesis used two opposite editorials as cases to design a discourse analysis procedure which translates expository-argumentative texts into formulae of first-order predicate logic. The procedure reduces disputes in natual language about truth or rightness claims into judgements on truth values and validities of argument forms, thus the communicative actions disabled by quarrels can be practically redempted. The designing drafted feasible treatments for propositional structures of discourses, compound sentential constituents, anaphoras, quantifier scope ambiguities, cause-and-effect statements, inferences for absent premises, and quotation structures.

Poválečná generace překladatelů: malé a velké dějiny. Ilustrace problematiky na rozhovorech s překladateli / The postwar generation of translators: Small and Big History. Illustration issues on interviews with translators

Neudertová, Miriam January 2013 (has links)
During the research project "The situation of literary translation in Czech society after 1945", which was initiated by the Institute of Translation studies of the Faculty of Arts of Charles University and undertaken between 2008 and 2011, nearly thirty interviews were conducted with important Czech translators of the post-war generation. This thesis follows the cited research project. It is divided into three parts. The first part presents an introduction to the methods of oral history. The second part confronts objective historical facts with subjective memory - information obtained through the conducted interviews. The third part expands the corpus with two further sets of interviews. These are introduced by a short depiction of the presented narrators and followed by an editorial note. In the summary the paper points out and evaluates the results gained by the present research, including the newly collected material.
