Previous issue date: 2009-10-13 / Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior / This research has as aim to map/create sign qualities in digital medias in the
web, specifically that can make its design becomes into a language capable to induce
an aesthetical creation by emerging properties from its own qualities. We define design
as desire (of continuity) that do not cease to establish perceptive and conceptual
connections with the outside, the other, the caos and the web as a hypermedia, that
makes possible the non-linear communication, always unconcluded and interactive.
In the construction of this route, we meet the problematic itself, the being of
what is not even thought (?-being, for Deleuze). However, we think and communicate
by the language. According to peircean theory, perception presumes interaction between
thought and outside. Then, interaction was thought as a method, extracted from the
peircean theoretical support to connect distinct ways of existence. For Prigogine,
complexity creation occurs by interaction between system and its entropic environment.
Therefore, we proposed a dilation of present by construction of relations into an
unconcluded environment as a basic condition to design creation in general, specifically
in digital media, under the point of view of project. Thus, the theoretical study of
difference, perception and interaction was made profound by mapping/creating
conditions capable to provoke a creative process in design by digital media; this is the
investigative importance of our research. Under the empiric point of view, we created a
digital environment for real time design experimentation, expecting it can contribute to
Assim, o estudo

Previous issue date: 2010-05-12 / This research is turned to one of the most crucial questions of digital design that,
as I see it, is concerned with the problem of interactivity. It is not casual that this has
been the great and most repeated subject when communication design is in focus.
Interaction design in digital media is a process in which a tool is planned in order to
give support to some task, so that an efficient communication between user and
machine can occur.
Being the design of a tool, there should be a concern about the object being
functional and adequate to usage. At the same time it has to be appealing in the sense of
causing pleasurable visual, cognitive and emotional sensations. In design my emphasis
goes to the process of production: which are the factors that have to be taken into
account for the realization of an interaction design? This is the main problem of this
research which directed the goals of this work toward the systematization of these
factors.
I believe that game design is the one which takes further the factors that are
implicated in an interaction design. This presupposes the question of interfaces which,
in this context, means the communicative negotiable space without which a game could
not happen. An interface is the more effective the more is is able to produce an
immediate decodification of the signs which are capable of inciting action, that is, the
game mechanics. Hence, interaction is thought of as the form by which the user
becomes not only a user but a player, someone who acts with the sensation that
something is at stake and the results of the interactions may create an emotional
approximation.
My hypothesis is that an interaction design is not merely a representation or
transposition from a physical to a simulated reality. Much more complex than this, the
designer has to make a translation of the physical actions to be accomplished in the
simulated environment. This operation is necessarily an intersemiotic operation (Plaza,
1987), since it involves a set of systems of signs in a hybrid language such as
hypermedia.
The theories which give support to this work are the ones that discuss the
general question of interactivity, such as Steven Johnson (2001), Jenny Preece (2005),
Allan Cooper et al. (2007), Goodwin (2009). Specific theories in the field of games are
Tracy Fullerton (2004), Jesper Juul (2004) e Jesse Schell (2008). These found my
hypothesis that the process of interaction in digital design is a special type of
communication act which is manifested as a result of the desiger translation of actions
that are realized in a physical environment. This communication process is special
because it presupposes that the design is able to incite action. Hence a communication
process that is resolved in the immediate action of the player.
The methodology is based on the theoretical concepts, which were tested in my
experience with games and my teaching activity turned to game design along the years.
All this converged to the thesis that is defended in this work which conceives of
a sistematização desses fatores.
seja, a mecânica do jogo.
(2004), Jesper Juul (2004) e Jesse Schell (2008).
efetuadas no ambiente físico.

Previous issue date: 2010-05-11 / Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico / One of the recurring themes in the reported studies comunicative has been the possibility of proposing another way of dealing with communication that is able to understand the recent changes in the culture caused by the new instrumental technologies of social virtual. This study therefore is to investigate how to structure those bonds mediated by the spread of the virtualization of everyday experience and that currently result from communication media bios (conceptual metaphor used by Muniz Sodré to designate new forms of life and socialization driven by the current stage of cognitive capitalism). In other words, this research seeks to analyze and interpret the ontological character of interactive links which are reflected in real time and space self-referential and, therefore, will give the specific internal communicative action. Hence, our hypothesis is that the communication capacity of a medium is directly related to how the operating systems (codes) are organized into the various complex communicative (language). In this sense, self-referentiality of digital media for interfering in the production and distribution of informative content, while it changes the meaning of communicative procedures by means of another diagram of communicating that occurs in a continuous way and evolutionary designing a mapping between culture and ecological environment. This fact has led us to other parameters epistemological who see the bios of the media, despite its vagueness and weaknesses as an object of study, as a new, potentially capable of promoting an ecological science of communication nowadays / Uma das temáticas recorrentes nos estudos comunicativos tem sido o da possibilidade de proposição de um outro modo de tratar a comunicação que dê conta de compreender as recentes mudanças no ambiente da cultura provocadas pelo novo instrumental social das tecnologias do virtual.

A CRITICAL ANALYSIS OF THE DISCOURSE OF A BUSINESS MAGAZINE ABOUT COMPETENCES / [pt] TRABALHADOR SOB MEDIDA?: UMA ANÁLISE CRÍTICA DO DISCURSO DE UMA REVISTA DE NEGÓCIOS SOBRE COMPETÊNCIASMARCELO ALMEIDA DE CARVALHO SILVA 29 October 2014 (has links)
[en] The objective of this research is to understand the discourse of one popular magazine business in Brazil – Você S. A. - on the theme competencies to enter, to keep and ascension of individuals in corporate market. To achieving that goal, it was possible to problematize the relations of power and domination present in today s precarious labor relationships, where individuals need ,increasingly , to submit the eligibility criteria imposed by the market . It is assumed in research serving as a mediator between these professionals and the firms, the media business try to justify the skills demanded by the market, and prescriptive and instrumental way, offering tips and advice in order to achive such skills . Given this important role, we sought to understand the ideological guidelines by which this discourse. Theoretical foundation for this study was based in a review of the literature about on competencies, contemporary labor market ,business media , discourse , ideology and power. The data sources were obtained through documentary qualitative research, which covered five years of publication of the magazine Você S. A. for a total of 70 editions and 101 reports .For identification of competencies were categorized 16 discursive objects that comprise six discursive formations. The analysis method was the Critical Discourse Analysis. The results obtained suggest the existence an ideological bias in the discourse of the magazine - which in the intent of submitting the individuals competencies to the market demands acting as ideological control over workers - represented by four orders of discourse.

[en] In the new map of mediation, where the essencial role of communication media is recognized, in Brazil especially the television, as key spaces of cultural production, by looking at the texts of de telenovela s so-called TV spot teasers and the way they are broadcast by the TV spot teasers media, one recognizes the possibility of creating sense for this telenovela s plot, which is structured in a se-rial, continued, way for a long period up to eight months. This thesis proposes to demonstrate how, starting from the production of a telenovela s TV spot teasers text broadcast by a strategical market-oriented mechanism, used by the Rede Glo-bo television network, which is the TV spot teasers media, one architects the composition of a micro narrative of the themes developed by the telenovela s nar-rative throughout its exhibition. To undertake this research we analyzed all the texts of the TV spot teasers produced for the release and maintenance of the telenovela Avenida Brasil (translated as Brazil Avenue for the international mar-ket), last audience phenomenon, also with considerable repercussion on the digital environment, broadcast by Rede Globo in 2012.

Previous issue date: 2008-04-23 / The present research aims to investigate the professional development of a Math
teachers group in a process of building a videopaper. Videopapers are multimedia
documents that include a text frame, a comment frame, a video frame and an image
frame, contents of which are interrelated in multiple ways. In order to start the discussion
among the teachers, we have selected a problem in which they were supposed to
represent a person s movement in the graphic. First, they used paper and pencil and,
then, a TI Graphing Calculator. When they were building the videopaper, the teachers
began selecting images and excerpts of speeches from videotaped episodes of their
actions in the proposed activities. Right after that, they had access to a videopaper and
initiated the process of structuring the one that was going to be built by the group. During
this process, the teachers constituted a group, which, in the perspective of Wenger (2001)
is a Community of Practice. We have chosen as reference theories that connect
Teacher s Professional Knowledge, Movement Math and Discourse Interactions. This
research analyzed the teachers discourses in the light of Modelo da Estratégia
Argumentativa (CASTRO e FRANT, 2000) and of Tipologia do Discurso (NEMIROVSKY,
2005). From this perspective, we made an attempt to comprehend better the relationships
between the production of narratives about the practice and the development of the
professional knowledge. The research methodology is in the field of qualitative
investigation, in which we have adopted Design Experiments in Educational Research
(COBB et al., 2003) as a guide. To conclude, the research results showed that the
opportunity to watch classroom episodes repeatedly was important for the teachers. They
could not only think about their own mathematical knowlege, but also reflect on their own
classes, by analyzing the different manners in which their students express themselves
and how they would do that using technology. We also observed that the discourse
changed after the video. It turned out more grounded into the images, which gave the
opportunity to arise a judgment discourse about other classes that have not been
recorded. Finally, this research showed how Communities of Professional Knowledge
composed by a researcher and teachers can be excellent opportunities to master the
no vídeo.

Previous issue date: 2007-05-04 / Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico / This dissertation analyzes and interprets the image of the Brazilian rural middle propagated by the media, in specific the Veja Magazine, printed Brazilian mass media. The analyze unit choused was the information weekly magazine that have the most public in Brazil, the Veja Magazine, studied through years of 2004 to 2005. This option have relation with the proposes of this work, that are to verify the Brazilian rural image showed to an heterogenic public but not necessary linked with the rural middle. The study wants to show the important role of the mass communications media that deals with the journalistic information in a task of mediate the reality conceptions. This study agrees with the researches that show us that the mass communications media are a tool able to exercise some influence in the messages ideas from the receivers. This analyze used the idea of symbolic power and its relationship with the language and its interactions mediate like elements that explain the news production process in a hypothetical of settings scheduling and news framings. This research, begins with the idea that the rural can be better understood in the nowadays, by the light of the concept of multifunction in the agricultural activity. So, the intention was to identify the main subjects that have relationship to the rural middle in the journal messages, but mainly the way how it is categorized, caricatured or appreciated. To it, a search have done to try to find ways to justificate and to base the journalistic messages that help to show a kind of rural representation. The reflection explore better objectived elements, like the analyze of the selection and the placement of the messages in the news, and valorized elements in the content of the message itself, like the photography ones and the font function in the text. The data in this study shows the mass media like a tool of sense mediation and power socially legitimate, able to inform and form its frames produced about the rural middle.

[en] 24 HOURS AUTHOR: POSSIBLE INTERACTIONS THROUGH VIRTUAL CONTACTS / [pt] AUTOR 24 HORAS: ALCANCES (POSSÍVEIS) EM UM TOQUE VIRTUALELOISE PORTO FERREIRA 19 May 2017 (has links)
In the beginning of the 21st century to navigate is a powerful verb, since we all navigate on the internet. At a click - sites come and go in our screens. This dissertation intends to investigate how autorship develops in contemporary times, in the face of the birth of new media. We intend to analyze two phenomena: the first one would be a decentralisation of authorship through the publishing of shared writing in blogs and the interference of the publishing market in the process of writing, with suggestions of themes, formats or procedures that used to be in authors hands in the past. This phenomenon demonstrates the progressive profissionalization of the author. The second one - apparently opposed to the first one - refers to what we might call the strenght of the author s image, especially in cyberspace, that has lead to a kind of resurrection of the author. This phenomena contributes towards the creation of an author s persona in cyberspace, where everything seems to be imprecise, since a single arena - the computer screen - is the place where both fictional and non-fictional communication takes place. Therefore, we intend to investigate the author s presence in two fields: cyberspace, through their participation and work on internet, and in real life, through their participation in literary events and interviews. What is an author? Michel Foucault asked back in the 60s, and his question remains relevant in the volatility of our cyber times.

on our 11 years of experience in the PCGL, including five years as deacon, we reveal details that will provide subsidies to academic studies in general of nowadays Pentecostal
phenomenon. On the other hand, by covering some areas not yet analyzed by the academy, we complement information that does not appear in David Martins de Miranda s autobiography, him being the founder of PCGL. Finally, we tried to identify the doctrines that characterize PCGL as well as its administrative processes. These denote a trend towards the professionalization of part of the Board of Directors in relation to the succession process. In
terms of succession, we also analyzed the institution s reproduction , a process that until now is under the charisma of its founder who administers his church with all the characteristics of a family business, within the gradient sect/church. Our conclusions demonstrate that the
strategies which fostered the expansion of PCGL are based on its radios stations, its big rallies, its proselytism and its fund raising efforts that together feed and support the growth of
the Pentecostal Church God is Love .(AU) / Procuramos demonstrar que a Igreja Pentecostal Deus é Amor - IPDA é uma Igreja, em expansão nas últimas cinco décadas.
