Postmodern finans: En explorativ studie om finansiella influensers och marknadsmanipulation

Avsikten med denna studie har varit att studera problematiken som har uppstått i och med det växande fenomenet finansiella influensers och dess koppling till marknadsmanipulation. Med en explosiv ökning inom aktiehandeln på dagens finansmarknader är det många beslut som inte längre kan definieras med enbart klassisk finansiell teori. Det växande och mer irrationella fenomenet finansiella influensers ses som en potentiell källa till denna utveckling. Med hjälp av ett postmodernt ramverk ämnar studien undersöka och analysera effekten detta fenomen har på investeringsbeslut samt undersöka hur Marknadsmissbrukslagen påverkar dessa influensers. Detta då marknadsmanipulation i tidigare studier visat sig kunna ha en koppling till finansiella influensers ageranden. Studien tillämpar ett kvalitativt tillvägagångssätt med postmodern inriktning, i syfte att studera en av flera möjliga beskrivningar av verkligheten. För bästa möjliga resultat använder studien en triangulering av data vilket innebär dels en tematisk innehålls-analys utav nio semistrukturerade intervjuer där åtta av respondenterna utgörs av finansengagerade småsparare och där den nionde är yrkesmässig expert på området, dels en kvalitativ innehållsanalys av en dokumentstudie för att inkorporera förståelse kring studiens problematik som den tas upp i andra samhällsdiskurser. Studien visar hur människor uppfattar att finansiella influensers har stor påverkan på dagens finansiella beslut och att detta fenomen har stor potential att orsaka marknadsmanipulation genom uppmaningar till följarna. Resultaten visar på att en postmodern syn på fenomenet kan öka förståelsen för dess existens, detta genom att inte endast irrationell eller rationell teori lyckas självständigt beskriva företeelsen. En viss samexistens av teorierna anses därmed behövas och svaren visar också på en potentiell koppling till rationaliteten bakom att göra till synes irrationella finansbeslut i dagens marknader. Ett tecken på hur finans är hyperrealistiskt, d.v.s. ett fenomen som givits en ny kontext skiljd från dess ursprungliga mening. Hyperrealism medför också att finans kan ses som postmodernt. Den reglering som är ämnad att kontrollera dessa marknadsmanipulationer, dvs. Marknadsmissbrukslagen, visar sig lida av otydlighet och potentiell godtycklighet. Studien visar på hur denna uppfattning från flera marknadsaktörer grundar sig i övertygelser om potentiellt subjektiva domar baserade på kriterier som inte lätt förstås av vare sig småsparare eller av större marknadsaktörer. Regleringens otydlighet markerar dess frånkoppling från lagens logiska grund och förståelsen för Marknadsmissbrukslagen kan öka genom att se på den som en godtycklig spelregel. Denna aspekt målar också upp en bild utav hyperrealism utifrån att regleringen praktiskt kan tänkas agera som en spelregel för finansmarknaden men i dagens samhälle används som lag. Studien visar därmed ett ytterligare bevis för hur finans uppfattas som postmodernt. / The purpose of this study has been to examine the problems that have arisen as a result of the growing phenomenon that is financial influencers and its’ connection to market manipulation. With a rapid increase of stock trading in today’s financial markets, there are many decisions in themselves that can no longer be defined solely by classic financial theory. The growing and more irrational phenomenon of financial influencers is seen as one potential source of this development. Using a postmodern framework, the study intends to investigate and analyze the effects this phenomenon has on investment decisions and also examine how the Swedish Market Abuse Act (Marknadsmissbrukslagen) affect these influencers. This is done because market manipulation has shown to have a potential connection to the actions of financial influencers. The study applies a qualitative approach with a postmodern focus, in order to examine one of several possible descriptions of reality. To attain the best results possible this study implemented triangulation of data, which included a themed content analysis based on nine semi structured interviews where eight respondents were ordinary investors and the nineth respondent were a professional in this particular work field. The study also constitutes a qualitative content analysis of a document study in order to incorporate a deeper understanding for the study’s problematization as it is mentioned in the social discourse. The study shows how people perceive that financial influencers have a great affect on today’s financial decisions and that this phenomenon has substantial potential to cause market manipulation through urgings to followers. The results show that a postmodern view of the phenomenon can increase the understanding of its existence, this is done through showing that neither rational nor irrational finance theories can on their own fully explain the phenomenon. A certain coexistence of these theories is thus considered necessary. The study also shows a potential connection to the rationality behind making seemingly irrational financial decisions in today’s markets. A sign showing how finance is hyper-realistic, i.e., a phenomenon that given a new context separated from its original meaning. Hyperrealism also means that finance can be seen as postmodern. The regulation that intends to control these market manipulations, i.e. The Swedish Market Abuse Act, turns out to suffer from ambiguity and potential arbitrariness. The study shows how this perception by several market participants is planted on beliefs about potentially subjective judgements based on criteria that are not easily understood by ordinary investors nor larger market participants. The ambiguity of the regulation points out its disconnection from the logical foundation of law and the understanding of the Swedish Market Abuse Act therefore might increase by interpreting this law as an arbitrary game rule. This specific aspect also paints a hyperrealistic picture, as the regulation is practically understood as a game rule in financial markets, but in today’s markets it functions as a law. Thus, our study presents further evidence how finance is perceived as postmodern.

[pt] Por uma ética mais humana - uma reflexão sobre os referenciais éticos da pós-modernidade e a proposta ética da mensagem cristã aborda a sociedade pós-moderna neste tempo de constantes evoluções técnico-científicas, a hipermodernidade. As manifestações humano-sociais assumem uma configuração própria, conseqüência de um intenso processo de personalização. As frequentes inovações nem sempre produzem os frutos esperados. Muitas de suas conquistas são responsáveis por uma flagrante carência de valores e princípios éticos, por um indiferente subjetivismo e por um generalizado sintoma de vazio existencial. Cada vez mais vigoroso, o individualismo irresponsável torna-se uma real ameaça à sobrevivência humana. Essa situação interpela e desafia a todos, revelando a urgência de novos referenciais comportamentais que dinamizem novos relacionamentos e novas atitudes humanas, mais solidárias e mais responsáveis. Segundo Hans Kung, pelo poder de influência que ainda possuem, as grandes religiões são capazes de fomentar e dinamizar novos princípios e valores éticos. Para isso, é necessário buscar um consenso mínimo, sustentado no diálogo e no respeito mútuo. Levando em consideração a análise feita por Gilles Lipovetsky e a proposta ética ecumênica de Hans Kung, esta dissertação se propõe apresentar a mensagem cristã como uma autêntica proposta ética, capaz de dar uma significativa contribuição à humanidade nestes tempos de vulnerabilidade. Acreditamos que a Boa Nova do Evangelho se reveste de uma significativa preocupação com a dignidade humana e com a vida em todas as suas manifestações, oferecendo as bases fundamentais para edificar um mundo mais justo e mais humano. / [en] For a ethics more human - A reflection upon postmodernity ethical references and the ethical proposition of the Christian message presentes the postmodern society at times of constant technical-scientific evolution, the hypermodernity. Being subjected by constant technical-scientific evolution, postmodern society has achieved its summit. According to Gilles Lipovetsky, we have reached hypermodernity, in which the human-social manifestations take on a particular configuration, consequence of an intense process of personalization. This society characterizes itself by frequent innovations which don t always yield the pretended purpose. Many of its achievements are responsible for flagrant shortage of ethical values and principles, indifferent subjectivism and a generalized symptom of existential emptiness. While getting more vigorous, the irresponsible individualism becomes a real threat to human survival. This situation questions e dares everyone, revealing the urgency of new behavioral references that could stimulate new relationships and human attitudes, more solidary and responsible. As stated by Hans Kung, through the power of influence that they still possess, major religions are able to promote and stimulate novel ethical values and principles. Therefore, it is necessary to search for a minimum consensus, based on dialog and mutual respect. Reflecting upon the analysis accomplished by Gilles Lipovetsky and the ecumenical ethical proposition of Hans Kung, the present dissertation means to present the Christian message as an authentic ethical proposition, capable of bestowing a significant contribution to humanity in such vulnerable times. It is believed that Gospel s Good News overlays itself with significant worry towards human dignity and life in all its manifestations, offering the fundamental basis to build a more fair and human world.

The subject of this study is Christian education in the church. This practical-theological work starts from the premise of the relevance of a commitment experience for the faith development of the individual and studies the formats and contents of continuing formal faith education of young Christians in evangelical free churches in a postmodern-urban milieu in Frankfurt. Its aim is to find out how well the New Testament discipleship topics of Jesus are integrated into the faith education in the church, and what reception difficulties and chances they experience in regard to the Zeitgeist. Are the New Testament discipleship topics still the basic guidelines with regard to content? The relationship between faith development, faith education and the local church is presented within a religion- and church-pedagogical approach and a connection to education for discipleship is made. The biblical premise is the discipleship commission of Jesus (Mt 28:18-20) and its church-pedagogical reply. / Der Untersuchungsgegenstand ist die christliche Erziehung in der Gemeinde. Diese praktisch-theologische Arbeit geht aus von der Bedeutung einer Commitment-Erfahrung für die Glaubensentwicklung des Einzelnen und untersucht die Formate und Inhalte der weiterführenden formalen Glaubenserziehung junger Christen in evangelikal-freikirchlichen Gemeinden im postmodern-urbanen Umfeld in Frankfurt. Ihr Ziel ist es, herauszufinden, inwiefern heute die neutestamentlichen Nachfolgethemen Jesu in der gemeindlichen Glaubenserziehung behandelt werden und welche Rezeptionsschwierigkeiten und Chancen sie im heutigen Zeitgeist haben. Die Dissertation untersucht einen Paradigmenwechsel in der Rezeption der historischen Avantgarde in (medien-)künstlerischen Projekten der 1980er und 1990er Jahre in Ex-Jugoslawien und Russland. Dieser Paradigmenwechsel liegt im veränderten Verhältnis zum Begriff der (politischen wie künstlerischen) Utopie begründet. In den 1980er Jahren zeichnet sich die Rezeption sowohl im sogenannten sowjetischen Postutopismus (Il’ja Kabakov, Ėrik Bulatov, Oleg Vasil’ev, Komar & Melamid, Kollektive Aktionen) als auch in der jugoslawischen Retroavantgarde (NSK, Mladen Stilinović, Malevič aus Belgrad etc.) durch ein ‚diskursarchäologisches’ Interesse an potentiell totalitären Elementen der Avantgarde aus. Seit Beginn der 1990er Jahre lässt sich eine signifikant veränderte Rezeption der historischen künstlerischen Avantgarde in Projekten junger KünstlerInnen aus dem östlichen Europa festellen (Neoutopismus, Retroutopismus). Die Utopien der Avantgarde werden im sogenannten Retroutopismus (Marko Peljhan, Vadim Fishkin) nicht mehr primär mit totalitären Tendenzen gleichgesetzt, sondern sie werden jetzt vor allem auf ihre medientechnologischen Projektionen und Entwürfe durchgesehen. Diese wurden nicht nur von einzelnen Avantgarde-Künstlern und –Theoretikern (Velimir Chlebnikov, Bertolt Brecht), sondern auch von Wissenschaftlern und Ingenieuren (Nikola Tesla, Herman Potočnik Noordung) am Anfang des 20. Jahrhunderts entwickelt. In den 1990er Jahren wird in künstlerischen Projekten somit ein verstärktes medienarchäologisches Interesse für frühe utopische Technologiephantasien der Avantgarde wahrnehmbar, das symptomatisch für ein signifikant verändertes Verhältnis zur Utopie bzw. zum Utopischen ist: Das Utopische löst sich von seinem eindeutig negativen, da politisch-totalitären Beigeschmack (verstanden als ‚Utopismus’) und wird wieder verstärkt positiv politisch konnotiert, d.h. als emanzipatives oder auch visionär-gespinsthaftes Potenzial verstanden (‚Utopizität’). / The dissertation researches a paradigmatic shift in the way artists reflect the historical avant-garde in visual and media art projects of the 1980s and 1990s in (ex-)Yugoslavia and Russia. The reasons for this paradigm shift can be found in the changing relationship to the notion of utopia, both in its political and its artistic connotation. In the 1980s, the reception both in so-called Soviet postutopianism (Il’ja Kabakov, Ėrik Bulatov, Oleg Vasil’ev, Komar & Melamid, Kollektive Aktionen) and in the Yugoslav retro-avant-garde (NSK, Mladen Stilinović, Malevič from Belgrads etc.) is characterized by a ‘discourse archeological’ interest in the potentially totalitarian elements of the avant-garde. Yet this point of view changes fundamentally during the 1990s in a younger generation of artists (neoutopianism and retroutopianism). Retroutopianism (Marko Peljhan, Vadim Fishkin) no longer primarily equates the utopianism of the avant-garde with totalitarian tendencies, but is reexamined with regard to its media-technological projections and designs, which were not only developed by individual avant-garde artists and theoreticians (Velimir Khlebnikov, Bertolt Brecht) but also by scientists and engineers during the early 20th century (Nikola Tesla, Herman Potočnik Noordung). Artistic projects of the time reveal an increasing ‘media-archeological’ fascination for the avant-garde's early utopian fantasies of technology. This fascination, in turn, is symptomatic for a significant change in the relationship to utopia and utopian thinking on the whole: utopian thinking per se separates from its unambiguously negative, political-totalitarian aftertaste (understood as 'utopianism') and takes on a new positive political connotation. It is now understood as an emancipatory or visionary-spectral potentiality ('utopicity').

Para tanto fazemos uma discussão sobre a pós-modernidade e sua proposta de ampliação da racionalidade, no sentido de acolher a ascensão da experiência como forma de percepção da realidade. Lançamos mão de algumas categorias de Gianni Vattimo e Andrés Torres Queiruga como aporte teórico capaz de nos possibilitar uma aproximação à teologia da revelação. Finalmente, estabeleceremos um diálogo entre estes autores e as discussões recentes sobre os lugares hermenêutico-literários de sentido, para então podermos apontar o desafio do que a cultura pós-moderna põe diante da teologia, a saber, a cooperação no discernimento da fé. Esse Último passo conduzirá a um deslocamento teórico-prático onde a teologia pode ser conduzida da condição de tuteladora doutrinária, a outra condição, de fonte de discernimento para as múltiplas vivências da fé cristã. / [en] The purpose of the present thesis is the reflection on the challenges that Contemporary culture brings to Theology of Revelation. To do so, we open the discussion with post-modernity and its purpose to enlarge rationality, in the sense of introducing experience as a valuable way of perceiving reality. We use Gianni Vattimo s and Andres Torres Queiruga s cathegories as Theoretic approaches in order to introduce the dialogue with Theology of Revelation. Then, we establish a dialogue between these authors and the recent discussions on hermeneutic-literary places of meaning, in order to point out the challenge with which post modern culture faces Theology, i/e, the cooperation in the discernment of faith. This last step will take us to a practical-theoretical dislocation where Theology may change its condition of doctrinal tuthorship to another condition of discernment as a source of multiples experiences of christian faith.

The Phd thesis titled Boundaries of the labyrinth and subtitled Literary space in the Italian postmodern novels strives for specification and closer definition of the genre of post-modern novel through the analysis of literary space. Formally, the thesis is divided into three parts. The first part aims to provide a theoretical introduction into the problems of three areas related to the given topic, namely the definition of postmodernity and postmodernism, the genre of the novel itself and last but not least the study of space in literature. The content of the second part is the actual literary and scientific analysis of the selected novels (Città invisibili and Se una notte d'inverno un viaggiatore by Italo Calvino, Notturno indiano by Antonio Tabucchi, Comici spaventati guerrieri by Stefano Benni and Oceano mare and City by Alessandro Baricco) which follows three basic and most frequent spacial topoi occurring in these novels, namely the topos of the city, the house-hotel and the road. The third and final section sums up the observed aspects and characteristics and strives to use them as a basis for determining a certain and generalizing spacial and temporal principle which would facilitate at least a partial characterization of the postmodern novel as an independent genre.

It was aimed to evaluate the inter-religious education and formation for their teachers in Brazil and to compare it with the conception of inter-religious learning in German RE. Following hermeneutic methodology, this thesis is structured according to triple-step-method (see-judge-act). To that corresponds the three main parts each one having two chapters. In the first part the socio-cultural, legal and epistemological context of RE in Brazil are analyzed. Therefore a positive concept of postmodernity is adopted, not as “after modernity” or even “anti-modernity”. In the mean of a radicalized critique towards modern rationality a continuing dialectic between modernity and post modernity is assumed. The analysis of the epistemological context of RE leads to the conclusion that RE based on Religious Sciences with its claims of scientific neutrality is inserted in a modern concept and does not seem able to prepare students for an appropriate reading of the postmodern religious phenomenon. Therefore decision was taken for a new RE designated here as “intertheological”, however, essentially inter-religious and inter-disciplinary. In order to his realization the formation of a colleague council composed of members of different religious traditions and representatives of various disciplines in Religious Sciences is suggested. The second part of the study evaluates the formation of RE teachers in Fortaleza comparing it with the conception of inter-religious learning in Germany. It is concluded that the formation of RE teachers in Fortaleza meets the requirements of a good formation of teachers in general, but with gaps in relation to the aspects of inter-religious and inter-disciplinary education. In consequence of this ascertainment a theoretical basis as well as a curricular mold for the formation of RE teachers that assumes decidedly the insights of postmodernity, drawing on metaphors of network knowledge, of rhizome, of spiral, of game and of open system is drawn up in the third part of that thesis. The result is a curricular model in form of a network that bypasses the initial proposal for an inter-theological, inter-religious and inter-disciplinary RE. Such RE has to be organized by a colleague council composed of members of different religious traditions and Religious Sciences as they are being present and influential in multireligious Brazilian scenarios. / Objeto de estudo desta pesquisa é o Ensino Religioso [ER] e a formação de seus docentes no Brasil e na Alemanha. Objetivou-se avaliar o Ensino Religioso interreligioso e a formação dos seus docentes no Brasil e compará-lo com a concepção da aprendizagem interreligiosa no ER alemão. O trabalho estrutura-se conforme o tripé metodológico do ver-julgar–agir ao que corresponde as três partes principais com dois capítulos cada qual, seguindo o método hermenêutico. Na primeira parte avaliam-se os contextos sócio-cultural, jurídico e epistemológico do ER no Brasil. Adota-se um conceito de pósmodernidade positivo, não como “depois da modernidade” ou até “anti-modernidade”. No sentido de uma crítica radicalizada à racionalidade moderna pressupõe-se uma continuidade dialética entre modernidade e pósmodernidade. A avaliação do contexto epistemológico do ER leva à conclusão de que um ER baseado nas Ciências da Religião com suas pretensões de neutralidade científica insere-se numa postura moderna e não parece apto para preparar os alunos para uma leitura adequada do fenômeno religioso pós-moderno. Opta-se, portanto, por um novo ER aqui denominado de “interteológico”, contudo, essencialmente interreligioso e interdisciplinar. Para sua realização sugere-se a formação de um colegiado constituído por membros de diversas tradições religiosas e representantes de diversas disciplinas das Ciências da Religião. A segunda parte do trabalho avalia a formação dos docentes de ER em Fortaleza comparando-o com a concepção da aprendizagem interreligiosa na Alemanha. Conclui-se que a formação dos docentes de Ensino Religioso em Fortaleza corresponde às exigências de uma boa formação de professores em geral, mas com lacunas no que diz respeito aos aspectos da interreligiosidade e interdisciplinaridade. Em consequência dessa constatação elabora-se, na terceira parte do trabalho, uma base teórica e matriz curricular de formação dos docentes de ER que assume decididamente os insights da pósmodernidade, inspirando-se nas metáforas da rede de conhecimento, do rizoma, da espiral, do jogo e do sistema aberto. Resultado é uma matriz curricular em forma de rede que contorna a proposta inicial de um ER interteológico, interreligioso e interdisciplinar organizado mediante colegiado de docentes constituído por membros das diversas tradições religiosas e Ciências da Religião presentes e vigentes no cenário plurireligioso brasileiro.

Percepções do fator acidentário de prevenção: o (in)sustentável meio ambiente do trabalho na pós-modernidade

A pesquisa aborda as percepções do Fator Acidentário de Prevenção como instrumento normativo para o alcance da sustentabilidade no meio ambiente do trabalho. Buscar a sustentabilidade no plano das relações de trabalho conduz à garantia de um ambiente laboral digno às presentes e futuras gerações de trabalhadores. Diante disso, a pesquisa atinge seus objetivos ao expor uma análise histórico-sociológica da transição do trabalho como formação biológico-evolutiva do ser humano à necessidade biológico-social pelo trabalho, abordando o meio ambiente do trabalho e as significativas transformações dos processos produtivos. Outrossim, a pesquisa demonstra a relevância do princípio da precaução para a construção de um meio ambiente do trabalho seguro, saudável e, sobretudo, sustentável, bem como aponta o Fator Acidentário de Prevenção (FAP) como instrumento normativo para a sustentabilidade do ambiente laboral. A pesquisa tem natureza qualitativo-exploratória, tendo utilizado como técnicas de coleta de dados a observação direta e a entrevista semiestruturada para identificar a percepção de seis observadores das relações de trabalho em relação ao FAP. Além disso, a pesquisa desenvolveu-se com uma sequência metodológica dividida em três fases: fase preliminar estado da arte , onde foram analisados os referenciais teóricobibliográficos, que fundamentaram a pesquisa de campo, denominada fase de coleta de dados , e a fase analítico-conclusiva , onde ocorreu a análise e discussão dos dados coletados. Moreover, research demonstrates the relevance of the precautionary principle to build a working environment safe, healthy and above all, sustainable, and points to the Accident Prevention Factor (APF) as a regulatory tool for the sustainability of the work environment. The research has qualitative and exploratory nature, and used as data collection techniques the direct observation and semistructured interviews to identify the perception of six observers of labor relations about the APF. Moreover, the research was developed with a methodological sequence divided into three phases: preliminary phase - "state of the art", which analyzed the theoretical and bibliographic, which motivated the research field, called "phase of data collection" and "Analytical-conclusive phase" that was a discussion and analysis of data collected.
