Os ideais femininos apresentados são criações masculinas e por isso merecem atenção especial. Ambas as personagens fazem referência a uma construção social que tem a ver com a distinção masculino/feminino, colocando a mulher numa posição de inferioridade e veiculando uma imagem negativa dessas mulheres adúltera e insana. Estamos interessados nesses estereótipos de mulher que se constroem a partir dos mitos concebidos e se incorporam ao gênero dando-lhes um caráter de naturalidade. Acreditamos que tais representações equivalem, no contexto das obras, a uma apropriação do olhar masculino sobre o corpo feminino. Machado de Assis e Henry James não captam apenas a alma da mulher, mas também transferem essa criação para a superfície da palavra com a qual esses enredos, narrados em primeira pessoa, se constroem. Por fim, com auxílio da linha feminista da crítica literária que se preocupa com a questão da mulher consumidora de uma literatura produzida por homens, pretendemos gerar uma reflexão a respeito da identidade de gênero criada e veiculada sob uma ótica masculina. / This dissertation intends to investigate how the feminine representations are built up in the novels Dom Casmurro and The Turn of the Screw, whose starting points are the characters Capitu and the governess, respectively. The feminine ideals are masculine creations and so they deserve special attention. Both characters refer to a social construction that is related to the distinction between masculine/feminine, which includes the woman in an inferior position and projects a negative image of these women adulterous and insane. We are interested in these stereotypes of women that are built from established myths and are incorporated into gender showing a character of naturalness. Concerning the novels context, we believe that these representations are equivalent to an appropriation of the masculine view over the feminine body. Machado de Assis and Henry James grasp not only woman s soul, but they also transfer their creations to the word surface, with which the plots in first person are built. To conclude, with the support of the feminist literary criticism which deals with the issue of women as consumers of a literature produced by men, we intend to encourage a reflection about gender identity created and presented according to a masculine view.

He/she Seeks a crossing of profiles of representations and social practices of students' reading and teachers of the Courses of Pedagogy and Letters of an university of the State of Santa Catarina, in the year of 2003. The reading is analyzed under the glances of the researched subjects of the mentioned institution, through a questionnaire and to the light of some theories. The interest for this theme felt for the need in understanding him/it better, researching, like this, pertinent aspects to the same, as: representations and social practices of teachers' readings and students of two degree courses, where one presuppose a largest concern to exist with the reading in their more varied forms and practices. The social representations are built in the collectivity and they reflect the several situations, besides in the subject of the reading. The language is product of a collectivity, it reproduces in sentences the knowledge and the values associated to social practices that you/they crystallize. The language reproduces a world vision. The social practices of reading also contribute in the construction of images, reinforcing present aspects in the speeches and in the own practices. Like this, the reading is a red social practice in gestures, spaces, habits, and it produces a sense. When crossing the profiles of the researched subjects it was noticed that the cultural subject and the imaginary social they implicate in an outstanding way in the representations and in the social practices of reading revealed in their speeches. The analysis of their speeches, done in this study, it is, therefore, a reading of the readings of those researched. The one that she present is a representation of the representations of the researched subjects / O presente trabalho de pesquisa consolida o Curso de Mestrado em Educação e Cultura, sendo requisito para obtenção do título de Mestre; constituindo-se em um Estudo de Caso e contempla a temática Leitura, em um sentido mais amplo da palavra. Visa um cruzamento de perfis de representações e práticas sociais de leitura de alunos e professores dos Cursos de Pedagogia e Letras de uma universidade do Estado de Santa Catarina, no ano de 2003. A leitura é analisada sob os olhares dos sujeitos pesquisados da instituição mencionada, por meio de um questionário e à luz de algumas teorias. O interesse por este tema se deu pela necessidade em compreendê-lo melhor, pesquisando, assim, aspectos pertinentes ao mesmo, como: representações e práticas sociais de leituras de professores e alunos de dois cursos de licenciatura, onde se pressupõe existir uma preocupação maior com a leitura nas suas mais variadas formas e práticas. As representações sociais são construídas na coletividade e refletem as diversas situações, inclusive na questão da leitura. A linguagem é produto de uma coletividade, reproduz em frases os conhecimentos e os valores associados a práticas sociais que se cristalizam. A linguagem reproduz uma visão de mundo. As práticas sociais de leitura também contribuem na construção de imagens, reforçando aspectos presentes nos discursos e nas próprias práticas. Assim, a leitura é uma prática social encarnada em gestos, espaços, hábitos, e produz um sentido. Ao cruzar os perfis dos sujeitos pesquisados percebeu-se que a questão cultural e o imaginário social implicam de maneira marcante nas representações e nas práticas sociais de leitura desveladas nos seus discursos. A análise de seus discursos, feita neste estudo, é, portanto, uma leitura das leituras dos pesquisados. O que se apresenta é uma representação das representações dos sujeitos pesquisados

Previous issue date: 2012-10-23 / This dissertation is entered in the search line "Identities and Social Representations" and aims to analyze the representations of rural youth about AIDS from cultural interactions rural/urban and juvenile forms of socialization. It is considered the intensification of the relationship countryside/city afforded by the growing ease of access primarily through the means of communication and transport and migration movement. For data collection, a questionnaire was administered to 131 students from rural and urban school integrated with the Agricultural Technical Course in IF Southeast Minas Gerais - Campus Barbacena. Data analysis was performed using the graphing and description in text form. A content analysis of the representations was made from keywords or main core ideas that appeared regularly repeated among all respondents. The research reveals, among other things, that rural youth are having access to information from the same communication tools accessed by urban youth, but information alone does not translate into knowledge that is capable of causing changes in attitudes towards AIDS, making it necessary to be accompanied by an interactive approach that takes into account diversity, socio-economic and cultural development of young people and the condition of social vulnerability to which they are exposed. We conclude that the school and the family play a key role in raising awareness of decision making and that the school, in particular, is considered by students as an institution of high reliability for learning mechanisms of AIDS prevention. / A presente dissertação está inserida na linha de pesquisa Identidades e Representações Sociais e tem como objetivo analisar as representações de jovens rurais sobre a Aids a partir das interações culturais rurais/urbanas e das formas de socialização juvenis. Considera-se a intensificação da relação campo/cidade proporcionada pela crescente facilidade de acesso através, principalmente, dos meios de comunicação e transporte e pelo movimento migratório. Para a coleta de dados foi aplicado um questionário a 131 alunos rurais e urbanos do Ensino Médio integrado ao Curso Técnico em Agropecuária do IF Sudeste de Minas Gerais - Câmpus Barbacena. A análise dos dados foi realizada através da elaboração de gráficos e descrição em forma de texto. A análise do conteúdo das representações foi feita a partir de palavras-chave ou núcleo de ideias principais que apareceram repetidas de forma regular entre todos os entrevistados. A pesquisa revela, dentre outras coisas, que os jovens rurais estão tendo acesso à informação a partir das mesmas ferramentas de comunicação acessadas pelos jovens urbanos, porém a informação, sozinha, não se traduz em conhecimento que seja capaz de provocar mudanças de atitudes frente à Aids, tornando-se necessário ser acompanhada de uma abordagem interativa que leve em conta a diversidade , o contexto sócio-econômico-cultural dos jovens e a condição de vulnerabilidade social a que estão expostos. Conclui-se que a escola e a família exercem um papel fundamental na sensibilização para a tomada de decisões e que a escola, particularmente, é considerada pelos alunos como uma instituição de grande confiabilidade para o aprendizado dos mecanismos de prevenção da Aids.

for partner-cultural factors. This idea is overcoming, linguistically, the notion
that such constructions are considered, just, literary decorations. With the
objective of discussing those subjects and of analyzing the metaphorical
constructions to the institution "school", this study considers, among other
theoretical ones, the ideas of Lakoff and Jonshon (1980;2002). The hypothesis
the idea that such constructions are metaphors conceptuais that, for his/her
time, they characterize Social Representations in the vision of Moscovici
(1978; 2003). For so much, were analyzed 85 texts produced by trainees of the
course of Pedagogy of the Federal University of Paraíba act in a Project of
Pedagogic Support addressed students of the Fundamental Teaching of
municipal public schools. The analysis of the metaphorical updatings starteds
the texts allowed to prove that the experiences lived at the institution "school"
are characterized by metaphors conceptuais that are Social Representations of
systemic base, so much current of the literal sense of that term as "physical
space", as of abstract experiences, when it prevails, in those texts, the idea that
the "school" is a space of hope. / As construções metafóricas, em sua maioria, detêm um valor cognitivo
determinado por fatores sócio-culturais. Essa ideia vem superando,
linguisticamente, a noção de que construções dessa natureza sejam consideradas,
apenas, enfeites literários. Com o objetivo de discutir essas questões e de analisar
as construções metafóricas para a instituição escola , este estudo considera,
entre outros teóricos, as ideias de Lakoff e Jonshon (1980; 2002). Tem como
hipótese a afirmação de que tais construções são metáforas conceptuais que, por
sua vez, caracterizam Representações Sociais na visão de Moscovici (1978; 2003).
Para tanto, foram analisadas 85 produções textuais de estagiários(as) do curso de
Pedagogia da Universidade Federal da Paraíba que atuam em um Projeto de
Apoio Pedagógico direcionado a alunos do Ensino Fundamental de escolas
públicas municipais. A análise das atualizações metafóricas identificadas nesses
textos permitiu comprovar que as experiências vivenciadas na instituição escola
são caracterizadas por metáforas conceptuais veiculadoras de Representações
Sociais de base sistêmica, decorrentes tanto do sentido literal desse termo, como
espaço físico , quanto de experiências abstratas, quando prevalece, nesses
produtos verbais, a ideia de que a escola é um espaço de esperança.

I skuggan av västerländska medier : En studie om hur Aftonbladet gestaltar terrorattentatBerglund, Elin, Johansson, Elinor January 2018 (has links)
This study aims to investigate how the swedish newspaper Aftonbladet frame terrorist attacks, depending on if the attack took place in the West or the East. Aftonbladet is one of the largest digital news media in Sweden with a large reader base, and was used to gain an understanding of how framing could affect the Swedish reader’s perception of the West and the East in conjunction with terrorism. The study used a critical discourse analysis to investigate four different terrorist attacks, namely four different news articles. Two of these attacks took place in the West; Manchester and Brussels, and two in the East; Kabul and Baghdad. The analysis showed that the different attacks were framed in different ways, were the articles for the attacks in the East showed signs of orientalism and “othering”, which according to previous studies could lead to “islamophobia” and a division between cultures. This study showed that a stereotypic way of thinking still exist in a post-colonial society and is deeply rooted, even in one of Sweden's largest digital news media, Aftonbladet.

La thèse a visé à mieux comprendre les représentations sociales (RS) culinaires de cuisiniers domestiques (cuisiniers non professionnels). Existe-t-il différentes RS de la préparation culinaire ? Si oui, comment identifier ces groupes ayant des RS différentes ? Ainsi, nous nous sommes penchés sur le concept de distance à l’objet (DAO), qui, en interrogeant l’individu sur son niveau de pratique, de connaissance et d’implication, permet d’éclairer le lien entretenu par l’individu avec l’objet (qui est ici la « préparation culinaire ») en soulignant que ce lien est soumis à des variables sociales et psychosociales.Nous nous sommes alors questionnés sur l’intérêt de l’utilisation de la DAO comme variable de segmentation de l’échantillon ad hoc, et en quoi cette DAO serait un dispositif pertinent pour analyser les RS, les pratiques et leur lien étroit.Pour répondre à ces interrogations, avec une stratégie de triangulation, nous avons procédé en deux étapes. La première étape portait sur l’étude des RS de la préparation culinaire et l’impact de la DAO sur celles-ci. La seconde étape portait sur l’étude de la préparation culinaire comme « pratique signifiante » et de l’impact de la DAO sur celles-ci. Elle s’est faite par le biais d’une methode innovante basée sur des observations filmées de cuisiniers domestiques préparant un plat, suivies d’entretiens d’explicitations.L’ensemble de nos résultats nous a permis de mettre en lumière l’intérêt de la DAO comme moyen de segmentation de l’échantillon, ainsi que l’impact de la DAO sur le contenu et l’organisation des RS culinaires. Nos résultats sont discutés au regard des apports théoriques et opérationnels concernant les RS et la DAO. / The thesis aimed to understanding social representations (SR) of domestic culinary chefs (non-professional cooks). Are there different SR of culinary preparation? If so, how to identify these groups with different SR? So we focused on the concept of distance to the object (DO), which, by interviewing the individual on his level of practice, knowledge and involvement, sheds light on the link between the individual and the object (which is here the "culinary preparation") emphasizing that this link is submitted to social and psychosocial variables.We then asked about the interest of the use of DO as ad hoc segmentation variable of the sample, and how this DO would be an appropriate system to analyze SR, practices and their close connectionTo answer these questions, with a strategy of triangulation, we proceeded in two steps. The first step was the study of social representations of culinary preparation and the impact of the distance to the object (DO) on them. The second step was the study of the culinary preparation as "signifying practice" and the impact of CAD on them. It is made through an innovative method based on observations filmed domestic chefs preparing a dish, followed by explications of interviews.All our results allowed us to highlight the interest of the DAO as a means of sample segmenting, and the impact of the distance to the object on the content and structure of culinary social representations. Our results are discussed in terms of theoretical and operational contributions about social representations and distance to the object

Les représentations de la Prusse orientale dans l’Allemagne réunifiée, enjeux politiques et identitaires / Representing East Prussia in reunified Germany : political and identity aspectBesnault, Etienne 05 July 2011 (has links)
La Prusse orientale fait partie des provinces que l’Allemagne perdit en 1945. Cette perte ne fut entérinée définitivement qu’au début des années 1990, lorsque la RFA, pour permettre une réunification rapide, renonça à sa position juridique, selon laquelle le règlement définitif du tracé de ses frontières ne pourrait intervenir que dans le cadre d’un traité de paix mettant officiellement fin à la Seconde Guerre mondiale. En l’absence de traité de ce type en bonne et due forme, ce sont les traités que l’on nomme généralement « Traités de Réunification » qui remplissent ce rôle. Le renoncement officiel et définitif de la RFA à ce qu’elle considérait comme ses droits sur les territoires de l’Oder-Neisse fut diversement accueilli par la société de ’Allemagne réunifiée. La population de l’ancienne RDA ne se sentait pas concernée par un problème réputé ne pas exister dans cet Etat, celle de RFA avait très majoritairement et depuis longtemps accepté la perte des territoires en question ; seules les Associations de réfugiés qui en sont originaires, ainsi que certaines des franges les plus conservatrices, jusqu’à l’extrême-droite, du paysage politique refusèrent, ou refusent encore pour certaines, de parler de la Prusse orientale (allemande) au passé. À travers le traitement public, parfois l’instrumentalisation du sujet par trois grands types d’acteurs, nous nous attachons à déterminer la place qu’occupe dans l’Allemagne réunifiée, directement ou indirectement, la Prusse orientale sur le plan politique et identitaire. Ces grands acteurs sont : • les Réfugiés eux-mêmes, premiers concernés, • les deux grands partis populaires allemands CDU/CSU (conservateur) et SPD (social-démocrate) : depuis le milieu des années 1990, ils sont obligés de se confronter de nouveau à cette thématique qui fait l’objet d’une « résurgence mémorielle » et qui, à ce titre, a réinvesti l’espace public, • les acteurs du système scolaire, « structurateur » identitaire et cristallisateur mémoriel par excellence. / East Prussia belongs to the provinces Germany lost in 1945. This loss was only fully ratified in the early 1990’s, when the FRG gave up its legal position in order to enable a rapid reunification. The permanent renonciation from the FRG to what it considered as its rights over the Oder-Neisse territories had a contrasted effect on the reunified Germany society. The population of the former GDR did not feel concerned about a problem deemed not to exist in this state, whereas the FRG one accepted the loss of those teritories a long time ago. Only both the associations of refugees born in those territories and the most conservative fringes of the society including the extreme right refused or still refuse to talk about (German) East Prussia as an element from the past. Trough the public treatment (which is sometimes an instrumentalisation) of the subject by three main actors, we are focusing on determining the role that East Prussia directly or indirectly plays in reunified Germany. These major actors are : • The refugees themselves, first concerned, • Both major popular German political parties CDU/CSU (conservative) and SPD (social-democrat). Since the mid-1990’s the memory resurgence of the subject has forced them to confront it again, as it’s been taking a new place in the public field. • The school system : a structuring institution par excellence in terms of identity and memory.

Notre enquête entend présenter les enjeux philosophiques soulevés par la physiognomonie, cet art, cette technique, cette pseudoscience qui entend connaître et prétend juger un individu en se fondant sur l’étude de sa complexion physique. Le corpus des textes afférents, hétérogène et protéiforme, s’appuie sur des pans entiers de pratiques et de savoirs anciens quasiment tombés dans l’oubli et qui continuent à nourrir néanmoins l’histoire des représentations. Notre corpus s’étend depuis les origines mésopotamiennes de la physiognomonie jusqu’à l’Age classique. La méthode adoptée est historique et conceptuelle. Elle a permis d’établir que l’histoire de la physiognomonie s’organise autour de deux grands paradigmes : paradigme de l’analogie et paradigme de l’expression, dont il s’agit de montrer l’articulation chronologique et logique. Les schèmes de pensée à l’œuvre étayent une sémiologie et une herméneutique dans différentes directions : médicales, mantiques, esthétiques. L’analyse raisonnée du maillage des classifications et des correspondances que la physiognomonie implique, permet de dessiner les frontières topologiques et symboliques de l’humain, aux confins de la rationalité et de l’imagination. / The purpose of our research is to explore the philosophical issues raised by physiognomy – an art, a technique, a pseudoscience according to which an individual’s inner nature can be revealed and judged on the analysis of his physical features. Our heterogeneous and protean body of references relies on whole panels of practices and ancient skills that have somehow sunk into oblivion but still keep feeding the history of representations. Our body of research is spanning a wide period, ranging from the Mesopotamian origins of physiognomy to the Classical Age. Our method of investigation focuses on the history of ideas and concept analysis. It has allowed us to assert that the history of physiognomy is built on two paradigms: the paradigm of analogy and the paradigm of expression whose chronological and logical articulations are to be defined. The thought processes involved support semiological and hermeneutical approaches that take different directions: medical, ominous and aesthetics ones. An accurate reasoned analysis of the texture of classifications and correspondences woven by physiognomy enables us to draw the topological and symbolical frontiers of the Human, on the fringes of rationality and imagination.

La notion de représentation culturelle n’a pas fait l’objet, jusqu’à présent, d’une analyse approfondie qui aurait pu permettre d’en dégager la spécificité. L’intérêt de cette étude portant sur les représentations culturelles de la folie au Sénégal a permis de délimiter un champ de recherche à l’interface de l’individuel et du collectif par une analyse pluridisciplinaire de type complémentaire et une synthèse interdisciplinaire sous l’angle sociologique.Le recueil et la synthèse des données culturelles traditionnelles de la folie au Sénégal et l’analyse des entretiens au sein de l’Hôpital Fann à Dakar ont permis d’entrevoir l’intégration de référentiels issus de multiples univers de sens sacré/profane, magico-religieux/bio-médical au sein des représentations. Cette complexité des données manifestes et latentes, concernant des représentations différentes, au sein d’un même discours remet en question les grilles de lecture simplifiant l’univers polymorphe et changeant des représentations et rappelle l’importance de l’appréhension et de la compréhension des mécanismes d’évolution culturelle et leur impact sur les acteurs sociaux. / The concept of cultural representation was not the object, until now, of a thorough analysis which could have made it possible to release specificity from it. Interest of this study relating to the cultural representations of the madness in Senegal was to delimit a field of research to the interface of individual and collective by a multi-field analysis of complementary type and an interdisciplinary synthesis from a sociological angle.The collection and the synthesis of the traditional cultural data of the madness in Senegal and the analysis of talks from the Hospital Fann in Dakar made it possible to foresee integration of reference frames resulting from multiple universes from crowned/layman and magic-religious/biomedical direction in the representations. This complexity of the manifest and latent data, concerning different representations, within the same speech calls in question the grids of reading simplifying the polymorphic universe and changing representations and recalls the importance of the apprehension and the comprehension of the mechanisms of cultural evolution and their impact on the social actors.

Boca de Rua : representações sociais sobre população de rua em um jornal comunitárioAlles, Natália Ledur January 2010 (has links)
Esta pesquisa tem como objetivo identificar as representações sociais sobre população de rua existentes no jornal Boca de Rua, veículo de comunicação comunitária produzido por moradores de rua da cidade de Porto Alegre desde o ano 2000. Para que fosse possível uma compreensão mais ampla das representações construídas pelos integrantes do projeto comunicacional, foram analisadas as matérias principais de oito edições do jornal, publicadas entre 2000 e 2009, bem como as representações sociais elaboradas nos discursos individuais de quatro integrantes entrevistados. Como referencial teórico, adotou-se a teoria das representações sociais, proposta pelo psicólogo social Serge Moscovici. A reflexão sobre a situação dos moradores de rua foi baseada principalmente nas ideias de exclusão, conforme pensada por Bader Sawaia, dessemelhança, proposta por Marcel Bursztyn e Cristovam Buarque, redundância, de acordo com Zygmunt Bauman, e estigma, concebida por Erving Goffman. A análise dos jornais selecionados foi realizada a partir da análise de conteúdo seguida por Laurence Bardin, de modo que os trechos dos textos foram enquadrados em três grandes categorias previamente determinadas: pontos de vista e relacionamentos, vida nas ruas e meios de comunicação. Às representações percebidas nos textos foram somadas as idéias sobre população de rua identificadas nas entrevistas. Através deste estudo, pôde-se perceber que, ao encontrarem espaço para participação na produção de um veículo de comunicação, os moradores de rua buscam apresentar suas opiniões e reivindicações, tornando clara a noção de que a vida nas ruas consiste em dificuldades de sobrevivência física, devido à fome, ao frio e às doenças, e também em dificuldades de relacionamento com o restante da população. Ao mesmo tempo em que apontam seus problemas, procuram se afirmar como seres humanos e cidadãos com capacidade de organização e convivência com os outros grupos sociais. É notável, ainda, que os meios de comunicação em geral são pouco tematizados nas reflexões encontradas nas matérias e nas falas dos integrantes. Salienta-se, por fim, que as representações dos moradores de rua como pessoas sem oportunidade de trabalho e como usuários de drogas recebem significativo espaço na análise, estando presentes em mais de uma das categorias utilizadas. / This work aims to identify the homeless population social representations at Boca de Rua newspaper, a communitarian communication vehicle written by homeless people from Porto Alegre since 2000. For allowing a wider understanding of the representations constructed by the communicational project participants, we analyzed eight newspaper editions main subjects, published between the years 2000 and 2009, as well as the social representations elaborated by four interviewed participants on their individual speeches. The social representation theory proposed by the social psychologist Serge Moscovici was adopted as theoretical referential. The reflection about homeless population situation was based mainly on the ideas of exclusion, as thought by Bader Sawaia, unsimilarity, proposed by Marcel Bursztyn and Cristovam Buarque, redundancy, accordingly Zygmunt Bauman, and stigma, conceived by Erving Goffman. The selected newspapers analyses was accomplished based on the content analyses followed by Laurence Bardin, classifying the texts extracts in three large categories previously determined: viewpoints and relationships, life in the streets and communication media. The representations perceived in the texts were added to the homeless population ideas identified in the interviews. Throughout this study, it was possible to comprehend that the homeless population, when being able of participating of a communication vehicle production, attempt to present their opinions and solicitations. It clarifies the notion that life in the streets consists of physical survival difficulties, due to hunger, cold and diseases, and also due to relationship difficulties with the rest of the population. Simultaneously they point their problems, they aim to affirm themselves as human beings and citizens with skills of organization and acquaintance with other social groups. It is notable, moreover, that general communication media is infrequently mentioned in the reflections found in the analyzed newspapers subjects and participants speeches. Finally, it is pointed out that the homeless population representations as people without job opportunities and as drug users have a significant space in the analyses, being present in more than one of the utilized categories.
