Discussão psicanalítica sobre o transtorno e pânico, com estudo de caso / Psychoanalytical discussion about panic disorder with case study

Oliveira, Paulo Cezar de 30 September 2016 (has links)
The main objective of this work is to discuss the place of panic disorder in Freud\'s and post-Freudian psychoanalytic metapsychology. Initially, the panic disorder is presented here under the psychiatric perspective. Afterwards, having its disorder associations with Freud´s constructions about anxiety neurosis in sight, Freud´s anxiety theories will be spoken about having his and Laplanche´s texts as basis. Laplanche, as he criticizes the second anxiety theory of the psychoanalysis father, points out to a possible third anxiety theory as a reflex of the direct implication of the death instinct concept on the first two. Therefore, there are some discussion about Freud´s instinct theories based on Freud´s texts and Garcia-Roza´s and Laplanche´s writings. In this exercise of creating this third anxiety theory there is a strong Laplanche based emphasis on sexuality as a psychoanalysis turning point and a reconstruction of Freud´s supporting theory, leading to a new concept: the generalized seduction. In this process, Klein´s work seeing under concepts such as original masochism and auto-aggression, allowed Laplanche, as he created his seduction theory, to rename the death instinct as sexual death instinct. Thus, Freud´s idea of the anxiety neurosis as consequence of a sexual instinct attack is reformulated by this sexual specification, as Freud´s demoniac sexuality. This part of sexuality is dominated by the sexual death instinct and is the one that excites, turns off and overflows. Subsequently, there will be presented some specific considerations on panic disorder made by national and international post Freudian psychoanalytical authors. A qualitative research based on Turato will be shown in order to produce reality based data to be articulated with psychoanalytical theories on panic disorder and the anxiety neurosis theories raised by Laplanche´s metapsychological discussion. This research consists of a unique case study systematized in a comprehensive diagnosis process, followed by psychotherapy. The psych diagnosis occurs in two semi guided interviews, followed by a Desenho-estoria procedure. The psychoanalytical psychotherapy sessions´ reports were discussed in group supervision. The collected data are analyzed based on Turato´s content analysis perspective and the referenced studies on Desenho-Estoria procedure, specially emphasizing Tardivo´s. In this analysis, psychoanalytical concepts and tools such as unconscious manifestations, anxiety handle, transference, countertransference, interpretation and holding are used as references. At last, the data is articulated with the theory, as highlighted by Sigal, pointing out to Laplanches consideration about the implantation and intromission of the enigmatic signifier. Therefore, creating and understanding about the panic disorders installation. There are also some discussion about specific management in order to confront psychotic spots formed by unassimilated remains, which the primal repression fail marks, common in patients that manifest panic disorder

L’errance psychique des sujets SDF : le manteau cloacal, l’effondrement scénique et la séduction / The psychic wandering of homeless subjects : cloacal coat, scenic collapse and seduction

Mathieu, Franck 04 November 2011 (has links)
This work concerns the psychic life of the populations without fixed residence, excluded or the seriously precarious subjects. In spite of the various profiles strewing this public, the wandering is not an epiphenomenon occurring around psychiatric pathologies but a major, singular psychic disease non-reducible with other nosographic entities. It is a psychodynamic configuration which takes its origin in incapacity to place itself in the primary object, i.e. to feel contained in its concern and its function of daydream, creating a « black hole » into which unceasingly the subject is likely to fall. The defensive mechanisms associated with this psychodynamic have effects on the externality: the externality is a prism where space, the body, the sensoriality and the object are articulated. So usually, the externality functions in a quiet way. But in the psychic wandering it appears noisy and symptomatic so that various spaces which constitute the externality mix. To analyze these mixings up of the externality, the clinical investigation was carried out on the fields of the great exclusion by the participation in psychiatry-precariousness mobile teams and Samu Social, but also by the creation of therapeutic group into social structures. Presentation of the clinical practices and the work of social accompaniment aiming to make emerge a durable and safe bond belonged to the concerns of this research. At the end of this work, two concepts are proposed: the Cloacal Coat, which can be defined as an anesthetic and stimulative psychic envelope in a search for contact with the primary object; and the Scenic Collapse, which attempt to force by the use of the sensoriality and a certain form of seduction, a « psychic residence » in the object.

The identity affirmation in the \'quilombola\'. Discourse through the semiotics perspective: the case of the black dolls from \'Quilombo de Conceição das Crioulas\'

Vilela, Ilca Suzana Lopes 18 December 2014 (has links)
In this thesis, we have analyzed the quilombola discourse. Our theoretical object was the construction of the meaning effect of identity affirmation in the relation with the strategy of manipulation by seduction the empiric object were the black dolls from Quilombo de Conceição das Crioulas, which is located in Salgueiro-PE. We have aimed at: discussing what is semiotic identity, how this effect is textually and discursively produced and what the subjects identity affirmation means; analyzing how the meaning effect of identity is constructed in our corpus; collating the identity affirmation with the semiotics of manipulation; reflecting about the concept of manipulation and its deployment in greimasian semiotics and showing, in the corpus, the management of the meaning by the intentionality with which, implicitly, the enunciator engenders a positive end-image of the enunciatee, and by the passionate surplus which overtakes the discourse. The results of the theoretical discussion and its incidence in the analysis of the corpus show that the semiotic identity is a simulacrum and that syntaxic elements which produce repetition are needed for the effect of its affirmation. In the discourse of the dolls, this is realized by isotopy, aspectualization, tensivity. These elements, associated with the structure of manipulation, build the strategy of seduction aiming the adhesion to the discourse, which, by the tension between wanting and having to do, put the ethic and the esthetic in movement. Notably, repeating to remember and seducing to influence have a lot of importance in the semiotics of the dolls.

Shakespeare et la voix / Voice in Shakespeare's plays

Folest, Estelle 23 October 2009 (has links)
In Shakespeare’s plays, the voice is an agent of seduction and desire as well as a source of inspiration which animates the soul, moves the heart and arouses emotions. It has the power to civilize men and form harmonious bonds between them, but it may also be a weapon used to curse and kill. At theatres such as the Globe and the Blackfriars which were designed to produce the best acoustic conditions, the actor’s voice resounded and blended with a multiplicity of musical effects and noises to compose soundscapes that the audience was meant to hear and decipher.

Elements for a Libidinal Theory of Images

Nijhuis, Marta 22 October 2018 (has links)
This research is the outcome of a montage intertwining contemporary art, film, and advertisement images with philosophical theory, following the direction set by two aesthetic figures that have traditionally been related to the notion of image, namely the mirror and the veil. What emerges is an unprecedented aesthetic figure, i. e., the prismatic veil, which, bouncing between the mirror and the veil, brings along an anti-dualistic interpretation of the world of the visible inspired by the Merleau-Pontian notion of flesh understood as a differential fabric in which things and beings only give themselves as differences with respect to all other things and beings. In the prismatic veil, the flesh is filtered through the Deleuzian notion of « crystal-image », and hence enriched with a faceted and multiple temporality that echoes Deleuze’s own reading of Nietzsche’s eternal return, and hence characterising it with a fundamental libidinal approach, which, in this study, is analysed with a particular emphasis on Lacan.By reacting to the Merleau-Pontian notion of flesh and to the mythical temporality that Merleau-Ponty himself associates to it, the temporality of the crystal-image makes the figure of the prismatic veil emerge as a sort of « flesh 2.0 », hence realising a contemporary theoretical tool aiming at favouring the understanding of the increasingly immersive and enveloping features of the present experience of images, including the implications that such an experience implies as for the identity of the viewer and for the perception of truth that is bond to his/her/their gaze. All this, without forgetting the aspect of seduction that characterises the visual universe, and hence confirming the intimate connection that intertwines images and desire.

Condom influence strategies among university students

Majara, Tsepang David January 2009 (has links)
This study investigated influence strategies used by university students to negotiate condom use. The study examined the seven condom influence strategies (CISs) -withholding sex, direct request, seduction, relationship conceptualizing, risk information, deception, and pregnancy prevention- used by heterosexually active male and female students. The sample comprised of 156 first year students (male=44 and female=112). Statistically significant correlations were found among all the condom influence strategies subscales. Results suggest that the university students influence their partners in all identified condom influence strategies and the risk information strategy holds the most promise of all the strategies.

Rape in Revolutionary America, 1760-1815

Snidal, Michelle 30 August 2021 (has links)
Rape had an indelible effect on the American Revolutionary era. Using trial testimonies and depositions, newspapers, and literary sources, this thesis argues that there was a level of continuity between peacetime and wartime rape characterized by the assaulters’ modus operandi and rape’s ideological exploitation. Eighteenth-century Anglo-American society dictated that rape, or “carnal knowledge of a woman forcibly against her will,” was only a crime against virtuous white women. The gendered and racialized ways pre-revolutionary society identified and prosecuted rape influenced how rapists conducted their assaults. Women had to prove their sexual morality, that penile penetration and male ejaculation occurred, and that they sought help immediately after the assault to prosecute their attackers. During the war, rape became an important metaphor. Wartime publishers and propagandists used reports and victim testimonies as evidence of British immorality and to justify political independence. The rape of America subsumed individual atrocities. The nationalization of women’s sexual virtue continued into the new Republic. Artists and writers memorialized the Revolution through explicitly sexualized narratives and sentimental novels that emphasized female sexual morality. Women’s sexual virtue was linked with the stability of the Republic. This thesis utilizes a diverse historiography to highlight the intersectional correlations between rape and eighteenth-century patriarchal power in America. / Graduate / 2022-08-26

Le besoin de mentir : aspects cliniques et enjeux théoriques / The need to lie : clinical aspects end theoretical issues

Chapellon, Sébastien 08 November 2013 (has links)
This research tries to understand the unconscious logics that preside over the need to lie. It analyses the type of psychological vulnerability a subject counter-invests as well as the origin of the unconscious communication he establishes with those he misleads. After having drawn up an inventory of the existing metapsychological approaches, the author examines the psychological functions of lying by taking into account its role during the development of the child. Then the examination of some adult cases that occurred in a homeless resource center will explain how, some subjects protect themselves from a harassment victim background and have others live the same experience with their lies. Finally, the author examines how cases of teenagers observed within the framework of childhood protection contribute to the analysis of the intersubjective dynamics impulsed by this acte-parlé. This work demonstrates that even though this clinical configuration is difficult to observe, if the psychologist would take it into account, it could help him understand how a patient expresses a pain that he could not tell by other means.

[en] EROS AND THE HOUSE: POLITICAL SPECULATIONS OF PLEASURE AND SEDUCTION AT CASA DAS CANOAS / [pt] EROS E A CASA: ESPECULAÇÕES POLÍTICAS DO PRAZER E DA SEDUÇÃO NA CASA DAS CANOAS

MARIANA VALADAO MENEGUETTI 30 December 2021 (has links)
[en] This dissertation proposes to open a speculative path of imagination about the modern architecture of Casa das Canoas (1951-1953), by the Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer (1907-2012), having some events as an anchor. Different from a traditional architectural project analysis, this research is developed from its relations, male affections, the construction of a modern body, its vision of sexuality and its gender fetish. In this sense, not only architecture but the media through it was manifested – drawings, photography, sculpture, landscaping or publishing – demonstrate the projective framework of modern human behavior and the construction of society at the time. These media have a fundamental role in forming a modern imagination built according to pleasure and desire. This research invites you to reflect on these statutes and consider objects as constructed bodies, as well as to reflect on the norms that govern bodies and discourses according to male behaviors and cultural codes. I start from the consideration that modern architectural practice was dominated by patriarchal thinking and, consequently, designed spaces were imagined from male fantasies. In this process, a critical narrative of the violence of this imaginary is present in part of modern Brazilian architecture and perpetuated until today.
