台灣半導體產業協會(2005)對台灣主要IC公司營運狀況所做的調查統計結果所發表「台灣半導體產業對國家的貢獻」研究報告顯示:IC產業無論在產值、營運附加價值、創匯收入、投資、政府投資獲利、所帶動的週邊效益…等,都有穩定到持續成長之表現,為台灣深具競爭力之產業。在先進半導體製造技術進步之下,「智慧工廠自動化」技術成為半導體製造廠商的核心能力的重要部分。根據資策會市場情報中心的1998年分析研究,「智慧工廠自動化」系統技術創新屬於「系統整合」類型的軟體創新。
本研究主要採用文獻探討以及個案訪談作為主要的研究方法,先藉由文獻探討建立起論文整體之架構以及相關理論之說明定義所需探討之研究變項,之後再透過台灣半導體製造標竿企業的六個系統整合專案訪談加以實證。本研究以研究「系統整合專案類型」、「技術知識特質」、與「組織架構特質」對「系統整合創新平台」的關聯,來探討台灣半導體智慧工廠系統整合軟體開發的管理作為,說明所觀察現象的具體意義,以及背後的思考邏輯。而可得到以下初步之研究結論:
一、系統整合專案類型與技術知識特質
1.不同的系統整合專案類型,有不同的技術知識特質。製程發展攸關類型專案,技術知識的多元性較高。資訊系統改造類型專案,技術知識的內隱性較低、多元性較低、標準化程度較高、路徑相依程度較高。
2.製程發展攸關專案在不同階段可能因應技術開發標的不同,會有不同的技術知識特質。早期發展階段將現有的作業流程「自動化」,所以技術知識內隱性為較低。在後期發展階段以採用新技術使系統「智慧化」,所以技術知識內隱性為較高。
二、技術知識特質與系統整合的創新平台
3.系統整合專案的技術知識的內隱程度差異,使外部知識的來源有所差異。系統整合專案的技術知識的內隱程度愈低,外部知識的來源愈傾向專業廠商。系統整合專案的技術知識的內隱程度愈高,外部知識的來源愈傾向大學等研究機構。
4.系統整合專案的技術知識的多元程度愈高,使用者參與程度愈傾向「共同開發」。多元程度愈低,使用者參與程度愈傾向「交付模式或是隔牆交易」。
三、組織結構特質與系統整合的創新平台
5.台灣半導體製造業隨著組織正式化的程度提高,傾向將跨部門的整合溝通活動,予以正式的組織化。這些組織的成員也是來自各個知識領域。
6.在台灣半導體製造企業內的正式組織與臨時性的專案組織之間,選擇「虛擬組織」結構以吸收、創造、積蓄、與擴散重要的跨部門技術知識。
四、其他發現
7.整合跨部門知識領域來創造出新的知識,進而由新知識來創造出新的軟體系統。
8.製程發展攸關類型系統整合專案之技術知識內隱程度愈低,使用者需求定義書對於專案的成功就愈重要。反之,技術知識內隱程度愈高,使用者需求定義書對於專案的成功就愈不相關。
關鍵字:半導體製造、系統整合、智慧工廠自動化、技術知識特質、組織結構特質、創新平台 / Taiwan Semiconductor Industry Association (2005) delivered a report “The national contribution of Taiwan semiconductor industry”, which claimed that IC industry is very critical to Taiwan economic growth and a very competitive industry in the world. In 2004, Taiwan was the first in IC foundry industry with more than 70% market share, the second large cluster of IC design houses with market share 28.2%, and the third in the DRAM industry in the word.
In recent years, “Intelligent Fab Automation” technology has become the crucial component of the core competence of nanotechnology IC manufacturing. Based on the software classification of 1998 Institute for Information Industry, “Intelligent fab automation” is one kind of “System Integration” computer software innovation. It includes the advanced Manufacturing Execution System (MES), Advanced Process Control (APC), Advanced Material Handling System (AMHS), equipment automation systems, Engineering Data Analysis (EDA), and etc. “Intelligent fab automation” builds up the proprietary manufacturing capability.
This thesis attempts to take an exploratory study of the relationship between characteristics of system integration project, characteristics of technological knowledge, characteristics of organization structure, and innovation platform on the benchmark semiconductor company in Taiwan. This thesis adopts reference and case study as the main research approach. It sets up the thesis whole structure by reference and relevant theories to define the factors. Afterward, to demonstrate the thesis structure by interview six system integration software projects of that company. There are primary figures found in the thesis:
1.The relationship between characteristics of system integration projects and characteristics of technological knowledge
a)Different kinds of system integration projects have different characteristics of technological knowledge. The manufacturing-process relevant system development projects associate with high degree of technology diversity. The IT system reengineering projects associate with low degree of technology diversity and manufacturing technology advance.
b)The manufacturing-process relevant system development project consists of different development stages that have different technology development targets. In the early stage, the development target is procedure automation with codified technology knowledge. In the later stage, it turns to intelligent system with tacit technology knowledge.
2.The relationship between characteristics of technological knowledge and innovation platform
a)Different kinds of system integration projects have different types of project organizations. The IT system reengineering projects tend to adopt the “Function Team” to operate, but the manufacturing-process relevant projects tend to adopt a team type between the “Heavyweight Team” and the “Lightweight Team”.
b)The IT system reengineering projects are not different from the manufacturing-process relevant projects in their joint problem resolution ways. They both tend to adopt “Experiments and Prototypes”. Projects with higher degree of tacit technology knowledge tend more to adopt prototypes and experiments to resolve problems jointly.
c)System integration project with codified technology knowledge tend to collaborate with professional software house. However, those projects with tacit technology knowledge tend to collaborate with research institutes, such as university labs.
d)Projects with higher technology diversity require more the end-user management and IT management to conduct the project vision together, and project team will consists of more different kinds of skills. Project manager tends to hire a manager with T-type or A-type management skills.
e)Degree of technology diversity determines degree of user engagement in development. Projects with high degree of technology diversity tend to engage user in the joint development mode. Projects with low degree of technology diversity tend to engage user in the “Offering Mode”.
f)All project teams tend to share knowledge internally through the “project meeting” regularly.
g)If there is no sound industry standard, Taiwan semiconductor manufacturing company tends to define its own internal standard in order to reduce development cost.
3.The relationship between characteristics of organization structure and innovation platform
a)High degree of organization formalization associates with the effort to formalize the communication and coordination activities across organizations.
b)High-Tech manufacturing company tends to establish the virtualized organization before a formalized organization to absorb, create, accumulate, and diffuse cross-function technology knowledge.
c)High degree of organization formalization associates with “structural” intenal knowledge sharing sessions.
4.Others
a)New technology knowledge development leads to new system development.
b)URD (User Requirement Definition) document becomes less important for the new system development projects, which associate with tacit technology knowledge. So does for project success.
There are primary recommendations for managers in the relevant high-tech manufacturing industries:
a)Understand that characteristics of technology determine technology innovation behaviors.
b)Develop the manufacturing-process relevant technogies in the step-by-step approach - “procedure standardization”, “procedure automation”, and “intelligent system”.
c)Encourage prototyping and experiements.
d)Practively develop leaders with diversed skills.
e)Follow or build the internal technology standards.
f)Establish the dedicated organization to absorb, create, accumulate, and diffuse cross-function technology knowledge.
g)Choose the software development model carefully.

Os resíduos urbanos descartados de forma irregular constituem um problema sério, principalmente nas grandes cidades, causando entupimento de bueiros e drenagem com conseqüentes inundações, sujeira e transmissão de doenças tais como leptospirose e dengue além de ser um estorvo para o trânsito e acarretarem gastos para a Prefeitura. Por outro lado, reciclar este material é uma fonte de receitas e um gerador de empregos. A Geovisualização Analítica pode ser de grande auxílio para a análise desse problema complexo e para a tomada de decisão. Com essa motivação, a presente dissertação procura fornecer uma visão geral sobre o estado da arte quanto a conceitos e pesquisas em Geovisualização (GVis) e Processamento Analítico (OLAP e SOLAP). Apresenta também processos, metodologias e tecnologias que foram utilizadas no desenvolvimento de um protótipo de um sistema analítico de informações aplicado à área de gestão da coleta seletiva de resíduos sólidos recicláveis em ambiente urbano. Este protótipo, efetivamente implantado, combinou navegação e consulta para recuperar informações através de seleções espaciais e alfanuméricas. Através de exemplos foi mostrado que este tipo de solução auxilia gestores nos processos de exploração, análise e tomada de decisão. / Domestic waste illegally disposed constitute a serious problem, especially in large cities, causing clogging of drains and drainage with subsequent flooding, dirt and transmission of diseases such as leptospirosis and dengue as well as being a hindrance to traffic and would entail city hall costs. Moreover, recycle this material is a source of revenue and a generator of jobs. The Analytical Geovisualization can be of great help in the analysis of this complex problem and the decision-making. With this motivation, this paper seeks to provide an overview of the state of the art as the concepts and research in Geovisualization (GVis) and Analytical Processing (OLAP and SOLAP). It also presents processes, methodologies and technologies that were used in developing a prototype of an analytical system applied to the area of selective collection information management of recyclable solid waste in urban environments. This prototype, effectively deployed, combined navigation and query to retrieve information through spatial and alphanumeric selections. Through examples it was shown that this type of solution helps managers in operating procedures, analysis and decision making.

The purpose of this study is the phenomenon of agroindustrialization and its impacts on the agricultural producers integrated to the agroindustrial complex of aviculture and the rural producers integrated to the complex agroindustrial of pig s farmers, residents in the twelve communities of the São João do Oeste city, Santa Catarina. The central objective of the work is to understand the process of loss of the decision power on the direction of the properties of integrated agricultures. The work will detach also, the sociocultural transformations resulting from the system integration. The method selected for the work was the study of multiple cases, including contractual documentary analysis and bibliographic research. The results were grouped into six parts: an introduction is the first part, after that, to initiate the development, it is detached and characterized the settling of the region with the formation of homogeneous groups under ethnic conceptions and governed by religious certainties; the following refers to the rupture caused by the transition of the settling for the modernization of the productive process through investments and external financings; in the fourth part the the main features of the system integration are addressed, how it had been installed in the region and the loss, decurrent of the implanted system and of the power of decision of agriculturists, in the fifth part the characteristics of the São João do Oeste City are presented and the results of the field research, and, summarizing the work, a conclusive synthesis is made. As a result of the research and as highlighted in the course of the dissertation, the subject of the rupture is evidenced, in several aspects, in the life of the studied agriculturists: rupture in the property s organization, rupture in the family structure and the rupture in the relation of the agriculturists with the community. / Esta dissertação objetiva entender as mudanças ocorridas no cotidiano dos agricultores inseridos no sistema de integração com a implantação dos complexos agroindustriais na região do extremo-oeste catarinense. O objeto de estudo é o fenômeno da agroindustrialização e seus impactos sobre os produtores rurais integrados aos complexos agroindustriais da avicultura e da suinocultura, residentes nas doze comunidades do município de São João do Oeste, Santa Catarina. O objetivo central do trabalho é entender o processo de perda do poder de decisão sobre os rumos das propriedades dos agricultores integrados. O trabalho irá focar, também, as transformações socioculturais resultantes do sistema de integração. O método selecionado para o trabalho foi o estudo de casos múltiplos, incluindo análise documental contratual e pesquisa bibliográfica. Os resultados foram agrupados em seis partes: uma introdução constitui a primeira parte; em seguida, para iniciar o desenvolvimento, é destacada e caracterizada a colonização da região com a formação de núcleos homogêneos sob concepções étnicas e regidos por convicções religiosas; a parte seguinte trata da ruptura acarretada pela transição da colonização para a modernização do processo produtivo através de investimentos e de financiamentos externos; na quarta parte são abordadas as principais características do sistema de integração, a forma como ele se instalou na região e a perda, decorrente do sistema implantado, do poder de decisão dos agricultores; na quinta parte são apresentadas as características do município de São João do Oeste e os resultados da pesquisa de campo; e, sumarizando o trabalho, faz-se uma síntese conclusiva. Como corolário da pesquisa realizada e como destaque no decorrer da dissertação, evidencia-se o tema da ruptura, em vários aspectos, na vida dos agricultores estudados: ruptura na organização da propriedade, ruptura na estrutura familiar e ruptura na relação dos agricultores com a comunidade.

Die vorliegende Arbeit beschreibt die Entwicklung von Sensoren in einer neuen, großserienfähigen Technologie. Mit dem Mehrkomponentenmikrospritzgießverfahren werden mechanische Sensorstrukturen aus (faserverstärktem) Kunststoff an polymere piezoelektrische Wandler angebunden. Die hergestellten Aufnehmer können über die Weiterverarbeitung mit Hybridtechnologien für die Strukturintegration eingesetzt werden. Diese Dissertation stellt Entwurfsmethoden und Modelle zur Vorausberechnung der neuartigen Sensoren bereit, die zur Qualifizierung der neuen Technologie benötigt werden. Dazu werden bekannte Modellierungsansätze angewandt und wesentliche Erweiterungen für die praktische Nutzung erarbeitet. Entwurfsrelevante technologieabhängige Kenngrößen, wie die elastischen Eigenschaften der verarbeiteten Werkstoffe und die geometrischen Dimensionen der hergestellten Sensorstrukturen werden untersucht und deren Einfluss auf den Entwurfsprozessdargelegt. Die hergestellten Sensoren werden in ihrer Grundfunktion messtechnisch charakterisiert und die System- und Strukturintegration vorgestellt. / The presented work describes the development of sensors in a novel technology approach feasible for large-scale production. By using the multicomponent microinjection molding process, mechanical sensor structures out of (fiber-reinforced) polymers are joined with piezoelectric polymer transducers. The fabricated sensors can be processed further with hybrid manufacturing technologies and adapted for structure integration. This thesis introduces design methods and models for the preliminary calculation of the novel sensors, which are required for a technology qualification. Therefore, existing modelling approaches adapted and essentially extended for practical use. Design relevant parameters related to the technology like the elastic properties of the applied materials or the geometric dimensions of the manufactured sensor structures are characterized and the system and structure integration of the sensors is presented.

Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) has been the traditional approach for configuring and monitoring network devices, but its limitations in security and automation have driven the exploration of alternative solutions. The Network Configuration Protocol (NETCONF) and Yet Another Next Generation (YANG) data modeling language significantly improve security and automation capabilities. This thesis aims to investigate the feasibility of implementing a NETCONF server on the Anybus CompactCom (ABCC) Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) Security module, an embedded device with limited processing power and memory, running on a custom operating system, and using open source projects with MbedTLS as the cryptographic primitive library. The project will assess implementing a YANG model to describe the ABCC’s configurable interface, connecting with a NETCONF client to exchange capabilities, monitoring specific attributes or interfaces on the device, and invoking remote procedure call (RPC) commands to configure the ABCC settings. The goal is to provide a proof of concept and contribute to the growing trend of adopting NETCONF and YANG in the industry, particularly for the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) platform of Hardware Meets Software (HMS).

SCADA-system (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) har under de senaste decennierna använts i stor utsträckning, med utmärkta resultat för nätverksdrift och -förvaltning. Kunder ställer emellertid krav på att SCADA-system ska kunna integrera externa komponenter för att möjliggöra utveckling av befintliga och nya affärsprocesser. Det innebär att dessa system utvecklas från en monolitisk infrastruktur till en löst kopplad och flexibel arkitektur. Således har nya behov uppstått för att förbättra systemets interoperabilitet, minska komplexiteten och förbättra underhållet. Föreliggande masterprojekt presenterar ett ramverk för att förutsäga systems interoperabilitetet (IPF); ett ramverk som stöder arkitekturprocessen under de tidiga stadierna av produktutveckling. Vidare har arbetet undersökt några alternativa arkitekturer, vilka har modellerats och verifierats med hjälp av ovannämnda ramverk. En första konceptuell arkitektur har utvecklats för att förbättra interoperabiliteten hos interna system, för att reducera kopplingen mellan det grundläggande SCADA-systemet och Energy Management-systemet (EMS). Därefter genererades en andra arkitektur som möjliggör integration av externa komponenter för att främja den externa interoperabiliteten. Resultat visar att de föreslagna arkitekturerna är korrekta (enligt IPF) och systemets driftskompatibilitet förbättras. Vidare förefaller den slutligt föreslagna lösningen vara mindre komplex än den nuvarande arkitekturen på lång sikt, men det skulle behövas en större insats och väsentliga förändringar för att uppgradera systemarkitekturen. / SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems have been widely used during the last decades delivering excellent results for the power network operation and management. However, some current customer requirements are for SCADA systems to integrate external components in order to perform advanced power network studies and develop both existing and new business processes. This novel viewpoint will make these systems evolve from a monolithic infrastructure towards a loosely coupled and flexible architecture. Hence, new needs have arisen with the aim of improving the system interoperability, reducing the complexity and enhancing the maintainability. This master´s thesis project presents an Interoperability Prediction Framework (IPF), that supports the architecture design process during the early stages of product development. In addition, this work has also investigated some alternative architectures, which have been modelled and verified using the previously mentioned framework. A first conceptual architecture has been designed to improve the internal system interoperability, reducing the coupling between the basic SCADA and the Energy Management System (EMS). Later, a second architecture that allows the integration of external components has been introduced to promote the external interoperability. Results show that the proposed architectures are correct (according to the IPF) and the interoperability of the system is improved. Furthermore, initial conclusions suggest that the final proposed solution would be less complex than the current architecture in the long term, although a large effort and substantial changes would be needed to upgrade the system architecture.

Design and evaluation of a visual rapid prototyping environment in an existing smart home platformHamada, Skander January 2017 (has links)
Recent advances in the field of Internet of Things (IoT) are placing its own vision, as a platform of interconnected services and devices, at the heart of the smart home concept. This consolidation promises a new wave of innovative products designed in the open, and in which the user takes center stage starting from the very first steps. Therefore, researchers as well as product designers in these increasingly related fields are now tasked with a more complex mission when investigating user behavior. In this thesis we consider rapid prototyping as the upcoming standard process for investigating user interactions in the future smart home. Although past research contributed with several self-contained solutions (built from scratch) to allow such investigations, no accounts were found tackling the problem from our perspective, in which the focus is on how to enable rapid prototyping in an existing proprietary smart home platform by using open standards, software and hardware. To answer this question, we conducted our research with participation of academic researchers and professional designers in the context of an academic and industrial partnership, in an ongoing smart home research project. We used an approach based on the design science research process in combination with the user centered design (UCD) and agile software development methodologies. During this thesis we performed an end to end design process starting from ideation to implementation and evaluation; an architectural blueprint was proposed and a working prototype of our visual smart home rapid prototyping environment (SHRPE) was implemented and tested. The obtained results demonstrate the feasibility of enabling visual rapid prototyping capabilities in an existing smart home platform, by using the system integration process to introduce available open standards, software and hardware tools into the platform. In addition, evaluation results of user testing confirmed that using UCD to iteratively capture user needs in such complex context is a solid approach.

(TMD) resulting in funding growth from tens of millions of dollars at the time of the
Gulf War to $1.7 Billion in 1994. The Ballistic Missile Defense Organization
(BMDO) has developed a Theater Missile Defense test and evaluation program that
will assess technological feasibility and the degree to which system functionality and
performance meet technical and operational requirements. The complexity of the
TMD program necessitates a comprehensive test program which includes flight
testing, ground testing, and modeling and simulation. This article will provide and
overview the requirements and capabilities needed to satisfy these requirements. The
data processing, and telemetry communities will play a major role in providing the
expertise to support the development of the nation’s future Theater Missile Defense
capabilities.
