Prado, Fernando Leme do 09 November 2007 (has links)

No. of bitstreams: 1 Fernando Leme do Prado.pdf: 563768 bytes, checksum: dc9f75a0e842b29815957f5fcec4ac87 (MD5) Previous issue date: 2007-11-09 / The focus of the present work is project methodology specifically, the methodology of integrating projects such as practiced by the College of Technology Professor Luiz Rosa , in Jundiaí, State of São Paulo, Brazil. Its objective is to reflect about the teaching practices adopted in the undergraduate programs in technology offered by that institution. Reflection is conducted in the light of the guiding principles of action research, in one of its variants, known as Investigación-Acción (Carr e Kemmis,1988; MacTaggart, 1988; e Latorre 2003). The strategies of this variant are non-cartesian, and, therefore, better applicable to non-linear systems. The question of which pedagogical practices are most appropriate to the programs in technology offered by the institution, given the competencies and skills that the social and productive environment requires today, is the starting-point of this reflection. It is proposed, in answer to this question, that an analysis of the procedures adopted by the actors involved in the projects (students, professors and coordinators of different academic areas and disciplines) can, when guided by theoretical frameworks open to uncertainty, unveil the principles of a complex methodology that can be applied, with good results, to any programs of technology. The present study, based on the tools of action research and on the theoretical assumptions of the General Systems Theory (Bunge and Vieira), of the eco-systemic paradigm (Moraes) and of the theory of complex thought (Morin), has shown that project methodologies evolved from interdisciplinary projects (first phase) into integrating projects (second phase), and, presently, show a tendency to move into a third phase, still under construction, named bureau of integrating projects.

The analysis of the work of the School VILA culminates in a Web Curricular composed of three axes: Take care of Being, the Caring Means Social and Caring Environment. The daily activities of arts, theater, crafts, music, body´s expression, along with laboratories experiences in vegetable garden, medicinal herbal plantation, garden, fauna, health and nutrition, recycling of waste and alternative technologies seek to promote a significant learning from its 380 Students of Kindergarten and Elementar School. The School´s main goal is the human being integral growing and less fragmented, being sensitive to social and environmental causes and able to act in its context, aiming at social transformation. To verify if this goal is reached or not (its aspects and different degrees), the research was made with 21 former students, now adults. These former students were interviewed and gave testimonies about what actually learned in School VILA and still bring in their daily life. Were selected the following categories for consideration: coexistence in human diversity, ecological awareness and attitude and the care with the body, creativity and artistic expression; social acting. The data were analyzed from the Grounded Theory under an eco-systemic focus. In order to facilitate the process of analysis-synthesis in Grounded Theory was used the software CHIC (Classification Hiérarchique Implicative et Cohésitive), seeking to establish the highest number of significant relationships among the data / Trata-se da análise dos resultados da prática pedagógica de 26 anos da Escola VILA, em Fortaleza, que carrega em si características do que viria a ser uma educação transdisciplinar e eco-sistêmica.

Toward a predominantly male analysis of the annoyance/rage continuum in intimate heterosexual relationships

Joffe, Marc Gavin 06 1900 (has links)
This thesis operates, unashamedly, from the premise that every act of criticism involves a self-reflexive gesture of one's own concerns and ideological imprintings. For this reason Chapter One establishes the writer's own involvement - both autobiographical and theoretical - in notions of male rage and the 'working through' of these concerns. Chapter Two conducts an overview of male rage and the extant systemic literature on the subject. It sets out the various positions on the subject and posits the importance of gender (over generation) in the praxis of therapy. Furthermore, it explores the possibility that the male is equally, but differently, troubled by the hegemonic forces of patriarchy as is the woman. Without diminishing the legitimacy of the woman's experience in the face of male rage, the argument is forwarded that the male is caught in a similar struggle but without the feminine articulatory resources. This chapter details the lack of male power in the face of his supposed muscular omnipotence. Seminal analytic approaches to the question of gender are raised in Chapter Three. Working through Freud, Klein, Lacan and Masters and Johnson an attempt is made to plot the 'evolution' of the feminine and the masculine. Central to this debate is the bi-polarization of gender relations within the same sex (biology/construction) and without (phallic/vaginal, clitoral, passive/active). What emerges is that femininity is bi-focal and that the woman has more resources at her disposal that hitherto acknowledged. While the woman is always double - as both clitoral and vaginal, as lover and mother- it appears that male sexuality is far more precarious than generally perceived. It is this dis-ease on the part of the male that translates itself into envy and, with it, the need to denigrate and belittle woman as the object of that envy. In Chapter 4 an attempt is made to overlap the seemingly divergent fields of analytic and systemic methodologies via the involvement of the therapist in the eco-system of analysis. The substantial role of the therapist -- and the coercive forces placed on him/her by the couple -- is used to modify Elkaim's model and to introduce the need for a telling of the particular stories that concentrate on the unique narratives of the warring couple rather than the patriarchal regime under which these stories are constrained. Before encountering these narratives an essay is made at establishing a methodology of sorts. Newton's scientific formulations are used in order to question the binary opposition that has been, historically, established between quantitative (male) and qualitative (female) methodologies. In the process of questioning this binary opposition it becomes clear that any form of objectifying approach constitutes a refuge from the messiness that is intrinsic to the therapeutic process. The experimental methodology that is posited is precisely one that engages in the narratives of male violence - four extracts are considered, each exposing different articulations of male violence. The question of female subjectivity (and the attendant power of the sorority) is returned to in light of these stories. Central to this section is the notion that male subjectivity is far more convoluted - perhaps more that the feminine counterpart - than initially conceived. The original identification with the (m)other forever displaces him in that the later identification with the father remains distant and contrived. For the purposes of maintaining the dialogic nature of this work, a feminist appraisal of the rage narratives concludes the thesis. Don Quixote is used, by way of an Epilogue, to offer three representations of male subjectivity and to look towards alternative subject positions for the male under patriarchy. / Psychology / D.Litt. et Phil. La conservation des milieux marins en droit international et droit de l'union européenne / Marine areas conservation in international law and European union law

García Cáceres, Danilo Vicente 15 June 2015 (has links)
In an era when every element in our society can be monetized, this research examining the conservation of marine environment in European union and International Law will lead a holistic incursion in environmental law which will include a legal and a socio-eco-systemic approach to the conservation and the sustainable management of marine areas. This study provides a legal analysis of key issues: maritime boundary delimitations, marine resources and management of protected marine areas. It will underline the need for a new type of ocean governance involving an increased implication of socio-political stakeholders. Participation, access to information and environmental justice appear, now more than ever, as the main tools to ensure marine areas conservation and, ultimately, to safeguard human rights. The analysis of international efforts to fight the pollution of marine areas, through recourse to international and European union law is led against its various causes (operational, accidental or telluric pollutions) as well as their consequences. An analysis of available tools to better guarantee maritime security and safety - including through a study of maritime piracy - will allow for a comprehensive and prospective view of some of the international and European union legislations regarding illicit maritime acts and harmful acts against marine environment.

Conflicted custody: the unfolding of a professional problem-determined system

Fasser, Robyn Lesley 01 1900 (has links)
With the maturation of the child custody investigative process, the role of investigators and the process of these investigations have come under increasing scrutiny. The investigators are expected to be objective, neutral, and professional while following procedures that conform to model standards. However, this assumption of a lack of bias has been largely overlooked in the literature regarding the investigative process. It is assumed that investigators should self-monitor to ensure that their stance is objective and neutral. Furthermore, this position of neutrality and objectivity is assumed to be intuitive and natural. By using a case study, this thesis investigates and describes the process of a child custody investigation predicated on a constructivist epistemology. It highlights the impossibility of any investigator to be objective and neutral in any investigation automatically, regardless of the procedures and methods employed. The thesis highlights the participant observer status of investigators. An aim of the thesis is thus to sensitise investigators to this inevitable vulnerability with the expectation that such an awareness may allow investigators to establish processes to render investigations consciously more balanced, considered, and transparent. A further aim is to describe a child custody evaluation from an eco-systemic perspective by contextualising the investigation in the larger ecosystem to which it belongs. This description includes the investigation as part of an evolving problem-determined system. An awareness of this wider and evolving context may enable investigators to approximate a position of objectivity and neutrality more effectively. It may also act as an inoculation against the ‘contamination’ of the investigator by the investigative system. This thesis identifies what could be included in both areas (in addition to the expected protocols and procedures) by describing the investigator’s position as an expert learner, rather than just an ‘expert’. In line with current literature, it highlights the benefits of thinking consciously and in a considered manner. An analysis of the impact of a training programme on social representations of abuse, protection factors and measures put in place

Masse, Manon 09 January 2014 (has links)
Long ignored or denied, incidents of abuse are now regularly reported and recognized as commonplace in institutions catering for people with disabilities. It is widely recommended that staff should receive training in order to help prevent such abuse, and even that such training modules should now be made compulsory in initial training programmes for all staff working directly with residents. However, virtually nothing is said about the content of such courses, nor about the pedagogical approaches that should be adopted. This thesis analyses such a training program and its outcomes. The programme was conceived with a view to improving active prevention, taking into account the evolution of the concept of abuse, the need for prior work on representations of abuse and the option of an eco-systemic approach to the issue. In order to better understand outcomes, three distinct pedagogical approaches were included. The programme is proposed to social workers during the final year of their initial training. Our approach tests the hypothesis that changes in representations of what constitutes abuse and its factors of protection occur during the training course and may result in specific preventive action. It allows us to develop the methodological approaches needed to analyse such a training programme and also to make recommendations regarding the content and the adoption of appropriate pedagogical methods.

Psigologies-opvoedkundige ondersoek na kinderheldeverering vir ontoereikende ouers

Moolman, Lindie 02 1900 (has links)
Afrikaans text / In this study, the reasons for the phenomenon of continuous loyalty towards and hero worship of incapable parents are investigated. Case studies with a qualitative and quantitative research paradigm were completed on two adolescents. Media that was used to collect data include: interviews, Kinetic Family Drawing, Sacks Incomplete Sentence Test and the High School Personality Questionnaire. The findings of this study indicate that there are certain factors that are typical traits of incapable parenthood. Adolescents deal with this child-parent relationship through rationalisation and defence. The result is a feeling of inferiority, poor self-image and behavioural patterns that are aimed at satisfying the parents and receiving in turn, positive feedback. This study supplies answers to parents and individuals in the educational-psychological field in understanding the adolescent in such situations. Further research is however necessary to gain information about this phenomenon in order to be able to substantiate the findings. / Further Teacher Education / M. Ed. (Voorligting)
