The study has an exploratory-descriptive design, with a qualitative approach. Data were collected with the use of focus groups, and the analysis was carried out according to Critical Discourse Analysis. Eighteen adolescents from a Pescar Project Unit located in Porto Alegre participated in this study. This dissertation is composed of three empirical papers presenting the research results. The first paper analyzes the adolescents conceptions of gender roles in affective-sexual relationships, by evidencing and problematizing both hegemonic discourses that have either supported symbolic violence or rendered it invisible, and discourses that have resisted and countered such hegemony, being able to contribute to changes in gender relations. The second paper analyzes and discusses social and cultural phenomena that have been intertwined with violence in affective-sexual relationships among adolescents, establishing a bridge between the discursive practices of the adolescents participating in this research and social, historical and cultural constructions implied in this phenomenon. The third paper aims at pointing out some methodological potentialities of focus group, aiming at providing bases for the design of strategies that include group activities with adolescents, as well as public policies and inter-sector prevention, intervention and rehabilitation programs, considering the cultural gender models existing in our society. The results have evidenced that hegemonic gender discourses are present in adolescents knowledge, opinions, beliefs and attitudes, as well as in their families expectations, and the traditional gender roles provide favorable situations for either production or invisibility of violence. The challenge is to design inter-sector programs and policies for prevention, intervention and rehabilitation of violence perpetrators and victims, in order to face violence in affective-sexual relationships among adolescents both effectively and efficaciously. Education, health, assistance and justice have been involved in both the understanding and the intervention in this phenomenon, since youths need to be integrally attended, considering the peculiarities of their life conditions.

However, to refer it that way, we can systematically emptying it of expressions of violence that permeate. Furthermore, this statement tries to legitimize prostitution as a practical historically related to the natural condition of women. The main objective of the research is to examine how the activity prostitucional potentiates in different forms of violence in everyday development of prostitution in the city of Natal. Accordingly, the spot of the categories of gender relations and patriarchal violence against women, refute the thesis advocated by much of feminist studies on of prostitution as an expression of autonomy of women and overcoming the patriarchal order of gender. Procedures as set methodological quali-quantitative approach, guided by the method historicalmaterialist dialectic that allows us to apprehend the object of study beyond their immediate, unmasking its contradictions. We conducted nine interviews with prostitutes belonging to the classes of People who develop the activities in the streets and prostitutes Natals` cabarets. We hand with the systematic observation activities promoted by the Association of Prostitutes in Rio Grande do Norte ASPRORN, as the visits to cabarets, as well as participation in seminars held by this entity, at which establish contacts with informants-c which have facilitated access to interviewed. We note that the economic dimension is the factor determinant for their inclusion in prostitution, all to recognize as who found an alternative for survival, since most do not has no professional training and education. Another issue important to be emphasized concerns the areas where unhealthy develop programs which by itself is characterized as a denial of rights, expressed in the socioeconomic inequality that are subject. As the expressions of violence in their daily lives, the main forms identified were the physical and social, however, there is a trend in naturalizes them, the secondary-over other issues identified as most pressing, such as not service payment by the customers. The determinants of violence identified by respondents were assigned to the woman, or is its boldness. We also, the omission of the State in the issue of prostitution, mainly embodied in absence of public policies directed to sexual rights and reproductive and generation of employment and income. Regarding the regulation of prostitution, the majority of the interviewees is contrary, arguing that exacerbate the stigma in this practice / A prostitui??o ? conhecida como a profiss?o mais antiga do mundo, segundo algumas historiadoras, contempor?nea ? pr?pria civiliza??o .

It aims to analyze and reflect about the role of media, particularly television, on the process of reproduction of patriarchy system of gender on the context of Brazilian society, from content and narrative news about crimes committed against Andreia Rodrigues and Eliza Samudio. In light of the critical perspective, we seek to apprehend the particularities of patriarchy as a system of domination and subjugation of women, and also reveal the involvement of traditional means of media on reproduction and maintenance of inequality between men and women. To apprehend that reality, we had as guidance a critical social theory, grounded in historical-dialectical materialism which enabled us to apprehend the phenomenon under investigation actually enrolled in a dynamic and contradictory reality. The research had qualitative approach. We appeal to the specialized literature of the area from classical and contemporary authors. We conducted a content analysis of categorized matters, and interviews with individuals involved in issues of gender and / or communication. The critical examination of the matters indicated that television journalism is permeated by the contradictions inherent in social life, means that states and restates the ideology of ruling classes, their values and worldviews, but also express conflicts and social demands. The study revealed that prevails on television playing stereotypes and gender inequalities. We could also see that violence against women gets a sensationalist overblown approach and with no insights on the social relations that determine and base it. A pesquisa teve abordagem qualitativa.

Viol?ncia e luta por direitos no capitalismo contempor?neo: cr?tica ? configura??o do atendimento ?s mulheres no Rio Grande do Norte

Oliveira, Leidiane Souza de 07 November 2012 (has links)

No. of bitstreams: 1 LeidianeSO_DISSERT.pdf: 3146450 bytes, checksum: 614b044afeb6342e5e2bc0c3bebe9ad3 (MD5) Previous issue date: 2012-11-07 / Coordena??o de Aperfei?oamento de Pessoal de N?vel Superior / This research analyzes the Rio Grande do Norte care services to women who face violence in the context of contemporary capitalism. To do so, we situate the patriarchy in the set of current social relations and its relationship with the corporate determinations in everyday life. The new functions of the Patriarchy in the capital sociability permeates the lives of individuals and particularizes the relationships of violence which affects women, requiring, in the immediate level, policy-making to face them. The research found an arsenal of contradictory possibilities and limitations in dealing with violence. In this process, forms of struggle and resistance predominate, which appear as possibilities and limits were identified relate to the socio-historical context of regression of the rights, historical moment in which increase the objective difficulties in everyday life to ensure the legal achievements. It is worth to emphasize the achievements and contradictions that characterize the struggle process for rights, linking services to women to the social policies and to the limits they face in opposition to the aims of the State to meet the mandatory requirements of capital, reducing its role as the main guarantor of policies and rights. In this sense, the trajectory of the achievements that have referred to the proclamation of a specific law to deal with combat violence against women, the Maria da Penha Law - 11.340/06, which provides an integrated set of measures that, if implemented, would allow the women protection from relations of violence they experience. We identified in Rio Grande do Norte precarious services that are essential to achieve the Maria da Penha Law. This situation requires a feminist organization to claim the rights that enable women to see themselves as people with rights in the process of collective struggle. This is the historical need for continuity of struggles that accumulate policies for the existence of a new model of social relations of gender. One of the possibilities that are presented in the current context is the impact on the public budget in order to ensure compliance with the budget for public policies for women - woman budget. In this perspective, feminist segments in national and state level have been organized to understand the functioning and monitoring of social policies. This is a condition and prerequisite for ensuring policies to ensure basic rights and the violence combat , which still requires an integrated set of services. The survey results allow us to consider that the struggle for rights is necessary at this historical moment, however it is not sufficient in human emancipation, which requires new forms of social relations that determine substantive equality between men and women. Thus, the feminist movement faces the challenge to organize and strengthen itself in daily life, in order to execute a project that changes the meaning of women's rights, articulated to a corporate project which wants other command in the set of social relations . This study emphasizes the need for a more and more organic connection between feminism and social struggles, to ensure the inclusion of women in anti-capitalist struggle / Este trabalho sistematiza os resultados obtidos na an?lise dos servi?os de atendimento ?s mulheres que enfrentam viol?ncia no contexto do capitalismo contempor?neo.

In order to do so, the objective was to analyze how violence against children and adolescents in Natal / RN has been tackled, particularizing the strategies and mechanisms used by the DGS protection agencies, in the period from 2014 to 2015, in order to identify the limits And possibilities that interfere and / or contribute to the accomplishment of this confrontation in the municipality. The research was conducted through qualitative research and was guided by the critical dialectical referential, and the data collection was done through documentary and field research in the quantitative-qualitative perspective. The focus of the research was the Protection Network that operates in the Northern Administrative Region of Natal. The semi-structured interviews were conducted with: the Guardianship Council, the Municipal Council for the Rights of Children and Adolescents, the Specialized Referral Center for Social Assistance, The Family Health Support Center and a Municipal School. The data were treated based on content analysis and analyzed in the light of the adopted theoretical framework. It was identified that three dimensions are essential to face the phenomenon: care, monitoring and prevention. However, determinants of cultural, social, political and economic order contribute to the occurrence and recurrence of situations of violence and interfere in the accomplishment of the confrontation. The family appears as an institution which, contradictorily, attributes authority and duty to protection. In addition to the phenomenon that occurs immediately, structural violence appears as another expression of violence committed against children and adolescents.

Mind the need to change strategies to work to combat violence, we plan to conduct focus group workshop to complete the questionnaire, training for protection against occupational violence, and meeting with other bodies responsible visor protecting children and adolescents to draw the flowchart of the victims in safety net. Due to difficulties in the physical structure of the unit was not possible to continue the research and planned every moment, and then completed the data collection with interviews with the participating professionals, to assess the meetings. Therefore, it is considered that action research has also achieved its goals because the team was involved in the collective construction of a proposed change in the practices of referral and prevention of violence against children and adolescents. This involvement was favored using the principles Freirian during the course of the study. However, it is assumed that the network was not fully implemented because it is known that it is in a continual process of improvement and must continue evolving with the unit team.

This is a descriptive, exploratory and representational study, whose methodological approach falls into the qualitative category. We chose as a scenario for research, by the Reference Center for Citizen Women (CRMC), Natal / RN. The criteria for selection of participants were women who lived/live in situations of domestic violence, with affective or relationship bonding with the assailant, in psychological and emotional positions appropriated to the reality; that are being protected or assisted by the service listed above; whose aggressor is male. We adopted as data collection instruments: questionnaire, Drawing-Story (DE) and a field diary. For analysis of textual data, we decided to use the ALCESTE software conjugated to editing analyze and initial reading. Were investigated 20 women victims of domestic violence, whose author of the attacks was the husband/partner. We identified, from the respondents, that 70% (n = 14) of men with aggressive behavior also had a family history of violence and fragile family relationships. About the physical and emotional condition of the assailant at the time of violence, 50% (n = 10) of these men, regardless the use of alcohol, had often quarrelsome and/or nervous behavior, impatient and unpredictable humor facing a setback, worry or annoyance. Regarding the nature of violence, we observed that women were victims of all types of violence, however, the psychological prevailed in 100% of cases. The corpus "Men" has three classes, whose focuses are, respectively: resignation, denounce and violence/aggression, being possible categorizing them as well: Category 1: The imprisonment of women; Category 2: Violence and its meanings; Category 3: Breaking the violent cycle. We show that the social representations of man s aggressive behavior, from the women in situations of violence, are anchored in the social roles of men in family and society, becoming a dominant model of masculinity. It is aimed, on one hand, from the reproduction of what is already known and/or experienced by male aggressors in the family, as repetitions of behavior. And on the other, present themselves as a state of illness, addiction or psychopathy / Objetivamos apreender as representa??es sociais do comportamento agressivo do homem sob a ?tica da mulher em situa??o de viol?ncia intrafamiliar.

Meeting place, the diversity and possibilities. But the urban universe which cities belong is not a homogeneous whole. There are spaces demarcated and valued ideologically creating antithetical images about places that are now recognized as violent or dangerous. Peripheral urban situations of unprivileged add to theprejudices to the origin of place within the neighborlyallotments Jos? Sarney and Novo Horizonte (Japan Slum) / Natal-RN, which are reproduced in narratives of everyday life. Spatial divisions are exploited, mixed and repeated to maintain social distances through rites of separations and dichotomies such as neighborhood/joint housing, allotment/slum and the people of the high place/the people of the down place. Social categories such as buraco(hole) and cabras (goats) are evoked to interpret the world of violence and places regarded as dangerous. The prominence of hypermasculinity and perception of children and adolescents living on the outer elements are brought up to the interpretation of images evoked in interviews with residents and their neighbors / A cidade ? o l?cus privilegiado de constru??o da vida social e pol?tica, e do ajuntamento dos grupos sociais.
