”… utslussen från institution till samhälle, öppet samhälle där är det för mycket vakuum.” : En kvalitativ studie av samarbetet mellan Statens institutionsstyrelse och Socialtjänst / “… the transition from an institution to a society, an open society there it is too much vacuum.” : A qualitative study about interaction between The national board of institutional care and The social welfare board

Eldh, Sofia, Gill, Ida January 2010 (has links)
<p>The intention of this study was to examine the interaction between authorities. More specifically it had a purpose to look at the ongoing cooperation between social workers and staff of special homes of closed institutional youth care. The sanction system for young offenders’ reform of 1999 where young people between the ages of 15-17 who have committed serious crimes, can be sentenced to secure institutional treatment instead of prison, aims to counteract the harm which can result from a stay in prison. The social welfare board in the young person´s local authority and the national board of institutional care shall cooperate during the youth’s placement at the special home of closed institutional youth care. This study was based on eight qualitative interviews with social workers chosen randomly from all over Sweden and staff members from different special homes of closed institutional youth care. To interpret the material we have been using theory of collaboration and cooperation of Danermark and Kullberg. We have also used earlier studies within the area. The study has resulted that the social welfare board are more satisfied with the corporation than the national board of institutional care are. The study also shows that there has been an improvement. Significant reasons for this result has proved to be; the two different employers with different mission statement who are cooperating, unclear guidelines and the lack of knowledge within in the social services. Today there’s an ongoing cooperation that needs to be developed.</p>

"Eftervård - vad menar du med det?" : En kvalitativ studie där eftervård för ungdomar som varit placerade i familjehem belyses utifrån familjehemsföräldrars perspektiv / ”Aftercare - what do you mean with that?” : A qualitative study where aftercare of adolescents who have been placed in foster family is highlighted from foster parents perspective.

Laakso, Sara, Gullin, Monica January 2017 (has links)
The purpose of the essay is to gain an increased knowledge and in-depth understanding of the use of aftercare in the practice of adolescents aged 18 - 23, who have been placed in a family home, through foster parents stories. To achieve the aim of the study, a qualitative research approach has been used and the empirical material has been developed through qualitative interviews. The study was conducted by six semistructured interviews of eight foster parents in total. During the interviews, thematic areas were indicative: foster parents view of “support and help after leaving care” a.k.a. aftercare, foster parents perception of adolescent need for aftercare and the foster parents view of their function in the aftercare. The empirin was analyzed based on concepts within Mead´s symbolic interactionism and Bowly´s theory of attachment. The result shows that foster parents see the need for a long term support for this target group, but believes that the existing support after leaving care cannot be called aftercare. Our conclusion is that there are major shortcomings in the aftercare of adolescents who have been placed in foster families, and that efforts that are available are not functionally designed for this target group. In order for this to change, it is necessary that the adolescents and foster parents needs of the aftercare are highlighted. The foster parents assignments in the aftercare need also to be developed and strengthened.

Från institution till samhälle : LSU-dömda ungdomars upplevelse av delaktighet i utslussning och eftervård

Edvinsson, Diana, Jönsson, Evelina January 2011 (has links)
The aim of our study is to gain increased knowledge and understanding of how young people who has been sentenced to closed institutional care experience their own possibility to participate and influence the transition and aftercare, and which, if any, importance they believe this has for their readjustment to society. The study is based on a qualitative method. The data consist of interviews with four young persons, of which three, at the time for our interviews, where in the transitionphase, and one had left the institution a few years ago. The study’s theoretical framework is based on Erving Goffmans theory about stigma and the empowerment theory. We have also used earlier studies within the area to understand and interpret our data. The result indicates deficits in terms of the young people’s possibility to participate and influence the planning and implemantation of the transition from the special home of closed institutional youth care.  The youths express a wish to be more involved and be able to influence more, yet at the same time there seems to be an acceptance among the youths concerning the fact that they are not given the possibility to participate, which can be related to a view of themselves as less worthy.

The Delivery Home : Giving Birth with Spatial Support / Förlossningshemmet : Föda med rumsligt stöd

Hovrell, Yonna January 2023 (has links)
Most labour rooms in Sweden pretty much all look the same. They have a white plastic floor and a light colored wall. The room has one bed, and next to the bed you find machines that will help you if anything goes wrong. These rooms are made to give birth in - but somehow they’re not made for that at all. This project is based on research showing that home births can lower the risk of several medical interventions, infections and helps to get a better birthing experience overall (in low risk pregnancies). In Sweden only about 0,1% give birth at home, which is something that might change with time - but not everyone has the possibility, or feel safe enough, to give birth in their own home - or even want to. In Swedish history there was a transition from giving birth at home to giving birth at the hospital - and during this transition there also existed delivery homes. These were places that gave the opportunity to give birth in a home like setting - but with a more evolved medical security than in the home. These homes were later found not as cheap to run as the cost effective hospitals - and were all eventually shut down. Until now. The project uses biophilic design and rounded shapes to connect to the shapes of nature, while at the same time combining it with the rural Swedish home. The project becomes a space to give birth in - but also share experiences, meeting family on your terms, celebrate the life created and mourn when life gets taken away too soon. The birth of a child is one of the biggest things that can happen in a persons life. And we should give birth, not only with medical support - but with spatial support as well.

”Inte ens preventivmedel handlar om sex" : En fenomenologisk studie om sexologisk stöttning efter en vaginal förlossning. / “Not even contraceptives are about sex" : A phenomenological study of sexological support after vaginal childbirth

Bäckström, Sara January 2023 (has links)
Since 2015, the Swedish government has invested more money in the post-partum care to make it more accessible. The number of Swedish qualitative studies, which highlight women's experiences of sexological support after childbirth since 2015, is limited. This means that we do not know how adequate the government's investments have been in terms of patients' access to sexological support after childbirth. The purpose of the study is to gain an increased understanding of what sexological support, from healthcare, people feel they need after childbirth. The author has conducted ten qualitative semi-structured interviews with respondents who had a vaginal birth in the last two years. Analyzed through Merleau-Ponty's (1945/2006) and Ahmed's (2014) phenomenological theories the results show that the respondents' sexual health was affected by the interaction of the changes in their physical body and life situation. These aspects were also influenced by their partner and the post-partum care. During the follow-up, several respondents felt that their midwife focused too much on their physical body instead of changes related to their sexual health. Participants expressed a need for more information and confirmation regarding the physical, psychological, and social changes that affected their sexual health. The participants also wished to have more sexological support for their partner. This result indicates that the government's investment in the post-partum care has not been sufficient in terms of sexual health after childbirth, which means that parts of this care remain unavailable. Key words: childbirth, partner, post-partum, postnatal care, sexual health, sexual function, sexual satisfaction, sexological support.
