Previous issue date: 2009-12-17 / Visceral leishmaniasis (VL) has a wide geographical distribution in tropical and subtropical areas of the planet, which is a protozoan parasite of the genus Leishmania. This pathogen is transmitted to the host through the sandflies bite, with its saliva, the immune response that leads to both. In the state of Rio Grande do Norte, 85% of the sand flies captured is Lutzomyia longipalpis, but the second most abundant, Lutzomyia evandroi, it deserves emphasis because its wide distribution and eclectic behavior. The exposure of people living in endemic areas for the insect vector VL greatly increases the chances of infection. This study aimed to evaluate aspects of the epidemiological profile of VL in endemic areas of human and nonendemic in the metropolitan area of Natal, as well as verify the abundance and seasonal fluctuations of sandflies species in two counties endemic for VL. Were collected in the municipalities of N?sia Floresta, Parnamirim, S?o Gon?alo do Amarante and Maca?ba, of which groups of females were separated for further dissection of the salivary glands and identification of species. The blood samples used were from individuals of two Natal s districts where it has never been reported cases of VL and neighborhoods of Parnamirim applicants who present cases of VL. In the municipality of N?sia Floresta, the most abundant species was L. evandroi with 38.39%, followed by L. longipalpis with 36.22%, L. walkeri 19.67% L. lenti 3.81%, L. wellcomei 1.39% and L. whitmani 0.52%. Already in Parnamirim the proportions were L. walkeri with 73.15%, L. evandroi with 10.55%, L. wellcomei 7.63%, L. longipalpis 6.37%, L. whitmani 1.46%, L. sordellii 0.52%, L. intermedia 0.21 and L. shanonni 0.1%. In both municipalities was observed higher abundance of species distributed in the initial months of the year, as February and March. The study showed that no difference in exposure to the vector of VL among individuals from endemic and non endemic area for this disease. But there are differences in exposure between individuals of L. longipalpis and L. evandroi, confirming the great powers of the first vector. It was also characterized as predominant phenotype in the population of endemic areas who had negative serologic responses to antigens of Leishmania and
result in negative Montenegro skin test (DTH), indicating that much of the population hasn t been bitten by infected insects / A Leishmaniose visceral (LV) tem vasta distribui??o geogr?ficas nas ?reas tropicais e subtropicais do planeta, cujo parasito ? um protozo?rio do g?nero Leishmania.

Previous issue date: 2012-02-16 / Coordena??o de Aperfei?oamento de Pessoal de N?vel Superior / The correct histological diagnosis of vascular lesions in the oral mucosa is
critical, especially in defining the treatment and prognosis, as some vascular lesions
show spontaneous involution and others do not show such behavior. This study
analyzed the expression immunohistochemistry of human glucose transporter protein
(GLUT-1), in oral benign vascular tumors and to reclassify such lesions according to
with his immunoexpression. In addition, we evaluated the immunohistochemical
expression of hypoxia-inducible factor 1 alpha (HIF-1?), the main transcription factor
involved in cellular adaptation to hypoxia. We analyzed 60 cases of benign oral vascular
tumors: 30 cases with histological diagnosis of HEM and 30 cases of oral pyogenic
granuloma (PG). The results of this research showed that of the 30 lesions initially
classified as HEM, only 7 showed immuno-positivity for GLUT-1, remaining with the
initial diagnosis. The remaining 23 were reclassified as vascular malformation (VM)
(13 cases) and PG (10 cases). All cases in the sample with an initial diagnosis of PG
were negative for GLUT-1, demonstrating the accuracy of histological diagnosis of
these lesions. Concerning to the immunoexpression of HIF-1?, the Mann-Whitney test
revealed a statistically significant difference between the cases of GP and MV (p =
0.002), where the median of GP (m=78) was higher than the MV (m=53). Based on
these results, this study showed that a histological diagnosis alone is not always
sufficient for the correct diagnosis of oral HEM and that HIF-1? participates in the
Quanto ? imunoexpress?o do

Previous issue date: 2016-05-23 / Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Cient?fico e Tecnol?gico - CNPq / The aim of this paper is to discuss the absence of ?psychology continents? in modern western society, emblematized in the absence and weakening of dimensions of ?rites? and ?initiation rituals?. Asserting all crisis process and emptying of contemporary identities, called post-modern by some, our hypothesis works with the perception that the gap felt by these complex social procedures, common to all non-secular societies, would converge into unconscious reproduction of its logic found in the creation of miscellaneous contemporary groups. The Black Blocs was the group we used to design this parallel: collective phenomenon existent in diversified nationalities, analyzed beyond its political intents in its most archaic and unconscious dimensions and stimuli. It is a bibliographical, theoretical and revision research in which we illustrate this parallel from the analysis of several detailed elements in the rites and initiation rituals found in implicit symbologies and structure and in its body of actions and foundations of thought / O objetivo desta disserta??o ? discutir a aus?ncia dos ?continentes psicol?gicos? na sociedade moderna ocidental, emblematizados na aus?ncia e enfraquecimento das dimens?es dos ?ritos? e ?rituais de inicia??o?; corroborando em todo processo de crise e ?esvaziamento? das identidades contempor?neas, para alguns chamada p?s-moderna.

Characterization Of Online Archives Of Astronomical Imaging Vis-a-vis Serendipitous Asteroids, And Their Astrometric PropertiesDenis, Jean Marc 01 January 2012 (has links)
The identification of known asteroids on existing CCD pictures would allow us to obtain accurate astrometric and photometric asteroid properties. Some asteroids might have ambiguous orbital elements, thus their identification along with their exact positions on multiple picture frames could significantly improve their orbital elements. Furthermore, the possibility of identifying known asteroids on older pictures, sometimes preceding their discovery date, might allow the study of non-gravitational effects like the Yarkovsky effect. Identifying a potential Yarkovsky effect on asteroids is challenging because it is extremely weak. However, this effect cumulates with time, therefore, it is necessary to find astronomical pictures that are as old as possible. In addition, we need to collect high quality CCD pictures and use a methodology that would allow obtaining a statistically significant sample of asteroids. To accomplish this, we decided to use the online archive of the Subaru telescope at Mauna Kea Hawaii because it has a prime-focus camera with a very high resolution of 80 millions pixels very well suited to capture serendipitous asteroids. In addition, the Subaru online archive has pictures from the last 10 years. iv The methodology used in this thesis is to build a database that contains the orbital elements of all the known asteroids, allowing us to write a program that calculates the approximate position of all the asteroids at the date and time of each CCD picture we collect. To obtain a more precise position, the program also interfaces the JPL NASA Horizons on-line computation service. Every time an asteroid is found on a picture, Horizons sends its theoretical location back to the program. A later visual identification of this asteroid at this theoretical location on the picture triggers its input into our sample for further study. This method allowed us to visually confirm 508 distinct asteroids on 692 frames with an average diameter of 3.6 km. Finally, we use the theory (given in appendix A) to calculate the theoretical drift of these asteroids that we compare with the one we measured on the CCD pictures.

Previous issue date: 2016-02-24 / CAPES / This dissertation broaches about the operationalization of the inclusive conception of Special Education, through Specialized Educational Attendance (SEA). For the study was used as base the Critical Theory where we investigated the followings questions: What are the impacts the presents Public Politics in effective formation of SEA, as well as yours pedagogical and educational aspects, and formation of the teachers? How do teachers understand the, Specialized Educational Attendance as a support for the inclusion of the students target audience of Special Education in the public school? What are the target that SEA has contributed to schooling of students, who Special Education has as a focus, in the classroom? What are the possibilities of the Specialized Educational Attendance in the support inclusion school? What experiences that there is or it / are lived between the teacher from the classroom and the teacher of the SEA? What is the understanding of these teachers about the inclusion of that students of Special Education? As research objectives defined: characterize public politics of education regarding school inclusion and its relation to the training of teachers, considering the current political and pedagogical guidance of Specialized Educational Attendance for the students, assisted by Special Education, in municipality of Paracambi; Describeing the contributions of expert support for the process of inclusion of the students assisted by Special Education in regular classes at school study locus; Assessing the concept of the SEA teachers, who have participated in the research, about the inclusion of special education students in space of the regular school; Evalueting the conceptions of teachers in the common class, participants in the research, about the Specialized Educational Attendance; and evaluate the relationship between the common teaching and SEA thinking it lie whiting the triad: access, retention and learning of the student target audience of Special Education. This research is based on, theoretical and methodological in Critical Theory, especially thinkers Theodor Adorno and Hellmut Becker. However, it were used in this study other scholars, such as Costa, Damascus, Pucci, Booth & Ainscow are considered. The source was conducted at Dawn School, one school of Basic Education on Municipality of Paracambi. The subjects of study were two teachers who works in the Specialized Educational Attendance and one teacher from each area of knowledge: codes and languages; Humanities and Social Sciences; Exact and natural sciences, necessarily active in classes in which students assisted by Special Education had to be included. The results of this research show that the path traced by the Municipal Paracambi Education for the operationalization of the inclusive perspective of Special Education is being realized, even considering its contradictions. Thus, we can say that the SEA developed in this school, although not free of tensions and contradictions, has contributed to the affirmation of democratic perspective of education under the Special Education of this city. Previous issue date: 2016-02-03 / This research Jo?o da Cruz e Sousa and other narratives about Brazilian racism is linked to the teacher's research project Jose Valter Pereira ?Race Relations in Schools and professor of Teacher Training. Starting from the life and work of Jo?o da Cruz e Sousa, we try to discuss how some issues raised by him in the late nineteenth century, still can help us reflect on the ethnic-racial relations in Brazilian society. This research aimed to compare my story, the narrative of my students, considered here as a collective subject, and the story of the poet Jo?o da Cruz e Sousa. The interweaving of narratives mentioned, despite the spatio-temporal difference that separates them, sought the possible dialogues that can help us to think how racism still holds and updates daily at school? How prejudice, racism and discrimination are materialized in the production of inequalities within the school environment? How prejudice, racism and discrimination are materialized in the production of inequalities within the school environment? Thus, this study dialogue with authors such as Muniz Sodre (2000; 2010), Kabengele Munanga (2006), Nilma Lino Gomes (2003; 2012), Frantz Fanon (2008) and other scholars in the field of ethnic-racial relations, articulating them with studies of Modernity/Coloniality Group (2007; 2008), Hanna Arendt (2007) also helped us develop some issues with the concepts of "public space" and "appearance". To connect the narratives we rely on the research of Joseph Valter Pereira (2000, 2006 and 2010), Jorge Larrosa (1994; 2014), Walter Benjamin (1985), Leonor Arfuch (2010) and also Luciano Bedin da Costa (2010). About the life and work of the poet, we consulted bibliographical studies, documents such as newspapers, magazines literary critic of the late nineteenth century etc, that somehow relate to the researched problem. As narratives of the students we consider the set of texts and conversations that took place within the school environment from activities or situations involving ethnic-racial relations. Furthermore, we assume here the political challenge of exercising an essay written in order to problematize the hegemonic aesthetic as the only way in knowledge production.

Previous issue date: 2016-06-07 / This research topic grew out of my entry into public school as a teacher of the first segment, having just completed the course in pedagogy at the Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro. From there I began to realize the gap between academia and teaching practice, which comes into being from the moment in which the teacher carries out its functions in everyday school life (Tardif, 2014). Over time there is a gap theory as it is the daily practice that directs their work in the classroom. When I took my position at Serop?dica Prefecture, was studying education for ?tnico-raciais Relations in PENESB, which made me realize that despite the existence of Law 10.639 / 03 amending LDBEN - Law of Guidelines and Bases for National Education 9394/96 on Article 26, some teachers still do not have knowledge of it and others who know her say not knowing how implement it. According to my experiences lived in everyday school life, I realized how much this is traditionalist and prioritizing a particular culture, so there is a silencing that supports prejudice and discimina??o interfering in the socialization of children in school (Chevalier, 2012). The invisibility of the Other and its culture is present in everyday school life. In view of this, we intend to find grants that lead to reflection on teacher training and the knowledge that they "mobilized" to work in the classroom. And in the specific case of this study, to investigate the formation of education professionals who have graduated in UFRRJ - Rural Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. The theme chosen to develop this work aims to contribute elements to the debate of the issues surrounding teacher training and the application of Law 10.639 / 03, taking as a starting point also my academic background.

The research also realized a survey about the educational specialized in these educational systems by official registering information available in the Instituto Nacional de Estudos e Pesquisas Educacionais An?sio Teixeira (INEP) database and also in Observat?rio da Educa??o especial e Inclus?o escolar: Pr?ticas Curriculares e Processos de Ensino e aprendizagem (OBEE), the last one supported by Observat?rio da Educa??o da Coordena??o de Aperfei?oamento de Pessoal de N?vel Superior (Obeduc/Capes). As analysis methodoly we have used the research colaborative prerequisites in consultation with the qualitative referencial information from the federal and local documents analysis about the proposals also named as inclusive being from that point of view developed a descriptive analysis from the collected information. These results among other aspects had shown that the educational and specialized attend realized in classrooms with multifunctional resources and special classes, being the mental disabled people the larger aim- public attented in those spaces. Thus, this investigation besides promoting reflections about the including scholar system, developed, from these indicators, the special education school profile in the public and municipal system in Baixada Fluminense.
