Schadagies, Naemi, Heinke, Susan 24 August 2006 (has links) (PDF)

Crucibles of cultural and political change : postmodern figured worlds of Tejana/o Chicana/o activism

Campos, Emmet Espinosa 20 October 2011 (has links)
Supervisors: Luis Urrieta and Noah De Lissovoy This qualitative and sociohistorical study examines the lives and experiences of Chicana/o educators in Texas and the ideological and political discourses of equity and social justice that they draw from to shape their practice in three educational sites: the Llano Grande Center (LGC), Red Salmon Arts/Resistencia Bookstore (RSA), and the Advanced Seminar in Chicana/o Research (ASCR). I document their work based on the oral narratives of fifteen educators, site document analysis, and ethnographic work I conducted as observant participant associated with these organizations. This project extends recent scholarship that links critical pedagogy, social and cultural theories of identity formation and new social movement scholarship to understand the multiple cultural, social and political dimensions of activist education. My principal findings indicate new senses of individual and collective identity practice, reframed critical and culturally relevant pedagogies, and a reconceptualization of indigenous discourse and practice. These findings have important implications for activists, educators and researchers by rearticulating scholar activist work in new more emancipatory ways that considers place-based models of critical and cultural relevant teaching and learning and more radically democratic research practices. / text

Lärande i en traditionstung kontext : Om psykoanalytiker som lär gemensamt i samband med utvecklandet av en metod för behandling av spädbarn och föräldrar / Learning in a tradition-laden context : A study of psychoanalysts engaging in shared learning in the development of a method of treatment for infants and parents

Bertell, Ida January 2013 (has links)
This thesis on working life education aims to contribute knowledge about the conditions for shared learning processes when new knowledge is developed in a tradition-laden context. The study is about a group of psychoanalysts who are developing a new treatment method, “infant psychoanalysis”, for working with infants and their parents. It deals with professionals in private practice, where the professionals involved are unable to see one another in action, an aspect which previous studies have found to be of significance for collective learning. The thesis examines the conditions for learning processes from a constructivist and action theory perspective. The context in which the learning takes place is seen as central to the learning processes that arise. This is a case study; the empirical material has been gathered over the period 2006 to 2012 consisting primarily of 17 transcribed qualitative interviews with psychoanalysts specializing in infant psychoanalysis. Strong traditions are passed down in the psychoanalytical environment. In developing a method of working with infants there is a tension between tradition and recreation which affects shared learning processes. The group undergoes four phases, each with different conditions for learning. The individual experiences of working clinically with the method are at times dissonant with initial preconceptions of the method. In the shared context, the views of different aspects of the method are successively discussed and changed: how to focus in clinical practice, what the frequency of the treatment should be and what approach to take. “Primary arena” and “secondary arena” are proposed as concepts to understand the relationship between the clinical practice (primary arena) and the seminar arena (secondary arena). The method has different meaning in the primary and secondary arenas, which causes dilemmas that triggers learning processes. Collective learning processes enable the development of the method.

The human beings have a innate capacity of communicate themselves and organize their communicative actions among their pairs, which allow us to say that the practices of orality are frequently used in classroom and they are always based on textual genres. In this work, we developed theorical studies about the use of textual geners as argumentative motivators for oral practices on elementary school. The main objective of this work is develop a pedagogical proposal that contemplates the work with the oral argumentation in the final series of elementary school from the comprehension of the oral text genres, specially, the seminar and the policy debates. Specifically, we want to comprehend some points related to oral argumentation in the context of the classroom. In addition, this work aims to discuss about the relation between orality and written, to present concepts of textual genres, relating to the context from the classroom and point the main traces of the textual genres seminar and debate and this work aims at structuring a pedagogical proposal that contemplates the development of the oral argumentation based on the textual genres seminar and debate. To pursue these goals, we seek to understand argumentation and orality, based on the theories from Bakhtin( 2003), Alves Filho (2011), Marchuschi (2002) and Wachowicz (2002) that talk about theories from the perspective of orality and writing. Aristotle (2005), Perelman (1958) Ribeiro (2009( that talk about questions from the argumentative rhetorical, oral argumentation and principals of the work in classroom. Finally, Schneuwly and Dolz (2004), Marcuschi (2010) and Marques (2010), that give explanation about oral generes, differentiation from the speak to the writing and of the work with formal argumentation in the context of the classroom. So, we do a revision of the PCN, observing the guidelines in taward to the work with the textual genre in the oral mode. We structure basic concepts of the orality and writing, showing that these two modalities of language take part of a continuum that complement each other and effective each other in communicative practices that are essential to the human life. First we define basic concepts of orality and written, showing that these two modalities of language are part of a continuum that complete itself and efective itself in communication practices. We define the arguments as linguistic practice based on a controversy that always involves a speaker and a listener on a dialogic way.; the textual geners as essential for the communication. They are dynamic and variable. Our focus in this work was presentate proposals of pedagogical intervention based on two textual oral genres which are seminar and policy debate. we characterize the seminar as a multimodal, hybrid and conversational gener, while the debate we characterize as a dialogic, argumentative and able to generate significative learning in respect to development of the oral argumentation. The methological procedures that we used was essentially bibliographic. We developed two proposal of pedagogical intervention: The first one was based on seminar and the second one based on policy debate. We structured these proposals considering the following steps in respect to each genre: knowing, developing and reflecting. Knowing is relationed to presentation, characterization and studied of the genere, developing is relationed to how to structure the proposal and the confection of the learning modules. Reflecting is a moment reserved to evaluation of the the whole process embedded in the communication Project. We concluded this work summarizing the main concepts of argumentation, orality and textual genre, debate and seminar and we talked about important role that the teacher assumes to promote significative learning. The teaches was presented not as a knowledge transmitter, but he was presented as a coaching that motivates the student to want to knowing, whose skill is to suggest and promoting the linking between knowledge and the concrete situations of the real life of the students.

Theologische Ausbildungsstätten und ihr Beitrag zur Persönlichkeitsentwicklung ihrer Studierenden im Blick auf Mission: eine exemplarische Konzeptentwicklung am Beispiel des Theologischen Seminars der Liebenzeller Mission = Theological Seminaries and their contribution to the personality development of their students in respect to mission: an exemplary development of a concept for theTheological Seminary of the Liebenzell Mission

Eisinger, Thomas 30 November 2007 (has links)
Text in German / Based on the "Cycle of mission praxis" developed by Karecki the present study develops a model for personality development for institutions of theological training. This model presents a conceptual framework which these institutions can use to develop a concept for the personality development of their students. The model serves as methodological basis for the development of character traits which qualify a prospective full-time Christian worker for his/her ministry in the kingdom of God. In a second step the model will be applied to the specific context of the Theological Seminary of the Liebenzell Mission (ThSLM). This requires a context-analysis which grapples with the societal developments during the last decades in Germany with a special emphasis on the developments in German evangelicalism. The analysis also deals with the ThSLM. And it focuses on the individual student with his/her development and potential. The theological reflection develops framework principles of a biblically oriented anthropology, points out the pastoral theological demands of potential employers, and relates these insights to Clinton's discoveries regarding leadership development. The next chapter deals with the theme of identification. The question of motivation is central for a concept like this. This applies also to the expectation with regard to the motivation and views of lecturers who teach in a school which is committed to a triadic view of education. These investigations lead to the development, definition and description of spiritual and social quality markers which are expected from future fulltime ministers in mission work and which are therefore part of the curriculum of the ThSLM. The development of the concept is rounded off by the explication of concrete steps for its implementation. These steps show how an institution can assist students in the development of these quality markers. The present study develops a model and applies this model by means of an example. The model answers to the call which repeatedly appears in missiological debates for a comprehensive, holistic development of spiritual leaders. The study points out which steps institutions for theological training can undertake to contribute to this goal in the early phase of ministry preparation. / Christian Spirituality, Church History and Missiology / D. Desafios e perspectivas para o trabalho coletivo entre professores no âmbito do desenvolvimento da Proposta de Reestruturação Curricular do Ensino Médio no RS / CHALLENGES AND PROSPECTS FOR COLLECTIVE WORK AMONG TEACHERS IN THE IMPLEMENTATION PROCESS OF CURRICULAR RESTRUCTURING PROPOSAL OF HIGH SCHOOL IN RS.

Kerber, Fernanda 04 September 2015 (has links)
This research aims to understand how the operating conditions for carrying out actions related to collective work during interactions between SI teachers and teachers of other disciplines that make up the curriculum of secondary education in the context of the implementation process of the Restructuring Proposal Curriculum of Secondary Education (PREM) under the coordination of the Secretary of the State Education RS (SEDUC / RS). To achieve this goal, we propose to answer the following research question: To what extent teaching practices developed in the interactions between SI teachers and teachers of other disciplines that make up the curriculum of high school, have characteristics of collective work? We take as sources of information: (1) 09 Teachers responsible for SI; (2) 09 Teachers responsible for other disciplines that make up the current curricular matrices of high school and; (3) (09) members of Pedagogical Coordination of state schools of Eastern RS Education. Used as instruments to collect information on these subjects, basically individual interviews. From the data collected information we can say that there was no awareness that it should be made a collective work, which articulate teachers of different areas of knowledge, development of projects to be developed in the IS discipline. The planning of these activities was the responsibility almost entirely, SI teacher himself, with a little help from members of the Pedagogical Coordination of schools. There is no involvement of all teachers in the proposal, as teachers of other subjects, at no time sought the professor SI to develop some activity together. Hardly the collective teaching work will establish in schools without the Pedagogical Coordination guarantees periodically, discussion spaces and activity planning among teachers. We conclude that, without specific training for all school teachers, to carry out projects that combine different curriculum components for the planning, hardly there will be a collective teaching.

In this sense, Alexandre of Gusmão appears in this survey as a man whose ability to pedagogical application manifested in the founding of the Seminary of the Belém of Cachoeira. But for he found the Seminar there was an influence, an inspiration that led to this project. Starting from the Council of Trent and understanding as Alexandre of Gusmão sought the Founder of the Society of Jesus (Ignasio of Loyola) and jesuit intellectual enthusiasm for the project, unveils a tangle of strands, which enables the analysis not only of Alexandre of Gusmão, but of all the colonial context. Thus, we understand that Alexandre of Gusmão is a product of the educational constitution that has occurred in Brazilian lands; history of pedagogy that firm by the numbers of colleges founded by the jesuits relation with the metropolis. As the jesuits cultivated Luso-European Culture, by way of rationalizing the world, how come a pedagogical possibilities of application in the documents guided the Society of Jesus. Anyway, not only the intellectuals of the Society of Jesus, but the documents, the Ratio Studiorum and the Constitutions of the Society of Jesus, inspired Alexandre of Gusmão which adopts and creates, along with Manuel Correia As Regras do Seminário de Belém da Cachoeira forming the basis of a statute that would be applied by Alexandre of Gusmão to educate boys in Brasílica Colony. His whole way of seeing the school world, the rules for students, teacher, functionary, hours of visits, vacations and recreation, religious ritual, masses, reflection, etc, lead to practice good manners.
