[pt] CONSTRUÇÃO SOCIAL DE MASCULINIDADES E FUNDAMENTOS DO TRABALHO DESENVOLVIDO EM GRUPOS REFLEXIVOS PARA HOMENS AUTORES DE VIOLÊNCIA DE GÊNERO / [en] SOCIAL CONSTRUCTION OF MASCULINITIES AND FOUNDATIONS OF WORK DEVELOPED IN REFLECTIVE GROUPS FOR MEN RESPONSIBLE FOR GENDER-BASED VIOLENCE

LUCIANA MOREIRA DE ARAUJO 14 September 2021 (has links)
[en] The institutional trajectory of reflexive groups for male perpetrators of violence in Rio de Janeiro begins with interventions designed and carried out by non-governmental organizations, until the enactment of Law 11.340/2006, in its articles 35 and 45, legitimized the Education Service and Accountability for men responsible for gender-based violence, as a public policy, within the scope of the Judiciary. In this movement of elaboration in process, as the implementation and reflection on the practices took place, several theoretical-methodological perspectives were set to support equally diversified proposals. Focusing on this method, this study aims to identify and analyze historical, theoretical and ethical-political foundations of groups made with men who are perpetrators of violence against women. Therefore, were elected as empirical field three Courts of Domestic and Family Violence against Women in the Metropolitan Region of the State of Rio de Janeiro and structured the analytical corpus from three sources and three data production techniques: 1) observation participant from the first to the last meeting of a reflective group in each researched court; 2) semi-structured interviews with conductors of the reflective groups observed; 3) analysis of documents and regulations instituting the Education and Accountability Service for male perpetrators. The data produced from the triangulation of sources – male responsible for violence, conductors of reflective groups and documents – and mentioned techniques were analyzed based on the relational perspective of gender studies and on feminist studies situated in the perspective of human rights, articulated to Pierre Bourdieu s concepts of habitus, cultural capital, field and agent. The conclusions indicate a growing tendency to standardize the work developed in groups with male perpetrators of violence, from the production of norms triggered by the enactment of the Maria da Penha Law, while preserving a relative margin of theoretical-technical autonomy for those responsible for conducting it. A significant part of the foundations of the work remains a result of the experiences and initial elaborations, with a marked influence of gender studies with an emphasis on women s rights and the need for accountability and changes in the perspective of male authors. However, the institutionalization of services, predominantly within the scope of the Judiciary, imposes important inflections in the correlation of forces in operation in the field, establishing a paradox expressed by carrying out a work that is intended to be re-educational in a space historically associated with control and punishment.

Identity, politics, organization: a historical sociology of the Democratic Party of Iranian Kurdistan and the Kurdish Nationalist Movement

Jahani Asl, Mohammad Nasser 31 August 2017 (has links)
The struggle of the Kurdish nation in Iran entered a new phase of modern nationalist movement since World War II, especially since the establishment of the Society for the Revival of Kurdistan (J.K.) in 1942. The J.K. was then transformed into the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), which later changed its name to the Democratic Party of Iranian Kurdistan (PDKI) in 1945. This dissertation addresses a major gap in the existing research about the study of Iranian Kurdish nationalism spearheaded by the PDKI. Offering a historical sociology, the dissertation argues that this movement should be understood within the context of the state-building process in Iran and nationalist and national liberation movements in the world. It offers, for the first time and in any language, the most extensively researched and detailed history of the PDKI, its struggles for Kurdish national rights, its programs, organizational structure, political strategies, achievements, internal conflicts, numerous splits and unifications, women’s status within it, and its relations with other parties. It critically analyzes the strengths and weaknesses of the PDKI. The methodological components include: literature review, discourse analysis, content analysis, snowball sampling, in-depth, open-ended interviews with 29 high-ranking activists, archival research, fieldwork conducted in the Iraqi Kurdistan and in Europe, Internet research, and statistical data. Sources used were in English, Persian, Kurdish, and Turkish. While the PDKI has championed a democratic Kurdish nationalist movement, it has heavily undermined the democratic principles within and outside the party and underestimated women’s potential within the movement. In order for the PDKI to re-emerge as a party in sync with our times, it needs to undergo a radical reform and democratize its internal and external relations. / Graduate / 2023-08-22

Moreau, Kadyjah 12 1900 (has links)
This thesis aims to identify what Haitian mothers pass on to their daughters in terms of gender and feminist perspectives. By analyzing the socialization and transmission process and documenting mothers' perceptions of the Haitian family model and educational, my aim is to better understand gender dynamics within Haitian families. These mothers pass on what they "are", what they "do" and what they explicitly "say" to their daughters. This research focuses on the practices and mechanisms put forward by Haitian women to resist patriarchal power within and outside their own families. The feminist and emancipatory stance of Haitian women has its roots in the country of origin, long before immigration to Quebec and contact with Western values. This study explores how the feminist stance of first-generation Haitian women in Quebec is rooted and expressed. The thesis thus focuses on the issue of gender equality as it presents itself in Haiti, while studying how it evolves and reconfigures itself in a migratory context. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with a sample of nine Haitian mothers living in the Montreal metropolitan area. The results indicate that Haitian mothers, through what they transmit to their daughters, contribute to promoting greater equality between men and women, and that their agentivity is likely to improve the status of women. The exploratory nature of this research means that the results cannot be generalized. Nevertheless, the research offers a fresh look at socialization and transmission from a feminist and intercultural perspective that has been little explored to date.

Disciples and discipleship in the Gospel of Mark, with particular reference to Mark's contrast between male and female disciples

Cox, Nicholas Christopher 31 January 2007 (has links)
This study is an exploration into female discipleship. Its primary aim is to compare and contrast Mark's portrayal of male and female followers of Jesus respectively, while its secondary aim is to establish what lessons there may be for the social status of Christian women in the kingdom of Swaziland. These ends will be pursued by looking at Mark's portrayal of male disciples and the contrast he draws between them and the female followers of Jesus. This study then concludes that Mark has a more positive view of female followers than he has of male disciples, and this may stem from the conduct of male disciples he has observed in the Church of his time. / New Testament / M.TH. Diversity

Heitzmann, Daniela, Klein, Uta 27 April 2017 (has links) (PDF)

Dekonstruktion

Schwanebeck, Wieland 25 April 2017 (has links) (PDF)

Sexismus

Thiele, Anja 25 April 2017 (has links) (PDF)

Mulheres e HIV/aids: um estudo de recepção radiofônica / Women and HIV / AIDS: a study of reception radiophonic

Maria Helena Franco 29 October 2010 (has links)
Indicam também que a inserção do programa radiofônico Silvia e Você na rede discursiva provocou deslocamentos importantes tendo em vista o enfrentamento da epidemia / This study is located in the area of Communication and Health, had intended to analyze senses related to women\'s vulnerability to HIV/aids produced by receivers of a radio program targeted to confront HIV/aids, transmitted by a communitarian radio of Sao Paulo city.
