'n Ekosistemiese herbeskouing van pleegsorgdienste

Diederiks, Amanda Magrietha 01 1900 (has links)
Social Work / M. Die rol van 'n pastorale berader in 'n gemeentediensjaarspan

Biggs, Johanna Wilhelmina Margareta 11 1900 (has links)
This research deals with the pastoral accompaniment (by a pastoral counsellor) of a congregational team that does a service year for Christ. The study is of a qualitative nature and takes place within the discourse of practical theology. The pastoral-narrative methodology that is used in the counselling process, and the narrative micro maps of notknowing, transparency, externalisation, deconstruction, re-authoring, rituals, the avoidance of a language of shortcoming, letters, re-membering, metaphors, the creation of an audience, questioning and reflection, are discussed. De Jongh van Arkel's distinctions for the pastorate are discussed in detail. Special attention is paid to the fourth distinction that he makes, namely pastoral therapy. The research is directed towards everyone who is involved in the training and accompaniment of teams that do a service year for Christ, as well as congregations who host teams that do a year of service. Suggestions for future training and accompaniment of such teams are made. / Theology / M. Th.

Experiences of final year nursing students at a public college of nursing in the Eastern Cape province regarding their preparedness to become registered nurses

Mampunge, Fezeka January 2013 (has links)
Within the nursing profession, the transition from the student to a graduate nurse is a common rite of passage that marks the end of initial educational preparation in the discipline and the beginning of a professional journey as a nurse and a member of the multidisciplinary team (Nash, Lemcke & Sacre. 2009:48). This is a period of adjustment, stress, growth and development and the transitional nurse is likely to feel uncomfortable, fearful and may experience feelings of inadequacy. This study was undertaken to explore and describe the experiences of final year nursing students at a public college of nursing in the Eastern Cape regarding their preparedness to become registered nurses, with the aim to identify gaps and make recommendations on strategies to close the gaps. The objectives were to explore and describe the experiences of final year nursing students at the public college of nursing in the Eastern Cape Province with regard to their preparedness to become registered nurses and to recommend strategies to improve the preparation of nursing students for transition to become registered nurses. To answer the research question “What are the experiences of final year nursing students at a public college of nursing in the Eastern Cape Province with regard their preparedness to become registered nurses”, a qualitative, explorative and descriptive design was used as a framework for the study. Data were collected by means of unstructured focus group interviews with a purposively selected sample of 27 final year nursing students at the particular college of nursing. Data were analysed using Tesch’s method of analysis for qualitative research. Two themes emerged, revealing that participants at the college experienced preparedness and lack of preparedness to assume the role of a professional nurse. This related to certain aspects that had an impact on the preparation of the final year nursing students for practice and included: curriculum-related aspects; clinical teaching and learning support; learning opportunities; interpersonal relationships between lecturers, students and clinical staff; equipment; and library resources. It was concluded that the learning needs of the nursing students were not adequately catered for, leading to lack of preparedness. Through the involvement of nursing students in the evaluation of their learning, shortfalls in both education and practice areas could therefore be detected. Recommendations regarding strategies to be used to promote preparedness of final year nursing students included: continuous feedback on student performance in the form of exit evaluations on the part of students to identify learning needs; writing of progress reports on the part of clinical practice; and the employment of clinical preceptors with clear role specifications between the lecturers, ward sisters and preceptors to avoid role confusion.

A description of the theoretical and practical experiences of critical care nursing students

De Swardt, Hester Cathrina 31 December 2004 (has links)
This qualitative study was aimed at exploring and describing the theoretical and practical experiences of second-year critical care nursing students. Purposive sampling was done, and unstructured interviews and narrative descriptions were used as data collection tools. An adaptation of Johns's Framework, the Guideline for the Facilitation of Reflection as Teaching Strategy, was used during interviews to guide participants in reflecting on theory-practice integration. Multiple strategies were used to ensure the trustworthiness of the study. Concerning patient data, communication, and the administration of life-saving medications, theory-practice integration did occur. Regarding treatment and the outcome of nursing interventions, it seemed that knowledge deficiencies and a lack of exposure to practical situations contributed to the inability to apply theory to practice. This apparent inability evoked negative feelings, such as guilt. Discrepancies between practice and theory taught led to confusion. Guided reflection assisted students in gaining a new perspective on nursing and theory-practice integration. / Health Studies / M.A. (Health Studies)

Die at the hospital : between private law and public law : practical, theoretical and philosophic approach.

Tomc, Nicolas Antoine 28 November 2012 (has links)
Today, dying at hospital is the most curently idea agreed in order to protect people. That’s maybe the reason why medical studies took this as an issue more than lawyer studies. It’s around the middle of the twentieth century, after one more genocide, marking the spirit of the humanity certainly for all eternity, that a new bioethical language is going to be made the vector of a consideration renewed by the person. The man becomes a human-person in the international texts, proclaiming from then on of unpublished works human rights. While taking the bioethics as object of reflection a certain health law, widely inspired by the production of committees of ethics, emerged from a privatiste doctrine in the first one, to encircle first rights of the one that it would have been advisable to call then the dying. However, the public institution of health confronted with the medical technologisation, allowing then an extension of the end of life, quickly was to be a place of conflict between those who were then considered as users of public service, and principals doctors of the State. The superiority of the private law of the person seemed then threatened, the administrative law taking the power to indemnify the victims of the hospital. However, by means of systematic reductions looking at the dying person only under an angle génériciste, recovering from a public law, this one gradually found itself perfectly ignored in the first essence which the private law succeeded in perceiving. The most recent forms of deresponsabilisation would give evidence of a consecration of the compensation stopping an objectivisation the underlying being to the dying, going person to justify the euthanasic act. The approach repeated by this difficult object of study would find to generate a reflection which the philosopher of the right(law) would engage, reintroducing the person inflexible as point of departure and arrival, so that could be harmonized the inevitable meeting of the public and private, legal and political domains, to return all its onto-axiological truth to the first rights of the dying subject.

Toscano Ortega, Joan A. 24 January 2003 (has links)
The analysis is set out as an intentional dialogue with the criteria laid down by the Constitutional Court on this subject (material overflow of state budgets laws) in the course of its extended jurisprudence, In short, the work defends a broad concept of the material scpope of budget laws.
