In diesem Band „Essays zur Didaktik der Geographie“ werden in 8 Beiträgen ausgewählte Methoden für den Geographieunterricht behandelt. Praxiserfahrenen Geographiedidaktiker(inne)n und Geographielehrer(inne)n haben die Themen Croquis/Chorèmes und Schemata, Einstiege, Planspiele, Rollenspiele, Scaffolding, Schulbücher, Spiele und Umweltbildung in pointierter Form aufbereitet. Die Inhalte dieses Buches richten sich an Studierende, Referendarinnen und Referendare sowie Lehrer(inn)en, die sich kompakt über einzelne Themen oder Stichworte informieren wollen. Die acht Beiträge ergänzen die 65 Beiträge im „Metzler Handbuch 2.0 Geographieunterricht“. Sie sind durch wechselseitige Querverweise systematisch miteinander verbunden.

När vi pratar om värdegrund och om skolans värdegrund så finns det vissa värden som inte är förhandlingsbara, för att de är självklara för vår mänskliga samlevnad. Ett av de viktiga är ett alla människors lika värde i betydelsen demokrati och detta värde utgör en slags minsta gemensamma nämnare som alla bör vara överens om.Detta arbete fokuseras på uttrycket ”demokratisk värdegrund”. Syftet med studien är att beskriva och tolka hur lärare uppfattar och förstår skolans demokratiska värdegrund i betydelsen allas lika värde, dels i lärsituationen, dels i mötet lärare-elev. I studien har jag använt mig av intervjuer. Jag har intervjuat fyra stycken lärare. Resultatet visar att inriktningen på demokratisk värdegrund går mot ett perspektiv av humanistiskt och medmänskligt budskap.

This essay is based on a story where you get an eye on pedagogue’s different approaches to the pacifier in preschool. A pedagogues approach towards, for example, the pacifier affects how you choose to act and in the story it is seen that pedagogues can have different approaches to how to act against children´s use of pacifiers in preschool. In the reflection section, I discuss pedagogue’s different approaches to the pacifier and how one´s approach is formed. Discourse ethics has taken a large part in the essay as it can be used as a tool in the discussions between pedagogues when they have different approaches. How can different approaches affect the children and how these approaches can work in relation to power is something that is discussed in the essay. I will also analyse more deeply the power perspective to get an insight on such power that may not be so visible in everyday life, but which is found in all meetings between people. I have interviewed pedagogues in preschool to gain a better insight into how collegial relationships in preschool can be affected by different approaches towards the use of pacifiers, and what pedagogues regard as being important to consider when approaches collide. At the end of the reflection I discuss different performances and discourses about the pacifier in order to get an idea of ​​what can affect the approaches of pedagogues, and to show that it is not always easy to choose an approach when you do not know what is the "best" way.

Detta arbete utgår från forskning om fördelarna med kommunikation inom matematikundervisningen för att främja lärandet om ämnesspecifika begrepp och resonemangsförmågan. Matematikdelegationen (2004) lyfter att undervisningen i matematik domineras av ett traditionellt förhållningssätt, vilket innebär lärarledda genomgångar och enskilt arbete med statiska uppgifter. Dock är studien genomförd innan den nya läroplanen trädde i kraft 2011 och resultatet kan därför vara missvisande. Därför är denna studie inriktad på pedagoger som avslutat sin lärarutbildning efter 2011.Studien syftar till att jämföra hur pedagoger, som undervisar i de lägre åldrarna, arbetar för att skapa ett kommunikativt klassrum inom matematik för att utveckla elevernas lärandeUtifrån syftet har kvalitativa semistrukturerade intervjuer genomförts med 4 pedagoger. De har fått samtala om sina tankar och erfarenheter om kommunikation i matematikundervisningen genom att svara på öppna frågor. Frågorna formulerades för att ta reda på hur de arbetar för att möjliggöra för eleverna att kommunicera och interagera med varandra, och med pedagogen, om matematik, samt vilka svårigheter och möjligheter de möter i arbetet med detta. Resultatet har därefter analyserats utifrån en fenomenografisk forskningsansats.Resultaten av pedagogernas svar visar att det finns en samsyn på vad kommunikation inom matematik bör innebära, vilket lyfts som gemensamma reflektioner i grupp, med läraren och i helklass. Detta förklaras med att eleverna ska få möjlighet att redogöra för och ta ställning till sina egna och andras matematiska reflektioner. De deltagande pedagogerna lyfte även att användandet av digitala redskap var en fördel i arbetat med att skapa ett kommunikativt klassrum och att samarbeten mellan eleverna gav förutsättningar till att föra och följa matematiska resonemang.

Studien bygger på en interventionsforskning med syfte att tydliggöra att praktiska övningar bidrar till begreppsinlärning hos elever i lågstadiet. Studiens utformning bestod av en undervisningssekvens innehållande en förkunskapskoll, en praktisk övning, en genomgång med diskussion, följt av ytterligare en praktisk övning. Avslutningsvis fick eleverna utvärdera lektionen. Vid genomförandet av interventionen var eleverna indelade i halvklass. Undervisningssekvensen utfördes därför två gånger och totalt medverkade 22 elever från årskurs 3. För att väcka elevernas intresse och engagemang var de praktiska övningarna som utfördes konstruerade på ett lekfullt och lustfyllt sätt. Eleverna fick testa att dra en stol utan och med en person på, samt glida över golvet med och utan strumpor för att tydliggöra fenomenet friktion. De komplement som eleverna fick till de praktiska övningarna var ett protokoll där de skulle skriva i vad de tror skulle hända, vad som hände och varför det hände. Det gjordes en observation under genomförandet av interventionen där en av oss förde löpande protokoll på dator och den andra av oss ansvarade för lektionen. Under de praktiska övningarna gick båda runt i klassrummet och observerade eleverna. Resultatet visar att eleverna kan utöka sin begreppsinlärning med hjälp av praktiska övningar samt vid diskussion, men att fenomenet är komplext och det behövs både mer tid att arbeta med det samt träning för att befästa djupare kunskaper. / The study is based on an intervention research with the aim of clarifying that practical exercises contribute to concept learning for students in primary school. The design of the study consisted of a teaching sequence containing a prior knowledge check, a practical exercise, a review with discussion, followed by another practical exercise. Finally, the students had to evaluate the lesson. At the time of the intervention, the students were divides into half classes. The teaching sequence was therefore performed twice and a total of 22 students from year 3 participated. To arouse the students´ interest and commitment, the practical exercises that were performed were constructed in a playful and fun way. The students had to try to pull a chair without and with a person on, and slide over the floor with and without socks to clarify the phenomenon of friction. The complement that the students received to the practical exercises was a protocol where they would write in what they thought would happen, what happened and why it happened. An observation was made during the implementation of the intervention where one of us kept notes on the computer and the other of us was responsible for the lesson. During the practical exercises, both walked around the classroom and observed the students. The results show that students can expand their concept learning with the help of practical exercises and in discussion, but that the phenomenon is complex, and it takes both more time to work with it and training to consolidate deeper knowledge.

The aim of this study is to present how English borrowings (loanwords and phrases) are integrated into Swedish grammar and spelling rules. The hypothesis is that borrowings appearing in the unchanged form in Swedish occur much more frequently in internet forums than in press. The study is based on the analysis of a material consisting of around 70 English borrowings found in different entries from one of the largest Swedish online discussion forums, flashback.org. The whole corpus comprises of 661 randomly selected entries. Each of the 70 borrowings appears in every possible spelling variant and grammatical form. The statistics presenting the number of occurrences of a given borrowing come from 38 corpora available at Språkbanken. The material collected from online forums and from the newspapers and magazines, make it possible to compare the quantity of borrowings in these two types of media.  The study consists of a theoretical and a practical part. The former introduces the topic of borrowings while the latter is devoted to the analysis of the specific examples contained in the material.    The theoretical part begins with the presentation of the most popular classifications of borrowings appearing in the linguistic literature. Subsequently, there is a description of the three processes that each borrowed word must undergo before it appears in the recipient's language: the introduction, distribution, and establishment. At last is presented the way in which the grammatical type and the meaning of borrowings change when they enter the recipient's language.    The practical part focuses on the analysis of the examples. The borrowings are divided in nouns, adjectives, verbs and borrowed phrases. The study consists in a thorough investigation of all of the spelling variants and grammatical forms of individual words as well as in an observation of the number/frequency of their occurrence in both media. The study confirmed the hypothesis set out in the beginning, namely, that English borrowings that appear in Swedish in an unchanged form more frequently occur in the online discussion forums than in the press. It is also observed that nouns are the most numerous English borrowings encountered in Swedish, internet forums contain borrowings with a greater number of grammatical forms and spelling variants than the press and the phenomenon of borrowing complete English phrases occurs more often on the online forums than in the press.

Denna studie undersöker vad det finns för bakomliggande faktorer för lärare att lyfta kontroversiella frågor i klassrummet samt hur lärare undervisar om kontroversiella frågor. Studien är en genomförd litteraturstudie som utifrån tre utvalda databaser undersöker och analyserar olika utvalda akademiska artiklar. Artiklarna har valts ut via ett indexsystem och resultatet har redogjorts för genom en tematisk analys. Majoriteten av de använda akademiska artiklarna består av forskning som ägt rum på grundskolan och i västvärlden. Studien visar att underliggande faktorer som skolans administration, lärares utbildning samt lärarens moraliska kompass påverkar om läraren väljer att lyfta kontroversiella frågor i sin undervisning. Resultatet visar även att lärarens ordval, relation till eleverna samt klassrumsklimatet på skolan eller i klassrummet påverkar undervisningen inom kontroversiella frågor.
