Albina Pedó 10 January 2012 (has links)
This paper studies the pedagogical and liberating practice of Jesus, according to Luke 24,13-35. The contents are organized in three chapters. Chapter One (Luke and the Context of Communities in the Age of Jesus) provides an overview of the socio-political, eligious and social context in which people lived at the time of Jesus. It is crucial to know he reality, in order to better understand what is behind the words and actions of Jesus, in iving with the people of Israel. Chapter Two (Life and Mission of Jesus) focuses on the person of Jesus, His identity and characteristics that are revealed through His mission in he perspective of interpersonal relations. Chapter Three (Interpretation of the Pedagogical Practice of the Risen Jesus on the Road to Emmaus) makes an interpretation of Luke 24,13-25, with a focus on the Easter event and on pedagogy. This text, which is the basis or this paper, is, in fact, a manual of theological and methodological exegesis, principle or the task of teaching. The chapter ends with some pastoral experiences based on the Emmaus methodology. These experiences were carried out during training meetings with groups of catechists, teachers of religious education in moments of spirituality, retreats, celebrations. The Appendix provides the full report of the experience that was developed in a training course for Ministers of the Word (catechists and other pastoral agents). It was planned along with some members of the team coordinating the parish where the event ook place. The key words below summarize the methodological principles of the practice of Jesus, from His journey with the Disciples of Emmaus, as in Luke 24:13-35.

The following words cast a glance at the artist presence in the possible relations of the encounter act. Therefore, the affections (in)contained in this writing reveals questionings, lived experiences and connections among textual references, through an ethnographic data articulation, including theory and practice, artistic and academic research in a complementary relationship. Some authors and artists provide the elements that will be discussed: Hans Ulrich Gumbrecht discusses the presence tangibility; Bento Espinosa is a reference in attempt to understand the impact of afects in artistic experience; Walter Benjamin, Jorge Larrosa Bondia and John Dewey provide subsidies for the invitation to an possible experience to the contemporany art of the presence. The drawing of the path on the relational presence has vestiges in directors practices in the early 20th century, observed in studies of Marco De Marinis, Béatrice Picon-Vallin, Eugenio Barba, Erika Fischer-Lichte e Suzanne M. Jaeger, among others. Theories of António Damásio, Paul Churchland, Sandra Meyer, Michel Bernard e José Gil are articulated in a movement in favor of the body/embodiment comprehention. Also, there is the exposure of some experiences, in front of the investing in artistic experiments of concepts pertinent to the researching development, containing in this path: the reverberations of an approach to the work of the dancing group Cena 11; the report of an lived experience with the group La Pocha Nostra; and the analysis of issues generated in approaching with tools/concepts of the AND OPERATING MODE, from João Fiadeiro and Fernanda Eugénio.

Sullivan, Shannon Kerri 09 May 2023 (has links)
Sitting in a Stranger's Bathtub is a collection of poetry interested in the relationship between grief and time. It seems the more grief "happens" or rather, reiterates or transforms itself (a birth provoked by something unknown and can only be attributed to time and its maturing), the more grief splinters and splits off creating alternate dimensions in which things went a little bit differently, where something grand can be imagined like being present for a mother's death. These poems consider these worlds half by choice, in order to let those lives continue in their mundane yet miraculous ways, and half by possession. These poems seek to represent the horrible pang of deja vu that proves the existence of alternate happenings, and also justify deja vu as a sensation intended to fill the fragments of memory. In keeping with the tradition of the Confessional movement, these poems aim toward honesty, toward revealing the truth, only possible by showing the failures of memory, particularly in the presence of grief. / Master of Fine Arts / Sitting in a Stranger’s Bathtub is a poetry collection.

A Discussion on the Later Heidegger’s Thought of Language

Liang, Xiao Han Unknown Date (has links)
This thesis aims to discuss later Heidegger's thinking from language. It mainly divided into two parts. Firstly, starting from the “language from phenomenology”, we intend to quest that, how could a pre-violent, pre-expressing, pre-representing and pre-conceptualized language be possible. Furthermore, starting from the “phenomenology from language”, we attempt to inquire the relationship between later Heidegger’s thinking from language and the breakthrough of phenomenology.

The pragmatic particles 'enfin' and 'écoute' in French film and TV dialogue

Connors, Marianne Dorothy January 2016 (has links)
This thesis investigates the use of the pragmatic particles (PPs) 'enfin' and 'écoute' in French film dialogue, and their translations in British English subtitles. Using a corpus of nine films and eight episodes drawn from two television series – all released in the UK between 2005 and 2015, and equating to approximately twenty-two hours – the study identifies tokens across a much wider range of contexts than has previously been possible using traditional corpora. The main contribution is an analysis of PP functions. The results for 'enfin' show a different functional distribution of the particle to other corpora, with corrective 'enfin' occurring significantly less frequently. The relatively large number of tokens of performative and emotional (or affective) 'enfin' allows for an elaboration of these two categories, and a tendency is observed for 'enfin' to appear as an apparent disagreement mitigator in discussions between peers. With regard to 'écoute', it is argued that écoute1 functions as a face-threat mitigator in unequal relationships and écoute2 as an FTA, although the particle is multifunctional and some tokens exhibit characteristics of both categories. Attention is given to combinations of 'enfin' and 'écoute' with other particles: while there is a clear tendency for disagreement-mitigating 'enfin' to co-occur with 'mais', and for the precision and restrictive subcategories of the corrective to co-occur with 'je veux dire', other previously documented combinations ('enfin bon' and 'ben écoute') are not frequently occurring in the present corpus. The thesis also makes a significant contribution to the field of Audiovisual Translation (AVT). The English subtitles show high rates of omission for both particles consistent with previous research, with disagreement-mitigating 'enfin' particularly vulnerable to omission. However, the analysis reveals a surprising pattern regarding 'écoute': a clear division of labour between ‘look’ (used to translate more confrontational tokens) and ‘listen’ (more conciliatory and socially distant). The study includes an experimental analysis of the subtitles relative to their character limits, demonstrating a potential new approach for researchers wishing to investigate the impact of various subtitling constraints.

GE UPP, STÅNGA HUVUDET I VÄGGEN ELLER HITTA EN NY VÄG : en intervjustudie om hur sjuksköterskor kan främja hälsoprocessen vid psykisk sjukdom / GIVE IN, HIT YOUR HEAD AGAINST A BRICK WALL OR FIND A NEW WAY : a interview study describing how nurses may support the health process during mental illness

Brunius, Åsa January 2017 (has links)
Intervjuerna spelades in och transkriberades. / Background: Research shows that there is a need for greater focus on supporting the patient to find an meaning in life and to accept life as it is and from that insight move on to new goals. Research also shows that mental ill health is a public health problem that leads to an increased risk of dying prematurely. It appears that the search for meaning in life, belonging and independence is important and crucial to the health experience. It appears that all people can develop and have a potential that can be made the most of. Influence and participation are crucial for good care and patients want to feel that they can influence and shape their own lives. Aim: The purpose was to describe how nurses in psychiatric care support patients with mental illness to begin a changing process with a view to a better mental well-being. Method: A qualitative method, with interviews of five nurses in psychiatric care. The interviews were recorded and transcribed. A qualitative content analysis with inductive approach was used for the analysis. Results: How nurses work to support patients is presented in three main categories: Relationship-building actions, Strengthening and fortifying the patient, The nurse as a leader, organizing and making decisions. Discussion: It is the nurse that is the tool, not the model itself. To meet as human beings as well as to build relationships that are the key to helping another person begin a change process and find new goals in life.

Error and epistemological process in the Pentateuch and Mark's Gospel : a biblical theology of knowing from foundational texts

Johnson, Andrew M. January 2011 (has links)
This thesis will consider the possibility of an epistemological process described in the narratives and teaching of the Pentateuch and the Gospel of Mark. The specific nature of this epistemological process will be explored upon the priorities constrained by the texts themselves. While the epistemological objectives are not always perspicuous to the reader of the canon, error is more clearly diagnosed in these narratives. This thesis then investigates the epistemological process by looking primarily at where characters of the narratives 'get it wrong' according to the narrative's diagnosis. Primacy appears to be given in these texts to heeding the authenticated and authoritative voice first, and then enacting the authoritative guidance in order to see what is being shown; in order 'to know'. Errors occur along the same boundaries. Failure to heed the authoritative voice creates a first order of error, while failure to enact the guidance yields a second order of error. We begin at the fore of the canon working through these Pentateuchal texts as they are presented to the reader. In the first chapter, the necessity of this current study will be defended. As well, we will survey various attempts at describing a 'biblical epistemology' and their deficiencies and/or methodological shortcomings. Chapter 2 will advance the case that Genesis 2-3 actually yields sufficient epistemological categories which resemble the rest of the Pentateuchal descriptions of error in more than superficial ways. Genesis 2 is analyzed as paradigmatic for proper epistemological process while Genesis 3 is paradigmatic of error. It is upon the boundary of the authenticated voice that error is assessed in the Garden of Eden. These patterns of error are lexically and conceptually reverberated in the stories of the patriarchs and Joseph. Chapter 3 then looks at how these features discovered in Genesis are interwoven in the reader's mind as they come to the stories regarding Moses' prophetic authentication, Pharaoh's errors, and eventually Israel's own errors. The errors of Balak with Balaam in Numbers are considered as further reason to believe that this epistemological process is not reserved for Israel. Chapter 4 explores the unique connections between Israel's Deuteronomic reflections and the creation narratives of Genesis. The fifth chapter leaps to the Gospel of Mark to discern whether or not any of these patterns from the Pentateuch remain in the Gospel narrative. In the final chapter, the fruit of our theological reading is brought forward to interact with current epistemological theories (mostly in analytic philosophy). These contemporary epistemologies are found wanting to describe anything like what we found in the scriptures. Implications are then drawn for theological prolegomena and praxis.

All you need is just a little more time and you need to be surrounded by good people. : Young adults with motor disabilities tell us about their schooldays.

Dahlberg Nylund, Ingrid January 2013 (has links)
Based on the Normalization Principle and democratic movements in the second half of the 1900s an integration process considering school began. The concept of inclusion was introduced later to mark the school's responsibility in the matter. Despite the inclusion mission separation solutions for school has again become common. Studies on disabled children's school day shows that there are many exclusive situations in school, often unconscious, and in the belief that these are the best for the student. These situations are a result of schools not working at the organizational level with inclusion issues. The purpose of this study was to illuminate the inclusion aspects of the school for students with disabilities. Participants in the study were three young people with disabilities who have included the school. The study has a life-historical approach in which participants talked about their school memories, which were then analyzed based on Tangen´s model in four dimensions: time, meaning, relationships, and self-determination and control. The participants believe that they included in the school system evolved but they often had to fight for their rights and sometimes had to resolve arisen situations  themselves. They have all had a student assistant. The young adults who participated in the study are positive towards inclusion and believe that this has given them better opportunities in their adult lives. Further research may be longitudinal studies of students with disabilities and further studies, how the market-school affects students with disabilities and their ability to be included at  school, studies on student assistant's function and how inclusive physical education should be conducted for students with disabilities.

Eriksson, Susanne January 2015 (has links)
In this scientific essay: The art of being a specialist and listening, I reflect and examine my practice as a professional in the area of HR. I examine some of the expectations that I and my surrounding have on me and my professional role. How do I do when I meet conflicting expectations? How should I understand the way I’m acting at work? I retell three situations from meetings with managers taken from my work experience. These stories help me to make my practical knowledge visible. Through these examples, and the questions above I let my profession meet modern management research and theories about interpretation, context and specialist role from the philosophers Paul Feyerabend and Hans-Georg Gadamer. I conclude that my practical knowledge is to read the complexity and expectations in the situation I find myself and dare to remain in uncertainty without having the answers given, I have to stay in the process, and when I do, solutions will be given to me. The importance of being able to listen turns out as an important part of my practical knowledge. Another important insight is that my role as HR employees are dependent on it just me in a certain context practicing my profession and to my person and my role is intimately linked in my profession. You can not separate us.
