The research field was a state school in the city of Tupã-SP and the study subjects were the school teachers and their managers. A questionnaire, interview, observation and a focus group were used as data collection procedures. The theoretical basis is made of, in special, papers presented in the socialization area, professional identity, social climate and teacher action. To analyze the data the "content analysis" model indicated by Laurence Bardin was used. The data was organized into four categoires. Perception and characterization of the moments of socialization of the teachers in the school environment; Characterization of teachers professional identity of the school; Identification of the social climate and culture in the school; And the evaluation by the teachers and managers between the reflexive thinking and teacher action. Such investigations have had as results the importance of considering the school environment as a relevant space for the professional socialization and for the confirmation that socialization and the formation of identities are inextricably linked by the feeling of belonging of the group. It was possible to conclude that the socialization of the teacher in the school environment does influences the construction process of the professional identity recognition and of the teacher s practice. / O presente estudo ligado ao Programa de Mestrado em Educação da Universidade do Oeste Paulista de Presidente Prudente-SP, na linha de pesquisa Formação e Prática Pedagógica do Profissional Docente refere-se a uma pesquisa qualitativa (Estudo de Caso) que visou investigar a socialização do professor no espaço escolar, com o intuito de compreender como ele adquire, modifica, reconstrói conhecimentos, habilidades, convicções e atitudes próprias da profissão docente e da identidade profissional, no âmbito do exercício profissional. Foi campo da pesquisa uma Escola Estadual da cidade de Tupã-SP e sujeitos do estudo os professores da escola e seus gestores. O questionário e a entrevista foram utilizados como procedimentos de coleta de dados. O embasamento teórico constituiu-se, em especial, de estudos apresentados na área da socialização, identidade profissional, clima social e ação docente. Para análise de dados utilizou-se da análise de conteúdo na proposta de Laurence Bardin. Os dados foram organizados em quatro categorias: Percepção e caracterização dos momentos de socialização dos professores no ambiente escolar; Caracterização da identidade profissional dos professores da escola; Identificação do clima social e cultura da escola; e Avaliação pelos Professores e Gestores entre Pensamento Reflexivo e Ação Docente. Como resultados a importância de se considerar o espaço escolar como um aspecto relevante para a socialização profissional e a confirmação de que a socialização e a constituição das identidades estão intrinsecamente relacionadas ao sentimento de pertença ao grupo. Foi possível concluir que a socialização do professor no espaço escolar realmente influencia no processo de construção e reconhecimento da identidade profissional e da prática docente.

Understanding the teaching exercise as a social practice, the professionalization of the teacher must constitute a strategy for the constant rethinking of education in its institutional and social dimensions. The present research has as general objective to identify and analyze the identity and the knowledge of the teaching of the medical professors, in an undergraduate course in Medicine. In view of the proposed objective, we opted for a qualitative methodology. To conduct the research, a semi-structured interview was conducted with twelve doctors, professors of the Medicine Course of a Private Higher Education Institution of the State of Sao Paulo. The collected data were analyzed from a theoretical reference centered on Mikhail Bakhtin's Theory of Materialist Philosophy of Language. Analyzing, critically, the results of the research, we saw the need to reflect on the process of training, performance and development of the medical professional in teaching. Specific teacher training is required to start a career as a teacher, and institutions should promote initial, ongoing pedagogical training actions, allowing for changes in the pedagogical practices of medical professionals in undergraduate medical courses. / O professor de medicina, assim como em algumas outras áreas da docência no ensino superior, não é preparado, no curso de graduação, para ensinar e, em decorrência disso, sua experiência na sala de aula deriva, principalmente, de seu conhecimento específico no campo em que atua. Entendendo-se o exercício docente como uma prática social, a profissionalização do professor deve constituir estratégia para o repensar constante da educação em suas dimensões institucional e social. A presente pesquisa teve como objetivo geral identificar e analisar a identidade e os saberes da docência dos médicos professores, em um curso de graduação em Medicina. Tendo em vista o objetivo proposto, optamos por uma metodologia qualitativa. Para desenvolver a investigação, foi realizada uma entrevista semiestruturada com doze médicos, professores do Curso de Medicina de uma Instituição de Ensino Superior privada do Estado de São Paulo. Os dados coletados foram analisados a partir de um referencial teórico centrado na Teoria da Filosofia Materialista da Linguagem de Mikhail Bakhtin. Analisando, criticamente, os resultados da pesquisa, constatamos a necessidade de realizar uma reflexão sobre o processo de formação, atuação e desenvolvimento do profissional médico na docência. É necessária uma formação docente específica para iniciar a carreira como professor, e as instituições devem promover ações de formação pedagógica, inicial e continuada, permitindo mudanças nas práticas pedagógicas dos profissionais médicos, nos cursos de graduação em Medicina.

The social work has change from a voluntary dedication to an established profession. Social work is a profession in constant change and development. This study is about how social work has changed over time and how these changes have affected social workers professional practice. Our study highlights the changes in Sweden in the last 30 years. Our study is a qualitative study with an individual perspective and was conducted through semi-structured interviews with social workers over 55 years old. The results were consequently analyzed by using organizational theory, new institutonalism, professionalism and specialization. The result showed mainly three changes. These changes were digitization, streamlining and specialization. The result showed that these changes have contributed to both positive and negative consequences. Some of the consequences are; less client contact, high workload and more administrative work. The social work is changing as society develops. The result also shows that the professional identity is complex and associated to many other things. The disadvantage of the social worker's professional profession is the complexity, because social workers are a professional group with broad knowledge who can work in many different fields, which means that a professional identity can be  difficult to create.

The professionals active in the Swedish health and welfare system have in recent years become less holistic and more specialised in their professions. This has resulted in complications due to the complex nature of some cases they work on. The focus on expertise the individual professional possesses has a tendency to blind them of relevant aspects of the clients case outside their own field of expertise. Due to this there has been a noted tendency of clients” falling between the cracks” and not receiving the help they are entitled to. By performing a directed qualitative content analysis, the authors of this paper aim to investigate aspects of the interprofessional collaboration that either benefit or harm the work they do. To do this the authors of this paper analyse different evaluation reports made by Swedish municipalities and regions on their interprofessional collaborations through what is known as a coordinated individual plan, and compare these reports to previous research and also analyse these results with the aid of Domain theory. In this paper we discover that boundaries set up between professionals both benefit and harm the work that is done in Swedish welfare organisations. We also discover how the Swedish social works professional identity affect their relations with other organisations and professionals.

The overall aim of this thesis was to examine the development of PR practitioner professional identity. The purpose was to examine how PR practitioner reason/talks about the image of the profession and how communicators use discursive tools to create their professional identity. The primary theoretical framework of the thesis is social identity and discursive psychology to understand how the professional identity is created. The chosen method was interview method where six interviews were conducted from the private and the public sectors in Umeå. The private organizations included are Punkt PR, which is a private PR agency and Polarbröd. The public sector organizations included are Umeå Kommun, Region Västerbotten, Polisen Nord and Vakin. The result of the analysis shows that the PR practitioner perceive that the image given by their profession is incorrect and largely based on ignorance of how their work look like. PR practitioner also see their profession as important for both the organization and the community. The thesis conclusions were that the PR practitioner build their identity by focusing on how and why they are important in society and for the organization. Another opinion from the PR practitioner was that the media often producing that a large part of the PR practitioner´s work is to deal with journalists and make the journalist's work more difficult, which the PR practitioner´s think is wrong.

Cette thèse porte sur l’étude des dynamiques implicationnelles faisant suite à la mise en œuvre d’une innovation dans le champ de l’administration universitaire. Mises en place dans le cadre d’une démarche de recherche-action, nous avons souhaité interroger ces dynamiques à partir d’ancrages hétérogènes, non réductibles les uns aux autres, mais complémentaires. L’innovation en question renvoie à la mise en place d’une démarche participative et co-construite, permettant aux professionnels qui y sont impliqués de passer d’un statut qualifié d’agents, à un statut de co-auteur d’actions collectives. C’est par le biais d’une étude diachronique en deux temps de recueil de données par entretiens que nous avons cherché à mettre à jour les effets potentiels de cette démarche sur les dynamiques implicationnelles (hypothèse 1), représentationnelles (hypothèse 2) et identitaire (hypothèse 3) des professionnels interrogés. Les résultats, enrichis et étayés par différentes phases de restitutions investigantes, nous permettent de repérer que l’implication professionnelle s’exprime dans des formes d’être et d’agir qualitativement différentes entre les deux temps de recueil de données. L’innovation co-construite dans le cadre d’une recherche-action a notamment permis un renforcement identitaire, une réappropriation du sentiment de contrôle, une évolution de la représentation professionnelle du travail des professionnels administratifs interrogés, celle-ci passant d’une représentation « hors-sol » à une représentation collectivement assumée. Ainsi, ces résultats nous amènent à inscrire nos travaux dans une perspective de professionnalisation permanente, où l’innovation et la recherche-action permettent l’émergence d’une logique de renforcement de la professionnalité des acteurs concernés. Par ailleurs, en envisageant la démarche mise en place comme relevant d’un espace transitionnel, nous interrogeons l’innovation et la recherche-action comme possibles vecteurs d’émancipation. / This thesis deals with implicational dynamics following the implementation of an innovation in the field of university administration. Our concern has been to question these dynamics set up within the framework of an action-research process starting from heterogeneous anchorages not reducible to each other but supplementary. The innovation in question sends back to the implementation of a participative and co-constructed approach allowing the professionals who are involved there to pass from a so-called status of agents to a status of co-authors of collective actions. By means of a diachronic study in two phases of data collection through interviews, we have tried to measure the potential effects of this approach on the interviewed professionals’ implicational (hypothesis 1), representational (hypothesis 2), and identity (hypothesis 3) dynamics. The results enriched and supported by several stages of investigational feedback allow us to point out that professional implication expresses itself in forms of being and acting qualitatively different between one period of data collection and the other. Innovation co-constructed within the framework of research-action has notably led to a strengthening of identity, a reinforced sense of control, progress in the professional perception of the work of the administrative professionals interviewed, this one switching from a rather indistinct representation to a collectively assumed representation. Therefore these results bring us to register our work in a prospect of permanent professionalization where innovation and action-research allow the emergence of a logic of reinforced professionalism in the actors involved. Moreover by approaching the whole process as part of a transitional space, we question whether innovation and action- research can be vectors of emancipation.

The historical background and previous research on my subject refers to a certain uncertainty in a professional teacher's professional identity that still remains. The difficulty is excreted in ignorance in leading fields and uninteresting colleagues in between. My aim of the study is to gain an insight into the activities at the leisure home and how teachers view their professional role as well as how they take on the dual assignments that the identification in the school subject entails. I have chosen a qualitative method for my interviews and my selection was six teachers in leisure-time centres working in schools around Stockholm. I have used Roger Saljö's interpretation of socio-cultural theory, whose basic idea is that learning takes place in interaction between a group of people and an individual. My research shows that there are external factors that govern and influence the leisure teacher's choices and conditions and that the traditional school is prioritized. Despite the teachers' uncertainty about what their professional identity should be called in the leisure home, the image education has nevertheless strengthened their self-confidence and how they today teach the students. / Den historiska bakgrunden och tidigare forskningen kring mitt ämne hänvisar till en viss osäkerhet i en fritidslärarens yrkesidentitet som ännu kvarstår. Svårigheten utsöndras i okunskap i ledande fält samt ointresse kollegor emellan. Mitt syfte med studien är att få en inblick i verksamheten på fritidshemmen och hur lärare ser på sin yrkesroll samt hur de tar sig an de dubbla uppdragen som legitimationen i skolämnet bild medför. Jag har valt en kvalitativ metod för mina intervjuer och mitt urval var sex lärare i fritidshem som arbetar på skolor runt Stockholm. Jag har använt mig av Roger Säljös tolkning av den sociokulturella teorin, vars grundtanke är att lärande sker i samspel mellan en grupp människor och individ. Min underökning visar att det är yttre faktorer som styr och påverkar fritidslärarens val och förutsättningar samt att den traditionella skolan prioriteras. Trots lärarnas osäkerhet på vad deras yrkesidentitet ska kallas på fritidshemmet, har ändå bildutbildningen stärkt deras självförtroende och hur de idag undervisar eleverna.

Individens upplevda identitet i ett företagande samhälle - En kvalitativ studie om den egenföretagande redovisningskonsultens upplevelse av sin yrkes- och personliga identitet

During the last decade there has been a major change in the labour market where the work has become more limitless and the number of entrepreneurs has increased. This study analyses how self-employed female accountant experience their personal identity and professional identity. Central questions are the individual experience of the personal- and professional identity, the connection between them and which importance self-employment has for the perceived personal identity. Previous research indicates that there are several separate studies about self-employed, accountant and identity but not in a combination with each other, which lays the foundation for the study's relevance. The theoretical starting points are Erving Goffman's stigma theory and the dramaturgical perspective as well as concepts about the boundless work and identity. The study is based on a qualitative research method in which five semi-structured interviews have been conducted. The results indicate that there is a connection between the personal identity and the professional identity. Besides, it emerged that the role of self-employed has importance for the perceived personal identity. / Under det senaste decenniet har stora förändring skett på arbetsmarknaden där arbetet blivit allt mer gränslöst och antalet egenföretagare ökat i omfattning. Studien undersöker hur egenföretagande kvinnliga redovisningskonsulter upplever sin personliga identitet och yrkesidentitet. Centrala frågor är individens upplevelse av sin personliga- och yrkesidentitet, kopplingen dem emellan samt vilken betydelse egenföretagande har för individens upplevda personliga identitet. Den tidigare forskningen tyder på att det finns ett flertal separata studier om egenföretagare, redovisningskonsulter och identitet men inte i kombination med varandra, vilket ger upphov till studiens relevans. De teoretiska utgångspunkterna är Erving Goffmans stigmateori och det dramaturgiska perspektivet samt begreppen gränslöst arbete och identitet. Studien utgår från en kvalitativ forskningsmetod där fem semistrukturerade intervjuer har genomförts. Studiens resultat visar att det finns en koppling mellan den personliga identiteten och yrkesidentiteten hos urvalsgruppen. Ytterligare framkom det att rollen som egenföretagare har en betydelse för individens upplevda personliga identitet.

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to examine the professional identities oflibrarians with special focus on User Experience (UX). To achieve this aimwe have used the four professional identities described by Jenny Lindberg,the communicative identity, the technical identity, the academic identity andthe conservative identity. We have interviewed seven librarians at fivedifferent academic libraries in Sweden that works with UX. In the analysis ofour empirical material we found that the identity most represented among theinformants was the communicative identity while the conservative identitywas seen by the informants as their anthesis. Furthermore we added apotential fifth identity, the progressive identity.

Pension i relation till yrkesidentitet. : En kvalitativ kandidatuppsats i arbetsvetenskap.

Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka informanternas relation till pension i förhållande till upplevd yrkesidentitet. Syftet kommer besvaras genom att vi undersöker två frågeställningar. I första hand utforskas hur informanterna uttrycker sig angående pension i förhållande till upplevd yrkesidentitet. Vår förförståelse är att de informanter som upplever stark yrkesidentitet också vill gå i sen pension. Vi utforskar även hur informanterna uttrycker sig kring pension utifrån ett intersektionellt perspektiv. Det intersektionella perspektivet bidrar med nyanseringar kring aspekter som påverkat deras förhållningssätt till pension, detta sätts sedan i kontrast till tidigare forskning och teori. Empirin samlas in genom semistrukturerade intervjuer och analys av materialet sker genom kodning. Resultatet visar på att vår ovan beskrivna förförståelse angående yrkesidentitet inte införlivas. Hög eller låg yrkesidentitet har inte en stor inverkan på informanternas tankar kring pension. Andra faktorer var mer relevanta för informanterna. Den andra frågeställningen besvaras genom att resultatet sätts i kontrast till tidigare forskning och teori. De slutsatser som vi drar utifrån den andra frågeställningen är att vår förförståelse som skapats genom tidigare forskning och teori kan delvis införlivas vid analysen. Slutligen i resultat och analys reflekterar vi över empiri som inte svarar till våra två frågor men som bidragit med intressanta forskningsmöjligheter kring ämnet, pension. / The purpose of the thesis is to examine the interviewees relationship to retirement in relation to perceived professional identity. The purpose will be answered by examining two questions. It’s explored how the interviewees express themselves regarding retirement in relation to perceived professional identity. The pre-understanding is that the interviewees who experience a strong professional identity also want to retire late. We also explore how the interviewees express themselves about retirement from an intersectional perspective. The intersectional perspective contributes with nuances around aspects that have influenced their approach to retirement, this is then contrasted with previous research and theory. The empirics are collected through semi structured interviews and analysis of the material takes place through coding and discourse analysis. The results show that our above-described pre-understanding regarding professional identity is not incorporated. High or low professional identity does not have a major impact on the interviewee's thoughts on retirement. Other factors were more relevant to the interviewees. The second question is answered by contrasting the results with previous research and theory. The conclusions we draw based on the second question are that our pre-understanding created through previous research and theory can be partially incorporated into the analysis. Finally, in the results and analysis, we reflect on empirical data that do not answer our two questions but that have contributed interesting hypotheses on the subject, retirement.
