What's in it for me?

Åkerblom, Ellen, Gustafsson, My, Lind, Matilda January 2019 (has links)
The concept of formal networks is widely spread and appreciated as a way of building long-term relationships and creating value for the company. Value contains a number of different meanings and can therefore be valued differently by different people and businesses. This thesis focus on micro companies and how they create value through formal business networks. The thesis is all through divided into four different themes; networking, intentions, values and problems with formal networks. The themes are focusing on both aspects from theory and our seven respondents. The data collected through theories as well as interviews with members and former members has given a conclusion of what is most important while being in a formal network. The respondents had different views on what exactly they wanted to get out of being active in business networks. Overall we got a clear picture of the importance of goals, dedication, curiosity, loyalty, trust and preparation while attending a formal network.

Then I don´t have to lag behind" : - A study on distance education as a tool in problematic school absenteeism

Zimmerman, Joanna January 2021 (has links)
Zimmerman, Joanna (2021). / Zimmerman, Joanna (2021).  "Then I do not have to lag behind".  Special Education Program, Department of School Development and Leadership, Learning and Society, Malmö University, 90 credits. The study strives to provide new perspectives for school attendance and to approach a problematic approach to school and the digital age. The purpose of the study is to investigate whether - and if so in what ways - digital teaching methods and distance education lead to an increased attendance for students with problematic school absenteeism in primary school. A socio-cultural perspective with elements of systems theory is the basis for the work and the study has been carried out with mixed methods as there have been surveys in a feasibility study which has then resulted in semi-structured interviews with some written collection. The results of the study show that there are varying types of treatment and efforts that apply in schools' efforts to increase the attendance of students with problematic school absenteeism. The special educator should be seen as a natural coordinator in the school system who collaborates with both current and external professionalism in social, psychosocial and digital collaboration and organization. Research (Skolinspektionen 2017) shows that there is no proper coordination and sustainability in relation to problematic school absenteeism. The measures and activities that have been documented so far have shown a fragmentation in companies' attempts to achieve relationship / and motivation-creating activity to achieve a greater sense of context and participation in the student, as well as promote relationships with teachers, students and the school environment.

: A qualitative interview study on the social secretary´s perception of the good relationship

Ångbäck, Sanna January 2020 (has links)
The social services use of standardization manuals and assessment models are increasing at the same time as research shows that the relationship is the foundation and a prerequisite for all client work. There is a hint that the relationship between client and social worker has become more administrative and legal as a result of structural requirements. Therefore there is a need to study how the requirements for standardization manuals affect clients and the relationship between client and social worker. The purpose of this study is to examine the social secretary's perceptions of the relationship's importance in social work and whether standardization manuals have an impact on the relationship between social worker and client. The study was based on a qualitative approach where semi-structured interviews was used as data collection method. The results show, among other things, that a good relationship between social workers and client is significant for social work. The results also show that standardization manuals, despite being important, affect the opportunities to create a good relationship.

Fagernäs, Filip, Folkesson, Sarah January 2021 (has links)
As it has become increasingly important in the sports world for organizations to try to raise capital, sponsorship has become more significant. As a result, the sports associations receive the financial assets they need from the companies and in exchange, the companies receive exposure in return for example. There has been a discussion as to whether this exposure really affects companies and whether it is really possible to measure its effect. The purpose of the study is to identify how companies proceed when evaluating the effect of sponsorship and what their goals and requirements are for the sports clubs or sporting events they sponsor. The study will also identify whether there are certain factors that affect companies when choosing a sports organization that they choose to sponsor. The essay is limited in such a way that the sponsorship will be seen from the companies' perspective and not take into account how the sponsorship object views this marketing tool. Another limitation is that the study will only deal with companies that sponsor sports organizations or sporting events because sport is something that represents unique values. These unique values are explained in the essay. A qualitative research strategy has been applied in the form of qualitative semi-structured interviews. To analyze the phenomenon, the theoretical frame of reference consists of the A-ERIC model, the SMART-model and Brand Equity. Evaluating the effect of sponsorship proved to be complex for companies. Although companies set clear goals and used different evaluation models, it could only be measured to a certain extent. There was a small difference between the companies' goals and requirements with sponsorship, where some focused more on the sports organizations taking social responsibility, like the companies themselves. Others claimed that relationship building within the sports network was of the utmost importance. One factor in choosing a sports organization was that some companies wanted to feel an added value with the sponsorship, and some wanted a local connection to the sports association.

Yates, Charl 30 November 2004 (has links)
Summaries in Afrikaans and English / This research has shown that young people of different cultural groups have had and still have limited contact due to the history of our country. This contributed to the fact that there were, and still are, very few opportunities to build relationships. An introductory chapter in which the research methodology is explained, is followed by a discussion utilizing recent literature, of the question how the building of relationships can take place within the context of a diverse youth ministry (chapter 2). It became clear that the church, in its ministry to diverse youth groups, should create opportunities where the quality of relationships can be enhanced. In the research it was found that experiential learning activities, such as initiative activities, could have a positive influence on interpersonal skills in intercultural relationships (chapters 3 and 4). In chapter 5, firstly, certain conclusions were drawn. Secondly, recommendations were made and guidelines formulated regarding the building of relationships in the ministry to diverse youth groups. Att skapa rummet i rummet : – Om sjukhuskuratorers metoder för relationsskapande i vårdmiljö / Creating a room within the room : - healthcare social workers' methods for relationship building in a hospital setting

Akne, Liv January 2022 (has links)
On the ward, healthcare social workers often speak to patients in rooms without the possibility of privacy or quiet. The aim of this paper is to examine which methods healthcare social workers (HSW's) use to build relationships and create a holding environment in these settings, and how they are used in practice. Findings from this qualitative interview study show that there are several methods that HSW’s can use – both physical and verbal. They also employ several methods to block out disturbances from other patients and personnel, as well as methods to create safety and predictability in order to establish a holding environment for patients. These methods are often used together and adapted to each situation. The group of HSW's interviewed in this study draw knowledge from both education and practice, and are concordant in their views even though they often work alone.

Wahlberg, Benjamin, Hosseini, Sahra January 2023 (has links)
This study aims to investigate how professional healthcare counselors use conversational methodology to create relationships with patients in clinical practice, as well as how they solve potential obstacles and difficulties that may arise in building a relationship. This area of research is interesting to investigate because of the healthcare counselor license that was introduced back in 2019, and there is considered a need for further research on healthcare counselor’s work with relationship building in a Swedish context. The study is based on an abductive approach and used semi-structured interviews when collecting data. Empirical data has been collected through four interviews with professional healthcare counselors in Sweden. The data has been analyzed using thematic content analysis and the theory of the contextual model. The results of the study show that relationship building, and an empathetic approach are the basis for the work of the healthcare counselor. Healthcare counselors use conversational methodology to create and maintain a good relationship with patients. Highlighted conversational methodology is general such as silence, feedback, confirmation, active listening, finding a common ground and using non-verbal signals to show understanding and empathy for the patient. The interviewed healthcare counselors stated that the obstacles they may experience in building relationships were, among other things, when the patient is going through a crisis, the influence of other external relationships, lack of communication and misunderstanding. In order to resolve said obstacles, the counselors strove to be attentive, listen to the patient's perspective and willing to admit if they acted wrongly or insensitively and take responsibility. The study intends to contribute with additional research in the field of healthcare counselors’ work with relationship building in a Swedish context.

Marcusson, Emma, Gustavsson, Sofia January 2023 (has links)
This essay discusses the relationship between the employees at Swedish municipalities working at labor market units and their participants. The aim is to understand how their big room for action affects how they see their role and what this does to the help they are able to give the participants. The aim is also to give insight into how other organizations play a role in the creation of trust between the participants and the employees. This is done by breaking down the aim in two different questions: Question 1: How do the employees in labor market interventions view their service based on their room for action within the business and how does this affect their relationship with the client? Question 2: How do the employees use their room for action to help the participants orient themselves in the authority landscape? The data has been collected using a qualitative method and interviews with ten employees at four municipalities have been conducted. The theories used are aspects from the following theories: emotion sociology, professionalism and grassroots bureaucrats. The main findings are that the employees use their own personal life and personalities to make connections with the participants. They go outside of the realm of their job if they think it will help the participants and every employee makes a distinction in where to draw the line regarding what is part of their job.
