Promoção da alimentação adequada e saudável na escola: limites e possibilidades de uma proposta educacional / Healthy eating promotion at school: limits and possibilities of an educational proposal

Introdução: As práticas alimentares são resultantes de decisões, conscientes ou não, relacionadas à cultura alimentar de sua região, à tradição alimentar de seu convívio social e às transformações decorridas do acesso à informação científica e popular. Neste sentido, torna-se fundamental estimular a autonomia dos indivíduos para que realizem escolhas alimentares adequadas e saudáveis, o que demanda um consciente processo educativo. Nesse propósito, a educação alimentar e nutricional desempenha função estratégica na promoção de hábitos saudáveis. Objetivo: Propor e avaliar o efeito de uma intervenção nutricional educativa, com base na metodologia da problematização, para a promoção de alimentação saudável em estudantes dos 6os anos de uma escola municipal de São José dos Campos (SP). Métodos: Realizou-se um estudo de intervenção com duração de 6 meses. O estudo desenvolveu-se em três etapas distintas: diagnóstico, intervenção e avaliação. Na fase de intervenção foi proposto um programa educativo com 8 atividades práticas com a finalidade de ampliar o conhecimento, habilidades e atitudes positivas entre os adolescentes em relação a alimentação saudável por meio da pedagogia da problematização. Para avaliar os efeitos da intervenção, foram coletados dados antropométricos, de práticas alimentares e qualitativos por meio de avaliação antropométrica, questionário semi-estruturado e grupos focais, nas etapas de diagnóstico e avaliação. A interpretação e análise dos dados qualitativos baseou-se no método da análise de conteúdo. Resultados: As atividades de intervenção foram construídas com base nas questões identificadas nos grupos focais pré-intervenção, referentes às crenças e conhecimentos, comportamentos, percepções e barreiras para uma alimentação saudável. Ao final da intervenção, os alunos elaboraram um jornal educativo sobre alimentação e nutrição que foi distribuído em toda a comunidade escolar. As modificações identificadas foram a ampliação do conhecimento nutricional e a intenção de mudanças positivas na alimentação como o aumento do consumo de frutas, verduras e legumes e redução do consumo de doces e demais industrializados. Conclusões: A intervenção mostrou-se eficaz na ampliação do conhecimento sobre alimentação e nutrição e os alunos demonstraram a intenção de realizar mudanças em relação às práticas alimentares inadequadas. / Introduction: Eating habits are the result of decisions, conscious or not, linked to regional food culture, to the food traditions and the changes resulting from the access to scientific and popular information. For this reason, it is fundamental to foster autonomy of individuals to make healthier food choices, which demands an educational process. In this way, food and nutritional education plays a strategic role on promoting healthy eating habits. Objective: To suggest and evaluate the effectiveness of a nutrition education intervention, to promote healthy eating among 6th grade students from a public school in São José dos Campos (SP-Brazil). Methods: An intervention study with 6 months duration conducted in three stages: diagnosis, intervention and evaluation. In the intervention stage, an educational program was proposed with 8 practical activities in order to increase knowledge, abilities and positive attitudes among teenagers towards healthy eating through Freire\'s problematization pedagogy. Anthropometric, eating behavior and qualitative data were collected in order to assess the effectiveness of the intervention, through anthropometric measurements, semi-structured questionnaire and focus group, at the stage of diagnosis and evaluation. The interpretation and analysis of qualitative data was done based on the method of content analysis. Results: The intervention activities based on issues identified in the pre-intervention focus groups, about beliefs and knowledge, behaviors, perceptions and barriers to healthy eating. At the end of the intervention, an educational journal developed by students about food and nutrition was distributed throughout the school community. The identified changes are the expansion of nutritional knowledge and intent of positive changes in diet with increased consumption of fruits and vegetables, and reduced consumption of junk food. Conclusions: The intervention was effective in improving knowledge about food and nutrition and the students have an intention to make changes in relation to inappropriate eating behaviors.

Essas mudanças são pouco conhecidas devido aos dados insuficientes da literatura científica na região rural. O presente estudo teve como objetivo descrever a disponibilidade de alimentos no domicílio dos escolares no ensino fundamental da rede municipal de ensino da zona rural de Pelotas, RS. Foi realizado um estudo transversal, do tipo censo de base escolar, realizado com os pais/responsáveis de escolares matriculados no ensino fundamental das 21 escolas municipais da zona rural de Pelotas, RS. Para avaliação da disponibilidade domiciliar de alimentos, foi utilizado o questionário do Projeto EAT-III. As variáveis independentes incluídas dos pais/responsáveis foram sexo, idade, escolaridade, condição de trabalho, número de pessoas que moram no domicílio e local de aquisição dos alimentos. Todos os dados foram coletados através de questionário autoaplicado preenchido por 1126 pais/responsáveis. Observou-se que os alimentos in natura são mais disponíveis no domicílio e que os produtos ultraprocessados, em sua maioria, são adquiridos em comércios da zona urbana. A escolaridade apresentou relação direta com a disponibilidade de frutas, cereais, embutidos, suco artificial, congelados e guloseimas. Os aposentados são aqueles que possuem maior disponibilidade dos alimentos in natura ou minimamente processados e gorduras. Sobre o número de pessoas que moram no domicílio observou-se que todos os alimentos, com exceção das frutas, foram mais disponíveis nos locais com maior número de moradores. Os resultados demonstram maior acesso e presença de alimentos in natura nos domicílios, revelam que a aquisição de produtos ultraprocessados ocorre majoritariamente na zona urbana do município e aponta associação dos alimentos disponíveis com os fatores socioeconômicos da população estudada. / Nutritional transition in Brazil happens in rural and urban areas, but at different speeds. These changes are largely unknown due to insufficient data from the scientific literature in the countryside. This study aims to describe the household food availability from school in primary school teaching municipal rural area of Pelotas, RS. A cross-sectional, type census of school-based, conducted with parents of school children enrolled in primary school of 21 municipal schools in the rural area of Pelotas, RS. For assessment of household food availability, used questionnaire Project EAT-III. Independent variables included of parents were sex, schooling, working condition, number of residents and place of purchase of food. All data were collected through a self-administered questionnaire completed by 1,126 parents. It was observed that fruits and vegetables are more available at home and that ultraprocessados food mostly are purchased in supermarkets of urban area. Schooling presented a direct tendency with fruits, cereals, sausages, artificial juice, frozen and treats, revealing an important marker in food availability. The retirees are those with greater availability of food raw or minimally processed and fats. About number of residents observed that all foods, except fruits, were more availability in places with greatest number of residents. The results suggest greater acess to fruits and vegetables, and also the need to purchase ultraprocessados food in the urban area of city, in addition to showing association of food available to the socioeconomic factors of the population.

”Äiti, täällä on toisia samanlaisia, ku mä!”:voimisteluseura ja kouluterveydenhuolto perheiden tukena lasten painonhallinnassa

Abstract Childhood obesity is a growing national and international problem. Besides causing health problems, obesity puts a significant burden on national economy. The aim of this study was to find new information and methods with which school health care and gymnastics associations could collaborate to help families with overweight children in their weight control efforts. This study examines the experiences and perceptions on the reasons for childhood obesity and problems related to weight control among families in Oulu (n=10), school nurses and doctors in Oulu Province (n=170) and actors (n=243) involved in associations belonging to the Finnish Gymnastics Federation that arrange activities for children and adolescents. The study was implemented as action study, in which the researcher led a group aimed at parents. During the year-long intervention the children attended an exercise group with a designated leader. Parents participated once a month in the group sessions together with their children. During the children’s session the parents got together 1-2 times per month to discuss or to exercise. Data were collected through interviews with parents, measurements, interviews with children and surveys aimed at school nurses, doctors and gymnastic association actors in 2006 and 2009. The data were analysed using inductive content analysis. The interviews with parents showed that hectic pace of life, work-related fatigue, parental unemployment, socioeconomic factors and a number of changes in the children’s lives gave rise to uncertainty in the children, who might react to it by eating. The families felt that they did not get enough support from health care on weight control-related matters, while representatives of school health care and gymnastics associations criticised parents’ “inability” to act as adults in the family. Due to the children’s poor motor skills, increased childhood obesity was seen in the gymnastics association as complicating the work of coaches. Supporting a regular daily rhythm in families, supporting activities and developing opportunities for family exercise seem to be of significance in children’s weight control. Introduction to exercise among overweight children was facilitated by setting up a special exercise group for them. The readiness for multiprofessional collaboration among school nurses and representatives of gymnastics associations increased during the research process. The working methods of school nurses must be improved so that they, as members of a primary health care expert team, can influence problems in families that may result in overweight in children. The know-how and nationwide operation of gymnastics associations should be made use of in children’s weight control. / Tiivistelmä Lasten lihavuus on kasvava sekä kansallinen että kansainvälinen ongelma. Terveyshaittojen lisäksi lihavuuden aiheuttamat kansantaloudelliset kustannukset ovat merkittäviä. Tämän tutkimuksen tarkoituksena oli löytää uutta tietoa ja keinoja, joilla kouluterveydenhuolto ja voimisteluseurat voisivat yhteistyössä auttaa liikapainoisten lasten perheitä lasten painonhallinnassa. Työssä tutkitaan oululaisten perheiden (n=10), Oulun läänin kouluterveydenhoitajien ja koululääkäreiden (n=170) sekä Suomen voimisteluliiton lasten ja nuorten toimintaa järjestävien seurojen toimijoiden (n=243) kokemuksia ja näkemyksiä lasten lihavuuden syistä ja painonhallintaan liittyvistä ongelmista. Tutkimus toteutettiin toimintatutkimuksena, jossa tutkija toimi vanhempien ryhmän ohjaajana. Vuoden kestävän intervention aikana lapsilla oli kerran viikossa oma liikuntaryhmä ja ohjaaja, vanhemmat osallistuivat lasten kanssa yhteiselle tunnille kerran kuukaudessa. Lasten tuntien aikana vanhemmat kokoontuivat 1-2 kertaa kuukaudessa keskustelemaan tai liikkumaan yhdessä. Tutkimusaineistoa kerättiin vanhempien haastatteluilla, mittauksilla, lasten haastattelulla ja kouluterveydenhoitajien ja koululääkäreiden sekä voimisteluseurojen toimijoiden kyselyllä vuosina 2006 ja 2009. Aineisto analysoitiin induktiivisella sisällön analyysilla. Vanhempien haastatteluista kävi ilmi, että kiire, työn aiheuttama väsymys, vanhempien työttömyys, sosioekonomiset asiat sekä monet muutokset lapsen elämässä hämmensivät lasta, joka saattoi reagoida epävarmuuteen syömällä. Perheet kokivat, etteivät he saaneet painonhallinta-asioissa riittävästi tukea terveydenhuollolta. Kouluterveydenhuollon ja voimisteluseurojen edustajat puolestaan kritisoivat vanhempien ”voimattomuutta” olla aikuinen perheessä. Voimisteluseuroissa lasten liikapainon lisääntyminen näkyi lasten heikkojen motoristen taitojen vuoksi ohjaajien työn vaikeutumisena. Perheiden säännöllisen päivärytmin ja toiminnan tukemisella sekä perheliikunnan kehittämisellä näyttäisi olevan merkitystä lasten painonhallinnassa. Liikapainoisten lasten liikuntaan totuttelua tuki oman liikuntaryhmän perustaminen. Kouluterveydenhoitajien ja voimisteluseurojen edustajien valmius monitahoiseen yhteistyöhön lisääntyi tutkimusprosessin aikana. Kouluterveydenhoitajien työtapoja tulee kehittää niin, että he voivat perus-terveydenhuollon asiantuntijaryhmän jäseninä vaikuttaa perheen todellisiin ongelmiin, joista lasten liikapaino saattaa olla seurausta. Lasten painonhallinnassa tulee hyödyntää voimisteluseuroissa olevaa osaamista ja valtakunnallisesti laajaa toimintaa.

Ruído em ambiente escolar: desenvolvimento e verificação da eficácia de um programa de promoção de saúde auditiva / Noise in school environment: development and verification of the efficacy of an auditory health promotion program

INTRODUÇÃO: O ruído é considerado, mundialmente, como um problema de saúde pública. No ambiente escolar, o ruído é um fator de grande preocupação, devido a seus impactos e prejuízos, tanto para os alunos como para os funcionários, incluindo os professores. Os danos do ruído para as crianças podem englobar efeitos auditivos, de saúde em geral e cognitivos, afetando negativamente o desenvolvimento da aprendizagem. Dificuldades de concentração e engajamento, além de prejuízos para o sono e memória também são relatados. Muitas pesquisas vêm demonstrando que o ruído em salas de aula encontra-se acima dos valores recomendados. Desta forma, estudos que busquem a promoção da saúde auditiva e a conscientização da comunidade escolar com relação ao ruído são fundamentais, uma vez que podem contribuir para a melhoria da qualidade de vida dos atores envolvidos, bem como para a constituição de um ambiente acústico mais propício para a saúde e aprendizagem. OBJETIVOS: O objetivo geral do presente estudo foi o desenvolvimento e a verificação da eficácia de um programa de promoção de saúde auditiva em uma escola particular. Os objetivos específicos foram a verificação dos níveis de pressão sonora existentes nas dependências da escola antes e após o programa de intervenção; as queixas e o grau de desconforto com relação ao ruído dos alunos e dos professores da escola, por meio da aplicação de questionários específicos, pré e pós-intervenção; e a elaboração de uma proposta coletiva de intervenção na escola, norteada pelo Modelo Ecológico de Promoção da Saúde. MÉTODO: Participaram deste estudo alunos e funcionários de uma escola particular em Santana de Parnaíba, São Paulo. Os procedimentos realizados incluíram medições dos níveis de pressão sonora pré e pós-intervenção das salas de aulas e demais espaços da escola, aplicação de questionários pré e pós-intervenção nos alunos e professores para verificação de sintomas auditivos, extra-auditivos e grau de incômodo com o ruído no ambiente escolar. Além disso, foram realizadas as intervenções propriamente ditas, que foram desenvolvidas em conjunto a equipe da escola e alunos. RESULTADOS: Ao comparar as medições pré e pós-intervenção, pode-se observar diminuição estatisticamente significante dos níveis de ruído em determinadas salas de aula e anfiteatro. Já para outros espaços coletivos, como biblioteca e cantina, os níveis de ruído permaneceram sem diferença significante. Os questionários pré e pós-intervenção mostraram uma maior consciência acerca do ruído e intervenções efetivas para diminuição deste nas salas de aula. As intervenções realizadas conseguiram abranger todos os níveis propostos pelo Modelo Ecológico de Promoção da Saúde, com exceção do nível de políticas públicas. As ações tiveram caráter educativo, pedagógico, comunitário e físico, bem como foram desenvolvidas e implementadas em conjunto com a equipe pedagógica da escola e com os alunos. A escola realizou tratamento acústico nos espaços definidos como prioritários. CONCLUSÃO: Pode-se verificar que o programa desenvolvido, juntamente com a escola, teve impactos positivos, tais como redução nos níveis de ruído, mudanças no ambiente (tratamento acústico), bem como na cultura escolar, em relação à diminuição do ruído / INTRODUCTION: Noise is described worldwide as a public health problem. In the school environment, noise is a major concern due to the impacts and impairment it may cause in students and staff, including teachers. In the range of damage that noise may cause in children, we may enlist auditory problems, general health and also cognitive effects, which may affect their learning development. In some cases, difficulties with memory, concentration and also sleep are reported. Several studies have shown that noise in classroom is, commonly, above the recommended values. Thus, researches that aim to promote hearing health and awareness of the school community regarding noise are fundamental, since they can contribute to the improvement of life quality for education professionals, as well as for providing better acoustic environment for health and learning. PURPOSE: The overall aim of the present study was to develop and verify the efficacy of a hearing health promotion program in a private school. The specific objectives were to verify the sound pressure levels in the school before and after the intervention program; the complaints and the degree of discomfort regarding the noise of students and teachers from the school, through specific questionnaires, applied before and after intervention; and the elaboration of a collective intervention proposal in the school, guided by the Ecological Model of Health Promotion. METHODS: Participated in this study, students and employees from a private school of Santana de Parnaíba, São Paulo. The procedures performed included measurements of sound pressure pre and post intervention in the classrooms and in several environment of the school; we applied pre and post intervention questionnaires in students and teachers to verify auditory and extra-auditory symptoms and the degree of annoyance concerning noise in the school environment. Besides, we conducted intervention acts which were defined jointly with the school staff and students. RESULTS: Comparing pre and post-intervention measurements, a statistically significant reduction of noise levels was observed in some classrooms and in the amphitheater. On the other hand, for other collective places, such as library and canteen, noise levels remained without significant difference. The pre and post intervention questionnaires showed a greater awareness about noise and effective interventions to reduce it in classrooms. The interventions that we performed were effective to cover all levels proposed by the Ecological Model of Health Promotion, apart from the level of public policies. The actions were educational, pedagogical, community and physical, and they were developed and implemented in partnership with the pedagogical team and students. The school performed acoustic treatment in the spaces defined as priority. CONCLUSION: We verified that the developed program which was conducted along with the school, achieved positive impacts, such as noise levels reduction, changes in the environment (acoustic treatment), as well as in the habits of the school staff regarding noise reduction

Skolans hälsofrämjande arbete för barns psykiska hälsa : Elevhälsoteamets perspektiv / Mental health promotion among children in schools : A pupil health team perspective

Introduktion: Barns psykiska hälsa och lärande har reciprokt samband. Skolan tillhör samhällets främsta hälsofrämjande arena. Studier av hälsofrämjande insatser i skolan visar skiftande utfall och att hela skolmiljön behöver inkluderas. I Sverige står elevhälsans hälsofrämjande arbete i centrum för förbättringsåtgärder. Syfte: Utforska hur medlemmarna i elevhälsoteam uppfattar det hälsofrämjande arbetet för psykisk hälsa i skolan. Metod: Fokusgruppintervjuer med elevhälsoteam (förskoleklass-åk 6) i sex kommuner i sydöstra Sverige. 29 deltagare med professionerna: kurator, specialpedagog, speciallärare, psykolog, skolsköterska och rektor. Dataanalys med kvalitativ konventionell innehållsanalys. Resultat: I skolans hälsofrämjande arbete för barns psykiska hälsa spelar alla vuxna en viktig roll. Arbetet uppfattas ske i tre sammanlänkade processer där Reflektioner om Hälsa och Lärande är centralt. Värdegrundsarbetet bidrar till samsyn, öppenhet och trygg lärmiljö. Det Elevnära arbetet innebär att anpassa, inspirera, skapa relationer och trygga rutiner. Elevhälsoteamens arbete har central roll i kartläggning av elevers hälsa och lärande, handledning av personal, och samverkan med hälso- och sjukvården och social omsorg där brister finns i kommunikation. Behov finns av mer gemensam reflektion kring barn med psykisk ohälsa. Personal i skolan reflekterar utifrån Kännedom om och samarbete med närsamhället vilket tillför verklighetsnära kunskap om elevers livsvillkor och engagemang för barn från socioekonomiskt svagare hem. Hinder finns i samverkan med vårdnadshavare och ökad interaktion med närsamhället eftersträvas. Konklusion: I Skolan tillämpas salutogen teori och barnrättsperspektivet. Reflektioner kring elevers hälsa och lärande leder till förbättring och spridning av hälsofrämjande strategier. Studien ledde fram till en modell som illustrerar förhållandet mellan olika roller och processer i skolans hälsofrämjande arbete och i relation till närsamhället och andra aktörer. Reflektioner behöver tydliggöras och ges ökat utrymme. Värdegrundsarbetet behöver inkludera all personal och ske kontinuerligt. Elevhälsoteamens roll i koordination av insatser för elever med psykisk ohälsa är central. Teamen kan stärka sitt deltagande i beslutsfattande- och policyskapande arbete, samverkan med vårdnadshavare och närsamhället för att förbättra och utvidga skolan som hälsofrämjande arena. / Introduction: Children’s mental health and learning have a reciprocal relationship, and schools are one of society’s main health promotion settings. Studies of health promotion in schools show varying results. In Sweden, pupil health promotion work is at the core of improvement efforts. Purpose: To explore how the members of pupil health teams perceive mental health promotion practice in their schools. Method: Focus group interviews with pupil health teams (school years 1-6) in six municipalities in southeastern Sweden. There were 29 participants, including professions such as counsellor, special teacher, special educator, psychologist, school nurse and principal. Data analysis with qualitative conventional content analysis. Results: In schools’ mental health promotion among pupils, all adults play an important role. Promotion was seen to take place in three interconnected processes where reflection on health and learning is central: Work on values contributes to consensus, openness and a safe learning environment. Work near pupils involves customizing, inspiring and creating confident relationships and safe routines for pupils. Pupil health teams’ work has a central role in the mapping of pupils’ health and learning, staff guidance and collaboration with other stakeholders such as health care and social care services where there is a lack of communication and a need for common reflection. Knowledge of and cooperation with the local community adds real life knowledge of pupils’ life conditions and a commitment to children from socioeconomically weaker homes. Obstacles exist in collaboration with parents, and increased interaction with the local community is sought. Conclusion: In schools, the salutogenic theory and a child rights perspective are applied. Reflections about pupils’ health and learning lead to the improvement and spread of health promoting strategies. The study contributes a model which may help to clarify collaboration and the relationship between various roles and processes in health promotion work in schools, as well as interaction with the local community and other stakeholders. Reflections need to be clarified and given increased space. The role of the pupil health teams in coordinating interventions for pupils with mental illness is central. Bakgrund: I Sverige år 2015 fanns det ungefär 18 000 högstadieelever med ogiltig upprepad frånvaro. Det finns samband mellan skolfrånvaro och sämre självupplevd hälsa och inom elevhälsan har skolsköterskan kompetens att identifiera och förhindra ohälsa. Skolsköterskor har en viktig roll att stödja elever med ohälsa. Därför är det viktigt att beskriva skolsköterskors erfarenheter av arbetet med högstadieelever med omfattande skolfrånvaro.Syfte: Syftet var att beskriva skolsköterskors erfarenheter av arbetet med högstadieelever med omfattande skolfrånvaro.Metod: En kvalitativ induktiv design. Ett ändamålsenligt urval gjordes och nio skolsköterskor verksamma på nio olika skolor i Sverige deltog. Individuella semistrukturerade intervjuer genomfördes och intervjuernas manifesta innehåll analyserades med kvalitativ innehållsanalys. Resultat: Ett tidigt initierat teamarbete där eleven är en viktig del i teamet är betydelsefullt i arbetet med att stödja högstadieelever med omfattande skolfrånvaro. Att skolsköterskan är närvarande genom att vara fysiskt tillgänglig och genom att bry sig om eleven är viktigt för att stödja eleven. Slutsats: Ett fungerande teamarbete där elevens berättelse är central är betydelsefullt. Genom att arbeta personcentrerat och använda arbetsmodellen gemensam problemlösning erhålls en arbetsstruktur där teamarbete möjliggörs och där eleven blir en viktig medlem i teamet. / Background: In Sweden in 2015, there were approximately 18 000 high school students with repeated invalid absence. There is a connection between school absence and poorer self-perceived health and in student health, school nurses have competence in identifying and preventing illness. School nurses have an important role in supporting students with ill health. Therefore, it is important to describe school nurses' experiences of working with high school students with extensive school absence.Aim: The aim was to describe school nurses’ experiences of working with high school students with extensive school absenteeism.Method: Purposive sampling was made and nine school nurses working at nine different schools in Sweden participated. Individual semistructured interviews were conducted and the manifest content of the interviews was analyzed with qualitative content analysis. Result: An early initiated teamwork where the student is an important part of the team is important in the work of supporting high school students with extensive school absence. That the school nurse is present by being physically accessible and by caring for the student is important to support the student.Conclusion: A functioning team work where the student's story is central is important. By working person-centered and using the work model collaborative problem solving, a work structure is obtained where teamwork is made possible and where the student becomes an important member of the team.

[pt] O presente estudo se propõe a problematizar o monitoramento da imple-mentação do Programa Saúde na Escola (PSE) executado no município do Rio de Janeiro - PSE Carioca. Trata-se de uma política intersetorial municipal derivada de uma política federal com potencial para se constituir em instrumento efetivo na construção de uma Rede de Proteção Integral principalmente para as crianças da Educação Infantil. O trabalho apresenta a trajetória histórica da relação entre saú-de e escola para discutir o conceito de intersetorialidade utilizado no Programa Saúde na Escola e a relevância de sua implementação na Educação Infantil. Anali-samos os dados disponibilizados publicamente para avaliação e monitoramento do Programa em uma região específica do município do Rio de Janeiro. Trata-se de uma pesquisa documental e bibliográfica que conclui que o referido programa dentro da cidade do Rio de Janeiro, em especial na Educação Infantil, tem pro-blemas no registro de suas informações, o que prejudica a avaliação e o monito-ramento do Programa. Com base nas informações disponíveis também pudemos notar indícios de desigualdades em sua implementação, o que seria justamente o oposto do objetivo do Programa. Os dados obtidos em consonância com a literatu-ra sobre o tema nos levam a questionar se estamos diante de um programa de fato intersetorial ou se o que existe é apenas uma ação de saúde pontual que ocorre no espaço físico da escola. / [en] This study aims to problematize the monitoring of the implementation of the Health at School Program (PSE) in the municipality of Rio de Janeiro - PSE Carioca. This is an intersectoral municipal policy derived from a federal policy with the potential to become an effective instrument in the construction of a Com-prehensive Protection Network, especially for children in Early Childhood Educa-tion. The paper presents the historical trajectory of the relationship between health and schools in order to discuss the concept of intersectoriality used in the Health at School Program and the relevance of its implementation in Early Childhood Education. We analyzed publicly available data for evaluating and monitoring the Program in a specific region of the municipality of Rio de Janeiro. This is a doc-umentary and bibliographical study which concludes that this program in the city of Rio de Janeiro, especially in Early Childhood Education, has problems in re-cording its information, which hinders the evaluation and monitoring of the Pro-gram. Based on the information available, we also noticed signs of inequalities in its implementation, which would be the exact opposite of the program s objective. The data obtained, in line with the literature on the subject, leads us to question whether we are dealing with a truly intersectoral program or whether what exists is just a one-off health action that takes place in the physical space of the school.
