I Sverige råder idag en högkonjunktur i byggbranschen. De flesta städerna har brist på bostäder, vilket leder till långa köer, och pressen att bygga nytt är stor. Allt fler rekryteras till byggbranschen för att möta behovet. Byggarbetsplatser kräver att arbetarna har utrymmen som arbetarna kan nyttja på raster, administrativa arbeten och sköta hygienen i. Vanligen är dessa utrymmen i form av bodetableringar.I denna rapport undersöks hur bodetableringar kan utformas för att främja kommunikation, flöden och trivsel. Syftet är att ta fram konkreta förbättringsförslag gällande nämnda områden. För att få en bild av nuläget och identifiera förbättringsområden har författarna besökt ett antal etableringar, både från uppdragsgivaren Skanska och från andra företag. Personer från olika yrkesgrupper har intervjuats för att ta fram åsikter och förbättringsförslag från alla som har bodarna som sin arbetsplats. Utöver intervjuer och egna observationer gjordes en enkätundersökning för att få mer tyngd i de förbättringsförslag som uppkommit.Under arbetets gång visade det sig att utformning av bodetableringar ser mycket olika ut beroende på hur stort projektet är, vilket företag som har projektet samt hur platschefens preferenser ser ut. Generella lösningar togs fram på hur mindre respektive större etableringar bör utformas för att främja kommunikation. Även vilka visuella tavlor och medel som kan användas. Förslag presenteras på hur material kan anpassas i bodarna på ett lättare sätt och därmed kunna använda samma rum till olika saker. Faktorer gällande hur bodar kan inredas för att öka trivseln tas fram.Slutsatser har kunnat dras inom många olika områden. Bland annat att mer slumpvisa möten inom bodarna skulle förbättra kommunikation och trivsel. En neutral yta, gärna i anslutning till en invändig trappa, gör det lättare för folk att mötas. Kontor och konferensrum bör placeras på ett sätt som gör arbetsledare tillgängliga för yrkesarbetare samtidigt som platschef och konferensrum ska finnas närmare slutet på etableringen då det ska vara mindre spring kring dem. Ett bärlist-system med skenor i bodarna borde införas för att de ska vara lättare att sätta upp tavlor, hyllor och möbler samt göra om ett rum om det behövs. Idag läggs för lite fokus på inredning i bodarna. Många vill se mer växter, tavlor, mattor och liknande för att öka nivån av trivsel / The construction industry in Sweden today is a busy market. The demand for new residences is very high and many are recruited to the industry for companies to be able to meet the demand. Generally a construction site needs temporary construction facilities for staff to manage administrative tasks and have conferences, eat, rest, shower etc. The purpose of this study is to investigate how the temporary construction site facilities can be established to better promote communication, cooperation, flow of people, flow of material, comfort and well-being. To identify problem areas and potential solutions, interviews were conducted with people from different working categories. Through interviews and own observations, the authors chose popular potential solutions and improvement opportunities and tested them on larger amount of people in a survey.By visiting a number of construction sites and their temporary facilities it was found that there are many ways to establish them. General solutions were made for bigger and smaller establishments, for example where to allocate different workspaces or how to use visual management in the best way. Suggestions were made on how to adjust furniture easier by using a system of holding strips and rails. Factors such as a relax rooms, paintings and plants were suggested to would improve comfort and well-being.Finally, conclusions could be made in different areas. More random interaction between working categories would improve communication and promote a nice working environment. An area especially made for these interactions with a strategic placed coffee machine could increase interaction. Offices should be allocated in a way that makes the ones responsible for the blue collar workers easier to reach. The ones who perform more administrative tasks throughout the day, like the site manager, should be allocated far from the entrance, to minimize the risks of disruption. Conference rooms should be placed furthest in the establishment, in that way meetings will not be interrupted. Today there is too little focus on the little things that could improve comfort and well-being. More comfortable chairs, tables that can be adjusted in height, white walls and so on are examples on what could be done differently.

The aim of my diploma thesis was to review level of OHSAS 18001 requirement filfilment in a particular organisation. Inseparabily part of standard requirements is observing the state legislation. Since the firm chosen carry on business in SR, the teoretical part of the thesis compares czech and slovak state legislation with purpose of illustrating differences between czech and slovak legislative environment in field of occupational safety and health protection. Practical part of the thesis contains review of OHSAS 18001 requirements fulfilment in organization and evaluates the possibility of succesful certification.

Nowadays, most of the countries in the world are getting more and more dependent on each other, both politically and economically. Along with that, cultural clash comes inevitably influencing are private lives and working environment. Multinational companies get the opportunity of using the potential of diverse cultural environment which is challenging the managers, and other employees, to increase their competencies. The goal of this thesis is to identify the Indian cultural standards from the Czech point of view and the Czech ones from the Indian point of view. The theory of the thesis is based on cultural models by Geert Hofstede and Fons Trompenaars. The cultural standards are being identified by using the method of critical incidents where the selected respondents are being interviewed. The thesis analyses at which aspects the two examined cultures differ the most and how it influences the working environment and performance. The research results are compared to other theoretical models and the thesis provides recommendations on how to work with the identified standards in order to make the Indian-Czech cooperation as efficient as possible.

O meio ambiente do trabalho e a ação regressiva acidentária são os objetos de estudo do presente trabalho. O meio ambiente equilibrado, nele compreendido o do trabalho, é tratado pela Constituição Federal de 1988 como direito fundamental, indispensável à concretização do princípio-base da dignidade da pessoa humana, a ser obtida com o usufruto de uma sadia qualidade de vida. Por tal razão, diversos instrumentos jurídicos são disponibilizados pela ordem vigente para a tutela desse direito. A ação regressiva acidentária, prevista no art. 120 da Lei nº 8.213/91, é um desses instrumentos. Todavia, durante muito tempo foi praticamente ignorada pela Previdência Social, enquanto titular do direito/dever de regresso, omissão que, felizmente, vem sendo suprimida nos últimos anos pela atuação da Advocacia-Geral da União, através da Procuradoria-Geral Federal, que inseriu a ação regressiva acidentária entre suas ações prioritárias. A sociedade, por desconhecer o instituto, também não cobrava sua utilização, apesar do seu potencial de tutela do direito dos trabalhadores de exercerem suas atividades laborais em ambientes seguros e salubres, advindo, principalmente, do seu caráter pedagógico-punitivo. Sobre os valores sociais do trabalho fundamenta-se nossa República, sendo o exercício de atividades laborais elemento indispensável aos cidadãos para a consolidação desse direito. Contudo, não se trata de qualquer trabalho, mas aquele desempenhado em condições adequadas, sem riscos, que garanta a vida, a saúde e a integridade física e mental dos trabalhadores, pois somente com o atendimento desses pressupostos é que se efetiva o princípio da dignidade da pessoa humana. As estatísticas oficiais sobre os acidentes do trabalho no Brasil, ainda que só reflitam o quadro do emprego formal, evidenciam verdadeira afronta ao direito fundamental ao trabalho, ao meio ambiente equilibrado, nele incluído o do trabalho, e à dignidade da pessoa humana. Os princípios ambientais exercem importante papel no controle dos riscos laborais, motivo pelo qual devem servir de orientação a todos os responsáveis pela tutela do ambiente do trabalho em sua tarefa contínua de melhorar as condições desse meio. Por outro lado, os princípios constitucionais da ordem econômica precisam ser compatibilizados com o direito fundamental ao meio ambiente equilibrado, que vem a ser também um dever da coletividade. O clássico instituto da responsabilidade civil necessita ser reformulado para poder ser aplicado satisfatoriamente na esfera ambiental e isso vai além da mera pacificação acerca da sua incidência na modalidade objetiva. O dever de assumir as responsabilidades pelos riscos ambientais deve ser antecipado à ação, de modo a evitar as consequências sobre as quais tradicionalmente recai o instituto. O exercício do trabalho em ambientes dignos é direito que deve ser garantido a todos os trabalhadores, independentemente do meio de formalização da relação de trabalho e do tamanho da empresa em que ele é exercido, não servindo o pagamento do seguro contra acidentes de trabalho como autorização para o descumprimento do dever. O desenvolvimento de políticas públicas em prol do meio ambiente do trabalho, assim como o estudo aprofundado dos seus instrumentos de tutela, como é o caso da ação regressiva acidentária, é essencial para garantir o direito. / The environment of work and the regressive action related accidents are the objects of the present study. The sound environment, including that of the work, is handled by the Federal Constitution of 1988 as a fundamental right, essential to the implementation of the basic principle of human dignity, to be obtained with the enjoyment of a healthy quality of life. For this reason, several instruments are available by standing order for the protection of that right. The action regressive related accidents, under art. 120 of Law No. 8.213/91, is one such instruments. However, had long been virtually ignored by social security, as a holder of the right/duty to return, an omission which, fortunately, have been suppressed in recent years by the actions of the Attorney General´s Office, through the Federal Attorney General, which issued regressive action related accidents among its priority actions. The society, by ignoring the institute, also did not charge its use, despite its potential for protection of the right of workers to perform their working activities in safe and healthy, coming mainly from its pedagogical-punitive. About the social values of work is based on our Republic and the exercise of their professional activities is indispensable to the citizens for the consolidation of that right. But not just any job, but he played under appropriate conditions, without risk, to ensure the life, health and physical and mental health workers, because only with the care of these assumptions is that the actual principle of the dignity of human person. Official statistics about accidents at work in Brazil, although only reflect the framework of formal employment, they show real affront to the fundamental right to work, balanced environment, the work included therein, and human dignity. The environmental principles play an important role in controlling workplace risks, why should serve as guidance to all those responsible for overseeing the work environment in their continuing work to improve conditions in this environment. Moreover, the constitutional principles of economic order must be reconciled with the fundamental right to a balanced environment, which also happens to be a collective duty. The classic institute of liability needs to be reformulated before it can be satisfactorily applied in the environmental sphere and that goes beyond mere pacification about its impact on the objective modality. The duty to assume responsibility for environmental risks must be anticipated to action, to avoid the consequences of which traditionally falls on the institute. The work performed in the right environment is worthy to be guaranteed to all workers, regardless of the means of formalizing the working relationship and the size of the company in which it is exercised, not serving the payment of insurance against accidents at work as authorization for dereliction of duty. The development of public policies on the environment of work, as well as the detailed study of their instruments of protection, as is the case of the regressive action related accidents, it is essential to guarantee the right.

La atracción y retención del talento humano en las agencias marítimas en el Callao presenta una tendencia de crecimiento lento en los últimos años a pesar de que el puerto del Callao ha tenido inversión extranjera de dos empresas líderes portuarias en el mundo.
El presente trabajo, parte de esta premisa, y desarrolla el porqué de esta problemática y el poco interés de las escuelas preparatoria de personal experto en el sector marítimo. Un tema tan importante es atraer y retener talento humano expertos en el sector ayudarán a generar competitividad y a mejorar los niveles de motivación, satisfacción y compromiso laboral del personal tanto administrativo como operativo, que son los pilares de una agencia marítima.
La importancia que tiene para el Perú desarrollar altos niveles de competitividad y los servicios portuarios que brinda al mundo nos ha motivado a investigar las razones por las cuales los servicios son lentos y no tan eficientes como podrían ser.
Se realizaron entrevistas a personal directivo de agencias marítimas quienes expresaron que su personal es valorado por su experiencia y eficiencia en cumplir sus funciones. Por otro lado, se entrevistó al personal operativo quienes opinan que tener líderes que les enseñen y ser reconocidos es importante para su permanencia y crecimiento en la organización. Así mismo se pudo identificar qué aspectos tales como la remuneración y seguridad que pueda ofrecerles la organización es importante. Por otro lado, se pudo verificar que existen pocos centros de capacitación especializada y que la mayor preparación se obtiene en el ejercicio laboral por lo cual es importante contar con más centros de estudios especializados. / The attraction and retention of human talent in shipping agencies in Callao has shown a slow growth trend in recent years despite the fact that the port of Callao has had foreign investment from two leading port companies in the world.
The present work starts from this premise and develops the reason for this problem and the little interest of the preparatory schools of expert personnel in the maritime sector. Such an important issue is attracting and retaining human talent, experts in the sector will help to generate competitiveness and improve the levels of motivation, satisfaction and work commitment of both administrative and operational personnel, which are the pillars of a shipping agency.
The importance for Peru to develop high levels of competitiveness and the port services it provides to the world has motivated us to investigate the reasons why services are slow and not as efficient as they could be.
Interviews were conducted with management personnel of maritime agencies who expressed that their personnel are valued for their experience and efficiency in fulfilling their functions. On the other hand, the operating personnel were interviewed who think that having leaders who teach them and be recognized is important for their permanence and growth in the organization. Likewise, it was possible to identify which aspects such as remuneration and security that the organization can offer them is important. On the other hand, it was possible to verify that there are few specialized training centers and that the greatest preparation is obtained in the workplace, which is why it is important to have more specialized study centers. / Trabajo de investigación

The purpose of this qualitative master thesis is to investigate the cultural activity experiencesof employees and their meaning for well-being and work satisfaction. The method used inthis study was thematic analysis. The data collection was conducted through eightsemi-structured interviews with employees in a municipal department that participated incultural activities organized by their employer as a part of their ordinary work tasks. In theresult three main themes emerged with appurtenant sub-themes: The experience of increasedsocial interaction in the workplace (Promoting fellowship and cohesion in the workplace,New and deepened relationships with colleagues, and Conversations and discussions withcolleagues), The experience of a changed view of the workplace (Feeling appreciated by theemployer, The experience that cultural activities benefit the workplace, and The experience ofhow the cultural activities have been arranged), and The experience that cultural activitieslead to benefits for the individual (Something out of the ordinary and Enriching for theindividual). The main themes, together with their sub-themes, describe how the culturalactivities have been perceived to have affected social relations, increased well-being in theworkplace and enriched the individuals. The results are largely in line with previous researchand can be linked to established theories. All together, from what has emerged in the resultsand previous research the conclusion can be drawn that cultural activities could be used inwork-life to promote the individuals well-being and job satisfaction. / Syftet med föreliggande kvalitativa studie är att undersöka anställdas upplevelser avkulturaktiviteter som arrangerats av arbetsgivaren och deras eventuella betydelse förvälbefinnande och arbetstillfredsställelse. Metoden som användes i studien var tematiskanalys. Datainsamlingen skedde genom åtta semistrukturerade intervjuer med anställda vid enkommunförvaltning som haft deltagande i kulturaktiviteter organiserade av arbetsgivarensom en del av sina arbetsuppgifter. I resultatet utkristalliserades tre huvudteman medtillhörande underteman: Upplevelsen av en ökad social interaktion på arbetsplatsen(Främjande av gemenskap och sammanhållning på arbetsplatsen, Nya och fördjupaderelationer med kollegor, och Samtal och diskussion med kollegor), Upplevelsen av enförändrad syn på arbetsplatsen (Att känna sig uppskattad av arbetsgivaren, Upplevelsen avatt kulturaktiviteterna gynnar arbetsplatsen, och Upplevelsen av hur kulturaktiviteterna harorganiserats), och Upplevelsen av att kulturaktiviteterna leder till fördelar för individen(Någonting utöver det vanliga för individen, och Berikande för individen). Huvudtemanabeskriver tillsammans med sina underteman hur kulturaktiviteterna upplevs ha påverkatsociala relationer, ökat trivseln på arbetsplatsen samt varit utvecklande för medarbetarna somindivider. Resultatet går till stor del i linje med tidigare forskning och kan kopplas tilletablerade psykologiska teorier. Sammantaget dras slutsatsen utifrån vad som framkommit iresultatet och tidigare forskning att kulturaktiviteter skulle kunna användas inom arbetslivetför att främja individens välbefinnande och trivsel på arbetet.

The middle manager situation is sometimes squeezed between requirements from different parties at the same time as they are crucial for the development of the organization. Masters, chief engineers and managers in the catering department onboard are middle managers squeezed between the office requirements and the working conditions of their crew. The purpose of this study was to look into the middle managers conditions with focus on the work for good working environment onboard ships in the commercial shipping industry. A study was made consisting of two main parts, first a literature review and secondly focus group interviews. The literature review looked for findings about the middle managers work for occupational health and safety, which were mostly about industries and organisations ashore. These findings were tested in the focus groups in order to find out if they applied also for the commercial shipping industry and if there are any special things to consider there. The focus group members were of both genders, from different management positions and companies within the Swedish commercial shipping industry. So what recommendations can be made in order to improve the middle managers work for a good working environment or occupational health and safety (OHS)? Recommendations are given about competence, staff engagement, policies, shared leadership and administrative workload. Three findings are suggested for further research, shared leadership, administrative workload and client pressure. It is interesting that the type of shared leadership that are found onboard seems to be rather unique for the commercial shipping industry.

The theoretical part deals with the theory of working motivation and job satisfaction factors of employees. The practical part contains an analysis of the current status of the organization and a research, in which are collected answers to specific research questions. Based on the analysis and interpretation of the responses will be proposed my own recommendations for management about improving the motivation and the employees´ satisfaction.
