Värdering och hantering av ungdomsverksamheten inom idrottsföreningar

Gustavsson, Emma, Severinsson, Stina January 2007 (has links)
<p>The aim with this study was to describe how the board members of athletic clubs view and value their youth program. A qualitative approach was used in form of interviews. The interviews were made face to face as well as being taped, this to facilitate the analysis. When the board members viewed their youth program to be in alignment with the overall club philosophy there was a discrepancy between their views and the “de facto” conditions of the youth program. It will also show that the board members viewed it as difficult to conduct broad-spectrum program for the youths. These difficulties were to a great extent due to external factors. When these difficulties became detrimental for the development of the clubs activities, then an alternative to the present day competition and rules system should be developed. Furthermore, there is a need for internal education in clubs to highten consciences dealing with how to value and run activities</p>

Käck, Andreas, Sahlén, Gustaf January 2012 (has links)

Arvidsson, Erik, Lundell, Daniel January 2016 (has links)
The Swedish sports movement has in recent years raised an age related drop-out problematic. Just like their Scandinavian neighbours the Swedish sports movement appeal less adolescent participants as they grow older. This was largely explained by scholars and the Swedish sports movement as a competitive rationale. Therefore The Swedish Sports Confederation (Riksidrottsförbundet) has introduced a subject of change to become a more inclusive sports movement where people can exercise independently of their competitive commitment. The purpose of the study was to investigate how the national sports associations will manage members’ lifelong commitment to sport. Attitudes to changes was evaluated through the use of interviews with executives and employees in the national sports associations in order to know how the suggested changes will be received. Overall, the participants present elements of a strong competitive culture that tries to prevent the proposed change. Some aspects consisted of time consuming processes, conflicts and differentiated organizing ideas within all organizations. Even though many sports associations argue they have challenging conditions, there are people within the organizations who try to neglect a competitive sports ideal. New forms of ideas might still attract more people to organized sports movement. The main conclusion is that the competitive logic is maintained within the national sports associations. Change of the sports movement’s behaviour patterns will always act in comparison to the historically competitive rationale and therefore also be influenced by it.

Ungdomsidrott och Idrotten vill / Sports for adolescents and the guidelines of Idrotten vill

Mäki, Fredrik January 2021 (has links)
Spontanious sporting has for the last decades reduced and is today not as common as it was before. The effect of this evolution has been that people are much more inactive and the risk for population diseases has increased. This means that the organized sporting has become more important for the public health, especially for adolescents. But for the last years the number of adolescents that drops out from organizational sports between the ages of 16 to 20 years old has been increasing, which is a problem. A document called “Idrotten vill” has because of that problem been made with the content for how the sport movement should be conducted for the different age groups. The aim for this study has been to gain an insight into how five organizational sports clubs in northern Sweden are conducting their sports for adolescents by the guidelines from “Idrotten vill” and what possible differences there may be between organizational sport clubs focused on individual sports and team sports. To get the information needed five interviews was made with five different people from organizational sports, divided in three individual sports and two team sports. The result shows that the organizational sports are conducting their sports for adolescents by the guidelines from “Idrotten vill” with some differences between the individual sports and team sports.

Unga kvinnors upplevelser av att spela golf på breddidrottsnivå utifrån självbestämmandeteorin / Young women’s experiences from golfing as lower-level athletes based on the self-determination theory

Fransson, Elisabeth, Kågström, Sandra January 2021 (has links)
The purpose of this study was to examine young female golf player’s experiences of continued golfing as a lower-level athlete based on the self-determination theory and the basic psychological needs. The study was based on a qualitative method where data collection was implemented by eight semi-structured interviews with women aged 22 to 33 years old (M=26.25, SD=4.97). The interview-guide was based on the self-determination theory (Deci &amp; Ryan, 2000a; 2000b) and previous studies in the field, for example Williams et al. (2012). The data was analysed based on a qualitative content analysis and presented by three themes, competence, belonging and autonomy. The results showed that the participants experienced aspects within competence, for example the opportunity for development and belonging had the greatest positive impact on the women’s experiences of playing golf as a lower-level athlete. In autonomy, it was the free will and the opportunity to choose whenever and wherever they wanted to play that was considered most important for women’s continued golfing. Furthermore, the results were discussed in relation to previous research in the field and the motivational continuum of the self-determination theory. Implications and conclusions along with suggestions for continued research were followed up where recommendations on deeper studies on women’s continued golfing were presented.  The study wishes to give more understanding of what women have experienced as important in their continued golfing, which corresponds with what the Swedish Golf Association and the PGA of Sweden are working with to include more women in golf.
