Previous issue date: 2013-12-18 / Changes in the labor market profile of the learner, speed of knowledge production and the
realization of an inconsistency between vocational training and the provision of services to the
community, led a revolution in higher education, particularly in the health area courses
towards tailor the training for this new context. Curriculum guidelines systematized these
needs and boosted curricular reforms and restructuring of the educational course projects. In
relation to teachers and students, in the midst of so many changes, it is also required a new
approach to teaching and learning. This study focused on investigating the perception of
teachers and students on the methodologies, teaching strategies and pedagogical practices
employed in a vocational training course in dentistry. For this we used a qualitative approach.
Data were collected through individual interviews with teachers and students to focus groups,
analysis of these data was performed using Grounded Theory and having as support the
WebQDA software. The teaching methodology used in the course is more traditional and the
strategy is lecturing with slide projection. Although students recognize the benefits of active
methodologies, these believe that the traditional method is most suitable for your training. The
active methodology of teaching and learning is still a challenge for teachers essentially the
pedagogical limitations. Utilize these methodologies is to abandon the security that underpins
the historical use of traditional methodology. This paradigm shift for teachers, involves facing
the resistance of students and win their own. The teaching practice shows inconsistencies with
the pedagogical course design regarding the interdisciplinary, integrating basic and clinical
cycle, prioritizing use of active methodologies, comprehensive view of the patient and
evaluation process. As regards the use of active methodologies is imperative to have teacher
training and enlightenment of students. It is essential that these be used with prudence and are
appropriate to the objectives. The intersection of the perceptions of teachers and students can
reveal valuable appointments for the redirection of higher education in dentistry.
contexto. As diretrizes curriculares sistematizaram estas necessidades e impulsionaram as
professores, envolve enfrentar as resistências dos alunos e vencer as próprias. A prática
No
odontologia.

Previous issue date: 2014-02-05 / Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPES / This research has as an object of study the Supervised Curricular Stage in the
graduation of the geography teacher, because this time of the progress is considered
difficult due to lack of approach between institutions of higher education with field
schools and vice versa. Its objective is understanding the stage when testing the
formation process of the Geography teacher, having as a guide element the relation
college – school. Through the activities of the internship in the Bachelor's Degree in
Geography from the Universidade Estadual de Goiás – Porangatu Unit University ,
looks into the trainee insertion in the field school, the motivation for performing
the stage, the difficulties faced in, the overcoming of such difficulties, the
contributions of the stage to vocational training, the seriousness of the relation
between college and school and interfaces between academic disciplines and
geographic content on the school Geography building. In this sense, it is considered
the stage as a potentiating curricular component from relation between mentioned
educational institutions, even considering the gaps for effective interinstitutional
approach. The study took a qualitative approach to the research participant type, in
which data collect was accomplished by monitoring a Supervised Stage Course of
Geography class in 2012 and 2013. Monitoring of research subjects, was used the
narratives production as the main instrument to collect data and information. Other
instruments were field diaries, documentary analysis and direct observation in the
investigative field. The survey obtained twenty-two trainees participation, that
produced five narratives with themes related to the activities performed on stage. The
statements enabled to point the limits to be faced and the progress already achieved
in the relationship between college and school, which is still far from ideal, since it is
necessary the stage leaves to be seen only as required and be perceived as
bureaucratic and essential part of teacher training. These research findings and the
theoretical and methodological frameworks used allowed up proposals for referrals
to university and school approach in building the school Geography, based, among
others, in education planning, the role stage teacher-mentors and teacherssupervisors, and the geographic content role. The referrals proposed are certainly
elements that become effective the approximation between college and school, and
perhaps, be useful as a direction for further researches.
as escolas-campo e vice-versa.
universidade e escola.
a observação direta no campo investigativo.
atividades realizadas no estágio.

Previous issue date: 2014-08-29 / Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPES / In this paper, we assessed curricular adaptation for students with hearing impairment in common
schools in the state of Goiás. Since the 1988 Federal Constitution, in Brazil began a movement of
school democratization, which gained more expressivity with the introduction of especial education.
The inclusion of impaired children in common school has provoked debates, both regarding advocates
and opponents to this educational modality in regular schools. Several issues arose, such as: How to
teach such students? Must the curriculum, the axis of the educational process, be the same for
everyone? In the study, we made a documental analysis, based on publications of the Ministry of
Education, having as theoretical reference Vigotski (1983) and his studies concerning the learning
process of children with impairment. We also carried out a historical analysis of the education of
children with hearing impairment in accordance with Goldfeld (2002). We understand that diversity is
a reality that school longs for simplify each day. Thus, in order to analyze inclusive school, we looked
for writers addressing this theme in literature, such as: Mantoan (2009); Raws (1981); Moreira,
(2010); Dubet (2008); Esteve (2004). In a globalized world, it is undeniable the power of whatever is
decided by international organizations, namely, the World Bank, UNESCO, UN, for the elaboration of
educational public policies directing school actions. Globalization, with its implications in the
educational process, is addressed here based on Sacristán (2007), besides the aforementioned authors.
Other issues involving this topic were assessed in this paper, such as: teacher’s education, the
prescribed curriculum, bilingual education, as well as concepts inherent to plurality constituting
society, like difference and equal opportunities. Aiming at investigating how school articulates
curriculum in the education of students with hearing impairment in Goiás, we considered necessary to
research curriculum in Brazil from its very beginning and development to the understanding of
diversity at the present. In this study, we based on Moreira (1990, 2010) and Sacristán’s assumptions
(1998). In order to complement documental analysis, we investigated two inclusive schools in
Goiânia. We verified whether what is expressed in the Pedagogical Political Project is contemplated in
the teachers’ planning, according to governmental guidelines and theoretical foundations of inclusive
education. We found out that since the beginning of inclusive education to the present days, curricular
proposals have drastically been changed for students with hearing impairment and that the obstacles
faced by the common educational systems also affect students with impairment. What is determined
by the legislation is not always what happens in fact in common inclusive schools. Educational
practice occurs under school material conditions and human resources, which concerning inclusive
education, has gaps that hinder the quality of education. We verified that, the prescribed curriculum is
often substituted by the hidden curriculum discussed in this paper.
A inclusão
exemplo: Como ensinar esses alunos?
inclusão autores que tratam do tema, tais como: Mantoan (2009); Raws (1981); Moreira, (2010);
Dubet (2008); Esteve (2004).
A globalização,
oculto, discutido neste trabalho.

Previous issue date: 2007-09-24 / Research about the graduation of the Educational Manager graduated by the Course of
Pedagogy in the Universidade Federal does Maranhão (UFMA), Campus of Imperatriz.
One analyzes the effects of the changes on the theoretical-methodological bases of the
Proposal of Curricular Reformation in 2001, parallel to the alterations occurred in the
structure of the Course. The Research had as object the implementation of the Curricular
Proposal and the way, in practice, the educational politics and the principles of Democratic
Management had been accomplished. The theoretical reference is based upon the authors
who defend the positions of the Anfope and also the Curricular Guidelines, since they
guide the graduating institutions in the reformation of their Curricular Proposal, as well as
they define the pedagogue s graduation and profile necessary to fulfill the requirements of
the current demands. Methodologically, it was chosen the Oral History as a way to obtain
information about the paths covered by the Course to articulate the graduation in
accordance to the structuralized proposal in formative axles. The complexity of the Curricular
Proposal represented a series of difficulties in the composition of the new curriculum and
in its application, generating unreliability for the teachers and dissatisfaction for the students,
for not feeling themselves contemplated by the manager graduation, taking into
consideration that the emphasis was upon teaching initial grades. It was evidenced by the
depositions that the investigative dimension was not yet instituted in the Course, in view of
that the graduation of the local teachers in the Course of Pedagogy does not contemplate
this dimension of the proposal. Before these facts, it is possible to conclude that the
alterations occurred in the Course in Imperatriz do not yet answer the intention of the
necessary conceptual renewal to the graduation of the Educational Manager, as made
use in the text of the Proposal and the Curricular Guidelines.

It describes an investigation carried out with Secondary School teachers on their perceptions regarding curriculum innovations using a futures studies approach. Aim: Firstly, to identify the ways in which teachers view the concept of future in their lives. Secondly, identify the perceptions and attitudes regarding futures studies and their introduction in the Secondary School classroom in the city of São Paulo. Thirdly, supervise projects in the local schools which adopted such approach. Methodology: In its first phase, a structured questionnaire was sent to the 200 participant teachers, between March and June 2007. In its second phase, a workshop to introduce future studies in the schools under investigation was held, followed by another structured questionnaire, between June and August 2007. In its third phase, meetings with teachers and pedagogical coordinators were held. Results: The first phase showed teachers perceive the future as a period between 10 and 20 years from the present. There is a mix of optimism and worry and a belief that a high level of preparation is required for this future. The second phase showed that teachers perceive the relevance of future studies, particularly for themselves. Among the tools presented in the workshop, the creation of scenarios and the use of expert opinion were those which seemed clearer, more relevant and of easier introduction in the classroom. The third phase included the adoption of cross curricular projects, proposals for curriculum change and attempts at different activities by some of the schools. Conclusion: Teachers show a high level of interest and worry in the preparation of their students for the future. Future studies offer a viable alternative for the introduction of projects and classroom activities of a cross curricular nature that will help young people to plan and prepare for the future.

The appropriation of Digital Technologies (DTs) in the pedagogical practice, by elementary and junior high teachers in municipal schools of Juiz de Fora, and the possible articulation of such practice with the Portuguese Language Curricular Proposal for that level, considering the basic process of reading and writing and process of literacy constitutes the focus of this research. Its organization is guided by a qualitative research based on Vygotsky's theory of social construction of knowledge (1995, 1996, 1998, 2007), and Bakhtin'senunciative theory of language (1992, 1999, 2003). In addition to these theories, the groundwork is anchored in studies by Soares (2002, 2004), Freitas (2008, 2009, 2010 and others) and Rojo (2010, 2012), Lévy (1999), Bevilaqua (2013) and Kenski (2012a, 2012b). The interview, the participant observation and the questionnaire are the chosen instruments for data collection once they provide a dialogical relationship between the researcher and the researched ones. Moreover, it was added the documental analysis of the Portuguese Language Curricular Proposal. The research verified that teachers have appropriated DTs in their pedagogical practice as cultural instruments of current learning and developed a work hoping to teach the alphabet with literacy by using DTs.The practices of the teachers who are subjects of the research were aligned with the purpose of building a school curriculum in line with the new social tendencies of a technologized society.Teachers propose varied activities with the intention of working on the instrumental use of technologies or, more broadly, for pedagogical purposes, in which the objectives go beyond the instrumental use, being related to the curricular contents that are expected.Of all the mentioned practices, the game is prominent in the Computer Laboratory (CL), allowing the construction of knowledge in different areas and greater appropriation of the digital universe. Planning and material and human resources were identified as fundamental elements for the work with DTs, being pointed as obstacles to a good practice, the difficulty of connecting to the Internet, the insufficient condition and quantity of equipment and the function diversion of the CL teacher. The teacher responsible for the CL of the school has its practice focused on the teaching-learning process of the students, but also the teacher is a trainer of their peers, recognized by them, regarding the use of DTs.
The pedagogical practice developed in the CL is influenced by the orientations of the Portuguese Language Curriculum Proposal, according to the conception of the literacies (multiple), although it supplants the last one, concerning the construction of a work that goes towards the perspective of multiliteracies. According with this direction, it became evident the importance of continuing the work with the semiotic multiplicity of the texts and also investing, more effectively, in the work with the populations cultural multiplicity, in order to redesign the teaching-learning process

Previous issue date: 2013-09-25 / This work discusses new meanings that are being produced in the curriculum policies for professional education at the Sul-rio-grandense Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology (IFSul) during its institutional transformation in 2008. Considering educational policies in a complex way, as proposed by Stephan Ball and using the theoretical framework of Ernesto Laclau s Discourse Theory, we seek to identify some senses through official documents from the Ministry of Education (MEC), IFSul, as well as from interviews with IFSul s administrators and faculty. Different documents were organized into groups and analyzed with WordSmith Tools.
By adopting the concept of curriculum/curricular policies as a discursive practice, as proposed by Lopes and Alice Elizabeth Macedo, we aim to analyze the different elements that compose the field of discursivity in Technological and Vocational Education, at local and national level, emphasizing historical conflicts and structural, cultural and discursive aspects which induce limits and possibilities for curricular
policies at IFSul. In the process of analysis, we chose to identify, in different contexts, meanings and displacements around the significant teaching, research, extension
and articulation. First it is verified that there is institutional priority for the teaching dimension, we find different forms of acceptance for discourses of integration and verticalization and we identify the myth that teaching is consolidated in the federal vocational education system and in this school. It is concluded that there are difficulties in fixing senses for research and extension and there is an acceptance of
meanings for these dimensions similar to them in the university context, which does not seem to be consistent with an institution that acts predominantly on vocational education at high school level. Although there are advances in the administrative structure and research funding, the main expectation is that workers are able to institutionalize research and extension, although we found sensations of
intensification on the part of teachers that now have to cope with the overlapping of work of the three dimensions in an institutional context that values formally only the time for teaching. The signifier articulation was identified as overdetermined of meanings, with the capacity to become an empty signifier for construction of hegemonic curriculum policies in the institution.

Previous issue date: 2010-08-26 / This research aimed at knowing, by means of Curricular Pre-service Training if school used for training, from the perspective of the principal team, the teachers and trainers, contributes to initial training of teachers coming from Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). Based on a qualitative
approach we used a questionnaire for getting data. Data collection among respondents was done by intentional sampling. The study was carried out in a public elementary and secondary school in Pelotas, Rio Grande do Sul State. Some resulting questions marked out the study, such as: which types and what the characteristics are of the possible contribution of the school used for training? How is really built the relationship between the school used for training and the HEIs? The main theoretical bases were Alarcão (2001), Nóvoa (1992; 1995), and Pepper (2001; 2008). Some elements may be emphasized as a synthesis of the study: The three groups mentioned the importance of supervised pre-service training for initial training of future teachers. Training was characterized as the place of practice, as well as the moment to practice learned theories. In addition, institutions also were recognized as having very different roles, in other words, the
university as the place of theory and the school as the place of practice. A criticism was presented to the distance, normally perceived, between the school used for training and the university. Another criticism regarded the fact that training happens for a too short time, something more emphasized by teachers and of the principal team. It seems advisable to see the school used for training as cotraining
institution for the future teacher in activities that are only developed during training. A question to be considered is that the school has not the role of a mere "recipient" of trainers, but, even according to some laws, a more formative role. Supervised Pre-Service Training, although a mandatory component, and despite being thought as an articulator of knowledge, included in curricular syllabuses, seems to lacks mechanisms that could structure its recognition as a place in
the professional field connected to curricular university activities.
a teoria.

Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPES / This study presented the job category in the training process as an object, given the job statute entrusted to the Social Work from the curriculum reform of the 1990s. This proposal of to understand Social Work as a job is inserted into the last curriculum reform and, since then, it thickens the tone of a debate that supposes the discussion about the own ontological foundations of the job. The incorporation of the job category in the Curriculum Guidelines for the course of Social Work organized, anchored in Marxist foundations, professional practice as a work process that consists of the job object or raw material, by the working tools and the work itself. This new conception intended to reach new paths to social work, discussing its socio-historical registration and social significance of the profession. From this perspective, this study aimed to analyze the understanding of students of classroom courses of Social Work for Higher Education Institutions (HEI) of Sergipe about the job category, aiming to reveal the importance of this appropriation into vocational training. Therefore, it was necessary: to point out the main issues that base the discussion of curriculum reform to the relationship Social Work/job; to understand the ontological foundations of the work in Marxist theoretical and methodological matrix; to analyze the educational projects of classroom courses of Social Work of HEI in Sergipe, the menus and the lesson plans of the subjects that discuss the job category; and to identify the profile of conclusive students of classroom courses of Social Work in Sergipe. The research is characterized as qualitative, of exploratory character, guided by the critical perspective of materialism, historical and dialectical. Bibliographic, documentary and field researches were done, and it was used as a data collection instrument the semi-structured interview. The universe was composed by 86 students from two conclusive classes of HEI, characterized as empirical field and the sample reached 20 female students of the classes of 2014/2 – ten students from each HEI. As a result of the study, it was observed that even with the guarantee of the debate about the job category in the pedagogical project of the courses and its particularity in some subjects, the interviewees didn‟t show deepening on the debate proposed by the curriculum guidelines, even when inserting in training camps, signaling in some aspects conceptual inaccuracies, which denote that academic training has not led to the exhaustion of the debate in order to clarify its meaning. Therefore, it is essential to claim the work as structure of academic qualification, so that the debate is not restricted to specific subjects, contemplate all training and enable the appropriation of the debate said to Social Work, given its importance for qualification and professional practice.
