Buracos não envelhecem: velhice e erotismo na prosa de Hilda Hilst / Holes do not age: old age and eroticism in Hilda Hilsts proseVisnadi, Marcos de Campos 15 December 2017 (has links)
All of Hilda Hilsts prose books feature aged characters, and eroticism is one of the main strengths of her literature. This work seeks to relate these two elements and, at the same time, offer an overview of the Hilstian prose and some of its most recurrent issues. The construction of characters, the images of emptiness and the characterization of the authors style are axes that structure each one of the three chapters, in which questions such as the construction of literary space and the philosophical investigations contained in the fictional text are also addressed. In dialogue with such essayists as Simone de Beauvoir, Georges Bataille, Edward Said, among others, this dissertation departs from the understanding of old age and eroticism as aesthetic elaborations to seek the images and formal operations used by Hilst in her fiction.

[en] FROM BODY TO WORD, FROM WORD TO BODY: REFLECTIONS ABOUT THE TRIAD EROTISM, MYSTIC AND POETRY / [pt] DO CORPO À PALAVRA, DA PALAVRA AO CORPO: ALGUMAS REFLEXÕES SOBRE O COMPLEXO EROTISMO, MÍSTICA E POESIACLEIDE MARIA DE OLIVEIRA 26 August 2005 (has links)
paixão quanto a mística
social e a transgressão dessas mesmas leis. Nosso estudo
buscou explorar as
pensamento mítico-religioso e a compreensão do caráter
primitivamente sagrado
no contexto batailliano.
sagrado e morte. / [en] The present study was constituted as an investigation of
possible intercessions
among the experiences given by the eroticism, mystic and
poetry, understood in
the Greek context of poiésis that extrapolates the limits
of the literary gender,
being characterized mainly as aesthetic experience of use
conscious of language.
The main theoretical approachly was given by Georges
Bataille s thought, for who
as much the love-passion as the religious mystic and poetry
are limits experiences
of otherlity that reveal the existence of a movement
dialectic (without synthesis)
among the injunctions that found the social body and the
transgression of those
same laws. Our study looked for explore the intercessions
among the eroticism`s
forms that Bataille analyzes - the eroticism of bodies, of
hearts and sacred -
and the poetry, that the author mentions as one Wednesday
forms of eroticism
without developing more necessary argument. Our hypothesis
is that it can be
applied to the poetry, or else all, some of the main
characteristics that Bataille
appears in the eroticism, defined for him as experience in
that the being puts in
subject. The reflection of the subjects proposed by
Bataille demanded that the
specificity`s of the religious experience were approached
in the contemporanity,
as well as the discussion of some concepts of the science
of the religion, as for
instance, a definition of sacred that it could not just be
applied to institutionalized
religious experiences, some reflections on the thought
mythical-religious person
and the understanding of the primitive character sacred of
language and of myth.
Starting from the understanding of the importance of the
myth for the thought
magic-religious person and of the verification that the
same is constituted the
appropriate language for communication with the instances
of the sacred, we
formulated the hypothesis the poetry to be interpreted, in
a society disenchanted as
ours, while continuity solution for the myth, being her
religious, in the sense in
that it proposes a jump outside of the limits of the
injunction towards the
psychic forces of the sacred, that understood in the
context batailliano. Intending
to clarify hypotheses and arguments, it was taken for a
case study the work of
the poet Adélia Prado, where they were pointed and
discussed the relationships
among eroticism, mystic, word poetic, sacred and death.

[en] NELSON RODRIGUES MEETS MANUEL BANDEIRA IN THE OBSESSIVE MEMORIES OF RUA ALEGRE / [pt] O ENCONTRO DE NELSON RODRIGUES E MANUEL BANDEIRA NAS LEMBRANÇAS OBSESSIVAS DA RUA ALEGREANDRE COLSON SCORZA 17 August 2004 (has links)
[en] Through the dialogue between the writings of Nelson
Rodrigues and Manuel Bandeira`s poetry, an attempt is made
to overcome some of the prejudice that marks the reception
of Nelson Rodrigues`s work. Rodrigues reread reality on
his very own way, but never failing to show the truth, or A
vida como ela. (Life As It Is). The subtle line between
the real and the fictional, journalism and literature, is
the hallmark of his work; reality turns into news copy,
which is ficcionalized into crônicas, which are made into
short stories, which turn into plays, which turn into
novels, which turn back into plays. The sexual motif is
central in Rodrigues`s work, but his discourse is always a
defense of love. If Bandeira`s poetry is a passionate
search, so is Rodrigues`s writing, as it represents human
beings` unceasing search for erotic gratification; in this
way he achieved in prose everything that Manuel had done in
poetry.

Painting and eroticism are two main elements in Júlio Bressane\'s own private constellation that also includes literature, Brazilian modernism, popular Brazilian music, and cinema itself. Filme de amor (2003) deals with the questions of the naked body and the gaze, and connects itself with a large tradition, from Italian Renascence (Sandro Botticelli, Raphael Sanzio) and Spanish painting (Diego Velázquez, Francisco Goya) to realism (Gustave Courbet) and Balthus\' surrealism - a main artist for the 2003 film. Besides all that, it touches psychoanalysis\' issues related to Lacan\'s theory. To Bressane, \"innocent cinema\" may refer to erotic films from Silent Cinema or to the moment in the history of film forms when, as there were no previous references, everything is an invention. So, both formal and sexual freedom came closer and creates some kind of utopia, an own personal \"Arcadia\" idealized by Bressane\'s films: an \"innocent\" and mythological age, previous to man has proved the forbidden fruit of knowledge. From Benjamin, the director learns the ideas of Melancholy and of History as fragment and doom.

Previous issue date: 2010-10-01 / Secretaria da Educação do Estado de São Paulo / The following essay is aimed to reflect the poems from the book Quaderna
(1960), by the poet João Cabral de Melo Neto. Its focus is to reflect on the tension
knot that generates a reversal lyricism from the traditional lyricism. In order to reach
this goal, the following questioning is raised: To what extent, does the book
Quaderna, materializes a lyric-erotic-loving voice in the poetic of João Cabral de
Melo Neto? The theoric reason that guides this paper is composed by two strands,
the first one on theoric that tried to apprehend in theories such as Hugo Friedrich s
and Käte Hambruger s, the lyricism type registered in Quaderna, the second strand
looked for in João Cabral´s criticism the possibilities of female thematization through
a loving-erotic vein. The paper tries to explore, throughout three chapters, the poems
imagery wealth, outstanding primarily the poetic width of Cabralian speech, that
concerns the visuality, plasticity, concretion and sensuousness. Among other
considerations, it´s aprehended in Quaderna the love-lyricism thematic that
emphasizes the female through a sensual erotic language that creates the similarities
between the woman and the natural elements, besides it also prioritizes the poetic

Previous issue date: 2014-08-06 / Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior / The main focus of this study is the two parts of the novel Lavoura arcaica,
emphasizing the conflictive relation between André and his father, Iohána.
Characterized by anger and rebellion in his discourse against his father s principles,
André returns to family environment, but actually questions it. He resents himself and
the ones who await him at home, the embodiment of the character s inner conflict. This
dissertation aims to discuss some image constructions related to both father and his
prodigal son (au contraire), André, through the interaction between literature and
psychoanalysis. To do so, some concepts referring to erotism, father s rule and myth
will be approached, in order to perceive how the text apprehends the transgression in the
narrative, emphasizing the heuristic potential of the piece for the understanding of both
profane and sacred. It is tried to comprehend the way André s desire comes to be
through his father s, insofar as this desire is one of the guiding elements of the work / O enfoque central deste estudo incide sobre as duas partes do romance Lavoura
