This research paper is comprised of anthropological analysis concerning the experiences involved in madness, mental suffering and curing practices in the Umbanda religion. We look at indivual s narratives and individual s perceptions, along with phenomenological and interpretive analysis and the concept of body applied to a spiritual cure context. Present in this system mediated by the sacred, is the transformation process from suffering to cure, joining the ephemeris of every experience with the habitus. Discussed herein are the fundamental steps and theraputic procedures that compose the experience of this sacred cure. The results of this research enable us to understand the significance of the religious cure from every individual that experiences it. / Este estudo compreende uma análise antropológica acerca da experiência envolvendo loucura, sofrimento e Umbanda baseada na percepção dos sujeitos envolvidos com as práticas de cura religiosa. A noção de corpo aplicada a este contexto soma-se à análise interpretativa e fenomenológica que teço sobre a narrativa e a percepção dos sujeitos. A transformação da experiência de sofrimento, mediada pelo sagrado, integra as efemérides da cura, em relatos individuais, ao habitus das práticas terapêuticas na Umbanda. Como experiência do sagrado, a cura religiosa revela neste trabalho a diversidade das práticas e recursos utilizados pela Tenda Espiritual Cosme e Damião no sentido de promover a transformação e a superação do sofrimento. A análise das etapas e procedimentos que compõem os repertórios terapêuticos na Umbanda nos permite entender como se constrói o significado da cura em cada sujeito que a vivencia.

This work is a field research with the deaf in Aracaju, from the observation of the speech of the leaders of the capital, where there are two terms that are thoroughly discussed extensively in anthropology, whether, culture and identity. Given this, we raise the following questions: what is the origin of this common discourse produced in the social circles of Sergipe deaf? What the place and meaning that the sign language occupies in what they call "culture and deaf identity" '. Once it was realized that this speech came from a larger context, we propose the following objective: the light of anthropology to observe the deaf from Aracaju to ascertain how they are adhering to the cultural discourse and national identity and are positioning themselves ahead of surrounding society. Thus, in the first chapter, we came to find out how to use the two terms in the trajectory of this minority, in appropriating the historiography because we believe that many images are carved through the literature and this can perpetuate itself even beyond national borders. Use of interdisciplinary areas related to authors, both deaf and hearing, are playing in the literature that a portrait of the deaf. In the second chapter we sought to identify the terms culture and identity are addressed by anthropologists, and whether or not they were used properly investigated by the community. And in the third chapter, using ethnography, we record the movements, meeting spaces and social practices that subject, where the emphasis was learned sign language as a major brand identity. What can we conclude from this research is that, due to the stereotypical treatment of this individual in the historical course was designed, socially speaking, an image of helpless. And this subject, not accepting the data labels, teamed up in favor of the reversal of this image. So have forged, reproduced terms that distinguished them from hearing society, and through the linguistic attribute demonstrated their distinct brand identity. We also understand that beyond the distinction between language and the deaf have different cultural elements of us listeners, such as how to name your subjects. And by that very condition of solitary confinement, when they are born into families that do not use pounds, lose much of that is transmitted orally, ie, there is a loss of cultural transmission in which the group is inserted. But once together with their peers is an identification and strengthening. We could say that the deaf not have a culture and identity, but cultures and identities. / Este trabalho trata-se de uma pesquisa de campo com os surdos de Aracaju, partindo da observação do discurso dos líderes da capital, onde surgem exaustivamente dois termos que são amplamente discutidos na antropologia, quer sejam, cultura e identidade. Diante disto, levantamos as seguintes questões norteadoras: qual a origem deste discurso comum produzido nos círculos sociais dos surdos sergipanos? Qual o lugar e o sentido que a língua de sinais ocupa no que denominam cultura e identidade surda ?. Uma vez que se constatou que este discurso provinha de um âmbito maior, propomos o seguinte objetivo: à luz da antropologia observar os surdos de Aracaju a fim de averiguar como estes vêm aderindo ao discurso cultural e identitário de âmbito nacional e vêm se posicionando frente à sociedade envolvente. Assim, no primeiro capítulo, procuramos averiguar como surgiu a utilização dos dois termos na trajetória desta minoria, nos apropriando da historiografia por entendermos que muitas imagens são esculpidas através da literatura e por isto podem se perpetuar até mesmo fora das fronteiras nacionais. Utilizamos da interdisciplinaridade com autores de áreas afins, tanto surdos como ouvintes, que vêm reproduzindo na literatura um retrato do surdo. No segundo capítulo procuramos identificar como os termos cultura e identidade são abordados por antropólogos, e se eram ou não utilizados de forma adequada pela comunidade pesquisada. E no terceiro capítulo, utilizando da etnografia, procuramos registrar os movimentos, espaços de encontro e as práticas sociais desse sujeito, onde se averiguou o destaque dado a língua de sinais como maior marca identitária. O que podemos concluir desta pesquisa é que, devido ao tratamento estereotipado desse indivíduo no percurso histórico foi projetada, socialmente falando, uma imagem de incapaz. E que este sujeito, não aceitando os rótulos dados, irmanaram-se em prol da reversão desta imagem. Assim criaram vínculos, reproduziram termos que os distinguiam da sociedade ouvinte, e através do atributo lingüístico distinto demonstraram sua marca identitária. Entendemos também que além da distinção lingüística, os surdos possuem elementos culturais diferenciados de nós ouvintes, como a forma de nomear seus indivíduos. E que pela própria condição de incomunicabilidade, quando nascem em famílias que não utilizam a Libras, perdem muito do que se é transmitido pela via oral, ou seja, há um prejuízo de transmissão cultural do grupo no qual está inserido. Mas, uma vez juntos aos seus pares há uma identificação e fortalecimento. Poderíamos dizer que os surdos não têm uma cultura e identidade, mas culturas e identidades. The dissertation is divided in an introduction, added by a historical and ethnographic context, and two central chapters. In the first, from the proposition of a conceptual triad (kihti ukuse, bahsese and bahsamori) which encompasses the domains of Yepamahsan knowledge, I situate the Di'ta/Nʉhkʉ space through mythical narratives. In the second, I make a descriptive effort on the form and content of the Di'ta/Nʉhkʉ espaço space through a classification of beings (human and nonhuman) extracted from the assemblages of the Kumuã specialists. In this context, I try to show how Bahsese practice classifies and orders, balances, and sustains beings and things in the earth / forest space. In general, I consider how the Tukano thought keeps the order and the well-being of the beings on the terrestrial platform and that this Knowledge is bearer of a particular reflection on Yepamahsã institutions and life forms, inseparable from the principle of the dignity of the tukano person. / Esta dissertação tem como objetivo central investigar a organização do espaço Di’ta/Nuhku, terra-floresta, a partir do bahsese no alto rio Negro, no Noroeste Amazônico. A dissertação está dividida em uma introdução, acrescida por um contexto histórico e etnográfico, e dois capítulos centrais. No primeiro, a partir da proposta de uma tríade conceitual (kihti ukuse, bahsese e bahsamori) que abarca os domínios do saber Yepamahsã, situo o espaço Di´ta/Nʉhkʉ através das narrativas míticas; no segundo, realizo um esforço descritivo sobre a forma e o conteúdo do espaço Di´ta/Nʉhkʉ através de uma classificação dos seres (humanos e não-humanos) extraída dos agenciamentos dos especialistas kumuã. This society has two periods when dance is seen, one in the context of the evangelic cult and the other in the parties that happen during Easter, gatherings and at the end of the year. The concern here is to watch the use of these bodies through the daily movements, to comprehend the elements which are part of their dances. Understanding that the same elements which are present in this art form are inseparable from what can be seen in their daily lives. The dance is able to put under the spotlight essential aspects to understand a culture, as they are elected to be part of such art form. Therefore, the dance under the artisanship light has an important role in the education, in the building of these bodies, and so, is also a place of action / Este trabalho se propõe analisar a dança dos Waiwai, falantes de línguas da família caribe, localizados na aldeia Takará da Terra Indígena Trombeta-Mapuera. Essa sociedade possui dois momentos onde a dança aparece, um no contexto do culto evangélico e o outro nas festas que acontecem na Páscoa, assembleias e no final do ano. A preocupação aqui é observar o uso desses corpos através dos movimentos cotidianos, para compreender os elementos que compõem suas danças. Entendendo que os mesmos elementos que estão presentes nesta arte são inseparáveis dos que aparecem na vida cotidiana. A dança é capaz de colocar em evidência, aspectos indispensáveis para a compreensão de uma cultura, na medida em que, são selecionados para fazer parte de tal arte. Based on an ethnography of the archaeological work, the research anchors on the configurations between the agency of the material culture and the unfolding of this process between the different agents implied in the local discourse, as the reflection of the actions that have been focused on the policy of preservation of the Cultural heritage in the city and the network of relations that involve the political - cultural context, especially the agency and confrontation of ethnic minority groups, represented in this research by the Coordination of Indigenous Organizations of the Brazilian Amazon – COIAB and FEPI. / Essa pesquisa analisa as múltiplas visões de mundo e vozes representadas nos discursos que se confrontaram sobre a arqueologia no Paço da Liberdade a partir do enfoque interdisciplinar entre antropologia e arqueologia, correlacionando os paradigmas teóricos que apontam como objeto de estudo, práticas arqueológicas que culminaram em uma exposição da arqueologia no subsolo de uma sala do edifício, que neste trabalho, proponho conceituar como musealização arqueológica in situ. In this research work the idea of representation in an attempt to understand how disabled people are seen and see themselves in a comparative tone proposed by the field of social anthropology. This research try to analyze how is built the concept and category of calls disabilities, their constitution and discourses that define the state of being poor. Further analyze how assimilated the idea and notion of the person using the techniques of the body notions of Marcel Mauss. Present how the idea formed of a disabled person and their consequences. Show how the social game is done, showing the differences in an ideologically imbued discursive systematization. The body shows the demarcation of social differences transcending its meaning to a social discourse of stereotyping creating physical and attitudinal barriers. So if research shows the content of the stereotype imagery that shape discourses, social practices, and public sector policies, ideologies and prejudice elements that are evident throughout this work. / Nesta pesquisa tento analisar como é a vida de deficientes em um determinado espaço da sociedade, no Campus Universitário. Deste modo emprego a idéia da representação em uma tentativa de compreender como deficientes são vistos e se vêem, em um tom comparativo proposto pela área da antropologia social. Assim, tento analisar como é construído o conceito e a categoria das chamadas deficiências, sua constituição e discursos que delimitam o estado de ser deficiente. Analiso ainda como é assimilada a idéia de noção de pessoa e do uso das técnicas do corpo noções de Marcel Mauss. Apresento como é formada a idéia da pessoa deficiente e seus desdobramentos. Mostro como é feito o jogo social, evidenciando as diferenças em uma sistematização discursiva ideologicamente impregnada. O corpo evidencia a demarcação social das diferenças, transcendendo sua significação a um discurso social de estereotipia, criando barreiras físicas e atitudinais. Ao longo do texto as políticas públicas e setoriais, as ideologias e o preconceito serão elementos discutidos e evidenciados neste trabalho.

The research is based on recent events (since 1980) that made the group be characterized as a quilombo. I understand the process of identification as a series of discursive events that are influencing and creating new ways of operating the local ethnic identity. I see that the recent certification establishes collective articulations that have in one of the most spare elements, the concern of the interlocutors with community images. I highlight the dialogues that are associated with facing a series of stereotypes. Starting from the discontent raised by the inhabitants with whom I could talk, (who even challenged some of the more vulgar images of the quilombo) I deal with the relation between the imagination of alterity and the theme of identity representation. And the interest in the issue became more evident due to the constant local complaints about the history of discrimination based on the dark skin brand. Almost all the conversations have led one to believe that, with the process of recognition, there has also been a re-signification of materials linked to black ancestry: new understandings of the past of oppression, resistances to colonial slavery and the historically discrimination. This is an ethnographic account of the construction of subjects and social history that brings mythical, historical and intercultural elements, linked to self-identification, to present some of the layers of senses of the field experience lived in the ethnic borders of Kalunga communities. / Apresento um relato da experiência de campo nas comunidades negras rurais Kalunga, trazendo interlocuções sobre racialidade, estereótipos e o reconhecimento comunitário. É que a pesquisa está balizada em acontecimentos recentes (ocorridos a partir de 1980) que fizeram com que o grupo fosse caracterizado como um remanescente de quilombo. Compreendo o referido processo de identificação como uma série de eventos discursivos que estão influenciando e criando novas formas de operação da identidade étnica local. Vejo que a recente certificação ajuda a fundamentar articulações coletivas que têm em um dos elementos mais sobressalentes, a preocupação dos interlocutores com imagens que dizem do grupo e de si mesmos. Ao longo da escrita da dissertação, coloco em destaque os diálogos que estão associados ao enfrentamento de uma série de estereótipos. Partindo do descontentamento levantado pelos moradores com quem pude conversar, (que inclusive contestavam algumas das imagens mais vulgares do “aquilombamento”) trato da relação entre a imaginação da alteridade e o tema da representação identitária. E o interesse pela questão ficou mais evidente devido as constantes queixas locais que diziam do histórico de discriminações orientadas pela marca corporal da pele escura. Quase todas as conversas levaram a crer que, com o processo do reconhecimento, também vem ocorrendo a ressignificação de materiais vinculadas à ancestralidade negra: novos entendimentos do passado de opressão, das resistências à escravidão colonial e da discriminação historicamente sofrida. Trata-se de um relato etnográfico sobre a construção de sujeitos e da própria história social, por via da identidade narrativa, que destacando elementos míticos, históricos e interculturais, ligados à autoidentificação, tenta apresentar algumas das camadas de sentidos da experiência de campo vivida nas fronteiras étnicas das comunidades Kalunga.

It is focused on memories studies (BOSI, 2016), (HALBWACHS, 1990) and (ZUKIN, 2012), in addition to the identification of categories that make it possible to analyze both the sociability and practices networks present in these places (MAGNANI, 2012). Through field research and based on the narratives of interlocutors, it was possible to establish the existing urban dynamics in the city of Goiânia, the flow between the rural and urban environments and its relations with what is denominated old and modern. Methodologically, a greater incidence of light was provoked on the Market of Campinas, that made it possible to analyze, comparatively, the behavior in time of the other markets of the city. The conclusion was that, is spite of the strong external pressures that these places are submitted to, the capacity of agency of its permissionaries, especially the pioneers, is evident. / Esta dissertação de mestrado visa contribuir para o reconhecimento do patrimônio cultural existente nos mercados municipais, especialmente dos indivíduos que neles labutam, mediante ferramentas antropológicas, especialmente a etnografia. Voltada para os estudos de memória (BOSI, 2016), (HALBWACHS, 1990) e (ZUKIN, 2012), mas também, para a identificação de categorias que tornam possíveis analisar a rede de sociabilidade e práticas, presentes nesses lugares (MAGNANI, 2012). Mediante pesquisa de campo e baseado nas narrativas de interlocutores, foi possível estabelecer as dinâmicas urbanas existentes na cidade de Goiânia, o fluxo entre o ambiente rural e urbano e suas relações com o que é denominado velho e moderno. Metodologicamente, foi provocada uma maior incidência de luz sobre o Mercado de Campinas, que tornou possível analisar, comparativamente, o comportamento no tempo, dos demais mercados da cidade. A conclusão foi de que apesar das fortes pressões externas por que passam esses lugares, a capacidade de agência de seus permissionários, notadamente dos pioneiros, se evidencia.

Taking as a basis the “haze” category used by the group to designate a series of symptoms, discomforts and pains that a Xerente can feel is observed its ability to integrate narratives and experiences of sickness beyond the biomedical perspective. I work the diversity of subjects and therapeutic itineraries used by the group to alleviate and solve their discomforts, pains, sickness and afflictions. In this context, the narratives of patients and health professionals serves as the means of assessing the public health service that is offered to the group. / Este trabalho tem como objetivo discutir, compreender e interpretar processos e sujeitos que envolvem a saúde e o adoecimento dos Akwẽ Xerente. Toma-se como base a categoria hâze, utilizada pelo grupo para designar uma série de sintomas, mal estares e dores pelos quais um Xerente pode passar, e sua capacidade de integrar narrativas de experiência sobre enfermidades que vão além da perspectiva biomédica. Trabalho a diversidade dos sujeitos e itinerários terapêuticos aos quais o grupo recorre para aliviar e solucionar seus mal estares, dores, doenças e aflições. Utilizo tais narrativas para realizar apontamentos sobre uma avaliação do serviço de saúde público que é oferecido para o grupo.

Using the ethnographic method, the research leaned on the theoretical framework of urban anthropology and brought people who coexisted from the moment of structuring the local soccer to the moment that this sport underwent major international, national and local changes through globalization, dialoguing with David Harvey in questions of passage of time and changes in space and its implications in football. Then, through memory dialogues, I will restore a social configuration of collective memory regarding the link between the city of Goiânia and soccer. / Baseado nos estudos de memória, procurarei fazer um diálogo sobre o desenvolvimento do futebol fora dos campos, a partir da década de 60, e a realidade de clubes de futebol amador e semiprofissional. Utilizando o método etnográfico, a pesquisa se valeu do arcabouço teórico da antropologia urbana e trouxe pessoas que conviveram desde o momento de estruturação do futebol local até o período pelo qual esse esporte passou por grandes transformações internacionais, nacionais e locais através da globalização, dialogando com David Harvey nos quesitos de passagem do tempo e mudanças no espaço e suas implicações nesse processo. Então, por via de diálogos de memória, restituirei uma configuração social de memória coletiva acerca da conexão entre a cidade de Goiânia e o futebol.
