Previous issue date: 2010-03-31 / This study presents a discussion and research on the fields of expertise and skills developed
by professional ensemble pianists, evaluating their role and acquisition of the area‟s specific
knowledge. It also proposes a definition to the terms correpetidor, collaborator and chamber
musician. The first chapter deals with the role, importance and function of these ensemble
musicians since its first performance manifestations in music history. The second chapter
traces the outline of each field of activity showing the routines and skills inherent to each
field. For conducting this study was submitted a semi-structured questionnaire to professional
pianists in each area, which provided information about their work routines and developed
skills. In the conclusion the author offers a curriculum for a graduate course addressing
subjects that involve the skills discussed. / Este estudo apresenta uma discussão e investigação sobre os campos de atuação e habilidades
desenvolvidas por pianistas profissionais de conjunto, avaliando suas funções e aquisição de
conhecimento específico da área. Também propõe definições para utilização dos termos
colaborador, correpetidor e camerista. O primeiro capítulo trata da atuação, importância e
função dos músicos acompanhadores desde suas primeiras manifestações na história da
música. O segundo capítulo traça o perfil de cada campo de atuação de pianistas de conjunto
evidenciando as rotinas e habilidades inerentes a cada campo. Para a realização deste estudo
foi encaminhado questionário semi-estruturado a pianistas atuantes das áreas, os quais
forneceram informações acerca do seu trabalho e das aptidões comuns a esta classe de
pianistas. Na conclusão o autor oferece uma grade curricular para um curso Lato Sensu de
especialização contemplando disciplinas que envolvem as habilidades discutidas.

However, the frequent disconnection among sport scientists, coaches, and athletes often leads to miscommunication and increased potential for performance barriers. The creation of sport performance enhancement groups (SPEGs) can help with the professional integration and communication among all personnel involved in the training process. However, SPEG formation faces a number of barriers in the current coaching landscape. The application of a benefits-based programming (BBP) model may aid in the formation of an SPEG and the dissemination of education for coaches, athletes, and administrators. A field experience involving the BBP model and SPEG creation in a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II school is presented with multiple model iterations

The similarities and differences of interpretation of various interactions between high school athletes with their male and female athletic coaches were examined. This study also investigated the actual incidence of sexual harassment by male and female high school athletic coaches as reported by female athletes.<p>The study population included male and female athletic coaches currently coaching a female high school athletic team and female college students who participated in high school athletics.</p><p>This researcher, in order to accommodate the study population and research questions, adapted the Sexual Harassment Survey (1995) by Margery J. Holman, Ph.D. Female student athletes and male and female coaches responded to survey questions on demographics and their perceptions and understanding of described behaviors. The student athletes completed an additional section of the survey pertaining to their experience of sexual harassment.</p><p>Descriptive statistics (including frequencies and percentages as well as means and standard deviations) and inferential statistics (One-Way Analysis of Variance with a Scheffe test of significance) were used to analyze the data.</p><p>A comparison of the responses of all three groups (female athletes, male coaches and female coaches) to questions pertaining to perceptions of sexual harassment indicated agreement among the groups in the identification of inappropriate behaviors. However, there was a significant difference in the level of agreement for seven described behaviors. In general, male and female coaches agreed with each other more often than with female athletes when identifying the behaviors associated with sexual harassment. The investigation of incidence indicated that female athletes experienced more behaviors associated with sexual harassment from male coaches than from female coaches. Undersökningen består av strukturerade telefonintervjuer blandat med litteratur- och artikelstudier där syftet var att ta reda på i vilken utsträckning NLP – <em>neurolingvistisk programmering</em> – förekommer i coaching av arbetslösa och hur det används. Urvalsgruppen finns i 14 av Sveriges 21 län och består av kommunala, privata och statligt anställda jobbcoacher som arbetar med individer som står utanför arbetsmarknaden. Resultatet visar att NLP i coaching av arbetslösa inte är en vanlig modell utan det lösningsfokuserade arbetssättet dominerar. Studien belyser att förhållningssätt, begrepp, metoder, inställning till klienter och kommunikativa verktyg är centralt inom all coaching. Sexual Harassment Among Turkish Female Athletes: The Role Of Ambivalent SexismZengin, Ezgi 01 September 2012 (has links) (PDF)
The aim of the thesis was to focus on sexual harassment in sport in Turkey and the role of ambivalent sexism on attitudes toward sexual harassment. 170 female university students, playing in team sports participated to the study. Demographic Information Form, Coach Behaviors List (CBL), Responses to Sexual Harassment in Sport (RSHS) Scale, Attitudes toward Sexual Harassment (ASH) Scale, and Ambivalent Sexism Inventory (ASI) were used in the study. Mean and standard deviations of coach behaviors and responses to sexual harassment were calculated in order to have descriptive information about the acceptance levels and frequency levels of them. Hierarchical multiple regression analysis showed unique predictions of age, political view, hostile sexism (HS), and benevolent sexism (BS) in female athletes&rsquo / attitudes toward viewing sexual harassment as the result of provocative behaviors of women (ASHPBW), but not in attitudes toward accepting sexual harassment as a trivial matter (ASHTM). ASHPBW, ASHTM, and HS were found as predictors of ASBC, but not for ANPTBC. In predicting the three dimensions of RSHS, years of sport experience, ASHPBW, ASHTM, and BS were found to be significant. This thesis mainly contributed to the literature by (1) development of RSHS scale, and adaptation of CBL for Turkey, (2) supporting the relationship between ASH and ambivalent sexist attitudes in sport environment, (3) investigating the predicting powers of ASHPBW, ASHTM, HS, and BS on acceptability of coach&rsquo / s negative behaviors, and (4) investigating the predictive powers of HS and BS on RSHS.

Detta arbete består av en undersökning om hur en musiklärare och en idrottstränare jobbar med deras elever respektive spelare inför en prestation. Undersökningen inkluderar också hur musikläraren och idrottstränaren jobbar med efterarbetet av en prestation. Genom kvalitativa intervjuer och observationer har jag undersökt deras olika metoder. Resultaten visar att både musikläraren och idrottstränaren jobbar aktivt med både förberedelden och efterarbetet av prestationen. Det finns många likheter och olikheter i deras undervisningsprocess som kommer fram i resultaten. Men det går inte utifrån resultaten att dra några generella slutsater som likheter och olikheter för arbete med prestationer inom musik respektive sport. / This essay contains of a study on how a music teacher and a sports coach are working with their students and players before an achievement. The study also includes the music teacher and sports coach tuition with the after work of an achievement. I have investigated their different methods through qualitative interviews and observations. The results show that both the music teacher and sports coach works diligent with both the before and after work of an achievement. Many similarities and differences in their tuition process are shown in the results. However, based on the results of the study you cannot draw any general conclusions on how the work of an achievement differs between music and sport.

Abstract The purpose of this study was to analyze in what extent Umeå municipality health coaches uses their policy "work environment, health and rehabilitation" in social services workplaces. Furthermore was the purpose to analyze the policy "work environment, health and rehabilitation" with help from Bacchi’s policy analyzing model. The study was based on a qualitative design and involved seven health coaches from the social service. Interviews were conducted and analyzed with sentence concentration. The result showed that it differs from person to person on which view on health they have and what they believe represent health promoting work. Most of the interviewees notions and understandings of health and health promoting work are however the same as the municipality’s. The health coaches follow the municipality’s directions on how the assignment should be executed, though they vary in the degree of engagement. Furthermore, all of the interviewees experience that they have the support from the municipality that they need. A few of them though lack the support from their leader. Finally, the result from the policy-analyze showed that Umeå municipality’s problem was that their quality of work was inadequate. It also showed that the municipality put a lot of responsibility on the leaders, but that they should take more accountability themselves.

The survey was handed to all employees in Försäljningsservice i Bergslagen. Conclusion: We came to the conclusions that the performance-based salary affect employee sales volumes positively because it increases motivation. The rewards are also motivating and leads to increased job performance. The sales coach also influence directly, through her work, the sales staff performances.

Syfte: Syftet med studien var att undersöka hur lärandet av yrkesrollen som hälsocoach bidrar till att forma den personliga identiteten. Syftet var även att undersöka hur denna lärprocess skulle kunna påverka hälsocoachernas individuella hälsa, genom beskrivningar av deras personliga förhållningssätt till hälsa. Metod: Föreliggande studie har haft en kvalitativ metodansats där datainsamlingen har skett genom sex semistrukturerade intervjuer med yrkesverksamma hälsocoacher. Studien hade en hermeneutisk epistemologisk ansats, och utgick vidare från ett abduktivt arbetssätt. Det empiriska materialet sammanställdes till olika teman och analyserades sedan utifrån det teoretiska ramverket. Resultat: Resultatet visade att deltagarna identifierar sig med yrkesrollen som hälsocoach, och att det kan vara svårt att bortse från rollen som hälsocoach även i privata sammanhang. Genom sociala interaktioner med kunder och kollegor har hälsocoacherna lärt sig vad yrket kräver och har utvecklats i sin yrkesroll genom att anamma särskilda egenskaper och färdigheter som anses viktiga för yrkesrollen. Genom att utvecklas i yrkesrollen som hälsocoach har intervjupersonerna fått ökad kunskap inom hälsoområdet och vidare fått en mer balanserad syn på hälsa. Hälsocoacherna anser att det finns yttre förväntningar på hur de bör vara och agera, men upplever inga negativa konsekvenser av detta. Slutsats: Lärprocessen som sker inom yrkesrollen har format hälsocoacherna på så sätt att särskilda egenskaper utvecklats och yrkesrollen har blivit en stor del av den personliga identiteten. Den ökade kunskapen och utvecklingen i yrkesrollen har bidragit till att hälsocoacherna har förändrat sitt sätt att tolka, tillämpa och förstå hälsoinformation. Detta har i sin tur resulterat i ett mer balanserat förhållningssätt till hälsa, vilket i sin tur kan ha positiva hälsoeffekter. / Aim: The purpose of this study was to examine how the learning of the professional role as health coach contributes to shape the personal identity. The aim was also to investigate how this learning process could affect the health coaches' individual well-being, through their descriptions of personal approach to health. Method: The present study had a qualitative methodological approach, where data collection occurred through six semi-structured interviews with professional health coaches. The empirical data were compiled into themes and then analyzed through the theoretical framework. Results: The results shows that learning, in terms of interactions with customers and colleagues, and the adoption of particular characteristics and skills, may influence the personal identity of health coaches. Through learning, the individuals identified themselves, even in private settings, with the professional role. Due to learning, the health coaches have a more balanced approach to diet, exercise, and individual health. Conclusion: The learning process that takes place within the professional role has shaped the health coaches in such ways that special characteristics has developed and the professional role has become a big part of their personal identity. Furthermore, the results also shows that learning may influence the way of interpreting, applying, and understanding health information. Even their personal approach to health has changed for more balanced, which in turn may have positive health effects.
