Previous issue date: 2018-10-02 / Conselho Nacional de Pesquisa e Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico - CNPq / This master's research aimed to analyze the accessibility and mobility of public spaces located in the historical center of the city of Goiás-GO, in relation to the use of spaces and places by the person with physical disability. The city of Goiás presents itself as a historical patrimony of Humanity and has built its architectural, historical and cultural appearance with the profile of a mining city, with Catholic religious predominance and buildings marked by slavery. The city that was once the capital of the state, grew in an unplanned urbanistic way, the historic center was maintained where monuments and buildings can be traced back to the beginning of the history of the state, however its buildings that have undergone several reforms do not count with restorations / adaptations in favor of accessibility, making it difficult for physically handicapped visitors and residents of the city itself. Many of its residents who have some kind of physical disability had little access to the culture and leisure provided by their museums, churches and other spaces as a result of stones, staircases and non-standard accessibility ramps. The barriers that the historic center generates go beyond the difficulty of access caused by physical barriers due to the difficulty of accessing their spaces, but the generation of attitudinal barriers and diverse constraints that affect them and makes them try to avoid certain routes and not be able to enjoy parties traditional, even religious, among others. With the present research it was possible to note that Goiás 12 is a city that presents a high rate of accessibility and mobility unfeasibility, which ends up compromising not only people with physical disability or reduced mobility, but also the entire population, since investments could intensify tourism and therefore income in the city. We have worked with the idea that capitalism intertwines the most varied areas of human experience, where the commodified body suffers interference from space in the same way that it has become a biopower space and this biopower interferes in spaces. Taking the considerations that urban planning and reorganization measures need to be made and carried out so that the historic center and the city as a whole can receive the entire public in an egalitarian way, accessibility is not understood here as the only way to improve conditions of the lives of people with physical disabilities, but without a doubt it is a beginning towards equity, destroying the walls of prejudice and exclusion, overcoming the invisible barriers between normal sayings and people with any physical disabilities.

disrespect of the labor market in the constitution of the identity of the disabled
worker and the meanings of metamorphosis caused in the midst of this form of
relationship, and to evaluate possible alternatives for emancipatory movements
of workers with disabilities in this situation. Our main theoretical theories were:
Identity and Metamorphosis, by Antonio da Costa Ciampa; Recognition and
disrespect, by Axel Honneth, and the concept of social empowerment of Jurgen
Habermas. We use the method of the life history, as allowed us to verify the
uniqueness of an individual and the aspects related to issues pertaining to the
vast majority of people with disabilities in our society; finally, this material has
enabled us to realize that both the recognition of situations how much
disrespect experienced by the individual, can leverage significant disruptions
with characters and fetishistic situations in which recognition occurs favoring the
emergence of internal resources capable of directing the metamorphosis of
individual emancipation, without, however, be sufficient when it comes to
fighting for recognition, because this fight is only effective when there is sharing
the feeling of disrespect and is generated, thus a collective movement towards
changing the social reality / O presente trabalho visa identificar os impactos do reconhecimento e
realidade social

Issues of socialjustice and equity are central tenets of the concept of inclusive education. In the struggle to achieve social equity and createeducational experiences where disability does not matter, it seams to matter verymuch. The aim of this study is to illustrate a dilemma and its potential outcomeswhere demands for justice for pupils with physical disabilities are raised in inclusivephysical education. In the study, based on theories of redistribution andrecognition, two empirical examples are presented. The first example, in the context of the decentralisation of Swedish compulsoryschools, illustrates degrees of awareness about numbers of pupils with physicaldisabilities attending compulsory schools located in a case municipality. Foursources, with varying responsibilities for disabled children, all reported differentnumbers of pupils. Thus, with no congruent data at municipality level, distribu-tion and redistribution of necessary resources becomes difficult. In the second example of a ten year old boy with a physical disability, experiences of participation in inclusive physical education are described, fromthe perspective of five different actors (the boy himself, his PE teachers (2), hisparents, classmates, and his personal assistant).Data for this case study was gathered through interviews and systematic ob-servation. In this particular case, the outcome of inclusive PE was judged to besuccessful. The example illustrates the importance of recognition needing to befulfilled at several distributive levels. The positive outcome is discussed in terms ofthe combination of identification of particular special needs, sensitive adaptation, and general respect for the child with physical disability.Dilemmas of justice for disabled pupils in physical education are best studiedwithin a multi-level context. Controle da Hanseníase: Detecção precoce através do exame de contatos e avaliação do tratamento dos pacientes submetidos a 12 doses de poliquimioterapia (PQT/OMS) / Leprosy control: early detection by surveillance of contacts and treatment of multibacillary patients treated with multidrug therapy - (12 doses/WHO)Anna Maria Sales 28 April 2011 (has links)
Early diagnosis and treatment are essential for the control of leprosy disease, since they aim to eliminate as soon as possible sources of transmission. The main criterion for cure of the disease is the treatment time, related to fixed doses of multidrug therapy. The duration of treatment of multibacillary patients was reduced from 24 to 12 doses up to 18 months in 1998. The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the detection of leprosy among contacts of patients and to evaluate risk factors
associated with worsening of physical disability in patients after discharge from the treatment with 12 monthly doses. Two articles have been prepared. The first article evaluated characteristics of leprosy patients and their contacts related to risk of disease among the contacts. The second article evaluated risk factors related to the worsening of the physical disabilities of patients with multibacillary leprosy, undergoing treatment with fixed doses of 12 multidrug therapy. The results showed that the risk for leprosy among contacts was related to the type of relationship with the index case. Among the factors of the index cases, the bacterial load was the only factor associated with the disease among contacts. Besides these factors, the contacts that are related to consanguinity with the index case and contacts of patients with lower education level showed a greater chance of presenting patients at diagnosis of the index case. The scar and the BGC vaccine received after the
diagnosis of the index case contributed independently as protective factors. Neuropathy worsened in 40% of patients during the 10 years after the discharge of treatment. This worsening was associated with the presence of physical disabilities and number of lesions at time of diagnosis as well as the presence of neuritis during monitoring.

Individuální plánování jako nástroj pro zvyšování kvality sociální služby osobní asistence u lidí s těžkým tělesným postižením a seniorů v Praze / Individual planning as a tool of quality increasing social service of personal assistance in people with disability and seniors in PrahaSEDLÁKOVÁ, Kateřina January 2013 (has links)
This diploma thesis is concerned with individual planning with regard to the social service of personal assistance. The theoretical part contains a description of the origin and history of personal assistance in the world and in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part elaborates in detail on the no. 5 standard of quality of services provided and its four criteria. It also provides an overview of existing approaches toward individual planning of the social service of personal assistance for the target group of people with physical disabilities and seniors, including their positives and negatives, which the system of individual planning brings to providers of the social service of personal assistance and its users. The diploma thesis had two goals. The first was to ascertain the value of individual planning for users of the social service of personal assistance. The second was to assess the benefits that individual planning brings to organizations that provide the social service of personal assistance to people with serious physical disabilities and seniors with regard to improving the efficacy of the work of their employees. The practical part is based on qualitative research, with the main method of data collection being semi-structured interviews. The results showed that users do not see a major change in the way personal assistance is provided after the introduction of the individual planning system when compared to the situation before. Users mainly appreciated the fact that assistants are well-prepared even before the provision of assistance starts. This factor was unequivocally praised as a positive and a reason why individual planning should be introduced. In conclusion, the only negative aspect of individual planning for the employees was considered to be a higher administrative load, which, however, they were able to handle in the end, according their responses. On the other hand, both groups considered the greater level of preparedness of the social workers ? personal assistants during their social work a big benefit.

Previous issue date: 2014-02-26 / Universidade Federal de Sao Carlos / To reflect about the need for development of motor abilities to any individual, and considering that most of children with physical disabilities are partially or totally privates of the exploration of their bodies and diversified motor experiences, emerged the ideal of systematization of a program of sporting initiation, using itself games and play with goal of developing the fundamental motor abilities (stabilizers, locomotors, manipulative) aimed at sporting initiation. Thus, this study had as goal to check the influence of a sporting initiation program in the development of fundamental motor abilities of children with physical disabilities. Specifically, we seek to elaborate, apply and describe a sporting initiation program directed to children with physical disabilities; to establish criteria/ parameters for evaluation of fundamental motor abilities of children with physical disabilities contextualized in a sporting initiation program; to verify in which areas of fundamental motor abilities of children with physical disabilities the program exercised greater or lesser influence, before and after the proposed intervention. This is a study of quali-quantitative approach, it characterized as research field, of type quantitative-descriptive directed to "study of evaluation of the program". The study sample was incorporated for three children with physical disabilities, of both genders (2 M and 1 F) and age range between six and ten years old. The instruments of data collection utilized were the systematic observation (the tab) and Evaluation Protocol of Sporting Initiation (PAIE) that was developed by the researcher as a means of evaluating the program and the evolution of the participants. The research was divided in four steps: 1) The achievement the anamnesis 2) The application of initial evaluation 3) The development of the program of sporting initiation for children with physical disabilities, which lasted eight weeks, three sessions / lessons per weeks, for a total of twenty four sessions in a period of two-month of intervention. Each one of sessions was planned with average duration of fifty minutes; 4) The application of final evaluation. As a way of analysis of the data obtained by means of the protocol, it was utilized descriptive statistic analysis; the field diary was interpreted in the light of content analysis. The suggested and employee instrument as parameters for evaluation pre and post intervention (PAIE) was sensitive for the characteristics of the children with physical disabilities participating in the study; being able to check the involved variables in the program. Analysis of the results showed that the involved participants in the study (n=3) obtained improvements in each one of three fundamental motor abilities. It was possible to conclude that in general, the program of sporting initiation directed for children with physical disabilities was efficient for the development these abilities.
