Impensée mais structurante, refoulée mais exhibée : la mobilité urbaine des marchandises / Urban freight mobility : a paradox and a challenge

Encore méconnu il y a une trentaine d’années, le transport de marchandises en ville connaît aujourd’hui un essor scientifique incontestable, sous la tutelle d’instances nationales et internationales. Le sujet émerge aujourd’hui comme un enjeu d’autant plus fort que les modes de consommation et de gestion logistique restructurent les flux de biens et impactent la durabilité des villes. Pour autant, il semblerait que l’aménageur peine à se saisir à l’échelle locale de cette nouvelle thématique. Elément essentiel au fonctionnement du système urbain, le transport de marchandises reste ainsi un élément généralement ignoré par les décideurs publics, s’il n’est pas vécu comme une manifestation néfaste de l’activité urbaine.Dans cette thèse nous examinons, à l’échelle des collectivités territoriales l’intégration d’une thématique encore considérée comme faiblement structurante pour l’aménageur public. Si le transport de marchandises en ville a nécessité au début des années 1990 une conceptualisation différente du transport de fret interurbain, ce sujet exige également une adaptation spécifique aux enjeux que se pose l’aménageur. En ce sens nous, discutons les bases conceptuelles permettant de passer d’une approche technique et statistique du transport à la mobilité urbaine des marchandises pour englober les dynamiques du système urbain des « marchandises ». A travers neuf agglomérations françaises, nous confrontons les dispositifs stratégiques d’aménagement aux spécificités de la mobilité urbaine des marchandises et les conflits et incohérences qui en découlent. Nous développons par la suite le cas lyonnais pour illustrer les dynamiques et interactions territoriales complexes qui sous-tendent la mobilité urbaine des marchandises et l’évolution ainsi que les limites de la prise en compte de cette thématique. Enfin, pour discuter les effets de ces modes d’(in)action sur l’environnement urbain nous détaillons le processus d’intégration opérationnelle de la mobilité des marchandises dans deux opérations d’aménagement emblématiques de la ville de Lyon, le projet Lyon-Confluence et la rue Garibaldi.Malgré l’existence d’outils de mesure et d’action, nous montrons que la mobilité urbaine des marchandises est une thématique encore illégitime, en conflit avec le processus d’aménagement classique. Dans ce contexte les techniciens spécialistes du sujet se retrouvent marginalisés du processus d’aménagement mais servent toutefois d’alibi technique et politique pour afficher les capacités de réflexions de la collectivité sur une thématique complexe. / Still widely unexplored thirty years ago, urban freight transport is now undergoing an indisputable scientific development under the tutelage of national and international institutions. This subject now emerges as a substantial issue since consumers’ behaviours and supply chain management evolutions strongly impact cities’ sustainability. However, it seems that urban planners hardly take this new topic into account on a local level. Although it is an essential function of the urban system, freight transport remains widely unregarded by public decision makers, when it is not considered as a negative consequence of urban activity.This thesis focuses on the integration of a subject envisioned as poorly structuring for urban planners, studied here at the local authorities’ level. In the 1990s the necessity emerged for urban freight transport to be conceptualised in a way that differed from interurban freight transport. We now also consider that this subject needs to be specifically adapted to suit urban planners’ issues and we discuss the conceptual bases necessary to shift from a technical and statistical approach of transport to a view of urban freight mobility encompassing the dynamics of the “urban freight” system. Relying on the examples of nine French conurbations, we then confront urban planning policies to the specificities of urban freight mobility and describe the resulting conflicts and inconsistencies. We then develop the case of Lyons to illustrate the complex territorial dynamics and interactions underlying urban freight mobility and provide an analysis of how the actors’ awareness of this topic has evolved and to what extent it can be raised. Finally, in order to study the effects the (in)actions of city planners on urban environment we detail the process of integration of freight mobility through two urban development operations in Lyons, the “Lyon Confluence” project and the Garibaldi street project.Despite the existence of measuring and action tools, we show that urban freight mobility is still an illegitimate subject, at odds with mainstream urban planning. In this context, freight specialists in local authorities are largely kept away from the planning process, but are exposed and used as an alibi to demonstrate the capacity of public authorities to work on a complex subject.

In an inclusive school environment, an important aspect of the role of educational psychologists that seems to be a promising picture in this profession is to promote and develop strategies and guidelines for consideration and adoption of the Collaborative Consultation in the Schools, building partnership with teachers and families. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of a preventive intervention program, based in the principles of the Collaborative Consultation in Schools and the Positive Behavior Support models, designed to prevent and minimize behavior problems. The study has been conducted in three 1st. grade classrooms in a public elementary school located within the state of São Paulo, assessing three teachers of these classrooms, fifty-five pupils, and eighteen families participation. The study has been carried out in four phases. In Phase 1, the ethical procedures were followed to contact the school. In Phase 2 at the pre-test stage, participating families were asked to complete the Parenting Styles Inventory (PSI) instruments as well as the teachers were requested to complete the Child and Youth Behavior Inventory (6-18 years)/Teacher Report Form (TRF). In Phase 3, the preventive intervention program was implemented, targeting and focusing on teachers, pupils, and participating families. Finally, in Phase 4, at post-test stage, both instruments were repeated and moreover individual focal groups meetings were held with teachers and families in order to examine the social validity of the study as well as it was gathered qualitative data to analyze the effects of the previously applied intervention program. To assess the impact of the intervention, MANOVA test was applied to the results obtained with the PSI and the TRF. Regarding parenting styles, there was a statistically significant increase in the parenting style index, with respect to the positive monitoring and moral behavior, and a statistically significant decrease in relaxed discipline, and in the negative monitoring. In relation to student behavior, according to reports from teachers, there was a statistically significant decrease either in internalizing or externalizing problems, or in total problems. The results of the focal group meetings held with the families provided information about favorable and unfavorable aspects of the intervention; it was noticed positive changes in child and family behavior; it was evaluated the position of a psychologist within the school. Finally, the meetings with the teachers allowed to gather information about the characteristics of the collaboration that were included in the developed intervention; favorable and unfavorable aspects of the intervention; positive changes related to student behavior at school and their quality of life; degree of applicability of the developed strategies; evaluation of the position of a psychologist at the school. / A perspectiva da inclusão escolar tem demandado novos papéis para os profissionais da escola. Um papel que parece promissor para o psicólogo no ambiente escolar inclusivo é o de prestar Consultoria Colaborativa Escolar, atuando em parceria com professores e familiares. O objetivo do estudo foi avaliar os efeitos de um programa de intervenção preventiva, baseado nos modelo de Consultoria Colaborativa Escolar e Suporte Comportamental Positivo, voltado para prevenir e minimizar problemas comportamentais. O estudo foi realizado em três salas de aula do primeiro ano de uma escola municipal de ensino fundamental, localizada no interior do estado de São Paulo, e contou com a participação das três professoras de sala, 55 alunos e 18 familiares. O estudo foi conduzido em quatro etapas. Na Etapa 1, foram realizados os procedimentos éticos e foi efetuado o contato com a escola. Na Etapa 2, fase de pré-teste, foram aplicados os instrumentos Inventário de Estilos Parentais (IEP), junto aos familiares participantes, e o Inventário dos Comportamentos de Crianças e Adolescentes 6-18 anos/Relatório para Professores (TRF), junto às professoras. Na Etapa 3, o programa de intervenção preventiva foi implementado e teve como alvo as professoras, os alunos e os familiares participantes. Por fim, na Etapa 4, fase de pós-teste, os dois instrumentos foram reaplicados e foram realizadas reuniões de grupo focal com as professoras e os familiares, separadamente, com o objetivo de verificar a validade social do estudo assim como levantar dados qualitativos sobre os efeitos do programa de intervenção realizado. Para avaliar o impacto da intervenção, foi aplicado o teste MANOVA nos resultados obtidos por meio do IEP e do TRF. Quanto aos estilos parentais, houve aumento estatisticamente significativo no índice de estilo parental (iep), no que diz respeito à monitoria positiva e ao comportamental moral, e diminuição estatisticamente significativa na disciplina relaxada e na monitoria negativa. Em relação ao comportamento dos alunos, segundo relato das professoras, houve diminuição estatisticamente significativa nos comportamentos do tipo internalizante, externalizante e nos problemas totais. As reuniões de grupo focal realizadas com os familiares permitiram levantar dados sobre aspectos favoráveis e desfavoráveis da intervenção; mudanças positivas observadas no comportamento das crianças e dos familiares; avaliação sobre a presença do psicólogo na escola. Finalmente, as reuniões com as professoras possibilitaram levantar informações sobre as características da colaboração que estavam presentes na intervenção desenvolvida; aspectos favoráveis e desfavoráveis da intervenção realizada; mudanças positivas relacionadas com o comportamento dos alunos na escola e com a qualidade de vida dos mesmos; grau de aplicabilidade das estratégias desenvolvidas; avaliação sobre a presença do psicólogo na escola.

Democracia sem maioria : a experiência do Conselho de Desenvolvimento Econômico e Social do Rio Grande do Sul e as condições para validade da concertação social

Em meio às manifestações sociais crescentes, as insuficiências das democracias representativas em recepcionar e fluir as expectativas sociais, e estados nacionais fracos e subordinados aos mercados financeiros globais, novas institucionalidades democráticas interrogam as democracias existentes. Coerente com estas questões, a tese desenvolvida neste estudo propõe que o tamanho do desafio exige mais democracia, não menos. A ampliação dos modelos de democracia participativa, combinados em um sistema que integre participação cidadã, democratização da gestão e interação em redes, alargam o modelo representativo e garantem novos canais de comunicação entre sociedade e Estado. São alternativas disponíveis às democracias. Dentre elas, interessa verificar as condições para a validade de processos de concertação social em arranjos de ampla representação societal. O modelo referenciado na teoria habermasiana transporta a esfera pública e a estrutura comunicacional original adequando-as conceitualmente ao espaço público institucional e à concertação social, respectivamente. Durante os quatro anos de existência do Conselho de Desenvolvimento Econômico e Social do Rio Grande do Sul (CDES RS) quase duzentas propostas elaboradas por noventa conselheiros e conselheiras da sociedade civil e dez do governo, a partir de um processo dialógico e colaborativo, foram tratadas e encaminhadas pelo executivo estadual. O resultado foi possível, conforme o estudo, por uma série não exaustiva de condicionantes para a validade da concertação social, um conjunto reconhecível e executável de políticas e práticas democráticas. Todavia, defende, ainda, a diversificação dos arranjos institucionais participativos como formas complementares de democracia, multifacetada e transversalizada, para sociedades complexas fruto das novas formas de acumulação capitalista e da transformação dos sujeitos no mundo do trabalho. / In the midst of growing social manifestations, the inadequacies of representative democracies in welcoming and flowing social expectations, and weak national states subordinated to global financial markets, new democratic institutions question the existing democracies. Coherent with these questions, the thesis developed in this study proposes that the size of the challenge requires more democracy, not less. The expansion of participative democracy models, combined in a system that integrates citizen participation, democratization of management and interaction in networks, broadens the representative model and guarantees new channels of communication between society and State. They are alternatives available to democracies. Among them, it is important to verify the conditions for validity of social concertation processes in arrangements of broad societal representation. The model referenced in the Habermasian theory transports the public sphere and the original communicational structure, adapting them conceptually to the public institutional space and the social conciliation, respectively. During the four years of existence of the Social and Economic Development Council of Rio Grande do Sul (CDES RS), almost two hundred proposals prepared by ninety councilors and councilors of civil society and ten of the government, from a dialogical and collaborative process, were treated And forwarded by the state executive. The result was, according to the study, a nonexhaustive set of constraints to the validity of social concertation, a recognizable and enforceable set of democratic policies and practices. However, it also defends the diversification of participatory institutional arrangements as complementary forms of democracy, multifaceted and cross-cutting, for complex societies resulting from new forms of capitalist accumulation and the transformation of subjects into the world of work.

Do corredor ao consultório : diversidade e multifuncionalidade da consulta de enfermagem na Atenção Básica de Porto Alegre - RS

Este estudo descreve e analisa o universo da Consulta de Enfermagem (CE) desenvolvida por enfermeiras da Rede de Serviços de Atenção Básica de Saúde de Porto Alegre. Foram analisados 95 serviços de saúde de diferentes origens institucionais como: Unidades de Saúde; Unidades de Saúde da Família; Ambulatórios e Centros de Saúde; Unidades Particulares/Conveniadas e Unidades Mistas, localizadas em diferentes regiões do município de Porto Alegre. O número total de enfermeiras que aceitaram participar foi de 127, correspondendo a 80,9% da população das que atuam na Atenção Básica. Entre os objetivos constam descrever o universo dessa prática assistencial considerando concepções e métodos, o perfil das enfermeiras e sua inserção nos serviços de Atenção Básica de Saúde. O delineamento deste estudo é exploratório e descritivo, transversal, com abordagem analítica quanti-qualitativa. A coleta de dados baseou-se em um formulário e um guia de entrevistas. Revelou um universo heterogêneo, diversificado e multifuncional em relação à prática da CE pelas enfermeiras no cotidiano dos serviços de saúde. Dentre elas, 85,8% das entrevistadas desenvolvem CE, evidenciando essa prática como central na sua atuação profissional. A atuação na CE influencia e é influenciada pelas interações de trabalho; pela composição das equipes de saúde; pelo local de realização da consulta; pelas demandas assistenciais; pelas estratégias de acesso dos usuários ao serviço; pelas exigências e protocolos institucionais através de programas de saúde pública e acolhimento, e pela própria concepção de CE que cada enfermeira dá para a sua prática profissional. Evidenciou-se que a CE configura-se em estratégia assistencial substancial à demanda dos serviços, representada nos quantitativos de atendimentos e na complexidade das situações de saúde e de doença da clientela. Pode-se afirmar que existem diferentes concepções e práticas de CE, sendo definidas por um leque de ações que se estendem da formalidade a informalidade nos diferentes espaços dos serviços. Por fim, constata-se que a prática da CE foi ampliada e fortalecida com a implantação da Estratégia de Saúde da Família na Atenção Básica de Porto Alegre nos últimos anos. / This study describes and analyses the environment of Nursing Consultation (NC) developed by nurses of the Basic Health Attention Service Network in Porto Alegre. Ninety five (95) health services of different institutional origins were analyzed, they are: Health Units; Family Health Units; Policlinic and Health Centers; Private/Covenanted Units; and Mixed Units, located in different regions of Porto Alegre. The total number of nurses who participated was 127, corresponding to 80,9% of the population of the ones who work in the basic attention. Among the objectives of this study there are the description of the universe of the assistance practice which takes into consideration the concepts and methods, the profile of the nurses and their insertion in the basic health attention service. The outline of this study is exploratory, descriptive and transversal, with an analytical quanti-qualitative approach. The collection of the data was based in a form of interviews. After the analysis, the mentioned universe showed to be heterogeneous, diversified and multifunctional in relation to the practice of the NC performed by the nurses in their daily work in the health service. Among them, 85,8% of the interviewees work with NC, they evidence such practice as being core in their acting in this kind of health service. Their acting in NC influences and it is influenced by work interactions; by the composition of the health teams; by the place of the consultation; by the demands of assistance; by strategies of users’ access to the service; and, by the requirements and institutional protocols through programs of public health. It was made evident that NC is a substantial assistance strategy to the demands of the service, which is represented in the high number of consultations and in the complexity of the health situations and patients’ sickness. We can affirm that there are different conceptions and practices of NC. They may be defined by a varied range of actions which go from the formality to the informality in different places which offer health service. It was verified that the practice of NC was amplified and fortified with the implantation of the Family Health Strategy in basic attention which happened in the city of Porto Alegre in the last years. / Este estudio describe y analiza el universo de la Consulta de Enfermería (CE) desarrollada por enfermeras de la Red de Servicios de Atención Básica de Salud de Porto Alegre. Fueron analizados 95 servicios de salud de diferentes orígenes institucionales como: Unidades de Salud; Unidades de Salud de la Familia; Ambulatorios y Centros de Salud; Unidades Particulares/Conveniadas y Unidades Mixtas, localizadas en diferentes regiones del municipio de Porto Alegre. Entre ellas 85,8% de las entrevistadas desarrollan CE, evidenciando esa práctica como central en su actuación en ese ámbito de la salud. Esa actuación en la CE influencia y está influenciada por las interacciones de trabajo; por la composición de los equipos de salud; por el lugar donde se realiza de la consulta; por las demandas asistenciales; por las estrategias de acceso de los usuarios al servicio; por las exigencias y protocolos institucionales a través de programas de salud pública y acogimiento. Se evidenció que la CE se configura en estrategia asistencial substancial a la demanda de los servicios, representada en los cuantitativos de atendimientos y en la complejidad de las situaciones de salud y de enfermedad de la clientela. Se puede afirmar que existen diferentes concepciones y prácticas de CE, siendo definidas por un conjunto de acciones que se extienden de la formalidad a la informalidad en los diferentes espacios de los servicios. Se constata que la práctica de la CE fue ampliada y fortalecida con la implementación de la Estrategia de Salud de la Familia en la atención básica de Porto Alegre en los últimos años.

Entretanto, a enfermeira pode ser uma facilitadora neste processo, auxiliando a mulher-nutriz com conhecimento científico, estabelecendo uma relação de ajuda e trocando experiências e vivências no contato com esta mulher. A visita domiciliar entendida como um espaço de ações educativas realizadas pela enfermeira do Banco de leite Humano do Hospital Universitário Antônio Pedro, da Universidade Federal Fluminense (BLH/HUAP/UFF), concretiza - se através da consulta de enfermagem na qual busca - se perceber, através do olhar, toque e audição, para então, orientar e retirar dúvidas acerca da amamentação; avaliar a mulher nutriz e seu bebê, e também coletar seu excesso de leite. Como este processo não se resume apenas na díade mãe - filho, os familiares devem ser estimulados a participar, compartilhando a experiência com a mulher. Assim, o presente estudo tem como objeto: Ações educativas desenvolvidas na consulta de enfermagem realizada na visita domiciliar pela enfermeira do BLH/HUAP, trazendo, como seus objetivos, desenvolver um instrumento padrão com conteúdo técnico - científico com estratégia para a consulta de enfermagem no domicílio da mulher, caracterizar a consulta de enfermagem na visita domiciliar, estabelecendo sua articulação com as ações educativas desenvolvidas pela enfermeira do BLH/HUAP e analisar a prática da consulta de enfermagem desenvolvida na visita domiciliar, considerando a ótica da mulher doadora para elaboração de um instrumento técnico-científico padrão. A metodologia utilizada foi a pesquisa descritiva do tipo estudo de caso, com abordagem qualitativa, que se caracteriza por ser uma investigação sobre um único evento ou situação, uma vez que busca descrever a situação no contexto da vida real em que o fenômeno está ocorrendo. O projeto foi aprovado pelo CEP/UFF, sob o protocolo N.295/11, com a numeração CAAE:0308.0.258.000.111, a fim de cumprir o que preceitua a Resolução n°196/96, respeitando a conduta ética para pesquisa. O estudo contribui para que a consulta de enfermagem através da visita domiciliar favoreça a melhoria da qualidade da assistência prestada à cliente, seu bebê e sua família, promovendo protegendo e apoiando o aleitamento materno, bem como a doação do excesso do seu leite de forma segura. Além disso, busca-se instituir uma prática que poderá ser reproduzida no se que refere à aplicação de método científico na assistência de enfermagem e o estabelecimento de procedimentos padronizados que possam ser facilitadores nesta prática. Thus, the present study has as its object: Educational action developed in consultation held in nursing home visits by nurse BLH / HUAP, bringing as its objectives: to develop an instrument with standard technical content with scientific strategy for nursing consultation in the home Woman characterize the nursing consultation in home visits, establishing their linkage with the educational activities developed by nurse BLH / HUAP and analyze the practice of nursing consultation in developed home visit, considering the perspective of the woman donor to developing a technical -scientific standard. The methodology used was the descriptive case study with a qualitative approach, which is characterized by an investigation into a single event or situation as it seeks to describe the situation in real-life context in which the phenomenon is occurring. The project was approved by CEP / UFF, under protocol N.295/11, numbered CAAE: 0308.0.258.000.111., In order to fulfill the precepts of Resolution No. 196/96, respecting ethical conduct for search. The study contributes to the nursing consultation through home visits to encourage improved quality of care provided to the client, your baby and your family, protecting promoting and supporting breastfeeding donating excess of their milk safely. Furthermore, we seek to establish a practice that can be reproduced as regards the application of the scientific method in nursing care and the establishment of standardized procedures that can be facilitators in this practice. The thesis is focused on mapping of selected on-line services in hospitals in Czech Re-public according to their availability. In the next step logistic regression model will be used, which will measure a range of particular on-line services according to their legal form, majority ownership, region in which health organization is located, to education achieved and gender of hospital director and lastly in accordance with the size of hospital from the viewpoint of bed capacity. This thesis will provide comprehensive overview of availability of on-line services in Czech hospitals and determine which factors significantly decreasing or increasing chance of their occurrence on hospital websites.

Effectiveness of Child-centered Play Therapy and Person-centered Teacher Consultation on ADHD Behavioral Problems of Elementary School Children: a Single Case Design.

I examined the effectiveness of child-centered play therapy (CCPT) and person-centered teacher consultation (PCTC) for elementary school children identified with clinical or borderline levels of ADHD behaviors on the Teacher Report Form and the Conners' Teacher Rating Scale Revised - Short Form. Additionally, I examined the impact of CCPT and PCTC on the levels of parenting and teaching stress. Due to the current trend to determine interventions that are evidence-based through between-group or single case designs, for this study, I utilized a single case design experiment for which the behaviors of five children were examined. Trained observers utilized the Direct Observation Form in observations of all five students three times per week. Additionally, parents and teachers completed behavioral rating scales and stress inventories at pre-, mid-, and post-intervention. To prevent biased observational ratings, observers were blind to the assignment of the five children. Three students participated in 24 sessions of twice-weekly 30-minute sessions of CCPT, and these students' teachers participated in six sessions of once-weekly 10-minute PCTC. Two students participated in twice-weekly 30-minute sessions of reading mentoring, after which they participated in 14 sessions of CCPT. Visual analysis of the data indicated mixed results. Three students demonstrated substantial improvement in the observed ADHD behaviors within the classroom. Results of the parent and teacher assessment data were inconsistent, but did indicate behavior change for some children and a reduction in teaching stress for one teacher. Parenting stress appeared unaffected. Implications for future research regarding the use of single case design, the measurement of student behavior change, and issues of comorbidity are indicated.

Through the concerted administrative activity the State establishes a permanent dialogue with society and the business activity in Brazil, providing a scenario guided by the search for consensual between the public and private sectors. Por meio da atividade administrativa concertada o Estado estabelece o diálogo permanente com a sociedade e a atividade empresarial no Brasil, propiciando um cenário pautado pela busca da consensualidade entre o público e o privado. Este processo sinérgico, dialógico decorre do Estado Democrático de Direito. Com isso, buscou-se uma melhor compreensão sobre a relação entre o modelo de Estado e a atividade empresarial em nosso país. Por meio da concepção contemporânea de Pacto Social, pretendeu-se reconhecer os instrumentos jurídicos que prestigiam o consenso, ou seja, a negociação/cooperação entre os setores público (quando da realização de controle e intervenção na ordem econômica) e privado (quando do desempenho de atividade econômica sócio responsável); e a boa governança para consecução de decisões políticas fundamentais legítimas. Föräldrainflytande är ett komplext begrepp och en viktig del i förskolans värdegrundsarbete och demokratiuppdrag. Det är föräldrarna som har det yttersta ansvaret för barnet samt känner sitt barn allra bäst. En god samverkan mellan föräldrar och förskolan som möjliggör föräldrainflytande är därför viktigt för att kunna skapa de bästa förutsättningarna för barnet. Syftet med den här studien är därför att undersöka föräldrars upplevelser av föräldrainflytande i förskolans verksamhet med specifikt fokus på vilan. För att få svar på studiens frågeställningar har enkäter samlats in från sex föräldrar med barn i ett till treårsåldern som går i förskolan. Begreppet inflytande problematiseras med hjälp av inflytandetrappan, vilken synliggör olika nivåer av inflytande som alla är viktiga för att kunna tala om ett reellt föräldrainflytande. Vid första anblick tyder resultatet på att föräldrarnas syn på sina möjligheter till inflytande är övervägande goda. Men vid en närmare granskning av föräldrarnas beskrivningar och exempel synliggörs att det finns begränsningar i föräldrainflytandet, vilket leder till att föräldrarna inte får, eller inte utnyttjar sina möjligheter till att utöva ett reellt föräldrainflytande. / Parental influence is a complex concept and an important part of the preschool's value-based work and democracy mission. It is the parents who have the ultimate responsibility for the child and know their child best. A good collaboration between parents and the preschool that enables parental influence is therefore important in order to be able to create the best conditions for the child. The purpose of this study is therefore to investigate parents' experiences of parental influence in the preschool's activities with a specific focus on the childs rest. To get answers to the study's questions, questionnaires were collected from six parents with children aged one to three years who go to preschool. The concept of influence is problematised with the help of the influence ladder, which makes different levels of influence visible, all of which are important in order to be able to talk about a real parental influence. At first glance, the results indicate that the parents' views on their opportunities for influence are predominantly good. However, a closer examination of the parents' descriptions and examples reveals that there are limitations in the parental influence, which leads to the parents not being able to, or not using, their opportunities to exercise a real parental influence.
