國民小學教師對學校圖書館的認知與使用情形之研究:以基隆市為例 / The Cognition and Use of Library Services by the Teachers of Elementary Schools in Keelung County

隨著知識經濟時代的來臨,運用資訊科技是現代人必備的基本能力。而學校圖書館因地利之便,是國小師生最容易接觸到的資訊來源之一。教師要培養學生利用圖書館的習慣與能力,則本身必須具備圖書館專業知能,並懂得善用圖書館的各項資源。 本研究以基隆市國民小學教師為對象,旨在調查教師對學校圖書館的認知與使用學校圖書的概況,並探討其差異情形。再綜合教師對學校圖書館的意見提出建議,供未來制定圖書館相關政策或研擬經營發展方向時的參考。本研究採用問卷調查法,研究結果摘要如下: 不同背景之教師對學校圖書館各面向的認知均有正面的評價。其中以「推展閱讀」面向的認知最為良好,其次依序為「與課程的關聯性」、「規劃設計」及「館藏、管理與服務」面向,而認同度最低的則為「支援教學」面向。 教師對學校圖書館的認知情形會隨著教師的目前職務、教育程度、年齡及性別等背景變項而有不同的差異情形。兼任行政教師最能認同「館藏、管理與服務」、「與課程的關連性」、「支援教學」與「推展閱讀」等面向的功能。一般大學畢業者對「規畫設計」面向的認同度最高;師範院系畢業者對「與課程的關聯性」面向的認知較為良好;年齡大的教師最能認同圖書館「推廣閱讀」的功能;男性教師則對「支援教學」面向感到較滿意。 教師在使用學校圖書館時,以支援教學為主要目的,但因教學上的需求使用圖書館的頻率與時間卻明顯偏低。教師最倚重網路資源以滿足資訊需求;在使用圖書館資料的情形方面則尚待加強;最需要圖書館提供教學新知資源;認為最需要改進的是館藏數量不足的問題。教師並不常參加圖書館利用專業知能的進修,但在圖書館利用能力上有很不錯的自我評價。 教師使用學校圖書館的情形會隨著教師的背景變項而有所差異。導師及兼任行政教師使用的情形較為類似。師範院校畢業、資深、年齡較長及女性教師,使用學校圖書館的情形則較為良好。 由研究結果歸納以下建議:地方政府及教育主管機關每年應提撥固定的經費;增設圖書館專職人員之編制;建立全市國民小學圖書館教學資源共享平台。學校方面應積極爭取經費;多元化增購館藏;整合學校圖書館為教學資源中心。教師方面,應把握專業進修的機會、將圖書館利用教育融入教學;善用學校圖書館資源,並適時主動提出建議,以落實學校圖書館支援教師教學之功能。 / For the coming alongside with the era of knowledge-based economy, it has become our fundamental capability that people today have to be able to make use of information technology. As of location convenience for school library, it has become one of the sources so that teachers and students elementary can access to information. In fact, if teachers must nurture students with habit and capability to exploit library, they must be able to be equipped with professional knowledge of library and are able to make use of various kinds of resources of library. This study has taken the teachers of elementary school teachers of Keelung City as its subjects, and aimed to investigate the cognition of teachers regarding school library as well as the scenario making use of school library. Besides, it would also explore the difference. This study will employ questionnaire survey, with its research results summarized found as follows: Teachers of diverse background are found with positive evaluation regarding each of the aspects for school library. Among them, the aspect of “promotion for reading” is considered to be of the best, seconded by aspects as “relevancy to curriculum,” “library collection, management, and service,” and “programming design,” whereas the aspect of “support to teaching” tails and is found with the lowest cognition. Teacher’s cognition of school library was different in accordance with the background variables such as current position, educational background, age and gender. Teachers with administrative position can recognize most school library’s functions in the aspects of “library collection, management, and service,” “relevancy to curriculum,” “support to teaching” and “promotion for reading”. Average college graduates gave highest approval to the aspect of “programming design,” while, teacher’s college graduates expressed more approval in the aspect of “relevancy to curriculum,”; older teachers approved most in the function of “promotion for reading”; male teachers were more satisfied with the aspect of “support to teaching”. The primary aim for teachers to use school library is supposedly to support their teaching demands; however, the results reflecting in frequency and time for this purpose were relatively low. As for teachers who rely on network resources to accommodate their information needs, it is found that the scenario making use of information with school library remains much to be improved. In fact, what teachers need most from school library is that it can provide resources of novel knowledge, while the problem of library collection is what teachers consider improvement must be made. Teachers do not often attend further training for professional competence of school library, but they do have rather favorable self-evaluation regarding the utility of library manpower. Teachers’ use of school library was found to vary in accordance with the variables of their background. Homeroom teachers and teachers with administration position seemed more identical in their use of school library. Teacher’s college graduates, senior teachers and older teachers as well as female teachers would show a better use of school library. As learned and concluded from study results, it is thus suggested: local government and competent authority of education should appropriate fixed amount of expenditure annually, increase the formation of specialized personnel for school library, and establish collective platform for teaching resources among school library of elementary schools for the entire city. On the part of schools, they should actively strive for more funding, increase library collections with diversified channels, and integrate school library as the center of teaching resources. On the part of teachers, they should take hold of chance for professional study and training, combine school library into their teaching, make good use of resources from school library, and appropriately put forth proposal, thus helping to realize the function of having school library in support teaching for teachers.

台北巿高中圖書館轉型為「教學資源中心」之研究 / A Study on Taipei Senior High Schools Library Transformation into the Instructional Resources Center

本研究旨在探討台北巿高中圖書館的組織編制、困境,並了解圖書館負責人對轉型為「教學資源中心」的看法,以期提出國內學校圖書館轉型為「教學資源中心」的建議方案及事項。 為達研究目的,首先蒐集國內外文獻,分析學校圖書館與「教學資源中心」的相關資料;其次藉由個案研究國內具有正式「教學資源中心」組織的明道高中,以了解其組織結構及經營模式;最後,全面性調查台北巿公私立45所高中圖書館的組織與困境、視聽資源及電腦主管單位的組織編制、以及台北巿高中圖書館負責人對轉型為「教學資源中心」的看法。 研究結果發現,台北巿高中圖書館有十大困境:1.私立學校圖書館組織比公立學校圖書館來得不健全。2.公私立高中圖書館多仍未能分組辦事。3.圖書館負責人乃由教師或幹事兼任,多須兼任課堂教學工作。4.圖書館專業人員不足。5.工作人員數量太少及職位太低。6.設置工讀生的學校未達半數,且工讀生人數少。7.圖書館委員會對圖書館的助益有限。8.圖書館所提供的視聽資源的種類不夠多,未能具備提供教學媒體製作的服務。9.圖書館雖多已自動化,但採購、期刊、參考諮詢三方面卻多數尚未自動化。10.圖書館半數以上沒有光碟資料庫,且只能在圖書館或館內使用光碟資料庫。 本研究提出高中圖書館轉型為「教學資源中心」的建議方案為:以圖書館為主導,整合校內包含所有軟體的視聽及電腦資源於同一個「圖書館教學資源中心」單位之中,設置圖書館教學資源中心主任,編列正式的圖書館專業人員、媒體專業人員、電腦資訊人員,其下的分組則至少包括基本的圖書館、視聽教育、電腦資訊三方面相關的組別。最後,提出的五大層面的建議事項:(一)制度層面:1.修改相關法令,提昇圖書館的地位及健全組織;2.轉型的名稱以「圖書館教學資源中心」為佳。(二)功能層面:1.落實傳統圖書館的功能;2.發揮「教學資源中心」的功能。(三)人員層面:1.增加圖書館人員編制及提昇專業素質;2.增列圖書館的媒體人員、資訊人員;3.結合與善用校內教師與學生的人力。(四)資源層面:1.充實圖書館館藏、媒體、資訊等設備;2.加強資訊軟硬環境。(五)教育層面:1.推廣圖書館利用教育,加強師生對圖書館的認識與使用;2.適應國家整體高中教育政策,配合多元入學方案。

提升公共圖書館服務品質之研究 -以新竹縣政府文化局圖書館為例 / A Research of improving the effectiveness for Public Libraries :A Case Study of Hsinchu County Library

本研究透過文獻探討對服務品質理論及LibQUAL+™量表進行瞭解,進而對於國內外探討圖書館服務品質之作法加以探討,並選擇新竹縣立圖書館為個案研究對象,對新竹縣立圖書館入館讀者採隨機抽樣調查,就研究結果提出關於服務品質之相關分析與建議,作為新竹縣立圖書館未來營運管理及讀者服務之參考,期使藉由本研究讓圖書館能更正確瞭解讀者需求及圖書館現況問題並能有效調整資源分配,提升圖書館服務品質,提供民眾更優質的公共圖書館。    本研究採用問卷調查法,以圖書館服務品質LibQUAL+™量表為基礎,於106年3月期間對新竹縣立圖書館入館民眾進行隨機抽樣調查。研究結果顯示:(一)新竹縣立圖書館讀者類型中以自修族群為最多(二)以讀者使用資源頻率來看,低涉入讀者為最多(三)讀者不同背景對於使用圖書館館藏資訊系統上有差異性(四)讀者最重視圖書館環境構面的服務品質(五)圖書館服務品質中表現最佳是服務影響性構面(六)以四象限分析法探討服務品質要項,讀者最在意的為環境 (七)讀者服務涉入程度與服務品質三構面上有重要關聯性(八)讀者對圖書館服務成果認同度排名第一為整體閱讀環境(九)不同學歷背景讀者對服務成果認同度有顯著差異(十) 56歲以上年長族群相對較少(十一)服務成果與服務品質三構面有高度正相關(十二)讀者的意見回饋中,以「圖書館環境」為讀者最重視因素(十三)圖書館可依服務藍圖檢視服務品質改善方法。 根據上述研究結果,本論文提出七項建議:(一)改善閱讀空間品質,滅少干擾元素(二)加強閱讀活動辦理,鼓勵讀者參與(三)強化資訊提供功能,改善數位資源及設備(四)成立館藏發展小組,加強編目專業訓練(五)深入瞭解讀者需求,提升服務品質(六)保持優質服務態度,暢通讀者意見回饋管道(七)加強分齡分眾概念之服務。 / The key goal of this research is to discuss the improving of service quality of some university libraries through applying LibQUAL+™ as a qualitative method and theory. We apply this to evaluate the library service quality of the Hsinchu county library through random sampling on the library readers. From the result of the research, we can get some conclusion and advices for the library to take it as as the reference. We expect that the library can realize the demand of readers more and find the bottleneck of it's operation so that they can rearrange the allocation of the resources to improve the service quality from the reader's perception. We complete the research with the questionnaire method through applying LibQUAL+™. The investigation was carried out by random sampling the readers of the Hsinchu county library during the opening hours in March in 2017. The research result shows that: (1) The major part of the readers are those for self-studying. (2) From the view of souring frequency of library resources, most readers are "low involvement". (3) the sourcing of Library Information Processing System differ from the background of the readers. (4) What the readers care most are the enviromental factors of service quality. (5) The service factors get highest score. (6) from the Four quadrant analysis, what the readers care most are the enviroment. (7) The involvement of the readers is high related to the three factors of service quality. (8) What the readers recognize most considering the service result is the reading enviromment. (9) The recognition degree of the service result differ from the educational background of the readers. (10) The recognition degree of the service result differ from the "service involvement" of the readers. (11) The service result is highly related to the three factors of service quality. (12) The library can get the way to improve the service quality through th service blueprint. According the research above, this thesis propose 7 suggestion: (1) To improving the Reading space to minimize interference. (2) To hold more reading activities and encourage more readers to participate in. (3) To enhance the information support and improve the information indicaiton. (4) To establish the Library Collections Development Panel and enhancing the training of cataloging. (5) To enhance the electrical resource to improve the information equipment. (6) To understand the demand of readers more to improve the service quality. (7) To provide service with good attitude and keep the communication chanels smooth.

國民中學圖書館與公共圖書館社區資源共享研究:以基隆市為例 / National Middle School Library and Public Library Community Resource Sharing : Keelung City as Example

國民閱讀力是一個國家很重要的競爭力,國民閱讀力也是一個國家最有效益的投資項目。網際網路的發達促使地球村的生活圈更為緊密,因此群體生活中的個體都要有解決問題的能力,但面對多元及瞬息萬變的資訊快速變化世代,要擁有帶得走的閱讀能力才是讓未來學子應付社會變化的基本能力。 國中生介於兒童與成人磨合期,生理上的改變也影響到心理及對知識的需求。面對十二年國教來臨,師生的互動模式也有了改變,因此教學現場的老師教、學生學單行道方式默默地修正了,而要滿足教學現場的變化就要讓國中生有更完整的資訊素養。 資訊素養的養成需要完善的配套措施做配合,硬體上可由公共圖書館與國民中學圖書館提供圖書資訊的服務;軟體上,課程教學的設計規劃及圖書資訊利用教育的教導,都是讓國中生擁有資訊素養很重要的基礎架構。國民中學圖書館主要是服務全校師生,在經費和資源上確實受限於政府資源及圖書資訊專業能力,公共圖書館主要的服務對象是全體民眾,在經費和圖書資訊專業能力相較更為充裕,配合資訊素養的螺旋性課程規劃,若能讓國民中學圖書館與公共圖書館社區資源共享,相信可以營造書香的社會及培育國中擁有帶得走的終身學習能力。 本研究探討國外的南韓、新加坡、香港三個國家,國內的台北市、新北市、高雄市三個公共圖書館,就國民中學圖書館與公共圖書館社區資源共享的狀況,透過國內外的文獻探討與基隆市的現況做對照討論,讓未來社區資源共享的規畫更為妥善。 基隆市有台灣首座的私立公共圖書館,基隆地理位置有其歷史性,但氣候潮濕多雨影響了國中生戶外活動的機會,而行政轄區位於大台北生活區的邊緣地帶,因此如何增加學生休閒活動的場所,滿足學生在資源貧乏下的閱讀需求,國民中學圖書館與公共圖書館就得承擔起責任。 研究結果發現: (1)基隆市國民中學圖書館與公共圖書館社區資源共享有40%。 (2)社區資源共享的類型主要為「與作家有約」。 (3)國民中學圖書館與公共圖書館社區資源共享的動機及需求很強烈。 最後,本研究亦提出針對國民中學圖書館與公共圖書館社區資源共享後續研究可以討論的方向與目標。 / National reading ability is a very important competitiveness of a country, and it is also a most effective investment for a country. Internet promotes global village living area more closely, so the individual should have the ability to solve problems. In order to face the diversity and rapid changes in information generation, it is nessary to have the ability of reading comprehension. Middle school students are at the run-in period between children and adults period, changes of the physical edffect psychological needs and knowledge needs. With the coming of 12-year compulsory education policy, the teacher-student interaction mode has also been changed. One way mode that teachers teach and students learn amended, and it’s necessary to cultivate the information literacy of middle school students. To improve students’ information literacy do need the coordination and cooperation between the public libraries and the national middle school libraries. Both of the libraries can provide library and information services to the students on hardware part, and provide curriculum and teaching design or library instruction on software part. And both parts are the basis of information literacy. National middle school libraries service mainly on teachers and students, so the government funding and resources are indeed limited. The main target of public libraries is the entire population, and compared to school libraries, government funding and professional capacity are abundant. If middle school libraries and public libraries can share the resources with each other, and also implement the information literacy curriculum with spiral planning at the same time, the scholarly community can be created and middle school students can be cultivated with reading comprehension ability. This study investigate the resources sharing between national middle school libraries and public libraries of overseas areas, South Korea, Singapore and Hong Kong and also three domestic areas including Taipei, New Taipei and Kaohsiung. Through the literature review of resource sharing between libraries, and compared it with the situation of keelung, a better future plan can be make. Although there is a Taiwan's first private public library in Keelung and it has historic location, the humid and rainy weather and the frontier location of Taipei City affecte the middle school students’ opportunities of outdoor activities. Therefore, national middle school libraries and public libraries have the responsibility to increase students' leisure activities places and meet the students need of reading. The results found that: (1) 40% national middle school libraries and the public libraries share community resources. (2) the main types of shared community resource is the speech of "about the writer." (3) the motivation and demand of community resources sharing between national middle school libraries and public libraries are very strong. At the end of this study, issues of the community resources sharing between national middle school libraries for follow-up study are suggested.

上班族的生活型態與圖書購買行為之研究-以台北市區上班族為例

(一)研究目的:近年來,國內國民所得提高,已達7,500美元,生活素質及文化水準 亦相對提昇,消費大眾對知識追求比以往迫切,然而國人平均每年購買書報雜志的費 用僅佔全部收入的3.5%, 此比率與臨近日本比較差距甚大,此顯示未來圖書市場潛 能頗大,本研究乃從上班族消費者購書行為著手,探討不同消費群在利益變項、生活 型態、購書類別、產品屬性、情報來源、購書地點及人口統計變數等變數上有何差異 並進而找出具有潛力之區隔市場及擬訂行銷策略。 (二)文獻探討:1.生活型態理論:此觀念源於心理學及社會學,1963年由William L- azer引入行銷領域。以AIO(活動、興趣、意見 )變數來衡量生活型態。2.市場區隔理 論:Wendell Smith 於1956年首先提出市場區隔的觀念,並應用於行銷領域。區隔模 式採事前區隔及事後區隔法。3.意見領袖:探討意見領袖在產品訊息傳達至有關市場 時扮演何種角色,其定義如何? 有那些行為特徵。 (三)研究方法:1.使用問卷調查法研究,研究母體為台北市區上班族,抽樣設計採便 利抽樣方式。2.問卷內容包含:消費者有無購買書籍,沒有購買書籍原因,全年購書 量及金額,對各類書籍喜歡的程度,書籍屬性,追求的利益,情報來源,購書地點, 意見領袖,生活型態量表及人品統計變數量表。3.分析方法:交叉分類法、因素分析 、T– 檢定、X 檢定、ANOVA 及集群分析等。 (四)研究內容及結果:研究不同性別之購買者、男女購買者與非購買者、男女經常購 買者與非經常購買者、男女意見領袖與非意見領袖及不同利益區隔群體在人口統計變 數、生活型態、書籍類別、產品屬性、情報來源、購書地點等孌數上的差異,進而找 出具有潛力之區隔市場及擬訂行銷策略。

圖書出版業通路勁能滿意水準之研究

感於國內圖書出版業蓬勃發展,在大型書店,如時報廣場等的推動上,國內興起一片 讀書風氣。只可惜囿於國內市場地域較小,市場分配不均,未能有大型中間商出現, 居間做資調配的工作,致使書本單價過高,佈點不完全,實為國人之憾。 故本文以出版社為調查對象,調查其與書報商間的各項往來,並詢問其滿意程度,出 版社最重視的功能項目為何。 本論文以台北市出版社為抽樣對象,以問卷調查的方式隨機抽樣400 家,回函經過統 計分析後,發現出版社所重視者為書報主的實體分配功能,其他諸如風險承擔等則未 受重視。 本研究可為圖書出版界各業者參考,藉以明白彼此間所期待的功能,祈能令其更密切 的合作。

台灣高科技產業圖書館員參與知識管理團隊之研究

高科技產業在台灣已成為產業發展之主軸,而知識經濟更是目前各先進國家積極推動與發展之經濟。隨著知識經濟時代的來臨,知識成為企業組織提昇競爭力的關鍵資源,知識管理因而成為二十一世紀企業經營的重要潮流,也為在企業服務的圖書資訊專業館員帶來了許多機會與挑戰。圖書資訊學界向來以知識的管理者自許,在這波知識管理的熱潮中,專業館員應思調整心態,積極充實、培養參與知識管理所需之相關技能,以因應這個新經濟時代的來臨。 本研究旨在瞭解國內高科技產業知識管理團隊成員的需求、圖書資訊專業館員在參與企業知識管理團隊之情形、探討館員在企業知識管理團隊中扮演的角色,以及所需具備或加強之相關技能,做為日後參與高科技產業公司組織知識管理團隊之準備,並提供國內圖書資訊學教育界參考,以規劃相關課程訓練,培訓更多優秀的知識管理人才,使其在未來能協助企業界與其他機構進行知識管理,進而提昇台灣產業的競爭力。 本研究採用質化的深度訪談法,並輔以問卷調查法兩種方式進行研究調查。主要針對國內高科技產業知識管理團隊負責人及相關人員、高科技產業中已參與和即將參與知識管理團隊之館員、管理顧問公司經理人、以及知識管理軟體公司人員進行深度訪談,以瞭解高科技產業對於知識管理人才之需求,及館員在知識管理團隊中扮演的角色與貢獻,並輔以問卷調查之量化統計來歸納整理出高科技產業館員參與知識管理團隊所須具備之相關技能。 由上述研究結果發現:一、高科技產業理想的知識管理團隊成員為一跨領域的工作團隊;二、館員在企業知識管理團隊中雖非主導者,卻是不可或缺的成員;三、影響高科技產業圖書館員參與知識管理之關鍵因素為:(1)館員在企業組織的層級;(2)知識管理主導者對圖書資訊專業的瞭解程度;(3)館員的商業價值認知程度;(4)館員對領域知識內容的瞭解程度;(5)館員的人格特質及態度;四、館員在知識管理中扮演的角色及貢獻除知識分類外,尚可擔任其他新興角色;五、高科技產業圖書館員參與知識管理團隊所需之相關技能構面,以思考與態度技能為首、其次依序為圖書資訊管理技能、人際溝通技能、策略與商業技能、管理技能、企業相關法律/專利技能,以及資訊技術技能。 最後建議:一、高科技產業應延攬資訊內容領域人才加入知識管理團隊;二、館員應提昇相關技能,並積極爭取參與企業知識管理之機會;三、高科技產業應整合資料中心與其他相關單位為知識管理中心;四、圖書資訊學界應規劃切合業界需求之知識管理課程。 / Knowledge economy is the trend of most developed countries. With the coming of knowledge economy, the Knowledge Management (KM) becomes the key factor to improve the competitiveness of industry, especially for high-tech industry in Taiwan. Due to this, the KM brings a lot of challenges and opportunities to those professional corporate librarians who work in high- tech industry. To meet the challenge of KM, the competency owned by corporate librarian is very important. The purpose of this thesis is to investigate the qualifications of KM team members, the participation and role-play of professional corporate librarians within KM team, and the necessary competency of corporate librarians. The result of this study can be the reference framework for the high-tech companies preparing for the organization of KM. In addition, it could also give suggestions for curriculum development for the schools of Library and Information Science. This thesis employed a depth interview approach associated with questionnaire investigation. The people interviewed include all ranks of KM team, including the KM team leader or related role, corporate librarian, management consult companies, and KM software companies. They were requested to fill out the questionnaire forms about the competencies for KM as well. According to these questionnaire forms, the quantity measurement can give an indication of the importance of the competencies for corporate librarian participating in KM team. The findings of this thesis are the followings: (1) The ideal KM team of high-tech companies should be a multi-area combination; (2) The recruitment of corporate librarian in KM team can be beneficial; (3) The key factors influencing the participation of corporate librarian in high-tech KM team are (i) the hierarchical level in the organization, (ii) the sympathy of KM leader in library and information science, (iii) business sense of corporate librarian, (iv) the comprehension of corporate librarian in domain knowledge, (v) the personality and attitude of corporate librarian; (4) Corporate librarian can play the roles not only in knowledge classification, but also in other domains; (5) The most important competency of corporate librarian in high-tech industry KM team are thinking and attitude skills, follows by library and information science skill, communication skill, strategy and business skills, management skill, business law/patent skills, and information technology skill. The Suggestions include: (1) High-tech companies should recruit information content domain experts in KM team. (2) Corporate librarian should build up more critical competencies in order to get into the kernel of KM. (3) High-tech companies are encouraged to integrate corporate library with the other departments to establish a KM center. 國立成功大學圖書館建築用後評估之研究 / Post Occupancy Evaluation of National Cheng Kung University Library

近年來,國內有不少公私立大專校院相繼進行圖書館的新建或改建工程,反應出學校對於圖書資訊資源的重視性。大學圖書館於規劃時應注意空間的配置,如各區域的設計;注意空間中物理因素的規劃,如燈光、聲音、溫濕度、地點的選擇與其他考量因素,且大學圖書館的空間規劃應視每一所大學的教育目標、藏書量或座位數,再作彈性的調整。為了讓大學圖書館發揮更完善的功能,更符合使用者需求,必須以用後評估(Post Occupancy Evaluation)的觀點探討大學圖書館建築設計與規劃之實行成效,並檢視大學圖書館建築與使用者需求間的落差,如能結合圖書館使用者行為之調查結果,將可以幫助圖書館及建築師,日後在規劃設計做出最佳之判斷。 本研究旨在瞭解成功大學圖書館近年來努力的成果,可藉由用後評估來探討成功大學圖書館的建築空間與設施使用成效的各種因素,並發現問題、提出建議,以供現在及未來圖書館的管理者在建築規劃與設計工作的參考,作為未來設計者與研究者在規劃大學圖書館建築與設計之參考。 本研究首先透過文獻分析法,探討目前國內外圖書館建築及用後評估相關理論,並輔以個案探討。透過問卷調查法,探討目前成功大學圖書館的空間使用情況與滿意度。接著進行深度訪談法,以進一步瞭解成功大學圖書館,並探討相關人員對用後評估結果的看法及建議。最後結合文獻分析與上述研究發現進行分析與歸納,提出成功大學圖書館實施用後評估之具體建議。 研究發現:一、成功大學圖書館規劃乃依人文、科學及藝術不同空間需求設計;二、成功大學圖書館特色為模矩式設計、動線規劃清楚、多元化閱覽空間及設置電動密集書架;三、成功大學圖書館歷經長久研究、多方參與及審慎整合而成;四、藝文空間滿意度最高;五、服務空間滿意度最低;六、公共空間完整體現成功大學圖書館建築規劃設計理念;七、討論空間有效整合教學與研究需求;八、物理環境及設備尚待加強;九、具傳統與現代之美的圖書館建築;十、成功大學精神與象徵意義之建築。 最後,提出下列建議:一、建築規劃書是圖書館加強監督設計、管理和發展的資料;二、圖書館建築規劃設計應循專業與合理原則並告知限制條件;三、成立建築規劃小組與諮詢顧問;四、圖書館建築需配合校園整體發展;五、審慎評估物理環境;六、建立指標系統識別空間;七、空間規劃及管理應具有彈性;八、定期進行用後評估工作。 / In the past years, there have been a number of new college library buildings or reconstructing current libraries. This reflect the emphasis of these schools on the library and information resources. When mapping out college libraries, space allocation such as design of each area has to be focused on. One also has to pay attention to planning of physical elements in space such as lighting, sounds, temperature, moisture, selection of locations and others. Moreover, space planning has to be adjusted in accordance with education goals, size of collection and seats of each college. To fully develop the functions of college libraries to meet users’ needs, we need to adopt post occupancy evaluation to discuss the architecture design and practice performances of college libraries as well as reviewing the gap between college library construction and users’ needs. The combination of survey on library users’ behaviors will assist libraries and architects in making the best judgment in planning. The study aims to understand the results of the efforts of National Cheng Kung University Library in the past years. Post Occupancy Evaluation is adopted to discuss the elements such as architecture space and facilities performances of National Cheng Kung University Library, give questions and offer suggestions to serve as reference for library manager in construction planning and researchers when planning and designing college libraries. Literature is reviewed used with case study to discuss theories on architecture and post occupancy of domestic and foreign libraries. With questionnaire survey, space occupancy satisfaction is explored. In-depth interview serves to further understand National Cheng Kung University Library and explore comments and suggestions of related personnel after occupancy. At last, analysis and generalization is made to offer concrete suggestions to National Cheng Kung University Library on post occupancy evaluation. Based on the research findings, the conclusions include planning of National Cheng Kung University Library is based on the different needs of humanist, scientist and artists; 2) characteristics of National Cheng Kung University Library are matrix design, clear route arrangements, diverse reading space and establishment of compact bookshelves; 3) National Cheng Kung University Library is considered under long study, full participation and careful integration; 4) the art space enjoys the highest satisfaction; 5) the service space experiences the lowest satisfaction; 6) the public space completely expresses the design concept of National Cheng Kung University Library; 7) the discussion space effectively integrates the needs of education and research; 8) physical environment and facilities require improvement; 9) National Cheng Kung University Library has the building of beauty of modernity and tradition; and 10) the building expresses the spiritual and symbolic meanings of National Cheng Kung University. Based on the above results, we offer the suggestions: 1) Construction Planning is the material for the Library to enhance supervision on design, management and development; 2) Planning and design of the Library shall be made in the principle of professionalism and rationality with information of limitation conditions; 3) Construction Planning and Consultation Team shall be established; 4) Construction of the Library shall be in line with overall campus development; 5) Physical environment has to be cautiously evaluated; 6) Indicator system identification space has to be established; 7) Space planning and management shall be flexible and 8) Post occupancy evaluation has to be conducted periodically.

臺北市立圖書館成人英語讀書會之研究 / A Study on the Adult English Study Circles in Taipei Public Library

閱讀是通往知識殿堂的道路,是學習的基石,藉由閱讀,能夠擴展眼界,活躍思考。世界各地正如火如荼推廣閱讀,公共圖書館在推廣閱讀上更是不遺餘力,藉由舉辦不同的活動鼓勵民眾培養閱讀習慣,讓民眾親近文字,享受閱讀的樂趣。近年來,為了提升民眾英語閱讀的興趣,增加英語討論的機會,公共圖書館陸續舉辦不少英語讀書會,讓參與者能夠以英語資源為媒介,討論與分享不同的看法。 本研究透過問卷調查法與訪談法了解臺北市立圖書館成人英語讀書會實施現況,並歸納讀書會成員、帶領人以及圖書館讀書會業務負責館員之看法,發現成人英語讀書會之運作特色與遭遇困境,進而分析成人英語讀書會之成效。最後歸納相關文獻與研究結果,提出辦理英語讀書會之具體建議,期望作為日後公共圖書館辦理英語讀書會之參考。 調查結果顯示,成人英語讀書會成員以50歲~59歲的女性參與者為主,職業以家庭主婦居多,但與演講協會合作之讀書會較為特殊,無家庭主婦參與,而以上班族為多。教育程度上,以大專院校畢業者佔多數,而擁有研究所以上學歷者為讀書會的第二大族群。成員參與讀書會的動機為:增加英語表達能力、增廣見聞、拓展閱讀範圍,與喜愛閱讀等。 臺北市立圖書館成人英語讀書會運作特色有:一、學習方式生活化,讓英語更貼近生活;二、報章雜誌、短篇文章為主要的閱讀材料;三、研討的主題呈現多元的風貌,從休閒娛樂、文學、科技、時事新聞、醫療保健、教育、語言學習,到全球性議題;四、以英語歌曲為主之研討深受歡迎,使得原本以閱讀書籍、文章為主軸的討論型態逐漸轉變;五、圖書館英語志工加入英語讀書會,以其專業來協助讀書會之運作。 臺北市立圖書館支援成人英語讀書會的角色可分為主辦與間接推廣,前者是由圖書館自辦英語讀書會,後者是圖書館提供英語讀書會硬體空間與設備之援助。整體來看,圖書館對成人英語讀書會之支援包括:定期辦理帶領人培訓課程;透過網站或電子報、文宣刊物、出版品、海報來行銷成人英語讀書會;於館內展示讀書會成員作品;建置線上「心得分享區」與「線上讀書會」供讀書會成員討論;此外,亦提供「鼓勵讀書會購書優惠」方案,讀書會成員依此管道購買書籍可享有折扣的優惠。 在使用圖書館英語資源與服務方面,未參與成人英語讀書會前,約半數成員未曾使用圖書館英語資源與服務,他們找尋資料的管道主要為網路與自己的藏書。參與英語讀書會後,將近七成的讀書會成員因為讀書會的緣故而更常接觸圖書館,進而利用圖書館英語館藏與服務,資源使用上,則以英語圖書、英語報章雜誌與英語參考工具書被使用的情況較多。同時,有將近八成的讀書會成員平均每個月增加1~3冊館藏借閱量。 參與成員肯定英語讀書會對己身的幫助,例如能夠吸收最新的資訊與專業知識,也能增進國際視野,且經由成員的意見交流與分享,了解每個人不同的思考點,無形中擴展了個人的思考面向。成員英語能力也因為參與英語讀書會而有所提升,尤其是英語會話與聽力。除此之外,自信與勇氣的增加與人際關係的拓展也是成員認為參與讀書會的收穫。成員對成人英語讀書會在各方面之滿意度均呈現不錯的表現,以「讀書會的團體氣氛」與「帶領人的領導」滿意度最高。 研究發現,臺北市立圖書館成人英語讀書會遭遇之困難包括:一、圖書館英語資源無法滿足成人英語讀書會之需求;二、雖然有英語志工的加入,但英語讀書會帶領人才仍非常欠缺;三、成員聚會前的準備與積極性仍需加強。 最後,針對成人英語讀書會之舉辦提出幾點建議供相關單位參考。從圖書館的角度來看,普及舉辦英語讀書會、辦理英語讀書會帶領人培訓課程、充實英語館藏、英語館藏數位化、加強行銷圖書館英語資源與服務、安排英語專題演講、發行英語讀書會刊物、建置線上英語讀書會網站、持續評估成人英語讀書會辦理情形等,都是未來辦理成人英語讀書會可努力之方向。英語讀書會參與成員則可朝向:共同擬定讀書會內部規範、加強積極參與活動、適時提出回饋與建議等方向努力之。 / Reading is the way to knowledge and also the foundation of learning. We can broaden our horizons and activate the thinking through reading. Reading promotion is held worldwide; the public libraries go to great lengths to promote reading especially. Different reading activities are held to encourage the public to develop reading habits and enjoy the reading. In order to elevate the public’s English reading habits and increase the discussion opportunities, public libraries have held lots of English study circles in recent years. The group participants can discuss and share different opinions through English materials. This study adopts questionnaire and interview approach to investigate the status quo of adult English study circles in Taipei public library. Through the ideas and opinions from the group members, leaders and librarians in charge of the study circles, the study will discover the operation characteristics and difficulties English study circles encountered. Further, analyzing the effectiveness of adult English study circles. Finally, the study will provide some suggestions for holding adult English study circles after concluding literatures and study results. According to the study results, female members aged from 50 to 59 years are the primary participants in adult English study circles.The most participants are housewives. However, the members’ main career in the study circles which the library cooperates with Toastmasters International is office worker. As concerned about education background, most members have college degrees. Members have master degrees are the second largest group in adult English study circles. Besides loving reading, members’ participation motives are to increase English expressing ability, to broaden their horizons, to extend the lust of reading, etc. The operation characteristics of adult English study circles in Taipei public library are described as follows: (1)Members can use English in their daily life. (2)English books are not the main reading materials. Instead, many groups use journals.(3)The topics of discussion are divergent, including entertainment, literature, science and technology, current events, medical and health care, education, language learning, and global issues.(4)English song–centered discussion is popular. The discussion pattern has been changing gradually from discussing books and short articles to song-centered symposium. (5)Library English volunteers are engaged in English study circles and use their professional specialty to assist the group operation. The roles of Taipei public library on holding adult English study circles can be divided into auspices and indirect outreach. In the former case, the library hosts the English study circles. In the latter case, the library offers English study circles the place and facilities. On the whole, the library’ supplies include (1)holding regular leader training curricula, (2)propagandizing English study circles through websites, e-paper, publications, and posters, (3)displaying the members’ works in the library, (4)building websites “online reflection sharing” and “online study circles,” and (5)providing purchasing proposal for study circles. As far as library English resources and services concerned, about one half group members never use library English resources and services before participating in the English study circles. They surf the net and use their own collections to find the materials. After participating English study circles, about 70 percent group members go to library more often and they also use English collections and services in the library. English books, newspapers, magazines and reference books are more often used. Besides, nearly 80 percent group members increase documents on loan per capita on the average of 1 to 3 volumes per month. Group members affirm the benefits of taking part in English study circles. For example, they can get latest information, learn professional knowledge, and broaden their visions. Through sharing the opinions, they can learn different thinking from others. After participating in the English study circles, members’ English ability have improved, especially conversation and listening. In addition, self-confidence, courage, and interpersonal relationships are also the benefits. Group members think the performances of English study circles are good in all respects. Among all the performances, members are most satisfied with group atmosphere and leader’s guidance. The study shows the difficulties that adult English study circles have encountered. They include (1) library English collections can’t satisfy group leaders, (2) English group leaders are still going short, and (3) members should have more preparation and initiative. Finally, the study brings up some suggestions about holding adult English study circles. From the library’s perspective, holding more English study circles, running study circle leaders training curricula, increasing English collections, digitalizing English collections, advertising English collections and services, publishing English publications, building online English study circles websites, and keeping on evaluating adult English study circles are some ways libraries can work in the future. With regard to the members, they can draw up the group interior rules, participating in activities more actively, and raise questions or make suggestions at anytime.

從圖書館價值探討我國圖書館員基本專業能力

數位時代網際網路盛行,受到民眾喜愛但也改變了對圖書館的使用習慣,OCLC 在2005年《圖書館與資訊資源看法》(Perceptions of Libraries and Information Resources)的報告中,調查讀者的資訊尋求行為和習慣,發現讀者使用網路搜尋引擎的頻率和滿意度等各方面評價遠高於圖書館資源。此調查結果帶給圖書館事業一大衝擊,反思是否讀者並不瞭解圖書館的價值?圖書館能提供什麼資源與服務?以及圖書館員的能力可提供什麼協助? 因此本研究旨在從圖書館的核心價值探討圖書館存在目的、功能和服務目標,從價值延伸出圖書館員的職責和角色,為以背負及擔任這些的任務和角色,進一步探討圖書館員需要哪些專業能力範圍與指標。本論文主要參考美國圖書館學會2004年擬定圖書館的11項核心價值,以及2008年擬定的《圖書館事業核心能力》作為焦點團體訪談議題的參考,經過三場焦點團體訪談後,擬定《我國圖書館價值和館員基本專業能力清單草案》,然後將此草案藉由問卷調查進行項目確認。 本論文研究結果產出我國圖書館價值共12項、圖書館員角色11項、圖書館員基本專業能力共8大範圍55項指標、數位時代圖書館新業務功能14項。研究建議包括提供中華民國圖書館學會作為圖書館價值與館員專業能力宣示文件之參考、提供國內圖書資訊學系所訂定學生專業能力之參考、提供圖書館任用新進館員與評鑑現有館員標準參考、對中華民國圖書館學會館員教育訓練之建議、提供我國圖書資訊學教育規劃之參考、提供我國圖書館人力資源規劃的指南、提供我國圖書館員繼續教育課程規劃之參考。 / Internet became more and more popular in the digital age, but it also changed the habits of library use by people. In 2005, there was a report from OCLC, “Perceptions of Libraries and Information Resources”, which investigated users’ information-seeking behavior and habits ,and found that the frequency and satisfaction in using the Internet search engine by users was much higher than library resources. The result of this investigation made a great impact on the librarianship to reflect that maybe users don’t really understand the values of libraries, and what resources and services can libraries provide, and the competencies of librarians can offer any assistance? This study aims to explore the core values, purpose, functions and objectives of libraries, and then extends to research the roles and the core competencies of librarians. This study used two research methods ,which were focus groups and questionnaire survey. There were two main references to focus group, the first one was “Core Values of Librarianship” from ALA in 2004, and the second one was “Core Competencies of Librarianship ” from ALA in 2008. After three interviews with focus groups, drew up “Draft Statement of Library Values and Core Competencies in Taiwan”. And then the draft was confirmed by questionnaire survey. The research findings are as follows:(1)summed up twelve library values; (2) summed up eleven roles of librarians; (3)summed up a list of core competencies of librarians in Taiwan including eight categories and fifty-five indicators; (4) summed up fourteen new functions of libraries in digital ages. Based on the final results of this research, several suggestions are as follows: (1)to provide a reference document as “The Declaration of Library Values and Core Competencies of Librarians” for Library Association of the Republic of China(Taiwan); (2)to provide a reference document for the college department of Library and Information Science to draw up core competencies of students;(3) to provide a reference standard for libraries to evaluate new librarians and existing librarians;(4) to provide some suggestions of education and training courses for Library Association of the Republic of China(Taiwan);(5)to provide a reference plan of education and training for the college department of Library and Information Science;(6)to provide indicators to human resources plan for libraries;(7)to provide reference plans of continuing education courses for librarians.
