Previous issue date: 2016-09-05 / Coordena??o de Aperfei?oamento de Pessoal de N?vel Superior - CAPES / The following dissertation addresses the subordinate sectors? creative resistance in socioenvironmental
and political interactions in Milho Verde, a district in the city of Serro, Alto
Jequitinhonha-MG. We analyse how the local subalternia with their knowledge and
environmental practices, have interacted with the touristic activity and environmental politics,
external forces that have been expressed in the internal dynamic of this community. Our
results point out that, in the twenty-first century, the convergences of tourism with
environmental politics provided the formation of a complex field of sociabilities in Milho
Verde that have unfolded into maintenances and transformations in the modes of technical,
social and cultural appropriation of its social-ecosystem atmosphere. The tourist economy
started to strengthen in the following decades with a provocative force from multiple
transformations in its social panoramic and modes of territorial appropriation. The touristic
activity still determined the emergence of interactions between native residents, non-natives
and tourists, which reveals the modes through which the regional subordinate has creatively
resisted these reconfigurations. Integrating itself in individual projects or collective actions
developed by the socio-environmental NGO Milho Verde Institution the creative resistance of
this community was expressed through the strengthening of identities, subordinate sectors?
cultural knowledge and practices, as well as in the reinventions of traditions relative to the
local religious festivities. With regards to the environmental politics, Milho Verde is
circumscribed inside the limits of an Area of Environmental State Protection (APAE,
portuguese abbreviation), created in 1998, and composes a Natural State Monument
(MONATE), created in 2011 overriding the V?rzea do Lajeado, a common use territory,
where in the twentieth century subordinate sectors simultaneously integrated the practices of
the livestock, mining and plant extraction. Reflecting these reconfigurations subordinate
subjects of the members of Milho Verde?s community were integrated to the protection of
environmental politics as employees of the State Institute of Forests, the managing body of
the APAE and of MONATE. Otherwise, the environmental legislation imposed by the state
management of territory has marginalized local environmental practices and knowledge, with
the prohibition of the use of the natural conditions of Lageado Meadow for livestock and for
plant and mineral extractions. The Milhoverdense subalternia has creatively resisted this
process of marginalization through subsistence in the present day of knowledge, practices,
customary and memorable uses relative to the communitary management of V?rzea?s socioecosystem,
as well as through the environmentalization of its discourses.
vegetal.

Previous issue date: 2016-02-02 / Cities are now the areas that concentrate the majority of the population. Thus, this densification requires varied demands that, besides natural resources requires infrastructure such as housing and leisure. But not always the planning of these areas takes into account the social and environmental issues, especially regarding the provision of open spaces favoring centralized leisure conditions in the natural elements of the landscape. The situation is more critical still, when it comes to residential housing for low-income population. Therefore, the search for tools and studies that show new ways to integrate man, leisure, housing and the environment becomes increasingly necessary. Timon, located in northeast of Brazil and East Maranh?o, is in this context, because it is undergoing major change of its open areas for construction of several residential housing units like Novo Tempo in MCMV without offering spaces for leisure such as squares, parks and green areas. So this master's thesis was titled: Urban Growth and Environmental Degradation: The Absence of Open Spaces in Residential Novo Tempo in Timon-MA. With analysis of the quality of these spaces to use for leisure and social integration to the natural elements of the landscape. We aimed to analyze the environmental quality of the open spaces of the Residential Novo Tempo in the city of Timon-MA, showing use and perception of residents. The specific objectives were: Analysis of historical urban and environmental context of the city of Timon; geo-environmental characteristics of the Residential Novo Tempo in Timon; Diagnosis of infrastructural conditions of the residential open spaces; Identification of the types of open spaces in the perception of residents; Knowledge of the origin and socioeconomic profile of the respondents and residential Pointing improvements to the government based on the survey information. The methodological procedures of the study were bibliographic and documentary survey; development and implementation of questionnaires to respondents; data collection and systematic observation; making graphs, maps and photographic record, data analysis and conclusive. Among the results, it was found that projects aimed at low population continue to have low investment in urbanism with leisure offer and null centralized technical quality natural elements of its open spaces. Residential open spaces are restricted to sidewalks and streets in the perception of respondents. It was noticed though generally these areas are in need of qualitative and quantitative improvements in features minimum conditions to meet the demand of residents / As cidades s?o hoje os espa?os que concentram a maior parte da popula??o.

Previous issue date: 2016-06-30 / This research was developed at the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology
Amazon, Campus Mau?s, with the participating students. This study aimed to know the
relationship between the myths and beliefs related to the consumption of guarana (Paullinia
cupana) powder by students and their application as a socializing element, seeking also to
identify these objectives in the design of a group of elders in the city. Considering the focus of
the search and the lack of specific theoretical framework on the selected theme, it used the
questionnaire technique, workshops and interviews. The research work was carried out with
two specific groups of students: the first group, glimpsing the general knowledge of guarana
with issues related to myths, legends, beliefs, cultures, as well as guarana seen as a social
element in Mau?s and other places. The second group focused on the search for specific
knowledge regarding the guarana associated with physical activity, with questions focused on
the reasons for the guarana consumption during cultural and sports activities. To achieve the
objectives of this research it was necessary to seek theoretical foundations related to
indigenous peoples Sater?-Maw?, discoverers of guarana and first consumers of this product,
highlighting the historical context and the origin of guarana as well as the various forms of
consumption. Mau?s, known worldwide as "the land of guarana", for being the place where it
originated guarana, being known by the effects of strength and longevity. Over 182 years of
the city, the population of Mau?s learned from the Indians about the habit and the various
ways to consume guarana, preserving cultural values and customs of its discoverers. Through
survey data, it was possible to draw a profile of the students / athletes on physical
performance, as well as people in the third age, identifying the relationship as guarana
consumers in Mau?s powder. It was found that 70% of practitioners of physical activity
students are Mau?s guarana powder consumers, consuming the product at least 1 time a day.
As for the amount of guarana powder consumed, the research indicates that 65% of
respondents consume approximately 3.33 to 13,33g guarana daily. The main forms of product
consumption are: (1) Commercial powder, ground - and 55%; (2) grated in the language of
arapaima - 45%. Therefore, this research also shows that Maueense community consumes
guarana as an inherited custom from generation to generation, since 95% of respondents
attribute the consumption of guarana to family tradition and improvements in performance
during physical activity practices . It was noted that the youth of not consuming guarana, but
those who consume it, use it as a tradition, to improve physical performance and as a source
of energy (ergogenic) and pleasure, being guarana a natural product, It is the municipality and
symbolizes the connection of this with the valuation of maueense culture / Esta pesquisa foi desenvolvida no Instituto Federal de Educa??o, Ci?ncia e Tecnologia do

consumo do guaran? durante as atividades culturais e desportivas.
ind?genas Sater?-Maw?, do guaran? e primeiros consumidores deste produto, destacando o
contexto hist?rico e a origem do guaran?, assim como as diversas formas de consumo. O
? tradi??o

Previous issue date: 2016-10-05 / The aim of this study was to analyze critically and reflectively the process of training of
students of the Federal Institute of Amap? Degree Courses - Campus Macap? (IFAP), seeking
to verify whether it contributes to the practice of teaching in vocational education. The
research takes as reference the Degree courses in Computer Science and Chemistry offered by
the institution, as well as official documents guiding them. Since 2008, with the creation of
the Federal Institutes of Technology and the consequent expansion of the Federal
Technological Education Network, offering these courses is part of the government policy
expansion project for teacher training aimed at overcoming the deficit teachers, especially in
the areas of natural sciences and mathematics, and in the field of Vocational Education. The
methodological approach used the perspective of case study from a qualitative approach,
which investigated students, teachers and educational managers operating in these courses. In
order to reveal the object, it was decided to use the following methodological strategies:
questionnaires application, carrying out semi-structured interviews and analysis of documents,
such as: curriculum matrices of degree courses, pedagogical projects of the courses, official
documents of the Federal Institute Amapa and the National Council of Education, as well as
the documents and guidelines of the Department of Professional and Technological Education
(SETEC / MEC). The results showed that the above courses have been designed in
accordance with the legislation which provides for teacher training courses for Basic
Education, respecting the minimum hours established for this purpose, distributed in three
training centers covering theoretical and practical knowledge, highlighting both specific
knowledge about the teaching - teaching. It should be noted that this workload distribution
proved uneven, predominating more hours to the core of expertise in comparison to the core
teaching knowledge - teaching, a situation which leads to instrumental and bacharelesco
technical nature still very present in structuring degree courses in Brazil. As the main
objective of this study, to verify that throughout the training process these courses present
suggestions for possible teaching practice in vocational education, the survey revealed that,
although there is expressly no discipline in the curriculum matrices that addresses the
discussions on the Professional education as a teaching mode during the training course in the
courses students have contact with the debates that address the specifics of the EP through any
discussions at different times of training, both seen content in the classroom in the classroom
and in stage stage supervised and projects and events organized by the institution. In the final
considerations were presented proposals that enable improvements in teacher training offered
in IFAP's degree courses, with reference to the locus where it takes place and preparing to
operate in Professional Education.
- Campus Macap?
Profissional e Tecnol?gica (SETEC/MEC).

Previous issue date: 2016-11-16 / This dissertation is a research work in a agricultural community in the municipality of Porto Grande, in the state of Amap? in Brazil. The research aimed to investigate the produced knowledge and practices and practiced by farmers in their working practice and the relationship of these with the educated knowledge. We propose the use of Ethnomathematics as a form of reflection on the activities of this social group. Data collected from visits in loci surveyed treat the mathematical methods used by these groups of workers and the application possibilities of these in the classroom. The methodology used for this research is a qualitative approach. We discuss the work of the farmers in that community. We interviewed farm workers in their working environment and analyzed the existing mathematical knowledge in their work activities. We present two schools of Macap? some of the problems dealt with farmers to analyze the content or not schooled students facing such problems. We realize that students have difficulties to solve problems because they can not relate them to the everyday agricultural activities.

Previous issue date: 2016-03-15 / The research presented here is a case study concerning the appropriation and uses of the
school uniform for the 3rd students of Technical High School of Universidade Federal Rural
do Rio de Janeiro (CTUR). The main goals were: understanding the clothes and school
uniform as a way of communication among young people, identify the students conceptions
about the role of school uniform CTUR, as well as the uniform changes made by students.
From a qualitative-quantitative approach, we use many sources for the research: Brazilian
legislation, official CTUR documents, semi-structured interviews with employees and
students, non-participant observation and photographic records. Through photographs and the
interviews, and based on official documents regarding the school uniform of the institution,
we present and discuss the terms used by the interviewees. Students proved to be aware of the
primary functions of the school uniform, and also pointed out advantages and disadvantages
in their use - quite current discussion on social networks and websites specialized in
education. They attributed to uniform safety functions, identification, discipline, and no
differentiation of social classes. As positive points of the uniform use indicated economy and
practicality; and as negatives little emphasis on individuality and the possibility of
stereotyping students. They presented themselves proud to be able to wear the uniform of a
Federal College, but still showed some youth predicates - that lead to a transgressive
behavior, needing bypass rules to build (and state) their own identities - appropriating and
transforming uniform, is customizing it, either by changing it to provide comfort, is writing it
with accessories. Thus, the use of practices such as changes sleeve cuts and shirt collar on the
grounds of comfort were the most significant. Along with them, the identity marks were
closely linked to fashion, such as: use of slipper and sandal - despite the express prohibition;
shorter shorts and colors and materials not allowed; trousers of colors, patterns and materials
also varied, confronted with what is permitted by the College; various accessories such as
caps, earrings, necklaces, jackets and other items - leather bracelet, banners and turbans,
piercing, nails and painted mouths - characteristic of specific groups - rock, hippie, rasta,
movement of black consciousness and homoaffective. We note that, although there are rules
to control by the School, that is not performed in a very tough way, leaving room for students
to present themselves as young people in shaping their identities, enabling us to conclude that
the school uniform - and the elements he engaged - are specific means of communication
between young students CTUR. But that in this communication also becomes important for
students to be identified as such, with a membership status desired by them.
ligadas ? moda, tais como: uso de chinelo e sand?lia ? mesmo com a proibi??o expressa;
estampas e materiais tamb?m variados, confrontando com o que ? permitido pelo Col?gio;

Pesquisa do Estado do RJ - FAPERJ / This work is the result of a survey conducted in S?o Paulo with Bolivian immigrants, as well as two non-governmental institutions on what these were, and if they had some knowledge of the immigration laws in Brazil. The data collected from the survey allowed the perception of the configuration of three types of subjects that conform as knowledge groups. The first has knowledge due to their day to day in the capital, they are mostly people who are already more than ten years in the city and speak Portuguese well. The second type has won certain degree of knowledge because the NGOs, and the third type, does not have any knowledge in the latter there is an intersection between immigrants little or nothing speak Portuguese, with speakers immigrant Portuguese, but they do not need to know the laws because they have sufficient income to pay for lawyers and agents when they need it, while others working in sewing workshops, have no means to pay for the provision of the law knowledgeable services. In the first type, usually immigrants speak more about the fact that the law be retrograde, coined to criminalize the immigrant, the second type speaks more about the needs that revolve around work and how the law should be amended to facilitate for example that students could have the right to work, the third type is silent, except I have purchasing power for these, not really matter what kind of change occurs in this area. The NGOs in turn proved to be true schools with quite specific philosophies, but both agree on the need to change the law, the fees charged reductions, as well as the time spent for immigrants able documented in Brazil. This research was mainly carried out semi-structured questionnaires, field notes, and bibliographic contribution. We believe this research appears necessary because once the Migration Policy is at a time of transition is important to listen to those who go through their daily reality has to say, besides contributing to bibliographic production on the subject.
