Natten är naken och månlös : Subjektsinversion i Marie Unders 20-talslyrik

Bremmer, Magnus January 2006 (has links)

Like several of her female peers, Marie Under (1883 - 1980) has been denied the international acclaim she deserves. The earliest text on Marie Under in swedish told of her greatness, but in classical fallic maner reduced her poetic production by marking it with pathological symtoms. Though latter texts by author Enel Melberg have put a feminist perspective on Unders work, the theoretical complexity of her poetic images and language, and its polemic relation to contemporary literary currents, has yet to be recognised. This study will seek to portrait Marie Under and her poetry in this new light.

The study moves from an installation of Marie Under in the modern discourse she so far has been estranged from, to an analysis of her earlier works (in the 1910’s and 1920’s). Lou Andreas-Salomés theory, characteristic of the period, will found Under’s debut in the discourse of Eros and the production of female subjectivity. Through the theory of Luce Irigaray I will try to see how this force towards a female subjectivity is inverted, to call into question the souvereignity of the (male) subject. That is, to see in the face of modernism not only the rise of female subjectivity but its relativization and multifaced constitution. Irigaray’s poststructuralistic theorizations leads to the postmodern philosophy/communication theory of Jean Baudrillard. With his hyperreal notion of imploded distances between subject and object, decomposition of causality and meaning I take on a search for a voice that surpasses the subject, a voice of simulacra in Marie Under’s poetry from early 20’s.

A significant portion of the study is engaged in Marie Under’s relationship to her mother tongue. Under wrote poetry in early years but not until her late teens in the language of her own country, estonian - mostly due to the russian occupation. From 1918, when independence was declared, estonian culture blossomed, and the estonian language was renewed. Marie Under’s poetry had a great deal in this linguistic regeneration, and I will sum up this poetic/linguistic practice in the chiasm: to seek language through poetry and the poetry in this language. This dialectic approach to Under’s poetry is an essential part of this study.

Inkludering i svårigheter : Tre timplanebefriade skolors svenskundervisning

Tinglev, Inger January 2005 (has links)
The aim of this study was to describe and analyse the work of three schools, all exempted from the national timetable, to see how they worked to help pupils in difficulty reach the goals in Swedish. The method used can be described as a qualitative case study inspired by ethnografic field work. The results are based on data which included 52 individual interviews, 5 group interviews, 54 classroom observations, and field notes. A total of six different classrooms were observed. This study schows that a categorical perspective of special education dominates the documented view of education for all pupils. Pupils' difficulties are seen as individual, but two schools register a plan and desire to achieve inclusive education. Participation in the projet of working without a national timetable would indicate such ambitions exist in all three schools. In practise these ideas provide more organisationally differentiated oppportunities for pupils in difficulty. Timetables in all six classes have a strong classification and a framing of time. This obstructs pupils' participation and dialogues. While the teaching of Swedish in the six classes was described in three different ways in the outlines, the observations and pupils' statements indicate that skills and teacher-planned activities dominated all six classes. A more detailed look at the reading and writing processes gave rise to a dominant "Literacy", which in turn meant that support was given outside the regular classroom instruction in two of the schools. This is supported by special teachers' non-engagement in the project. The conclusions are that a categorical perspective perspective, a strong classification of subject and time, teacher planned activities and skills, and a monophonic reading and writing process influence each other in marginalizing pupils whose "literacies" differ from the dominating scholl "Literacy".

Whispering Bodies : The Textual Brain

Bertling Wiik, Siri January 2021 (has links)
During this project I’ve been exploring how we can work with things within art to change our way of relating to ourselves, other humans and our surrounding. I want to see if finding inner spaces within us can make us feel more connected to our external surrounding. I want to share the feeling of being connected with things through incorporating them inside our own bodies. I have therefore been leading participants on introspective journeys where they found rooms inside of their bodies. After that I have been translating these inner spaces into immersive performative Scenography, where visitors have been invited to engage with the things in the space with all their senses. All the bodies, things as well as visitors, have been given the possibility to interact on their own terms. I wanted to see what kind of relating this room of Whispering Bodies; the Immersive Scenography inspired and invited to, and I wished for it to be a tactile bonding with a sense of heightened empathy and listening. This text-based piece, called Whispering Bodies: The Textual Brain, is created out of a curiosity in how a reflection based in the written language can exist as a complementary work for a physical and tactile space, in this case Whispering Bodies: The Immersive Scenography. I wanted to create an experience that would have traces of the room filled with different bodies. I have been experimenting with how to use different mediums to make this happen, and this piece will be a combination of meditation, video, drawings, audio and text, and the text itself will be jumping in between genres. I want to invite you to take part in this journey with me. It will be dry, it will be poetic, it will be telling you what happened, both the factual and the fictional. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me about the work.
