Räcker det med två sidor? : En läromedelsanalys om grannspråk i läromedel för svenskämnet över tid. / Are two pages enough? : A content analysis about neighbouring languages in Swedish education over time.

Denna studie syftar till att undersöka om det skett några förändringar över tid i läromedels innehåll och omfång rörande de nordiska grannspråken norska och danska. I studien kartläggs även vilka kognitiva processer och kunskapsnivåer läromedel från Gy11 och Lpf 94 berör i övningsuppgifter som behandlar de nordiska grannspråken och grannspråksförståelse. Dessa aspekter har undersökts genom metoden innehållsanalys och Blooms reviderade taxonomi. Resultatet av studien visar övningsuppgifterna endast berör de två lägsta kunskapsnivåerna itaxonomin och att majoriteten av de kognitiva processerna som berörs kan härledas till de tre lägsta processerna minnas, förstå och tillämpa. Vidare visar resultatet att det finns stor variation på vilket sätt och i vilken utsträckning nordiska språk berörs eller i vissa fall om ämnesområdet berörs över huvudtaget. Därtill visar resultatet att läromedel från Lpf 94 i större utsträckning har ett innehåll som undervisar i nordiska språk medan läromedel från Gy11 snarare undervisar om nordiska språk. / This study aims to investigate whether there has been any changes in teaching materials concerning neighboring language comprehension in Swedish textbooks over time. The study maps which cognitive processes and knowledge levels are touched on in practice tasks that are associated with Nordic neighboring languages and neighboring language comprehension from Gy11 and Lpf94. This has been investigated through the method of content analysis and Bloom's revised taxonomy. The results of the study show that the practice tasks only appear in the two lower levels of knowledge in the taxonomy and that the majority of the cognitive processes affected can be derived to the three lowest processes remember, understand and apply. Furthermore, the results show that there is great variation in what way and to what extent Nordic languages appears in Swedish textbooks or, in some cases, whether the subject area appears at all. In addition, the results show that teaching materials from Lpf 94 to a greater extent has content that focus on knowledge in the Nordic languages, while teaching materials from Gy11 rather focuses in knowledges about the Nordic languages.

Looking for new sponge species in the Indo-Pacific region

Sponges play an important role in many marine habitats and are crucial for maintaining the deep-sea marine ecosystems. However, there is a knowledge gap in the field of sponge biodiversity due to insufficient exploration of the deep-sea, and the probability of finding new species is fairly high. The deep waters of the Indian and Pacific Oceans are particularly poorly explored, and their sponge diversity is barely known. During the KANADEEP 2 expedition in the south of New Caledonia a large collection of Demospongiae and Hexactinellida was gathered to assess the sponge biodiversity. In this project 110 Demosponges were investigated morphologically and identified to the order level. Twenty-one of these were selected for further identification and description in terms of shape and geometry of spicules using light microscopy. The DNA was extracted from eight specimens for the confirmation of new species. Amplification of CO1 Folmer fragment was conducted using PCR. The resulting PCR-products were analyzed using gel electrophoresis and DNA-sequencing. The twenty-one specimens were assigned to the genera Tethya, Stupenda and Geodia belonging to the order Tetractinellida, which was found to be the dominant order in the deep waters in the New Caledonia region. There are potentially six new species amongst the studied specimens. However, it has to be confirmed with molecular analysis of specific markers. The morphological analysis of 21 specimens collected during the KANADEEP 2 expedition demonstrated that 17 specimens belonged to Geodia, two specimens to Tethya, and two specimens to Stupenda.

<p>Revisorsnämnden har till uppgift att examinera, granska och tillgodose samhället med kompetenta revisorer. Det ställs höga krav på dem som vill bli revisorer inte minst vad gäller det professionella omdömet. Det finns två olika prov för att examinera revisorer. Provet för revisorsexamen vilket leder till titeln godkänd revisor och provet för högre revisorsexamen som leder till titeln auktoriserad revisor. När Revisorsnämnden skapar proven vill man testa det professionella omdömet. Ett led i detta är att man har satt upp normer för de olika proven vad gäller kunskaps‐ respektive förståelseinriktade frågor. Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka frågorna i revisorsprovet med utgångspunkt ur Blooms Taxonomi. Genom en jämförelse med revisorsnämnden normer vill vi vidare belysa i vilken grad Revisorsnämnden testar det man har för avsikt att testa genom examinationen. Vi har genom denna uppsats kommit fram till att proven i högre utsträckning än vad normerna antyder består av förståelseinriktade frågor.</p>

The purpose of this Bachelor’s thesis was to explore how principals and school administrators work to develop their school libraries. To narrow our area of study we chose to only include gymnasiums run by the municipality and conducted four semi-structured interviews with two principals and two heads of upper secondary school. We formulated two questions: (1) what perceptions of the school library and its functions can be found among our four respondents? And, (2) how do they work with developing the school library? As a theoretical framework we used Loertscher’s taxonomy of the school leader. The results from our interviews indicated that our respondents have a broad view of what role a library can play in the school, but mainly they wanted it to be an information center. How much they sought to develop the library ranged from not at all to very much. It seemed to depend on personal interest, authority, money, time and a librarian’s willingness to cooperate. The librarians and teachers also needed time to improve the cooperation. / Program: Bibliotekarie

In the spring term of 2013, national tests were conducted in social sciences for the first time in the Swedish sixth grade. The tests fell under criticism from various outlets associated with education which eventually resulted in the removal of these new national tests. However, as of 2016 it has been decided that the same institutions responsible for the national tests are to develop voluntary assessment support material in these subjects, which will be available nationwide in 2017, essentially replacing the tests.    The idea for this essay was born out of a need to investigate to what extent the different types of knowledge and abilities of Lgr 11, the Swedish curriculum, correspond to the new national tests, since such research has yet to be done for the sixth grade version of the tests. Out of constraints related to time and size, we chose to limit ourselves to two of the four subjects in social sciences, namely history and religion.    Using text analysis as method and Bloom’s revised taxonomy as an analysis model to study the alignment between the national tests and the curriculum, we’ve endeavoured to answer the following questions: To what extent are the different types of knowledge and abilities tested in the national tests in history and religion for grade six? How well do the national tests in history and religion for grade six and the knowledge requirements of Lgr 11 correspond in regard to which types of knowledge and abilities are tested and the extent of these? The results showed that the national tests and the knowledge requirements of the Swedish curriculum by and large share a high level of alignment. However, the amount of test questions corresponding to each knowledge requirement varies greatly, creating a possible gap for teachers to fill should they use the forthcoming assessment support material in their work.

Syftet med uppsatsen var att undersöka elevers inställningar till matematik samt deras tillvägagångssätt när de löser matematikuppgifter av olika svårighetsgrad. Undersökningen vi genomfört består av två delar; en enkätundersökning utformad som ett prov och semistrukturerade intervjuer. Resultaten ledde oss till följande slutsatser: motivationen är central för elevernas prestationer i matematik och att problemlösningsorienterad matematikundervisning bör vara kärnan i matematiken då den ger möjligheten till att få en djupare förståelse för matematiken i stort. Denna problemlösning bör vara utan specifika ramar och metoder för att skapa en frimodig och kreativ problemlösare. / The purpose of the essay was to study students´ approaches to mathematics and the ways they go about when they solve mathematical problems of shifting difficulty. Our research consists of two parts; one part enquiries in the form of a mathematics test, and also semi structured interviews. The results led us to the following conclusions: motivation is central to students´ accomplishments in mathematics, and problem solving oriented mathematics education ought to be the key content of mathematics since it provides the opportunity to obtain a deeper and more thorough understanding of mathematics in general. This problem solving process should be without specific frames and methods in order to create a free and creative problem solver.

A revision of the genus Chamaecrista (Leguminosae) in Ecuador is presented. The work is based on morphometric studies of herbarium material and information from the literature and the Internet. The purpose of the study was to get a better knowledge of the distribution, taxonomic status and conservation of Chamaecrista in Ecuador. The study recognizes in all six species and several varieties, viz. Ch. nictitans with var. jaliscensis, var. disandea, var. pilosa, var. paraguariensis and var. glabrata, Ch. glandulosa with var. flavicoma and var. andicola, Ch. absus and Ch. rotundifolia. Keys, descriptions and illustrations are provided for all taxa.

The aim of this Bachelor's thesis is to contribute with new knowledge about the use of school library plans. The focus is to learn about 18 Swedish municipalities’ view with regards to their school library plans. The purpose is to understand how the school library plans describes their main task, how the libraries are to be used and what type of staffing that is required. Under Swedish legislation the municipalities must have a library plan that describes the municipal libraries. According to the National library of Sweden, three quarters of the municipal library plans lack information about their school libraries. A few of the municipalities that lack information have solved this issue by creating a separate school library plan. To carry out this study a qualitative content analysis has been conducted on 18 municipal school library plans. Loertcher’s taxonomy was used to analyse the results. The coding scheme was created from the 11 levels that can be found in Loertscher’s taxonomy, additional themes that could not be found in the taxonomy were created. This was done because the themes appeared in several of the school library plans, and was thus considered important. The results show that the school library plans vary in quantity and discuss different themes. The municipal school library plans that have been used gives very different information, among other things regarding staff, education and cooperation between librarians and teachers.
