Previous issue date: 2013 / Nenhuma / Na busca pela competitividade, as organizações buscam na cadeia de valor identificarem suas atividades de relevância estratégica para que se possam entender as origens e os potenciais de diferenciação e o comportamento dos custos. Dessa forma, as atividades de potencialização estão relacionadas com o desempenho dos processos internos e com o crescimento organizacional. O objetivo desse trabalho é identificar, na cadeia de valores da organização objeto do estudo de caso, quais as atividades e elos de maior potencial de valor agregado, identificando possíveis oportunidades do uso da Tecnologia da Informação (TI) para obter vantagem competitiva ao negócio da empresa. O trabalho apresenta o estudo de caso como modalidade de pesquisa qualitativa, numa indústria brasileira de grande porte do ramo de bens de consumo. Os dados foram coletados por meio de entrevistas em profundidade e questionários semiestruturados abertos realizados com Diretor Geral, diretores corporativos e gerentes da alta administração da organização. Assim, o resultado da pesquisa apresentou direcionadores a serem observados que orientam o uso de recursos de TI como forma de alavancar vantagem competitiva para o negócio da empresa, agregando valor na cadeia produtiva, operacionalizando os processos do Sales and Operation Planning (S&OP), estabelecendo ações que impactam nos três níveis de estratégia corporativa, do negócio e funcional. / In the search for competitiveness, organizations seek to identify, in their value chains, activities that are strategically relevant to understand the origens and possibilities of differenciation, as well as the cost behaviours. Thus, the activities of empowerment are related to the performance of internal processes and of organizational growth. This thesis seeks to identify, in the value chain of the organization that is object of study of the present paper, which activities and links have higher potential of value-added, identifying possible opportunities in the use of Information Technology in order to obtain competitive vantages to the company. This paper presents a case study as a form of qualitative research in a large Brazilian company operating in the area of consumer goods. Its data were collected through in-depth interviews as well as through semi-structured and open questionnaires with the company’s director, corporate directors and managers of the organization. Thus, the research’s results show some directions to be followed. They guide the use of Information Technology as a way to levarage competitiveness advantage for the company’s business, adding value in the supply chain, while at the same time operationalizing the process of Sales and Operation Planning (S&OP), and establishing movements that have impact in the three levels of corporative, business and functional strategy.

Cadeias produtivas da pesca artesanal marinha: uma investigação comparativa na região costeira do Estado de São Paulo / Value chains of marine small-scale fisheries: a comparative investigation in the coastal region of São PauloCaroline Ykuta 30 September 2015 (has links)
Atualmente, a pesca de pequena escala enfrenta diversas dificuldades, dentre as quais se destacam as deficiências estruturais de armazenamento, conservação e processamento do pescado, mas também dos processos de distribuição e comercialização. Uma das principais necessidades de conhecimento consiste no mapeamento e compreensão dos processos e elos das cadeias produtivas das pescarias artesanais. O objetivo desse estudo foi tecer uma investigação comparativa focada na estrutura, função, e desempenho das cadeias produtivas de três sistemas pesqueiros do Estado de São Paulo com significância socioeconômica: o da corvina (Micropogonias furnieri) capturada por redes de emalhe em Ubatuba; o do camarão sete-barbas (Xiphopeneaus kroyeri) capturado por redes de arrasto, no Rio do Meio, Guarujá; e o da manjuba (Anchoviella lepidentostole) capturada por redes de emalhe na Barragem do Valo Grande, em Iguape. Os dados de campo foram coletados durante o período de março/2013 a janeiro/2015 por meio de questionários aplicados em entrevistas com os atores envolvidos nos processos de captura, processamento, distribuição e comercialização do pescado. A cadeia produtiva da manjuba se mostrou como a mais complexa do grupo, com maior número de atores e fluxos de distribuição, alta abrangência de distribuição e diferentes tipos de processamento. Quanto à distribuição dos benefícios, a maior margem de comercialização foi verificada na planta de processamento da cadeia do camarão, enquanto que a menor foi a dos atravessadores das cadeias da corvina e da manjuba. O produto final com maior valor de comercialização no varejo foi a da manjuba eviscerada (7,6 vezes maior que o valor de primeira comercialização). Em relação ao desempenho das cadeias estudadas, os indicadores de equidade, eficiência, e empoderamento apresentaram baixa adesão, sugerindo uma necessidade de melhorias em todos os segmentos. A partir dos métodos e resultados deste estudo, tópicos importantes sobre as cadeias produtivas e de valores da pesca de pequena escala, poderão servir de base para a definição de políticas de gestão mais eficientes visando a sustentabilidade do setor, ou ainda, para a melhoria da qualidade do pescado e dos segmentos envolvidos nessas atividades. / Currently, small-scale fisheries face several difficulties, such as structural deficiencies for fish storage and preservation, but also in the process of distribution and marketing. One of the main knowledge gap is the mapping and understanding of the processes and links of the small-scale fisheries value chains. In this study, a comparative investigation focused on the structure, function and performance of supply chains from three fishery systems with significative socioeconomic relevance in São Paulo State was performed. The systems comprise the whitemouth croaker (Micropogonias furnieri) fishery by gillnetters in Ubatuba, the seabob-shrimp (Xiphopeneaus kroyeri) fishery by Rio do Meio\'s trawlers in Guarujá, and the broadband anchovy (Anchoviella lepidentostole) fishery by canoes with gillnets in the Valo Grande Dam, in Iguape. The data were collected at field from March/2013 to January/2015 through questionnaires and inperson surveys with the actors involved in the processes of catch, processing, distribution and sale. The supply chain of broadband anchovy proved to be the most complex, with highest number of actors and distribution flows, high range of distribution and different processing forms. On the distribution of benefits, the highest marketing margin was verified in the processing plant of the seabob-shrimp\'s chain, while the lowest, was identified in the middlemen of croaker and anchovy chains. The final product with largest retail sale value was the eviscerated broadband anchovy (about 7.6 times higher than the first sale value). In regard to equity, efficiency and empowerment criteria on value chains performance, the three fishery systems showed low compliance in all considered indicators, suggesting a need for improvements in all segments. This study obtained relevant details on the supply and value chain of the three small-scale fisheries of São Paulo. These data and the methods proposed may support the definition of management policies more efficient for the sector\'s sustainability, in addition, to improve the quality of fish and human segments involved in these activities.

Previous issue date: 2012-12-20 / This work verifies the effects of governance of value chains upgrading of enterprises in the cluster of ornamental Espírito Santo, Brazil. The quantitative methodology was used to achieve the proposed objectives and respond to the research question. More specifically we conducted a survey of 32 companies affiliated to the Centre Rocks, located in the regions of Itapemirim and saws, Holy Spirit. Data were analyzed using parametric and non-parametric statistical techniques, given the type of sample distribution. The results indicate that firms in the cluster are embedded in value chains governance market type, the export performance has no direct relationship with the percentage exported and finally the upgrading of enterprises and their marketing investments impacting on the competitiveness of their sales to the foreign market. / A presente dissertação verifica os efeitos da governança das cadeias de valor no upgrading das empresas do cluster de rochas ornamentais do Espírito Santo, Brasil. A metodologia quantitativa foi utilizada para atingir os objetivos propostos e responder ao problema de pesquisa. Mais especificamente foi conduzida uma survey com 32 empresas filiadas ao Centro Rochas, localizadas nas regiões de Cachoeiro do Itapemirim e Serras, Espírito Santo. Os dados foram analisados com o uso de técnicas estatísticas paramétricas e não paramétricas, dado o tipo de distribuição amostral. Os resultados indicam que as empresas do cluster estão inseridas em cadeias de valor de governança do tipo mercado, o desempenho exportador não apresenta relação direta com os percentuais exportados e finalmente que o upgrading das empresas e seus investimentos em marketing impactam na competitividade de suas vendas para o mercado externo.

Previous issue date: 2016-07-07 / The biggest challenge to promote decent work (according to the International Labor Organization) at regions with the production organization influenced by global supply chains is to generate upgrading that benefit both companies and workers. Analyses of global production networks and value chains have focused mainly on companies, without considering the role of work and institutions indirectly linked to the means of production. The most widely used theoretical scope to address the issue of including local producers in global supply chains is the Global Value Chain. Some authors may argue that the GVC is not a theory but an analytical framework, that can be used within different theoretical approaches. However, to evaluate social up/downgrading, it was necessary that the initial analytical framework was complemented by a social network approach, in order to understand the interrelationship between all parts that influence the organization of local production, including issues related to legislation, trade unions and social protection. This research project aims to contribute to the understanding issues applied to the agricultural sector, investigating the relationship between firm economic upgrading and social upgrading regarding rural workers and small farmers, based on the assumption that economic upgrading does not necessarily lead to social upgrading. The study object is the productive organization of the irrigated region Petrolina / Juazeiro, which includes large commercial farms, large, medium and small farmers, multinational businesses and has its production focused on domestic and international markets. It was found that the inclusion of a productive region in global supply chains through value-added activities, obtains through technical capacity and standards aiming the international market, can benefit large and medium producers, but usually leads to exclusion of small farmers with low investment capacity, mainly family holders. On the other hand, the achievement of economic upgrading does not immediately imply in social upgrading to rural workers and small farmers, nor is guaranteed by the influence of the leading firms at the global supply chain. Obtaining social upgrading it is strongly related to the existence of an institutional and legal framework, that ensures voice and bargaining power by workers. This arrangement is highly influenced by the presence of a public administration with a focus on the pursuit of social equity and by de convergence of domestic and international markets. / O maior desafio para promover condi??es decentes de trabalho (segundo a organiza??o Mundial do Trabalho) associados a cadeias de produ??o integradas com mercados globais ? gerar ganhos que beneficiem tanto empresas quanto trabalhadores. Previous issue date: 2010-08-05 / The main objective of this study is to evalulate the banking infuence on the development of aviculture products, by providing lines of credit to this setor, effectively enhancing the performance of poultry production, as is perceived by the unit Managers, and the Participant in the productive arrangements. Therefore, based on the knowledgable works of various authors, on the inter-organizational networks, a two step survey was conceived. The first step, considered exploratory in nature, utilized a sample of six managers: one from each participating company integrating the research, two from the financial institution participant in the productive arrangements, and two managers from the integrated units. The data collected and analyzed permitted: a) a greater understanding of the productive arrangements in Poultry Production, b) a comparison of the perceptions of managers against the literature reviewed, and c) the preparation of the questionnaires used in the second step of the research. The second step is considered descriptive in nature. We obtained a sample of 400 poultry farmers (or respondents), of which, 200 respondents were linked to each integrated corporation (or cold storage facility participants). The data collected and processed by means of descriptive statistics and multivariate analysis, presented the following results: a) significant statistical differences (α ≤ 0.05) in having banking credit access by the integrated units, and among the integrating company that had the direct presence of financial institution and, as well as, those that did not have such involvement, b) a positive relationship between banking credit access and the quality of investments, and c) no statistically significant relationship (α ≤ 0.05) between the quality of investments and the productive performance of the aviaries. The obtained results, concluded that the existence of a financial institution in the productive arrangement contributed to the overall improvement of the conditions for obtaining bank financing. Thus positively affecting the quality of investments. Nevertheless, the study did not provide evidence for the influence of financial intermediation in the productive performance of aviculture. / O presente estudo teve como objetivo avaliar a influência da intermediação bancária na liberação de crédito para o desempenho produtivo na avicultura de corte, a partir da percepção dos gestores das unidades integradas, participantes de arranjos produtivos do setor. Para tanto, fundamentada em autores das áreas de conhecimento de redes inter-organizacionais, realizou-se uma pesquisa constituída de duas etapas. A primeira etapa, considerada de natureza exploratória, utilizou uma amostra de seis gestores, sendo um de cada empresa integradora participante da pesquisa, dois da instituição financeira presente em um dos arranjos produtivos e dois gestores de unidades integradas. Os dados coletados e tratados pela análise de conteúdo possibilitaram: a) maior entendimento sobre os arranjos produtivos na Avicultura de Corte; b) comparação das percepções dos gestores com a literatura acessada; e c) preparação dos questionários utilizados na segunda etapa da pesquisa. Na segunda etapa, de natureza descritiva, obteve-se uma amostra de 400 produtores rurais avícolas (ou respondentes), sendo 200 respondentes vinculados a cada uma das empresas integradoras (ou frigoríficos). Os dados coletados e tratados por meio das estatísticas descritiva e multivariada mostraram os seguintes resultados: a) diferenças estatísticas significantes (α ≤ 0,05) no acesso ao Crédito Bancário pelas unidades integradas, entre as vinculadas à empresa integradora que contava com a presença direta de instituição financeira e àquela que não contava com essa participação; b) relação positiva entre o acesso ao Crédito Bancário e a qualidade dos investimentos realizados e; c) ausência de relação estatisticamente significante (α ≤ 0,05) entre a qualidade dos investimentos e o desempenho produtivo nos aviários. Por conta dos resultados obtidos, pode-se concluir que a presença de uma instituição financeira no arranjo produtivo contribuiu para a melhoria das condições de obtenção de financiamento bancário, influenciando positivamente a qualidade dos investimentos realizados. Apesar disso, o estudo não trouxe evidências quanto à influência da intermediação financeira no desempenho produtivo dos aviários.

Allied Motion Technologies Inc. is a global group that develops, manufactures,assembles and sells electric motors with associated transmission and electric driveadapted to customers in industries such as vehicles, manufacturing industry, medicaltechnology, defense and security, etc. Allied Motion, Bromma in Stockholm, hasdevelopment and installation of, among other things, control servos and gearboxes forstorage trucks and other components for the automotive industry. Allied Motion seesan integration of IATF 16949:2016 as a necessity to further enter the automotiveindustry. At present, they therefore need to understand where they are in relation tothe optimal situation to certify themselves against IATF 16949:2016. The purpose ofthe project is to provide support for Allied Motion's management for decisions onplanning and starting work on certification of the automotive quality standard IATF16949:2016 by creating the conditions for systematic integration work. The projecthas developed a tool for systematic and continuous mapping and analysis ofrequirements compliance IATF 16949:2016 that has been used and tested during theproject. Results and analysis show that certification against IATF 16949:2016 isjustified for Allied Motion but there is a need to create sense of urgency. Decisionsmust be made on how and when to implement IATF 16949:2016 and a project mustbe defined and resources dedicated. Allied Motion ser en integrering av IATF 16949:2016 som en nödvändighet för att ytterligare komma in i automotive-branschen. Syftet med projektet är att bidra med underlag till Allied Motions ledning för beslut om planering och start av arbetet mot certifiering av automotive-kvalitetsstandarden IATF 16949:2016 genom att skapa förutsättningar för systematiskt integreringsarbete. För att nå syftet har följande frågeställningar använts: 1. Hur kan en integrering av IATF 16949:2016 motiveras? 2. Hur ska Allied Motion gå till väga för att göra fortlöpande gapanalys mellan nuvarande verksamhetssystem och IATF 16949:2016? 3. Hur ser ett övergripande startupplägg ut för att komma igång med integreringsarbetet? Den teoretiska bakgrunden startar i begreppet värdekedja, vilket kopplas till hur kvalitetskrav sprids uppströms genom värdekedjan. Kvalitetsledningssystem är centralt för aktörer som verkar i industrin och här ligger mycket av arbetet med att bemöta de snabbt förändrade kundkraven. Integrering av IATF 16949:2016 görs för att säkerställa att aktörer inom industrin arbetar på rätt sätt. Projektets metod bygger på PDCA och iterering av arbetsmomenten i syfte att ha ett systematiskt sätt att arbeta. Projektet har tagit fram och testat ett verktyg för systematisk och fortlöpande kartläggning och analys av kravuppfyllnad IATF 16949:2016. Verktyget fungerade väl för strukturering och analys, men kompletterades med en riskbedömningsmodell för analys uppifrån och ned av befintliga processer. Följande slutsatser har kunnat dras för respektive frågeställning:1. Certifiering mot IATF 16949:2016 är motiverat på grund av bland annat ökade krav på aktörer i automotive-värdekedjan att vara responsiva på snabbt föränderliga kundkrav samt möjlighet till positionering.2. För att genomföra fortlöpande gapanalys kan tillvägagångssättet med spårbarhetsmatris som testats i detta projekt användas i kombination med riskbedömningsmodellen.3. Ett övergripande startupplägg innehåller ett förtydligande av befintliga processer, mappning och riskbedömning av befintliga processer utifrån IATF 16949-krav, samt identifiering av övergripande gap och bedömning av åtgärder. För att komma vidare finns ett behov av att skapa sense of urgency, fatta ett formellt beslut, definiera ett projekt och avsätta resurser. Projektaktiviteterna handlar både om att modernisera nuvarande verksamhetssystem och samtidigt gradvis integrera IATF 16949.

本研究以筆記型電腦產業為例,比較研究台灣與日本兩地的電腦產業結構、廠商之經營型態而合作關係。並且由五力分析、SWOT分析、價值鏈分析為分析工具。在五力分析的部分,從供應商、消費者、同業競爭者、潛在競爭者、替代品的構面,來探討台灣與日本廠商在面臨的因素,均衡狀態,配合環境的變動性發展前景等。皆下來在SWOT分析裡面找出整個筆記型電腦產業擁有的優勢、劣勢、機會而威脅,更深入瞭解台灣與日本廠商的現況,在該產業裡為了維持擁有競爭優勢,導出各產業要強化、改善的途徑。在價值鏈分析部分,引用台灣與日本之主要廠商的最近經營型態來舉例,仔細地瞭解而比較兩國廠商的經營方式。最後,並配合各分析的結果,直接進行訪問日台主要筆記型電腦廠商,經由深度訪談與深度蒐集研究的方式,套入產業結構之理論架構,會使得個案之研究更具完備性,找出未來台灣與日本筆記型電腦廠商間的合作關係。
因為筆記型電腦產業的變化非常快,五力、SWOT、價值鏈分析中的結構也隨著有變。本研究將環境之變化導入討論之中,使得產業研究更具動態的時效性,而盡量引用日本與台灣兩地的2000年第一季最新的資料,使得該研究具備動態效果。

華山創意文化園區的產業化發展受到一個由國家、藝術社群與企業三方構成的社會結構影響,藝術社群、國家與企業三者在不同階段扮演了關鍵的角色。此轉型過程經歷文化創意產業化的價值張力現象和政策磨合,揭示了上述行為者對於空間規劃與產業發展的不同主張,一方面造成其不同的信任與競合關係;另一方面也造成空間功能的轉向-此地區由一個位於前端的藝術創作聚落轉變成為靠近後端的大眾文化消費園地。
本文認為文化創意產業化的過程將引發行為者不同的價值取向,其原因為:一、精緻藝術與通俗文化的特性不同;二、創作前端與市場後端的需求與運作邏輯不同。而為了尋求文化與產業的永續發展,政府必須回應這種特殊的產業特性,扮演彈性的平台角色,一方面能夠觸動行為者的相互交流、理解與信任關係,使其自由溝通並跨界合作,誘發各種創新的可能;另一方面需要釐清空間的角色與功能,讓有效的補助與保護機制連結網絡關係及群聚效應。如此一來,這樣的制度環境能夠鼓勵創新,不因產值思維而壓抑創意,而創作前端與市場後端能夠充分活化與溝通,進一步完整價值鏈機能。 / The industrialized development of Huashan Creative Park was influenced by the social structure, composed of the state, the community of artists and the enterprise. These three factors played crucial roles within different phases. The Industrialization of culture and creativity resulted in tensions between discrepant values as well as policy modification within the transition, which displayed diverse positions toward spatial planning and industrial development from different factors. The tensional phenomenon not only altered the relationships of trust and contention among factors but also brought about functional change of the space-this cluster of art creation near the front end of value chain turned into a pop culture consuming park near the back end.
This paper argues that industrialization of culture and creativity will lead to dissimilar value orientations of factors because of two reasons:the first, distinct features of fine art and pop culture;the second, different needs and logic of creating front end and consuming back end of the value chain. In order to build up sustainable development of culture and industry, the government is suggested to deal with this kind of special industrial feature and take a role as a flexible platform. On the one hand, this platform should induce interaction, understanding, and trust between factors as well as generate free communication, synergies among multi-fields, and all possibilities of innovation, on the other hand, it can clarify the significances and functions of spaces as well as connect network and cluster effect to complete the function of value chain by an appropriate protective system and subsidies. As a result, this institutional environment can encourage innovation and interaction between creation and market instead of oppressing creativity due to output value requests.

臺灣半導體產值已佔全球半導體產值的百分之二十,而臺灣IC設計產值亦已佔全球第二位之重要位置,然而現今在全世界之市場、產品定義、及產品規範都掌控於歐美世界大廠之手,臺灣IC設計產業如何擺脫低價競爭之厄運,甚至有時就算低價競爭,也無法在歐美IC設計大廠已攤平開發成本下,在價格上取得任何優勢;因此在原有臺灣IC設計產業舊有之經營模式,大陸山寨市場提供一個絕佳從資通訊產業上、中、下游之產業鏈重組之模式,臺灣IC設計產業因此在經營模式上必須找出一可以創造產業鏈上、中、下游多贏之經營模式。山寨手機是目前相當成功的一個案例,也創造出一個華人市場特有的手機產業鏈模式,因此此一成功案例也成為目前臺灣IC設計產業最想複製並找出其中致勝之道。
本研究主要探討之問題有四:晶片設計產業,在擴散其核心競爭力時,往往是跨產業別之新的開始,應考量之要點為何? 為切入成熟市場,新的晶片設計公司從”邊陲市場”切入該產業時,產品需提供何種差異化?需提供何種服務並如何取捨? 晶片設計公司原本為腦力密集產業,強調是小而美;然而面對現今山寨產品之風行,山寨系統廠將營運重心轉往銷售及量產管理,則晶片設計公司在組織上如何因應此種產業分工之改變? 晶片設計公司之核心能耐擴展,在山寨市場所需具備之條件為何?
本研究主要藉由策略與組織、技術能力、與市場因素三個構面做為主要分析架構。由三主要架構再細分各架構之變項,在策略與組織中,共有企業經營團隊、核心競爭優勢、組織架構、及網絡定位等變項;在技術能力中,則有過去所累積之產品開發經驗、內部知識傳遞之效率、外部可利用之資源網絡、產品開發管理制度、組織學習能耐及企業之知識管理系統等變項;在市場因素中,則有市場需求之變化、產品行銷、產業合作網絡、及政策因素。
本研究所獲得之研究發現則針對於策略與組織、技術能力、與市場因素此三構面分別描述如下:
一、 在IC產業擴展產業別時,穩扎穩打以鞏固進入產業核心競爭力之根基為企業領導者之主要任務,因此循序漸進為較適當之策略展開作法。
二、 IC設計公司為對客戶提供更多的服務,且面對新的挑戰時,從現有組織分出一獨立組織,或是在公司內部創造出新的組織結構,以便重新定義新流程或定義新的工作型態。
三、 當IC設計產業為因應山寨產業之生態,若需跨足原先IT產業分工中,屬於品牌廠所需負責之工作時,因財務之負擔,必須審慎以對。
四、 企業以”邊陲進入”之模式切入成熟產業,若在硬體平台相類似下,僅以低成本之差異,但無法取得消費者在其他產品特性方面之認同,則將難以形成產品認同。
五、 企業在跨入其他產業時,利用購併之方式快速取得核心技術,重新定義新任務所需之流程及價值觀為首要任務。
六、 技術追隨者在進入市場時,選擇以”邊陲市場”進入為一正確之選擇,然而利用”五力分析”分析市場競爭者之動態,隨時調整本身策略為更重要之功課。 / According to the market report, 20% market share of world wide semiconductor market is supplied by Taiwan’s companies, and the total market share of Taiwan’s IC design house is ranked as second within world wide IC design companies. But until now, all of the product definition and product specification are dominated by USA or Europe companies. Even to offer the price competition strategy to the target market, sometimes Taiwan’s IC design house also cannot break even by the traditional quickly follower business model. China market offers a good market, which is different with the traditional business model, to re-organize the business chain, and we called it as “Shanzhai” market. Taiwan’s IC design company could define a new business supply chain to win back some market share within the mature market. “Shanzhai” mobile phone market is a successful case, and it also create a special business supply chain within Chinese countries. Based on this successful case, other Taiwan’s IC design companies also want to analyze and find out the successful business model.
Within this research, there are four questions should be covered, and shown as below.
Within the IC design industry, what’s kind of consideration should be discussed when it try to expand it’s core competition?
When a new IC design company want to cut in a mature market, what’s kind of service should be considered except the product differentiation?
IC design house is a high technology company and focus on small size but with high quality engineers. If IC design companies tried to target on servicing the “Shanzhai” market, they how to re-organize the traditional organization to meet the different models with small quantities business models.
To expand the IC design house core competition for servicing “Shanzhai” market, what’s kind of conditions should be prepared?
Within this research, it consists and discussed from three dimensions which are strategy and organization, technology capability, and market factors. Under the three dimensions, there are some detailed key factors should be covered. Under the strategy and organization, it should cover company management team, core competition analysis, organization structure, and the position within the supply chain. Under the technology capability, it should cover the product development experience, the knowledge communication efficiency internally, the learning capability of new technology, and knowledge management system. Under the market factor, it should cover the analysis of market demanding, market promotion, business cooperation, and policy consideration.
By the three dimensions(strategy and organization, technology capability, and market factors), this research have the following finding.
1. When the IC design company expand it’s core business, it is better to expand the core business sequentially as it’s strategy.
2. In order to provide more new services other than traditional services of IC design company, the IC design house is much better to organize a new supporting organization or re-organize a new section to support to re-define the working SOP or define a new working model.
3. In order to service the “Shanzhai” market, the IC design company may involve the service of traditional brand name company’s business. The financial burden is a critical issue should be considered at first.
4. When the IC design house tried to step into a mature market as technology follower, it should try to find other differentiation point other than lower price only.
5. When the IC design house try to merge other IC design company for quickly step into a new market, the first priority is to re-define the new working SOP and target task for new group.
6. The technology follower select a second/or third priority market as their target market is a correct selection. But the most important is to adjust the own strategy dynamically according to competitor’s status.
