群際接觸對登陸台灣人當地化之影響:以東莞及上海為例 / The Impacts of Intergroup Contacts on the Localization of Taiwanese Immigrants in China: The Study of Dongguan and Shanghai

登陸台灣人在中國大陸與台灣兩地的跨界生活,形塑了兩地的生活空間及社會網絡,本研究的問題意識在於,個人層次的接觸、互動與熟識,是否有助於個人在社會互動情境中親身認識及了解他人,減少以類屬性的刻板印象去看待外團體成員,因此可以降低族群偏見、促進移民的當地化?經過2007年及2008年兩次的田野調查,在東莞及上海地區深度訪談三十位當地台灣人之後,本研究初步發現,在接觸的第一階段,當台灣人接觸愈來愈多的大陸人之後,將消除原先的偏見,形成心理「基模」,一方面,部分受訪者表示其原先持有的偏見獲得證實,亦即台灣人對大陸人的偏見消除了,但因而產生負面態度,反之,有些受訪者破除其對大陸人的偏見,進而對大陸人抱持正面態度;到了接觸的第二階段,一旦個人的心理基模形成,其乃決定繼續接觸或阻絕接觸大陸人的關鍵;最後,來到接觸的第三階段,繼續接觸大陸人的台灣人,逐漸同情理解當地文化,反之,阻絕接觸大陸人的台灣人,始終無法融入當地人的社交網絡。 / The theory of intergroup contact maintains that the key to reduce intergroup prejudice is through contacts between the groups under optimal conditions. The main concerns of this dissertation are as following: Would it be possible for Taiwanese to reduce their prejudice toward Chinese through intergroup contacts? And, would the intergroup contacts help Taiwanese immigrants integrate into local community? Grounding on these two questions, this dissertation examines the impacts of intergroup contact between Taiwanese and Chinese through field study in Dongguan and Shanghai from 2007 to 2008. After interviewing thirty Taiwanese immigrants, my empirical research suggests that the contact process can be divided into three stages. First, at the earliest stage, by contacting more and more local residents, Taiwanese immigrants would reduce their prejudice and thus cultivate a sometimes positive and sometimes negative attitude toward Chinese. At the second stage, the attitude cultivated in earlier stage turns into the schema and then plays an important role in conditioning sequent contacts: those who have a positive attitude would open up and get along with local Chinese while those who have a negative attitude would refuse to get in touch with Chinese. At the third and final stage, those who open themselves up would have sympathetic understanding of local culture and adapt to local community gradually while those who refuse to contact Chinese would have difficulties integrating into local community. 上海移民文化下的多元認同:以台商「抱團群聚」為例 / The multi-cultural identity of immigrants in Shanghai:behavior of Taiwan businessmen's lives

民進黨的執政並未改減緩台商西進大陸的現象,如今政黨再次輪替,兩岸關係更是日益密切,但台灣與大陸畢竟因為長期的政治對立造成社會隔閡,彼此之間在許多層面都存在著差異。當越來越多台灣人前進大陸的同時,台灣人在當地社會融入不及經濟融入的現象也屢見不鮮,其中又以台商「抱團群聚」為具體行為。面對這樣一群存有差異,甚至曾經敵對的一群人,既像自己人又像是外人,在當地獲取經濟利益時,卻刻意與當地社會保持距離的情形,一般大陸人會有怎樣的感受? 「社會認同理論」主張,族群的產生,會因為自尊的需求,不斷進行族群間的比較,當低群體成員無法像高群體進行身分移動時,會轉向自身的群體尋求提高自尊,於是族群間的偏見、對立,乃至衝突是不可避免的。「群際接觸假說」認為,族群間的偏見是因為對彼此的不熟悉,或因為資訊不足、或因為負面的訊息,透過正向條件下的接觸是可以消除彼此雙方的偏見,族群間的對立和衝突是可以避免的。 認同研究認為,人的認同會因為時間和地點的不同而改變,所以「上海」反而成為此次研究的關鍵因素,在上海的外來大陸人認為台灣人就以在上海來說,相對上海人而言反而比較像是「我群」的成員,所以對台灣人在上海抱團群聚的行為並不感到反感,甚至本身也是這種行為的成員之一。對上海人而言,台灣人抱團群聚的現象根本就是見怪不怪,由於上海特殊的移民文化,使得上海人的認同反而多元共存,甚至認為台灣人在某些層面比起其他大陸人更接近上海人的「我群」成員,特殊的移民多元文化創造上海不斷的進步、繁榮,而後者又不斷吸引新的移民進入。 不同群際接觸假說,上海獨特的移民歷史,改變了前者對「接觸」的定義,在多元文化的社會中,人們對其他族群和文化的包容力會變大,不一定要經過實質的接觸,或是正面的訊息傳遞。不以「同化」為目的,而是一種包容「差異」的能力,而上海本身便是把多元文化形成可能的一個場域,這或許就是上海獨特其它中國城市的原因,也是她迷人的所在。 / Under the increasingly frequent exchanges between Taiwan and China, Taiwanese people tend to congregate and inhabit certain regions of Shanghai. In face of immigrants who look both familiar and alien, how will most Mainlanders react, especially when social inclusion lags behind economic inclusion of these people? The contact theory proposes that positive contacts or reception of positive messages between ethnic groups can help iron out mutual biases. However, this study discovers the unique history of Shanghai about immigrants in foreign concessions and thus further extends this theory. A multi-cultural environment may affect one ethnic group’s tolerance of another group even without positive contacts or reception of positive messages between them. This is not any kind of assimilation but a phenomenon of people’s tolerance of minor differences. In addition to positive contacts and reception of positive messages, mutual tolerance among different ethnic groups may also be affected by the culture of the “field” they reside in.

數位科技應用於不動產服務業之研究 / An Understanding of Technology Application in Real Estate Services

數位科技的快速發展影響了人們的生活型態,也為企業提供了更多為顧客創造價值的機會。為因應網路及行動科技世代的來臨,不動產服務業者亦需了解如何應用數位科技提供顧客更全面的服務。 為了解不動產服務業在不動產生命週期各階段如何運用數位科技服務消費者,以及不動產服務業者應用數位科技的動機、延伸效益與挑戰;本研究以質化研究方法,收集國內外不動產服務業相關個案,依不動產生命週期分為上游投資興建、中游仲介交易、下游使用管理三類,以顧客價值創造循環(customer value creation cycle)分析個案應用數位科技於服務流程方式。 研究發現,上游投資興建階段,建設、營造業在諮詢、核心服務、附加服務等服務接觸點,應用VR、雲端分享協作、工程管理App工具讓顧客理解設計內容、提升工作效率。以居間媒合為主的仲介交易階段,同樣於諮詢、核心服務、附加服務接觸點,大量應用AR、VR等互動技術,並整合BI、big data,使房屋、行情資訊更加透明以促進成交。使用管理階段與顧客互動最為密切,除核心及附加服務外,於付款、客服、維護等服務接觸點,應用更多SoLoMo、O2O、行動支付等技術,整合居家周邊生活資源服務顧客。 應用數位科技不僅改變企業工作習慣與流程,也可創造新商業模式,或藉行動裝置提供客製服務深化顧客關係。然而,導入科技時亦可能面臨系統整合、工作流程與組織轉變而造成管理成本提升,或是遭遇獲利模式不穩定等挑戰。 因應數位新趨勢,不動產服務業者應完善行動服務介面、調整營運模式,進而掌握顧客需求,以真正解決顧客問題並為顧客創造價值。此外,企業應提前於不動產生命週期的前端即思考後續仲介交易、使用管理階段維運,並可從產業鏈上下游思考新應用模式;或是進一步延伸至顧客價值循環的其他階段,從關聯服務中發掘新商機。

複數標記「們」與分類詞的分與合 / Plural Marker -men and Numeral Classifiers: Convergence and Divergence

自Greenberg (1972) 以來,陸續有學者探討世界語言中的複數標記和分類詞之間的關係,並指出兩者的相似之處(Greenberg, 1972; Sanches and Slobin, 1973; Borer, 2005; Her, 2012)。本文稱這些研究為CL-PM Convergence View。這些研究指出分類詞 (numeral classifier; CL) 與複數標記 (plural marker; PM)呈現互補分布的關係。學者們 (Borer, 2005; Her, 2012) 更進一步認為,分類詞與複數標記在同一名詞組裡呈現互補分布,表示兩者在句法結構上佔據相同的位置,應視為相同的成分。然而本文發現,台灣華語「Num+CL+N們」結構有一定的能產性。若將「們」視為複數標記,則台灣華語對於上述學者的理論就形成了反例。有鑑於此,本文目的在於以句法接受度實驗及語料庫兩項方法,重新檢視台灣華語「們」的各種用法,以期解決文獻上對於「們」的諸多爭議。接著,在建立語言事實後,本文探討「們」對於CL-PM Convergence View的意義,並對於台灣華語「們」與分類詞在歷時和共時上的互動作出新的解釋。 具體來說,本文釐清了下列六項事實,為文獻上的爭議提供新的證據: (一)「們」可用於非指人的名詞;(二)「N們」為定指;(三)「Proper N們」僅表示 ‘多位Proper N’;(四)「¬1群N們」合法;(五)「Num+CL+N們」合法;(六) 在有接受英語教育的前提下,母語者的英語程度越低,對於「Num+CL+N們」的接受度越高,也越容易受到英語句法結構的促發(priming),表示「Num+CL+N們」的產生與和英語的接觸有密切關係。考慮這些事實及其他台灣華語沒有爭議的特性,本文認為台灣華語「們」應視為一個集合標記(collective plural marker),而非文獻所說的伴同標記(associative plural, Iljic, 2001,2005; 陳俊光,2009)或是普通複數標記(additive plural, Li, 1999; Hunag et al, 2009)。最後,本文提出兩個論點: 第一,我們根據Her et al (to appear)的洞見,區分「語意複數」(semantic plural)及「語法複數」(grammatical plural);第二,我們提出新的事實,論證「們」在句法上,台灣華語「們」是一個附綴(clitic)而非詞綴(suffix)。這兩項論點證明台灣華語「們」並不違反CL-PM Convergence View的預測,亦可以解釋「們」與分類詞在歷時(李豔惠、石毓智,2000)和共時上的互動。 / Since Greenberg (1972), there have been many studies addressing the issue of the relationship between numeral classifiers (CL) and plural markers (PM) (Greenberg, 1972; Sanches and Slobin, 1973; Borer, 2005; Her, 2012). These scholars (henceforth CL-PM Convergence View) discovered that CL and PM tend not to co-occur in the same language, and even if they do co-occur, they are complementarily distributed within NP. Some linguists (Borer, 2005; Her, 2012) take this generalization further to propose that CL and PM in fact belong to the same category. However, when we look at Taiwan Mandarin (TM) data, a potential counterevidence can be found: [Num+CL+N-men], in which CL and –men, generally taken to be a plural suffix, co-occur within the same NP. In light of this, this study aims to take a realist look at TM –men, collecting relevant data from grammaticality judgment task and corpora so as to capture the behavior of –men. We then test CL-PM Convergence View against empirical data obtained in the study, showing that [Num+CL+N-men] does not constitute a counterexample to CL-PM Convergence View. The apparent interaction between CL and –men in TM can also be accounted for under our analysis of –men. Specifically, this study establishes the following facts for TM –men: (1) the use of –men is not restricted to human Ns; (2) N-men must be definite; (3) Proper N denotes ‘more than one Proper N’; (4) [¬1 qun N-men] is grammatical; (5) [Num+CL+N-men] is grammatical; (6) native speakers’ acceptability of [Num+CL+N-men] is in negative correlation with their English proficiency, and priming effects of English structure [Num+N-s] are observed on speakers with low English proficiency. Taking these findings into account, this study proposes that TM –men should be best analyzed as a collective plural marker, contra Iljic, (2001,2005) and 陳俊光’s (2009) “associative” analysis on the one hand, and Li (1999) and Hunag et al’s (2009) “additive” analysis on the other. Accordingly, we argue that –men as a collective does not constitute a counterexample to CL-PM Convergence View, citing two further pieces of evidence: Her et al’s (to appear) insight that “semantic plural” and “grammatical plural” should be distinguished and the proposal made there to revise CL-PM Convergence View, and the “clitic” analysis of TM –men proposed in this study. Finally, we show that the distinction between “semantic plural” and “grammatical plural” also nicely explains the synchronic and diachronic interaction between CL and –men in TM.

台灣跨族群工具性交友網絡研究 / The research of cross-ethnic friendship and instrumental network in Taiwan

在本論文中,研究者認為影響受訪者跨族群交友的主要因素主要可從兩方面來看,分別為兩者連繫的同質性、連繫強度、接觸場合、社經地位差序變項,以及受訪者個人的世代、族群、教育程度與跨族群交友偏向程度。透過1997年三期三次「台灣地區社會變遷調查」社會網絡與社區組調查資料,本論文使用階層線性模型(Hierarchical Linear Models,HLM),從受訪者與他人的兩者關係所形成的連繫層次,以及受訪者個人層次來對台灣跨族群交往的現象作進一步的分析。研究結果發現,受訪者個人特質,例如受訪者教育程度、所屬族群,較兩者連繫特質,例如兩者連繫強度、認識場合,更強烈地影響了跨族群連繫形成的可能性,這樣的結果在過去由於方法上的限制,無法得到驗證,透過此研究,可對台灣族群相關網絡研究在建立跨族群連繫的可能因素上,提供了不一樣的看法與解釋。 / In this paper, I argued that what impacts the respondents constructing the cross-ethnicity ties can be treated from two perspectives. One is the tie-level, such as the homogeneity, tie strength, contact contexts, and socio-economical resources variables between two actors. The other is the individual-level, like the generations, ethnicities, levels of education, and the degrees of the preference for making cross-ethnic ties of the egos, that is, the respondents. I tested my hypotheses using the social network data in 1997, called Taiwan Social Change Survey (TSCS). Through building the hierarchical linear models, some advanced analysis could be done for understanding the cross-ethnic interaction phenomenon in Taiwan by considering the tie-level and the individual-level at the same time. The research results showed that when talking about the possibility of making cross-ethnic ties, personal characteristics, like levels of education, and ethnicities, are more important than tie characteristics, such as tie strength and meeting places of the two. However, this outcome cannot be examined in the past because of the methodological restrictions. Through this research, it provides different sights and explanations for discussing the possible reasons for constructing cross-ethnic ties in the social network researching area in Taiwan.

大學生是一群熱切使用媒體和科技的世界公民,他們特別會透過新媒體接觸來自整個地球村的大量資訊。大學生可以透過學校課程與活動、與國際學生社群互動以及到國外旅行都是其中的管道。本研究援引社會建構理論與涵化理論,以質性研究探討台灣大學生的人口變項、與非洲接觸行為、西方媒體使用、世界主義意識以及媒體呈現偏誤之察覺與台灣大學生對非洲刻板印象建構之間的關係。 線上問卷收集共215位台灣大學生有效樣本。研究顯示非洲接觸行為與媒體呈現偏誤之察覺,皆與刻板印象認同呈現正相關。 / University students are some of the more cosmopolitan groups in society, as voracious consumers of media and technology, especially new media, and exposed to a plethora of information about the global community. University courses, interaction with the international student communities, events on-campus and opportunities to travel abroad are some of the avenues available to them. Using quantitative analysis, this study examined the relationships between demographic and contact variables, Western media exposure, cosmopolitanism and perceived bias of media portrayals and its effect on Taiwanese university students’ endorsement of stereotypes of Africa. The research framework is informed by the theory of social construction of reality and the cultivation theory. Using an online survey, data was collected and analyzed from a sample of 215 Taiwanese university students. The analysis reveals that contact with Africa and perceived bias of media portrayals have the most significant influence on stereotype endorsement.

高度競爭下的市場進入決策:以台北市便利商店為例 / Entry Decisions in Highly Competitive Markets:A Case of Convenience Store Chains in Taipei

本論文探討台北市連鎖式便利商店的市場進入決策。研究發現在便利商店的產業裡,相較於多重市場接觸(亦即是否已同時出現在其他市場)的考量,與競爭對手門市的距離對廠商的進入決策有較大的影響。此外,上期競爭對手存在與否,也是廠商是否進入該市場的重要衡量依據。大型連鎖店會進入前一期競爭較激烈的市場,這些市場競爭對手的門市已有一家以上;而小型連鎖店通常不會依據對手的門市數目來決定其進入的決策。最後,利用不同的落後期變數設定,本文發現廠商的進入決策具有一致性。這表示在台北市,便利商店已經是相當成熟的產業了。 / In this paper we study entry decisions of the convenience store chains in Taipei. We find that the distance between store pairs is more relevant to firms' entry decisions than the multimarket contact (i.e., firms encounter each other in multiple markets) in this industry. In addition, the presence of a firm's rivals in the previous period plays an important role in the entry decision. The large convenience store chains are more likely to enter more competitive markets, such as markets consisting of more than one rivals' store. On the other hand, the small chains are indifferent to their rivals' presence when making their entry decisions. Lastly, firms' entry decisions are consistent when different measurements of lagged variables are used. We interpret that the convenience store industry may have reached a stable state in Taipei.

外籍配偶新聞報導產製因素之分析:行動者的觀點

本研究是以較常接觸、處理外籍配偶新聞報導的平面媒體記者為研究對象,並由「新聞組織」、「記者個人」和「消息來源」三大面向切入,透過與十四位不同採訪路線記者的深度訪談,深入探究記者在產製外籍配偶新聞報導的過程中,將如何受到其所屬媒體的組織文化、編輯政策、組織決策、採訪路線安排,以及記者個人的人口特質、族群態度、新聞專業意理,甚至是消息來源主觀態度與立場等因素的影響。   研究發現,影響記者報導外籍配偶新聞的重要因素包括:新聞組織的商業邏輯、上層長官喜好、採訪路線安排、消息來源立場,以及記者個人的認知與知識基模等,這些因素都是造成記者以特定新聞框架看待外籍配偶議題的結構性因素。   訪談發現,記者報導外籍配偶新聞時,多呈現以下幾種不同新聞框架,包括:「以商業邏輯為主」、「偏重衝突對立」、「同情弱勢受害者」、「社會光明面」、「翻轉刻板印象提供進步知識」以及「以本地人為優先」。而上述框架的出現,主要受到記者所屬「採訪路線」的影響。   整體來說,較少直接接觸外籍配偶個案,或多接觸負面個案的記者,較容易對外籍配偶抱持刻板印象,而且容易以偏概全。相反的,當記者透過中介團體轉介或個人人脈累積,而有較多機會直接接觸、採訪外籍配偶時,將有助於改變記者看待外籍配偶的族群態度,縮短彼此的族群距離,進而修正記者原本存有的刻板印象或偏見。由此可知,增加記者與外籍配偶間的「社會接觸」(social contact),的確有助於縮短兩者間的族群距離,並改善記者原本對於內外團體認知的藩籬。   本研究發現,把記者視為「行動者」進行研究,可深入瞭解組織、記者個人和消息來源因素如何交錯對記者的外籍配偶新聞產製造成影響。而此分析取徑也可提供「族群傳播研究」和「弱勢新聞再現研究」新的觀察視野,讓後續研究更加重視「記者個人刻板印象與意識形態」、「組織決策」及「消息來源傳播策略」等因素在族群新聞產製過程中的重要性,以及所可能帶來的影響。
