L'imaginaire de la fête "tribale" au Brésil : l'exemple du "Miss Brésil Gay" à Juiz de Fora / The imaginary of the tribal party at the Brazil : the exemple of the beauty pageant contest "Miss Gay Brazil" at the Juiz de Fora

Carmo Rodrigues, Marcelo 19 November 2014 (has links)
Since 1976 the beauty pageant contest Miss Gay Brazil is held annually in Juiz de Fora (Brazil) and its 36 editions regularly attract thousands of tourists. The competition takes place between the 27 Brazilian states represented by competitors who are not transvestites, but men who dress as women. Held as one of the first of its kind in Brazil, it has become one of the most representative cultural events in the city and one of the country’s best known gay events. This thesis will discuss homosexuality and « gay tribes » to validate the hypothesis that the contest is approaching a « postmodern effervescence ». The first part is based on traditional sociology, « comprehensive sociology », the imaginary and « everyday life sociology ». There is also a theoretical review of the most relevant points of works by Michel Maffesoli in relation to this study: tribalism, identity, alterity, effervescence and Dionysus. The rituals and rites of passage are given special attention, according to their importance in this research. The second part is a transdisciplinary approach to homosexuality, through a socio-historical reconstruction, identities, « gay tourism », utilisations of the body and homophobia. The third part is devoted to the « field », composed by the « life stories method » of five Brazilian Gay Misses. This is a qualitative research that uses « observing participation » and « participating observation » to arrive at data analysis, validation and verification of results, exposed in the fifth part. Through the microcosm of Miss Gay Brazil, the aim is to contribute to the development of new categories of sociological thought on homosexuality and fêtes « tribales » from a postmodern point of view.

Écologie, écosophie et réseaux numériques / Ecology, ecosophy and digital networks

Ramos, Adriana Anunciaçao 26 November 2015 (has links)
In recent decades, the widespread use of digital communication technologies in daily life gave rise to a new relationship between individual and territory. This relationship, in which different actors are increasingly integrated, surpasses the old dichotomous paradigm characterized by the man versus nature's relationship. Therefore, a new notion of environment, interactive and member of the social space is born as a result of technological representation of nature and the dialogue fostered by digital networks with the territory. The overall objective of this research is to investigate the contemporary ecological imaginary phenomenon from the perspective of the contribution of new digital communication technologies to the forms of representation of nature and interaction with the territory. To this end, the ways and means of interaction between individuals, digital communication technologies and territory will be studied, considering examples of practical use of digital technologies already consolidated. From a participatory study on digital networks, as well as case studies, we intend to further study on the contribution of digital networks as an open informative territory to changes in relation to contemporary sociability and contemporary ecological imaginary.

Towards a Lacanian methodology for analyzing extra-analytic textual material.

Apteker, R. L. 14 April 2011 (has links)
This research report presents a pilot study exploring the possibility of applying a Lacanian clinical methodology for analyzing unconscious dynamics in extra-analytic material. This research initially investigates the legitimacy and utility of this endeavour, followed by immersion in Lacanian thinking and the subsequent selection of potentially relevant data sets; samples of extra-analytic textual material. As this stage a recursive interaction between reading Lacanian theory and reflecting on the text is enacted. Five Lacanian concepts are identified (mirror phase, the three orders of the imaginary, the symbolic and the real, as well as the paternal agency). Although these concepts are, in process inextricable from another, they are presented as though discrete entities given that this allows for the foregrounding of different aspects in the process. The interaction between these concepts is considered with respect to Lacan‟s requirement in clinical practice of a tentative preliminary diagnosis of the patient into one of three diagnostic categories; perversion, neurosis and psychosis. Consequently, in a step that mirrors the clinical process, the textual subject of the data sets is tentatively classified as a (Lacanian) psychotic whose characteristic psychic structure is constituted out of foreclosure. Ways of discerning this structure in textual matter outside of the analytic setting are then considered. Four ways are proposed here. These are the unified or unbounded use of personal pronouns; evidence of thinking towards resolution or disintegration; denial or tolerance of difference and fourthly, the manifestation of regressive or libidinal speech actions. These four provide the basis for approaching the analysis of the selected data sets, which consist of carefully selected instances of Jacob Zuma‟s ostensibly unscripted public utterances. It is proposed that the four ways identified can be used in the analysis of other extra-analytic material.

Sous le signe de Terpsichore : scènes de bal dans des récits français, portugais et brésiliens du XIXe siècle / Under the sign of Terpsichore : ball scenes in French, Portuguese and Brazilian narratives of the nineteenth century

Daher, Claudia Helena 05 July 2016 (has links)
This thesis aims at analyzing ball scenes in narrative texts produced in three countries in the nineteenth century: the countries are France, Portugal, and Brazil. First, we emphasize the presence and the imaginary built around this social practice; after that, altogether with the eleven ball literary scenes, we analyze and discuss the diversity of representations to which this event has given place. Considering the ball scene as a privileged situation to the development of meetings, dramas, and promotions, we observe in what way each text works with the ball phenomenon, settling for this, a constant dialectical movement between the social and literary imaginary. In the last part of this paper, the results are placed to the light of studies on the imaginary schemes; such an analysis that allows us to verify the presence of the night scheme as a common thread, though, within this universe, the characters exhibit contradictory and innovative elements. Throughout this study, we have highlighted the position occupied by the individual at the ball and his or her relationship with modern society, analyzing at the same time, how the scenes contribute to strengthen or refute literary and artistic conceptions at the time. Our aim is to demonstrate that this topos, often present in the nineteenth century literary pieces, is a significant element in understanding the historical, social and literary imaginary of those times, social and literary period. Our research has a multi-disciplinary nature supported by literary criticism, history, sociology, anthropology, in addition to the reading of literary texts. The comparative perspective proves to be stimulating when it comes to understanding the characteristics and complexity of these scenes as well as imaginary elements that compose them.

Images violentes et violence de l'imaginaire : le Photolangage comme dispositif de transformation de la violence auprès d'adolescents agresseurs sexuels / Violent images and violence of the Imaginary : the use of Photolangage as a method to transform violence in adolescent sex offenders

Lo Piccolo, Giuseppe 25 September 2015 (has links)
This research explores the use of Photolangage© as a therapeutic tool for promoting relational processes and the development of symbolisation in group settings. Its capacity to hold and transform psychic reality is examined, particularly the possibility of dual holding of intense drives - by the group and by the mediating object – and of their transformation through the use of this kind of therapeutic method. The potential of such a therapeutic technique is explored, how it can contain, transform and perhaps even predict aggressive or violent behaviours in participants of the group. To this end, I took part in setting up and co-leading a therapy group for adolescents who engage in violent sexual acts. The case study presents an experimental and innovative small group therapy structure, with sexually aggressive minors, which was organised so that verbal sessions alternated with Photolangage© sessions. Observation and analysis of this method and this clinical practise bring to light the processes at work within this unusual framework, and highlight the role that mediation via photography can play at the heart of therapeutic support groups. This research presents the dual functions of Photolangage© as therapeutic and research methodology. The relationship between image and imagination, and between image and emotion, form the core from which questions about transformation of emotions and violence are broached. The relevance and efficiency of these specific groups and their capacity to contain and hold violence better than individual therapy structures is explored; how to better manage and transform, for improved social integration of our patients.

The decline of the rites of passage and its consequences for young people in contemporary societies

Borges, Paulo Rogério 17 April 2013 (has links)
Considering the importance of rituals in the process of mutual social recognition between human beings and in consequence, the development of adolescents, this study aims to identify, in a student community of a school of professional education, the impacts on the formation process young people, caused of the decline of rites of passage and identify in the imaginarys group, mythical universes that compose it. For this, we start from the assumption that rituals, whether sacred or profane, express the rules and values that guide the behavior of human beings in groups and in society and the decline of initiation rites, especially in adolescence, making of the youths its mayor victims. The theoretical axes organizers were the Theory of Imaginary Gilbert Durand and Social Anthropology of Quotidian by Michel Maffesoli. The methodology we used questionnaires to identify the socioeconomic and cultural group, observation to identify rites and myths in the school context, interviews with students, teachers, coordinator and other employees and Archetypal Test Nine Elements - AT-9, produced by Yves Durand, to identify the mythical universes group of students and how these relate to the world.

Uma educação da alma: literatura e imagem arquetípica / An education of the soul: Literature and archetypal image

Atihé, Eliana Braga Aloia 03 April 2006 (has links)
This present study tries to register images of a life history articulated by images of the literature - these latter ones appropriated by the subjectivity towards an education of the soul. Being so, I launch myself, starting from my experiences as a reader, into a theoretical-analytical path based on an anthropo-literary view in which literature is understood as myth and life history, i.e., as inter and intra-subjective symbolic mediator whose semantic openness is due mostly to the presence of the archetypal image - according to James Hillman\'s denomination ( 1995, 10). The pedagogical potentials of the literature are, in this way, transmitted by the images bearing an archetypal meaning that circulates from the text towards the life of the reader, to promote the equilibrium of the polarities, through the creative elaboration of alterity represented by the unconscious, in the construction of the ego´s identity. The thematic axe\'s that organize this study are: 1) The General Archetypology, of Gilbert Durand (1997); 2) the notion of image according to the Archetypal Psychology, of James Hillman (1997b). From an hermeneutic perspective, which looks for an openness that goes from the discourse towards the existential (Paula Carvalho, 1998, 59), I get images from three classical novels, in order to understand themselves in the convergence of life with reading, even guiding me to the direction of the discovery of my own essential image or daimon - in which I recognize the objective of education. The mentioned novels were read apart from school. Nevertheless, they became specially significant in my educational process due to the dynamism proposed by the official schooling dimension - also completely necessary so that this experience with meaning could be built. So, I come back to Madame Bovary, by Gustave Flaubert, as an example of a literature that forms the heroic sensibility; to Decameron, by Giovanni Bocaccio, as an example of a literature that forms the mystic sensibility; to O morro dos ventos uivantes, by Emily Brontë, as an example of a literature that forms the dramatic sensibility.

Livros para a infância: uma leitura hermenêutica sobre imagens e narrativas / Books for childhood: a hermeneutic reading of images and narratives

Silva, Camila Teresa da 19 March 2018 (has links)
This paper aimed to develop, through a theoretical basis, a reading of images and narratives in illustrated books for childhood. The research, qualitative and exploratory, seeks the use of symbolic hermeneutics to bring to the light the universe of the symbol of Gilbert Durand, Joseph Campbell and Ernst Cassirer, with the intention of rescuing the power of the symbol that is behind the creation of the image. it is based on Maurice Merleu-Pontys phenomenology and on Gaston Bachelards concept of dense description for the readings. it assumes a perspective on the interpretive journey, developed by Professor Marcos Ferreira-Santos, who proposes the reading of the images / narrative / illustrations, starting from the thought that a symbolic reading can go beyond the rational and objective aspect, being able to create access routes for the understanding and assimilation of the piece of work. To do so, we will try to establish symbolic relations between images, narratives and themes, under the tragic perspective of Rogério de Almeida, that is, reading the pieces of works selected by the human thematic, which is, topics normally avoided in communication with children, and therefore, presenting some resistance to be worked in the educational environment. From this, it will attempt to contemplate possible readings and new dimensions to contribute to educational practices, as well as on their formative paths.

Nas trilhas do herói. histórias em quadrinhos & itinerários de formação / In the tracks of the hero: comic books & training itineraries

Brésio, Sabrina da Paixão 12 September 2016 (has links)
\"The hero\'s jornney is a sellf-formative path present in ancestral narratives which, going beyond space-time barriers, still echo in contemporary productions without losing its symbolic potential. Following the paths of the structure of imaginary Symbol, we\'ll keep up the protagonists of the comics It\'s a bird, from Steven T. Seagle and Teddy Kristiansen, Daytripper, created by Gabriel Bá e Fábio Moon, e Habibi, from Craig Thompson, who tread their way through the labyrinthine of world knowledge process and of itself. From the methodological ways of mythopoetic and comparative mythology, we will searching for the threads that indicates \"how one becomes what one is\", in a poetic investigation that merges processes of self-formatives itineraries in comic books, highlighting the value of the experience, the role of narrative in the constitution itself and the tessitura with the Pedagogy of choice , as well as relations between the artistic composition of the comic, the relationship with the heroic journey and educational processes.

Aspectos da formação da identidade do migrante: pedagogia da escolha, imaginário e sociedade / Aspects of migrants identity training : pedagogy of choice, imaginary and society

Giraldes, Antônio Roberto 09 May 2016 (has links)
The theories about identity, much more than tread on a place of methods that, throught the times, refuse to be renewed, become a web, observant mandalas, criteria and perceptions varied themselves and between the object in question, in an fleeting construct, however, extremely fascinating for researcher, who is an eternal seeker of the human identity and seeker from itself. The objective of this work is to establish a discussion about the ways in which this identities path can be contemplated, relating it to the migrants and to how they use their experiences to recreate their direction in the world and, consequently, their identities. Therefore, departing from EDGAR MORIN and his conception of complex reason, an interlacing among some fields of knowledge was made: a focus on culture and society (CASTELLS, BAUMAN and HALL), as well imaginary anthropology and anthropological path (BACHELARD, DURAND and MAFFESOLI). In this interlacing, we articulated stereotyped concepts, arquetipia, otherness and alienation, linking them to globalization, the late modernity, the pedagogy of choice and love fati (NIETZCHE). The subjects participants of process are migrants that, departing from various communicative forms linked to them life stories (RUBIO), make up, each one their identity. In these stories, great possibilities of epistemological meetings were observed, such between anthropology of the imaginary and sociological theories, as if the bridges between knowledge, by arising, bringed news paths for our understanding about identities: collective, individual, social or imaginary. In addition, migration is noted as bridge and discovery perceptions about identity, path on which late modernity spends itself, referring to the cultures mosaic illuminated for globalization, understood both as cause and consequence of those social phenomena: the migrant / wanderer and his life stories illustrate and contemplate truths and repertoires very important to an human existential accomplishment face of late modernity.
