Att bryta ett kriminellt beteende hos ungdomar : En kvalitativ studie om socialarbetares metoder och val av metoder / Breaking a criminal behavior in adolescents : A qualitative study of social workers practice and choice of methods

The purpose of this study is to search and analyze different logics that operators use in the work of helping juvenile delinquents to break their criminal behavior. New institutional theory is used in this study to analyze the results. The study was conducted through qualitative interviews of six professionals in two municipalities which work with juvenile delinquency. There are two questions that we want to address in this study. The first one is what methods the social workers are using in two middle large municipalities to help youth to brake there criminal behavior. The other question is what logics are behind the social workers work so that juvenile delinquency can break their criminal behavior.This study showed that different programs are used by social workers and that the social workers logics are important in choosing what program or treatment they are going to give the young adults so that they can break their criminal behavior. The result also showed that the social workers in two municipalities work with multiple operators such as schools and police to create a network around the youth in difficult situations.

Folkbibliotek i tider av förändring : en narrativ analys / The public library in times of change : a narrative analysis

The purpose of this study is to penetrate how democracy in the public library is perceived, and in which context. Also the question of how the public library is legitimized, and in which context this is addressed. These two questions are then related to Bibliotekslagen §2. The focus for the study are texts written during the pandemic, and until after the war in Ukraine began. Trough narrative analysis, the texts are interpreted in the light of new institutional theory. Six main narratives with underlying narratives are found, and one narrative that goes across all other narratives. The narratives are 1) the public library in crisis or war 2) the public library and democracy 3) the public library and the municipally 4) the public library as the meeting place of the society 5) the public library and the librarians 6) the public library and communication. The narrative of the public library’s mission and supply of activities is a narrative found that goes across all other narratives. All narratives show discrepancies in the opinions that are found in the texts. This shows the challenges the public library faces in times of change.

Att rida på hållbarhetsvågen: enlegitimerande boost för PR? : En kvalitativ studie om branschmönster och legitimeringar blandsvenska PR-byråer

Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka om och i så fall hur PR-byråer använder hållbarhetsdiskursen för att legitimera sina verksamheter. Det görs genom en kvalitativ textanalys där vi eftersträvar att bidra med kunskap om branschmönster och legitimeringar i svensk PR-praktik. Genom att analysera PR-byråers texter om tjänster kring hållbarhetskommunikation på deras webbsidor, har vi med kritisk diskursanalys identifierat texternas legitimerande effekt. Kritisk diskursanalys används som både metod och teori, och studien kompletteras med ny-institutionell teori vars centrala delar och begrepp haft stor betydelse för studien. Med de båda teorierna som verktyg kom vi fram till fyra teman i resultatet som var 1) vikten av hållbarhetskommunikation, 2) PR-byråernas expertis, 3)hållbarhetskommunikation som affärsmöjlighet samt 4) kundens behov av PR-byrån.Slutligen kunde ett sammantaget narrativ identifieras i PR-byråernas tjänsteerbjudanden kring hållbarhetskommunikation. Resultatet visade att PR-byråerna stärker den organisatoriska legitimiteten genom narrativet. Då narrativet i förekommande fall dessutom används isamband med hållbarhetsdiskursen föreslår vi att narrativets legitimerande effekt förstärks ytterligare genom grön legitimering.

Barn i separationskonflikt : profesionellas perspektiv

Syftet med denna studie har varit att undersöka och jämföra hur fyra professionella inom olika människovårdande yrkesgrupper uppfattar sina möjligheter att uppmärksamma och hjälpa barn som upplever föräldrars konflikter med anledning av separation. Studien har genomförts med hjälp av en kvalitativ metod genom att intervjua en: skolkurator, skolpsykolog, samordnare och familjerättssekreterare. De teoretiska utgångspunkter vi använt oss av är professionsteori med begreppen jurisdiktion och handlingsutrymme samt nyinstitutionell teori inbegripande begreppet organisatoriskt fält. Utifrån dessa teorier och begrepp har vi undersökt och jämfört hur en skolkurator, en skolpsykolog, en samordnare och en familjerättssekreterare enskilt och i jämförelse med varandra beskriver sitt arbeta, om problematiken framkommer i yrkesgruppernas arbete samt hur de arbetar i möten med barn. Alla informanter beskriver att barn kan må dåligt av föräldrars konflikt med anledning av separation. I vissa fall, och i olika utsträckning kan detta komma till uttryck i mötet med de professionella i studien. De uttryck hos barnen som lyfts fram i studien är dåligt mående, beteendeproblem, koncentrationssvårigheter och försämrade skolprestationer. Representanterna från de olika professionerna har olika förutsättningar att hjälpa dessa barn beroende på deras olika utgångspunkter och arbetsuppgifter / The purpose of this qualitative study is to examine and compare how professionals in four groups in Human Services perceive their possibilities to see, understand and help children who experience parental conflicts due to separation. A qualitative method has been used, where the selection of participants was made through appropriate sampling. The theoretical basis applied involves professional theory with the concepts jurisdiction and scope for action, as well as new institutional theory including the concept organizational field. Based on these theories and concepts we have examined and compared how the professionals from four occuapational groups; school counselor, school psychologist, coordinator and secretary of family law, individually and in comparison with each other, describe their work with this type of problems and how they act in meetings with children. The results show that the professionals have the experience that children may feel bad about the conflict between their parents in connection with separation. In some cases, and to a varying extent, this may be expressed in meetings with the professional groups in the study. The reactions of the children highlighted in the study are bad mood, behavioral problems, difficulty to concentrate and deteriorating school performance. The professionals from the different professional groups, depending on their jurisdiction and scope for action, have different abilities to help the children showing these reactions.

The purpose of this study is to understand how political parties behave and why they take the positions and make the decisions that they regarding a certain policy. The study examines three Swedish political parties, the Christian Democrats, the Liberals and the Centre party position or views on parochial schools (religious private schools). In order to understand these party's actions, an analysis with the help of two theories, the rational perspective-based Policy, Office or Votes and New institutional theory, whereby party's action are governed by the norms their norms (ideology). In my findings I found that all the parties acted the way they did to obtain Policy, Office or Votes. The New institutional theory also gave explanations that the Christian Democrats acted in accordance with their ideology while the other two parties did not.

Lean i hälso- och sjukvården - En studie på två kliniker i Region Jönköpings län / Lean in Healthcare - A study of two clinics in the Region Jönköping county

Bakgrund: Offentliga organisationer har under de senaste decennierna utsatts för förändring, detta till följd av ett ökat krav på effektivitet. Som svar på detta har styrinstrument (management verktyg) från industriella sammanhang hämtats för att bemöta denna effektivitet, ett av dessa verktyg är Lean, som i hälso- och sjukvården fått namnet Lean Healthcare. Lean kan ses vara ett koncept som färdats från tillverkningsindustrin in till hälso- och sjukvården där den översatts, något som medfört att det teoretiska ramverket översättningsmodellen används för att förstå denna översättning i hälso- och sjukvården.   Syfte: Syftet med studien är att beskriva och förklara hur olika hälso- och sjukvårdsorganisationer översätter Lean. Detta för att bidra med kunskap om vad Lean står för i hälso- och sjukvården, samt vilka möjligheter och svårigheter som existerar.   Metodval: En kvalitativ flerfallstudie har genomförts för att kunna förstår hur Lean översatts i hälso- och sjukvården. Datainsamlingen har genomförts genom semistrukturerade intervjuer på kliniknivå vilket inneburit att vi haft kontakt med läkare, sjuksköterskor, fysiker, specialistsjuksköterskor, barnmorskor samt administrativ ledning. Vi har även tagit del av olika dokument som medfört en bredare förståelse för hur översättningen sett ut.   Slutsatser: Vi har sett hur idén, Lean, genomgått olika faser i klinikerna där det översatts till att bli något eget i klinikernas lokala praktiker. Vi kan konstatera att Lean i hälso- och sjukvården blir något som står för effektivitet, processtänk, samarbete och problemlösning, standardisering, visualisering, att ledarna investerar i sina anställda samt mätning och sökande efter överlevnadsgrad. Vidare kan vi konstatera att Lean i hälso- och sjukvården skapar möjligheter då det lett till effektivare behandlingstid, bättre tillgänglighet av personal, förkortade ledtider, förbättrade patientflöden, bättre arbetsmiljö och en bättre struktur. Svårigheter som visat sig uppkomma är att finna balans och anpassning, svårigheter med professioner, svårigheter med koppling till det industriella sammanhanget samt den komplexitet som hälso- och sjukvården består av där oförutsägbara händelser ofta uppstår. / Background and discussion: Public organizations have in recent decades been subjected to change, and this is due to an increased demand for efficiency. The control instrument (management tool) from industrial settings has been taken in response to this efficiency and one of them is Lean, in Healthcare named “Lean Healthcare”. Lean can be seen as an idea that has been translated from the manufacturing industry to healthcare, and the theoretical framework translation model has been used to understand this in this paper. Purpose: The purpose of the study is to describe and explain how different healthcare organizations translate Lean. This is to provide knowledge of what Lean stands for in Healthcare, as well as the difficulties and opportunities that exist. Method: A qualitative case study has been conducted to understand how Lean is translated into Healthcare. Data has been collected through semi-structured interviews at the clinic level, which meant that we had contact with doctors, nurses, physicists, specialist nurses, midwifes and administrative management. We have also taken note of the documents that enabled us to have a broad understanding of how the translation looked which has given us an understanding of the opportunities and difficulties that existed. Conclusions: We have seen how the idea, Lean, has undergone various phases in both of the clinics, where it was translated into something local. We can conclude that Lean in Healthcare is something that stands for efficiency, the process of thinking, collaboration and problem solving, standardization, visualization, leaders investing in their employees, and measurement of quest for survival. Furthermore, we note that Lean in Healthcare creates opportunities as it leads to more effective treatment, better availability of personnel, shorter lead times, improved patient flow, better work, better structure and a better working environment. Difficulties arise as proven by finding balance and alignment, difficulties with professions, difficulties related to the industrial context and the complexity of healthcare where unpredictable events are common.

Spindeln i nätet : En intervjustudie om att hantera motstridiga institutionella logiker i svensk golf. / The spider in the web : An interview study in managing competing institutional logics in Swedish golf organizations.

Syfte: Denna studie ämnar beskriva och analysera organisationsformer och ledarskap inom svensk golfverksamhet. Svensk golf är speciell eftersom den både finns i ideell form inom Riksidrottsförbundets ramar, i kombination med ett aktiebolag och som rent kommersiell verksamhet. Svensk idrottsverksamhet lägger högt fokus på samhällsvärde, samtidigt som organisationer behöver hantera en komplex ekonomisk verksamhet. Oavsett verksamhetsform kan friktion uppstå och organisationer med multipla institutionella logiker behöver hantera de krav som skapas.   Metod: Studien utfördes genom intervjuer med nio klubbchefer inom tre olika organisationsformer. Klubbchefer valdes för att de antogs ha insyn i verksamheten. Urvalet var strategiskt för att få så stor bredd som möjligt beträffande verksamhetsform, geografi, ålder och kön. Analysen genomfördes tematiskt och utgår ifrån analysprocessen ”Big Q” (Braun, Clarke & Weate, 2016) för att studera intervjupersonernas livsvärld i den svenska idrottskontexten.   Analys: Med hjälp av ny-institutionell organisationsteori diskuteras utmaningar och strategier för de olika organisationerna och för klubbcheferna som leder dem. Ett organisationsschema över golfverksamhet i Sverige presenteras för att ge en beskrivning av den kontext studien analyserar. Här beskrivs klubbchefen som ”spindeln i nätet” vilket representerar den övergripande arbetsroll hen besitter, oavsett organisationsform. Vidare presenteras en tillämpbar praktisk modell för att sammanställa och jämföra organisationsformerna.   Slutsats: De konkurrerande logikerna visar sig kunna hanteras väl inom golfen i Sverige. Verksamheterna i denna studie arbetar med ett integrerat ledningsorgan som tar hänsyn till både den samhällsfrämjande logiken och den finansiella logiken. Klubbchefen är den hybrida individen som håller samman organisationen. En återkommande utmaning är dock hög arbetsbelastning på klubbchef på grund av bristfälliga resurser, både ekonomiska möjligheter och stöd från ideellt arbetande inom organisationen. Golfaren som medlem eller kund är en central fråga för framtiden. / Purpose: This study means to describe and analyze organizational forms and management in Swedish golf organizations. Swedish golf stands out because it governs in associations within the Swedish Sport Confederations framework, in combination with an incorporated company and as a commercialized business. Swedish sports prioritize societal value and simultaneously needs to manage a complex financial business. Regardless organizational form can tension arise and organizations with multiple institutional logics needs to manage the challenges created.   Method: The study conducted interviews with nine general managers in three different organizational forms. General managers were chosen because they assumed to have insight in the organization. The sample was made strategically to get a wide population regarding organizational form, location, age, and gender. The analyze process performed thematically was inspired by the strategy “Big Q” (Braun, Clarke & Weate, 2016) to study the interviewees workday in the Swedish sport context.   Analysis: With aid from new institutionalized theory discusses challenges and strategies for the differentialized organizations and for the general manager who leads them. A club structure is presented to describe the Swedish context. The general manager describes as “the spider in the web” which represents the comprehensive work role possessed, regardless organizational form. The study also presents a practical model is to summarize and compare the organizational forms.   Conclusion: The competing logics is shown to be handled well in Swedish golf organizations. The organizations in this study govern through an integrated management which considers both social value logic and the financial logic. The general manager is the hybrid individual which holds the organization together. A recurrent challenge is a high workload on the general manager created by inadequate resources, both economic resources and lack of support from voluntary workforce. The golfer as a member or a customer is a central question for the future.

Finansiella instrument : En rättsekonomisk analys av värdepappersmarknadens grundläggande rättshandlingar / Financial instruments : A law and economics analysis of the fundamental contracts of the capital markets

This thesis evaluates and constructs a general, product-neutral legal concept and model of financial instruments, as opposed to the product-dependent definitions currently employed in contemporary capital markets law. Through a combination of law and economics perspectives, legal history, and comparative analysis, the study examines the various types of financial instruments currently and previously in use. The legal characteristics and features of these instruments are evaluated and compared, leading to the identification of commonalities that can be used to define a product-neutral concept. The thesis argues that such a concept is more beneficial to the function of the capital markets by removing obstacles for financial innovation while also providing a consistent way to ensure that new financial products are governed by the same regulatory framework as comparable instruments.The thesis also examines the historical evolution of financial instruments and how it has been driven by the evolution of international trade and the demand and surplus of available capital. The proposed concept is applied to current financial instruments, including equity and debt, as well as pre-modern markets, and evaluated in terms of regulation, practical use, and legal characteristics such as transferability and negotiability.The research of this thesis encountered several challenges and limitations. Firstly, the historical and comparative analysis proved difficult to carry out, due to limitation in available source material and language related restrictions, respectively. These limitations were overcome by limiting the scope and by employing contacts with law firms in the respective jurisdictions. Secondly, several key issues proved to require further research to be able to provide definitive conclusions. Such research would have been out of scope and as such, simplified explanations and models were employed. The thesis concludes with a discussion of the practical implications of the proposed concept, including its application to cryptocurrencies and similar assets, and identifies potential areas for future research.
