[pt] As conferências por computador incorporam-se cada vez mais ao dia-a-dia acadêmico, através de programas de ensino a distância e de sua utilização como ferramenta auxiliar no processo de ensino e aprendizagem. Contudo, os estudos têm privilegiado as modalidades sincrônicas de comunicação. As poucas incursões pela assincronia detêm-se nas listas de discussão ou limitam-se a definições no que tange ao fórum. Preenchendo esta lacuna, o presente estudo trata de um fórum de discussão privado ocorrido simultaneamente às aulas presenciais de uma turma de engenharia elétrica da PUC-Rio. O objetivo é descrever e analisar qualitativa e quantitativamente o papel do fórum enquanto experiência discursiva, investigando como se dá a interação e a construção do conhecimento; a possível caracterização do fórum como gênero ou suporte; e o efeito da intervenção do professor no processo. Inspirada pelo sociointeracionismo, a análise focou a freqüência de participação e sua direcionalidade, o fluxo de tópico, a presença social e cognitiva via índices lingüísticos que indicassem afeto, atitude, metacognição, complexidade lexical e sintática. Os resultados sugerem que o fórum deveria ser investigado dentro de um arcabouço de estudos de gênero. Sugerem também que o fórum é um gênero e funciona como uma comunidade de prática, favorecendo a reflexão crítica através de práticas discursivas dialógicas, a aprendizagem de elos coesivos na produção textual, o processo de letramento e de desenvolvimento da inteligência coletiva. Aparentemente, o fórum de discussão contribui para a construção da identidade social e profissional dos participantes. / [en] Computer conferencing has been increasingly incorporated to academic routines, either in distance learning or in the regular classroom, as a support. Nevertheless, the literature has focused on synchronous CMC; its few incursions into asynchrony refer to discussion lists or limit themselves to defining the forum. To fill up such a gap, this study focuses on a private forum held simultaneously with classroom learning by undergrads in Electrical Engineering, at PUC-Rio. Its objective is to describe and analyze, quantitative and qualitatively, the role of the forum as a discursive experience, investigating how interaction and knowledge construction take place; the possibility of characterizing the forum as a genre; and the effect of teacher`s intervention in the process. Inspired by sociointeractionism, it analyzed participation and interactional direction, the topic framework, social and cognitive aspects signaled by linguistic devices that represent affect, attitude, metacognition, lexical and syntactic complexity. Results suggest that future studies need to address the forum within the paradigm of genre study. It also suggests that the forum is a genre and functions as a community of inquiry, leading to critical thinking by means of dialogical discursive and literacy practices, learning of coesive ties in writing, and the development of collective intelligence. Apparently, it contributes to the construction of the social and professional identities of the participants.

[pt] Uma parcela significativa das transformações na sociedade que ocorreram nos últimos anos pode ser atribuída à difusão da Internet. Com o surgimento dos chats, emails, sites, blogs e redes sociais, as pessoas encontraram novas formas de se comunicar, sem limitações geográficas, interagindo com rapidez e facilidade com aqueles com quem possuem interesses em comum. Embora as redes sociais tenham sido inicialmente idealizadas com o intuito de gerar a aproximação entre amigos e propiciar a criação de novas amizades, um novo e interessante fenômeno começou a surgir: o luto virtual. Esta tese tem como foco estudar especificamente este tipo de manifestação nas comunidades do Orkut, criadas por pais enlutados que sentiram a necessidade de compartilhar a sua dor com outros que passaram por experiências semelhantes. Para realizar uma análise consistente e aprofundada sobre a utilização do luto virtual, foi imprescindível recorrer a uma ampla bibliografia sobre o papel do filho dentro de uma família e investigar a visão de diversos especialistas no processo psicológico de elaboração do luto, especialmente no que concerne às fases que um indivíduo atravessa ao perder um ente querido. Também foi necessário levantar informações através de uma pesquisa de campo que contemplou uma amostra de vinte pais enlutados que participam de comunidades no Orkut voltadas para este segmento. Embora a dor de perder um filho possa parecer insuportável e eterna para quem a vivencia, este trabalho revela o importante papel que as comunidades virtuais desempenham junto a este público. A pesquisa indicou que os pais enlutados acreditam que mitigar a dor, e não sucumbir, parece ser um objetivo inalcançável. Se a dor de perder um filho parece se assemelhar a uma sensação de cair em um abismo, as comunidades virtuais para pais enlutados funcionam como cordas de resgate. De acordo com os entrevistados, entre os benefícios de participar destes grupos destacam-se a possibilidade de dividir o peso deste sentimento com os demais membros, aprender como aqueles que deram a volta por cima, ter a oportunidade de ler, escrever ou receber depoimentos similares; ter a chance de desabafar sem ser interrompido ou recriminado e receber palavras de carinho, incentivo e apoio sem que estas frases sejam insensíveis, ofensivas ou invasivas, justamente porque foram expressas por alguém que viveu o mesmo drama. Esta percepção é compartilhada por pais de diversas faixas etárias e classes sociais, em distintas fases de elaboração do luto e com filhos falecidos em diferentes idades. Nesse sentido, ter a sensação de proximidade com outros pais enlutados de qualquer lugar, a qualquer hora, faz com que a solidão seja minimizada porque passa a ser compartilhada com aqueles que sofreram o mesmo impacto. / [en] A significant number of the changes occurred in society in recent years can be attributed to the diffusion of the Internet. With the emergence of chats, emails, websites, blogs and social networks, people have found new ways to communicate without geographical limitations, interacting with speed and ease with those who share common interests. Although social networks were originally devised to generate closeness among friends and foster the creation of new friendships, a new and interesting phenomenon began to emerge: the virtual mourning. This thesis focuses specifically on this type of manifestation in ORKUT communities, established by bereaved parents who felt the need to share their grief with other parents who have had similar experiences. It was essential to resort to a wide literature on the role of the child within a family and investigate the vision of several experts regarding the psychological process of elaboration of mourning in order to perform a consistent and thorough analysis on the use of virtual mourning, especially those concerning the stages an individual goes through when losing a loved one. It was also necessary to gather information through field research that included a sample of twenty bereaved parents participating in ORKUT communities focused on this segment. Although the pain of losing a child may seem unbearable and eternal for those who experience it, this work reveals the important role that virtual communities have to this public. The survey indicated that bereaved parents believe to be an impossible and even unattainable goal to mitigate their pain, and not succumb. If the pain of losing a child seems to resemble a feeling of falling into an abyss, virtual communities for bereaved parents act as rescue ropes. According to respondents, among the benefits of participating in such groups emerge the possibility of dividing the weight of their feelings with other members, learn from those who were able stand up again on their own feet, have the opportunity to read, write or receive similar statements; have the chance to vent without being stopped or reproached and receive words of affection, encouragement and support and even phrases which when said by others would seem insensitive, offensive or intrusive, but not in this specific case because they were expressed by someone who lived the same drama. This perception is shared by parents of different ages and social classes, in different stages of elaboration of mourning for deceased children at different ages. In this regard, to have a sense of closeness with other bereaved parents from anywhere, at any time, minimizes loneliness because it is shared with those who have suffered the same impact.

[pt] A presente pesquisa é um diálogo entre dois temas fundamentais e, ao mesmo tempo, desafiadores para a agenda pastoral do século XXI: iniciação à vida cristã e instituição paroquial. Iniciar na fé, em tempos do fim do cristianismo sociológico, e atrair para a vida em comunidade, quando cresce a disinstitucionalização religiosa, são tarefas nada fáceis. A Igreja vem se empenhando para responder a tais desafios. Encontrou no catecumenato a grande redescoberta pastoral para iniciar na fé. Trata-se de um caminho privilegiado de transmitir a fé, de amadurecê-la e fazê-la progredir. A pedagogia catecumenal possui características fundamentais para o amadurecimento do ser cristão, tais como a progressividade da fé, o casamento catequese-liturgia, forte densidade mistagógica e experiencial da fé, entre outras. Contudo, o catecumenato depende de renovadas estruturas eclesiais, e aqui chegamos ao paroquial, cujo cansaço institucional não vem de hoje, assim como não são de hoje as tentativas de renovação. Nossa pesquisa mostra que fundamental é perceber que iniciação cristã catecumenal e renovação paroquial não são dois temas distantes, por isso mesmo devem ser pensados conjuntamente, na certeza de que o futuro de um depende da vitalidade do outro, e vice-versa. Há entre eles uma relação muito próxima, uma feliz dependência, a qual chamamos relação dialética. A dinâmica catecumenal é fundamental não somente para a iniciação cristã, mas questiona, provoca, ilumina a conversão paroquial, e esta, à medida que se renova é decisiva para a consolidação e prática catecumenal. Portanto, trata-se de um processo relacional, de iluminação mútua. Entre novo modelo de paróquia, e consolidação da prática catecumenal, o futuro de um depende da vitalidade do outro. / [en] This present research is a dialogue between two fundamental themes and at the same time challenging for the pastoral agenda of the XXI century: initiation into Christian life and parochial institution. Initiate faith, in the end times of sociological Christianity, and to attract community life, when growing religious disinstitutionalization, are not easy tasks. The Church has been committed to respond to these challenges. In the catechumenate, is found the great pastoral rediscovery of faith initiation. It treats a privileged way to transmit faith, ripen it and make it progress. The catechumenal pedagogy has fundamental characteristics for the maturity of the Christian being, such as the progressing of faith, the marriage catechesis- liturgy, strong mystagogic density and experiential of faith, among others. However, the catechumenate depends on renewed ecclesial structures, and here we come to the parochial level, whose institutional fatigue does not come today, as they are not today s attempts of renewals. Our research shows that fundamentally, it is seem that, the Christian Initiation catechumenal and the parochial renewal are not two distinct themes , therefore, should be thought of together, in the certainty that the future of one depends on the vitality of the other, and vice versa . There is a very close relationship between them, a happy dependency, which we call dialectical relationship. The catechumenal dynamical is essential not only for the Christian initiation, but questions, provokes, enlightens parochial conversion, and this , as it renews itself, is decisive for the consolidation and catechumenal practice. Therefore, it treats a relational process of mutual illumination. Among new model of parochial, and consolidating catechumenal practice, the future of one depends on the vitality of the other.

[pt] Enquanto a moldura teórica de Clausewitz foi essencial para lidar com as guerras modernas, a compreensão do uso da força em nome da comunidade internacional ainda demanda urgentemente uma teoria de trabalho. Em 1945, o preâmbulo da Carta das Nações Unidas, ao enfatizar a determinação de salvar as gerações futuras do flagelo da guerra, estabeleceu uma clara dicotomia entre o bem, representado pela paz, e o mal, representado pela guerra. Entretanto, esta tentativa de evitar as guerras entre estados e de proteger as populações acabou criando as condições de possibilidade para o uso da força em nome da comunidade internacional. O fenômeno do uso da força em nome da comunidade internacional é relativamente novo e tem sido caracterizado, principalmente, por operações de manutenção da paz robustas, intervenções humanitárias e, ainda mais recentemente, pela responsabilidade de proteger (R2P). Inspirado em uma abordagem clausewitziana e introduzindo conceitos, tais como as operações de manutenção da paz absolutas (absolute peacekeeping) e a trindade terciária, a presente tese de doutorado propõe uma moldura teórica para compreender o uso da força em nome da comunidade internacional, aplicando, ainda, a moldura proposta em dois eventos recentes: a operação de manutenção da paz no Haiti (MINUSTAH) e a intervenção de 2011 na Líbia. / [en] While Clausewitz s theoretical framework was instrumental in dealing with modern wars, the undrestanding of the use of force on behalf of the internacional community is still in urgent need of a working theory. In 1945, the preamble of the Charter of the United Nations, while emphasizing the determination to save future generations from the scourge of war, established a clear dichotomy between good, represented by peace, and evil, represented by war. Nevertheless, the attempt to avoid wars between states and to protect populations ended up creating the conditions of possibility for the use of force on the behalf of the international community. The phenomenon of the use of force on behalf of the international community is therefore somewhat new. It has been mainly characterized by contemporary robust peacekeenping, humanitarian interventions, and (even more recently) responsibility to protect (R2P). Inspired by a Clausewitzian approach and introducing concepts such as abolute peacekeeping and thrinity, the present doctoral dissertation proposes a theoretical framework to understand the use of force on behalf of the international community. It also applies the proposed theoretical framework in order to understand two recent events: the UN peacekeeping operation in Haiti (MINUSTAH) and the 2011 intervention in Libya.

[pt] Esta dissertação analisará a (re)produção das formas de controles de corpos e sexualidades em diferentes espaços e tempos. Tal análise é possível através do entendimento, desenvolvido em trabalhos anteriores, de que o pensamento moldado pela Inquisição e a caça às bruxas na Idade Média foi reproduzido durante a construção do Brasil enquanto sociedade. No trabalho presente, será somada a tal entendimento a hipótese de que o pensamento medieval continua permeando o imaginário social da sociedade brasileira na atualidade. Para tal, serão analisadas práticas de esterilização involuntárias de mulheres negras no Brasil a partir da década de 1980; assim como, discursos e práticas violentas contra a comunidade LGBTQIA+ (Lésbicas, Gays, Bissexuais, Travestis/Transexuais/Transgêneros, Queers, Intersexuais, Agêneros/Assexuais/Arromânticos e outras possibilidades de orientação sexual e identificação de gênero) perpetrados por grupos contra a ideologia de gênero, representados aqui em grande parte por membros do governo Bolsonaro. Com base em correntes teóricas feministas, principalmente dos feminismos negro e decolonial, serão ressaltados os efeitos das posicionalidades de gênero, sexualidade e raça dos sujeitos alvos de violência. / [en] This dissertation will analyze the (re)production of forms of control of bodies and sexualities in different spaces and times. Such an analysis is possible through the understanding, developed in previous works, that the thought shaped by the Inquisition and the witch hunt in the Middle Ages was reproduced during the construction of Brazil as a society. In the present work, it will be added to this understanding the hypothesis that the medieval thought continues to permeate the social imaginary of Brazilian society today. To this end, involuntary sterilization practices of black women in Brazil from the 1980s will be analyzed; as well as, violent speeches and practices against the LGBTQIA+ (Lesbians, Gays, Bisexuals, Trans/Transsexual/Transgender, Queer, Intersex, Asexuals/Aromantics and other possibilities of sexual orientation and gender identification) community perpetrated by groups against the gender ideology, represented here largely by members of the Bolsonaro government. Based on feminist theoretical currents, mainly black and decolonial feminisms, the effects of the gender, sexuality and race positions of the subjects targeted by violence will be highlighted.

[pt] Este estudo busca entender a (re)construção identitária de uma professora de inglês, que, como parte de seu processo de formação continuada, foi incentivada a tornar-se pesquisadora reflexiva e exploratória. O contexto escolhido foi um curso de Pós-Graduação Lato Sensu em Língua Inglesa em que a professora e eu trabalhamos colaborativamente para entender o processo de tornar-se pesquisadora assim como o nosso envolvimento nele. Os dados principais do estudo foram gerados ao nos engajarmos em entrevistas de pesquisa adaptadas para estabelecer um foco exploratório para nossas questões. O caráter híbrido da Prática Exploratória contribuiu para que a geração dos dados também suscitasse entendimentos acerca de questões de interesse das duas praticantes do estudo. Servindo-se de construtos da Sociolinguística Interacional, a análise voltou-se para a (re)criação da trajetória de pesquisa da professora, bem como para a (re)construção de sua identidade exploratória. O foco da análise recaiu sobre a coconstrução de explicações e de uma crônica, em forma de histórias apoiadas em sistemas de coerência. Na articulação da trajetória reflexiva de suas histórias, a professora buscou construir-se como membro iniciante da Comunidade de Prática Exploratória. O olhar analítico foi lançado não apenas à construção discursiva da professora-pesquisadora, mas também à minha, especialmente em relação ao meu desenvolvimento como membro mais sênior dessa comunidade de prática. Acredito que o paradigma de pesquisa do praticante, balizado pelos princípios ético-inclusivos da Prática Exploratória, possibilitou o envolvimento de ambas praticantes exploratórias no trabalho para entender o processo reflexivo de tornar-se pesquisador. / [en] This investigation aims at understanding the identity construction of a developing language teacher, as she takes up practitioner research as part of a pre-requisite for her academic work in a teacher development course. The teacher and I worked collaboratively to understand both the process of becoming a practitioner researcher and our involvement in it. The primary data of the study was generated through research interviews with an exploratory focus to understand the reflection process. The development of hybridity in Exploratory Practice enabled the data generated to constitute work for understanding for both practitioners intriguing puzzles. In the light of Interactional Sociolinguistics, the analysis concentrated on the (re)creation of the developing teacher s research trajectory, as well as the (re)construction of her exploratory identity. The discursive production of explanations and one chronicle in the form of stories was analyzed based on the coherence systems present in them. Along with the reflective trajectory of her stories, the teacher was discursively becoming a new member of the Exploratory Practice Community. It is important to highlight that the analysis did not only focus on the teacher s discourse actions, but also on mine; especially, as I was becoming more senior in this community and developing as a practitioner researcher. Practitioner research based on the inclusive principles of Exploratory Practice has provided opportunities for both practitioners to gain deeper understandings of the process of becoming researchers.

[pt] Utilizando as contribuições de Karen Barad como quadro ontológico, esta dissertação trata das consequências éticas e políticas da adoção de teorias liberais, construtivistas e novo-materialistas para o estudo do papel da Comunidade Econômica dos Estados da África Ocidental (CEDEAO) na crise do Mali entre 2020 e 2021. / [en] Using Karen Barad s contributions as an ontological framework, this dissertation inquires about the ethical and political consequences of adopting liberal, constructivist and new-materialist theories in the study of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) role during Mali s crisis between 2020 and 2021.

[pt] Esta é uma pesquisa nos campos da Comunicação Comunitária e da Economia Política da Comunicação. Procuramos entender como as favelas são representadas nos telejornais locais, com estudo de caso no telejornal carioca de maior audiência. A partir disso, pesquisamos algumas iniciativas de Comunicação Social para descobrir se cursos de audiovisual podem contribuir para que jovens moradores de favelas criem projetos que deem voz às comunidades, e ainda possam dar a eles uma profissão que contribua para o seu crescimento. Este trabalho se insere nos campos supracitados por lidar com todas as mazelas e benefícios que o uso das novas tecnologias possui, além de mostrar novos horizontes no campo do audiovisual. Nossos objetos de estudo foram o jornal local RJTV primeira edição, da Rede Globo, a plataforma de vídeos online YouTube e quatro projetos comunitários com sede no Rio de Janeiro. A metodologia utilizada partiu de um levantamento bibliográfico e se estendeu para a análise de conteúdo e estudos de caso. Também utilizamos questionários do tipo entrevista fechada e fizemos entrevistas semi-abertas. Chegamos à conclusão de que a criação de cursos de capacitação em audiovisual comunitários, como edição e produção, podem contribuir e muito para a democratização da comunicação e ajudar na formação profissional de jovens moradores de favelas. / [en] This is a research in the fields of Community Communication and the Political Economy of Communication. We seek to understand how favelas are represented in local TV news, based on a case study in Rio s news broadcast with the highest audience. Based on this, we researched some initiatives in Social Communication to find out if audiovisual courses can help young slum dwellers create projects that give voice to the communities, and also offer them a profession that contributes to their growth. This work is part of studies on the fields cited above because it deals with all the problems and benefits that the use of new technologies has, in addition to showing new horizons in the audiovisual field. Our objects of study were the local TV news RJTV first edition, from Rede Globo, the online video platform YouTube and four community projects based in Rio de Janeiro. The methodology used started from a bibliographic survey and extended to content analysis and case studies. We also used questionnaires and conducted semi-open interviews. We concluded that the creation of training courses in community audiovisual, such as editing and production, can greatly contribute to the democratization of communication and help in the professional training of young people living in favelas.

[pt] O presente trabalho analisa a linguagem política republicana através de textos produzidos por Hermes da Fonseca, Rui Barbosa e seus correligionários no contexto da Campanha Civilista. Ao contrário da historiografia mais tradicional, buscaremos mostrar como os dois candidatos tinham ideias mais convergentes do que divergentes a respeito da república brasileira, apesar de suas formações profissionais distintas. Tal proximidade entre as ideias se deve ao fato de ambos participarem de uma mesma comunidade linguística (no sentido empregado por Pocock), onde tanto a política republicana como a nação vinham apresentadas de maneira bastante semelhantes. Foram as distintas inserções e as alianças que cada um estabeleceu com os grupos políticos regionais, então em embate, que continuaram sendo as principais responsáveis pela demarcação das suas diferenças durante a disputa presidencial. / [en] In this dissertation I analyze the republican political language through the texts produced by Hermes da Fonseca, Rui Barbosa, and their followers during the so-called Campanha Civilista. Unlike the traditional historiography, I will try to demonstrate that the ideas of both candidates about the Brazilian Republic were more convergent than divergent, despite their different professional backgrounds. Such similarity is due to the fact that both shared a same linguistic community (in the sense Pocock understands it) wherethe concept of republican politics and that one of nation appear in a very similar way. Their distinctalliances ans insertions among the regional political groups remained being responsible for the main differences they presented during this presidential campaign.

[pt] O presente trabalho é um estudo de caso que investiga, segundo os estudos de Etienne Wenger, aspectos da qualidade da experiência de usuários quanto à interface de comunidades virtuais de práticas na ambiência CoPPLA (Plataforma de Comunidade de Práticas), no âmbito da Educação Permanente em Saúde, o projeto Caminhos do Cuidado, uma iniciativa do Ministério da Saúde do Brasil. Partindo de levantamento que apontou a ausência de iniciativas desse tipo no Brasil, a pergunta que orienta esta pesquisa é: a dificuldade de interação afeta a adesão e permanência dos usuários, inibindo sua participação proativa? Para buscar respostas, explora os conceitos de Educação Permanente e de Virtual em suas imbricações com a mídia digital e seus códigos e dimensões próprios de ergonomia e design, para, em seguida, colher dados qualitativos e apresentar breve análise sobre as principais dificuldades e facilidades de interação com a plataforma CoPPLA relatadas por seus usuários: docentes e profissionais com vínculos diversos ligados ao Sistema Único de Saúde (SUS), maior sistema de saúde do mundo. / [en] This paper is a case study that investigates, according to Etienne Wenger studies, aspects of the quality of the user experience regarding the interface of virtual communities of practice in CoPPLA (Community of Practice Platform) ambience within the Permanent Education Health: Care Pathways project, an initiative of the Ministry of Health of Brazil. Starting from a previous survey s findings, pointing to the absence of such initiatives in Brazil, the question that guides this research is: the difficulty of interaction affects the adhesion and permanence of users, inhibiting its proactive participation? To seek answers, explores the concepts of Continuing Education and Virtual in their imbrications with digital media and its codes and proper dimensions of ergonomics and design, to then spoon qualitative data and present brief analysis of the main difficulties and facilities interaction with the platform CoPPLA reported by its users: teachers and professionals with many links connected to the Unified Health System (SUS), the largest health system in the world.
